Otto Redanz was highly recommended to me by a friend. After meeting Michael, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that this was the best place to host my father's funeral service. The family was welcoming, sympathetic and professional. Michael was thorough and informative, he made sure I understood every aspect of the process and helped me make some hard decisions. It was a burden off my grieving shoulders. The service itself was beautiful. Michael and Laura were attentive to our every need, as well as monitored the flow of guests coming and going (service was held during the covid pandemic), and had the chapel staged to showcase some of my father's photographs and belongings. The best part - they set up a virtual stream so that family and friends unable to physically attend were still able to watch the service from home... this detail really made all the difference. I am forever grateful to Michael Goodlander and his family for their ability to create such a peaceful and reminiscent space. I encourage those looking for funeral homes to strongly consider hosting at Otto Redanz, you will be met with high quality service from beginning to end, guaranteed.

Mike and Laura were such a God send to us when our Mother passed away in 2016 and just recently when my Father passed. When we met with Mike he showed us so much compassion and made my Sister and I feel confident that Mike would take great care of our Father. From beginning to end Mike did not let us down. Otto Redanz Funeral home is a warm, genuine place to deal with the death of your loved one. Mike and Laura took care of the small details of the viewing and funeral service. I would recommend pre-planning if all possible as you have some many other things to deal with when emotions are running high. The military honors was very touching at the cemetery and will forever be in my heart. Richard had stated he wanted to make sure to include his military service as it was important to him. My family were impressed all the COVID precautions and rules that were followed . I definitively recommend this funeral home when dealing with this difficult time of your life.

This funeral home had provided the services for his wife Norma's funeral in 1992. From our very first contact with Laura we had such confidence in the decision to use Otto Redanz. The meeting that we had with Michael was wonderful! He made all the decision making so easy and we appreciated the opportunity to pay with one check. Their funeral home is a lovely, homey, comfortable facility in which to have a service. The attention to detail was so impressive! Many helpful suggestions were made along the way. We would highly recommend this funeral home for anyone in need. How nice it is in what can be such a traumatic time in one's life to leave with such a sense of calm and gratitude.

On May 20th i lost a special person that has been a big part of my life for the last 15years. I called Otto redanz that night and before i knew it they were by side. They were very comforting and very caring to me, my son and parents. Being very professional, and explained everything to me about what the next step was that i needed to take as my heart was broken and i was in shock.They gave me time to say my goodbyes. Right then in there i knew I had made the right decision that I put my loved one in the hands of Otto redanz(Mike & Laura Goodlander) they helped me through every step of the way and were very compassionate to me. While making my arrangements as it was my first time and I was devistated and heartbroken I found Otto redanz amazing. It's a very clean and up to date furneral home. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael and Laura Goodlander in the Fall of 2019, during the pre-planning process of my mother’s and father’s funeral arrangements. A process no one likes to undertake, Michael and Laura made the experience, dare I say, enjoyable and easy. Michael was very knowledgeable of the entire process including the Medicaid application process for nursing home residents and the whole spend-down process, which is what my family happened to be right in the middle of. Michael and Laura spent nearly three hours with us and answered every question we threw at them, and we left his office with two funerals completely planned and our minds completely at ease. Unfortunately, my father passed away on January 4, 2021; and once again, we enlisted the help of Michael and Laura and received that help in abundance. From the initial call letting Michael know that my father had passed, a call they had already received from the nursing home, until days after the funeral, Michael and his wife were there for us. Texting, calling, and/or emailing, keeping us well informed of all of the plans and where they were in the process allowing us to grieve and spend time with family and not having to worry about all of the details. My father’s wake and service was beautiful and every detail was thought out and well planned. Throughout this entire process, we found both Michael and Laura to be extremely friendly, personable, and easy to talk to. They allowed us to cry, tell stories, reminisce, laughed with us, shared stories of their family, and most importantly made us feel as though we were a part of their family and cared for during this difficult time. I have no hesitation in recommending Michael and Laura Goodlander and their entire staff at Otto Redanz Funeral Home. We are truly thankful for all that they have done.
