My mother passed away suddenly and my mind was spinning, thankfully they stepped in and took care of everything, all I had to do was make the phone call. Everything was done with kindness and concern and done to make us feel comfortable. Covid made a terrible situation almost unbearable. My only issue was the actual burial. I understand that the hearse stopped at the pavilion because that is where normally it would stop. But with Covid we were not allowed any kind of ceremony and after stopping and waiting all the cars then drove to the actual grave site. It would have been better if Edwards had been prepared for where we needed to be.

Edwards funeral home has taken care of absolutely everyone in my family! Butch and Jim have always had the most amazing staff and they know what to do every time. I guess one could say, my experience as a customer was over 30 years ago when I lost my first grandparent. I still remember those boys and all of the personal touches they provided during my family’s time of need. Since that time, slowly but surely each member of my family has joined my grandad up in Heaven...The Edwards boys became men, I grew up and lost my own Dad in January of 2011and most recently on 3/5/21 my Mother, Sanna Sullivan or Sue Sue as she was known to her four grandsons. It was usually her that handled the details with Edwards. This time, it was my turn and if you want something done right you go to who you trust to get it done without any issues. Butch and Jim Edwards have been doing what they what they do for a very long time and they do it right! They made my Mom’s service during Covid which was no easy task since her Memorial service was held at First Methodist in Fort Smith and her intermittent was held at St. John’s Episcopal Church with a limited number of people go off without a hitch! It was almost as if she herself had planned it! Edwards offers a personal touch that is second to none. Loosing a loved one is so hard, Edwards helps make burying them a lot easier. I would never go anywhere else. Thank you boys for making my Mom’s swan song just perfect! I know she loved it! The bagpipes were nice too! ❤️

I can't imagine going anywhere other than Edwards. My Daddy in 1992, Bill's Mom in 1995, and my Mom in 2007, and now my Bill in 2021. the kindness over the phone, in person, follow up calls always comes through. I don't know if Tim planned to be over an hour with me our first meeting.....my folks and Bill & I all had the pre-arrangement plan so that made things simpler. I always recommend Edwards to all who will listen! It is hard burying your parents, but you do expect to do that. Much harder is burying your husband. Everything has been done with care, thoughtfulness and kindness. THANK YOU! And THANK YOU to Tim Chilcott who has been so good to me. :) p.s. some questions on the survey could not be answered as the service for Bill is not until this Saturday 2-27-2021 at 3:30 pm. the snow was an issue as our girls live in Wisconsin and Ohio and my brother in Chicago. this 60 degree weather should let travel be safer!! otherwise, I would not be going to any other funeral home than Edwards. thank you. :)

They were so helpful in helping plan what we wanted to do for my son. Matt was awesome and did everything we asked. He went above and beyond and even helped us gwith my son’s ashes after the service. We had little urns for brothers and sisters and parents and he filled them for us, even waiting until we finally picked out which ones we wanted. Whatever I asked he did. Couldn’t appreciate them more. I will always use them.

I was very happy with Edwards Funeral services they helped our family thur a very tough time. Because of COVID we elected to have a Memorial Service for my husband. We had a lot of compliments about how people moved from one room to sign the book and visit, while in another room we had a slide show and my sons visited with the friends and family as they watch the slide show and then exit afterwards you might say it went very smooth. Everyone was very helpful and assisted anyway they could. I was getting the picture frame ready and Tim brought the picture to me so we could get it framed and this after hour for him but he did it for me so we could have everything ready for our Memorial Service I really appreciated their help. It’s the little things that help you thur this time because I was not really ready to do this, end a chapter of my life that I shared with the one I loved was very hard for me to go thur.

I had just left the hospital after watching my loved one pass. She was an amazing woman who had met in person with the Edwards team two weeks prior. She had everything noted in detail and paid in full to ensure her family would not have deal with arrangements during this time of grief. I received a call from Tim Chilcott wanting to know if she wanted to be cremated or buried. Because he needed permission to embalm her if buried. I was shocked. I said I can’t believe you are calling me. You have all information in detail. He advised that he was the after hours Funeral Director and didn’t have HER FILE IN FRONT OF HIM. Shame on you Tim! Through tears & anger I reached out to Matt Dejarnatt another Director at Edwards. Both he and Danny Cross did an amazing job to ease our pain and assured us that everything would be perfect. It was perfect. Thank God for Matt and Danny who do a great job carrying on the Edwards Family tradition of respect and dignity. It wasn’t about what was convenient for them. They truly cared.
