I've seen a number of not so great reviews for Passfield and wanted to make sure I left my 2 cents. I have dealt with this company twice within the last 12 months, and both times I have had a comforting and pleasant experience. We were helped with the planning in advance of my mother's passing, and in the much more sudden passing of my father they were there for my sister's and I. We were at a loss and unsure of what to do, but we're given help, advice and ultimately a cremation for my father as well. I enjoyed that it was not a rigid, sterile environment and we were able to laugh and smile with Mr. Passfield even in our toughest of moments. Dealing with Passfield was affordable and almost like a family member helping us through our difficult times - I would recommend to anyone looking for a non traditional funeral for a loved one.

Very traumatic experience with "Bryon" late July, after my sisters unexpected death. Never have been spoken to so dispresectly in my life! Especially at this time. Unprofessional , no empathy at all! I have dealt with other funeral directors in this city, and all have been what anyone would expect . She was sent there by her live-in boyfriend, as her daughter lives out of province, and is still livid about his choice. We will forever have this terrible memory of our treatment from Bryon. Beyond words how angry and sad we feel!!!

Did not have a great experience when my father passed away last year. We asked that some of his ashes be set apart for scattering up North. Passfield forgot and all we got was "oops. Sorry" Very unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone and I and all my family have been telling everyone to avoid this place like the plague.

Passfield Mortuary came very highly recommended to me. My father just passed away Saturday. When I initially talked to them they were very professional very caring and very helpful. They gave me a lot of information on what needed to be done and the process on what to do to get the ball rolling. I live in British Columbia and my father died in St. Catharines. As soon as they found out someone else was the executor they treated me like an outcast even though I’m the only child. I was also lied to by Sarah Wilson as she tried to cover up mistakes made by either her staff or herself. Sarah Wilson is supposed to be a professional and understand people like myself don’t know procedures and laws but yet she skirts around said laws in other ways anyway so I guess it’s all just a matter of who shows up to pay her first but I guess she’ll find out once I speak to the lawyers.

These people where *amazing* when it came to handling my Mom's cremation. They helped us save money and time for a normally very expensive funeral service. They had our best intentions at heart, and the cost was much, much less expensive than other funeral businesses. They where also so very kind, genuinely, at such a difficult time. After reading multiple negative comments on this Google business listing, I decided to leave mine regarding Passfield Mortuary Services. As I worked in Palliative Care (end of life care) for the past 20 years, I am familiar with what it means to loose a loved one and the pain and process of grieving that a family lives through. My Mother passed, than my Dad and ricently we lost another member of our family. Someone may say "it is part of life", but it's painful. To be able to work in his field, Mr. Passfield not only had to educate himself but be sensitive and compassionate in meeting the needs of many families from different backgrounds going through difficult times. I am glad we always counted on their services Thank you.
