Ridley Funeral Home has been a great help during this difficult time for my family. Every member of the staff has been extremely helpful, compassionate, caring and professional. They have been very understanding and accomodating to our requests. I really appreciate the fact that I never felt pressured into buying products or sevices that I did not need/want. The After Care service is also a huge help - I felt very overwhelmed by all the legal stuff and they took care of everything. I highly recommend the services of this Funeral Home - ☆☆☆☆☆

Our charity, Home Hospice Association, was doing a training weekend for hospice workers. As a part of the education process, we discuss and thoroughly explore funeral services and available options. To compliment the training experience, we approached Ridley Funeral Home to offer a tour of the facilities to our class. Michael, was the funeral director who greeted us and spent the early part of his morning educating our participants. He was personable, sensitive and added a bit of humour to the morning. The funeral home was clean and well appointed. We are grateful to owners, managers and staff at Ridley Funeral Home for their interest In the community and for their kind hospitality. Our hope is that Ridley Funeral Home will make themselves available again, as we continue on with our training initiatives. Thank you.

I'm so glad to be having the experience to work at Ridley funeral home and planning for the future If I still want to become a funeral director. I work like to say thank you to all the staff. Not knowing how nor wanting to! I looked up a name of Ridley Funeral Home. My co-worker ask if I would help her set her affairs in order as a friend at work I knew she did not have familly here and COV-19. I said yes I would. Not knowing that she would pass days later... after saying my goodby a person on the other end of a call ask how can we help. I asked how to go about making her last ride safe and with in the means to which I had to work with. I was given a very short time to which someone came to my side offered advice and a time to which I could talk with a knowing person of the affairs of my friend. With in days I knew how and with their help made her last days with us feel we had made plans long ago. There is a feeling of giving that I felt while my feelings and direction was confused there was a person knowing and caring there for myself and others who shared with me the lost feeling of a very special person. The employees at Ridley are nothing short of amazing! Obviously, their services are needed in a time where there is an overwhelming amount of work to do, and I, like all of their clients, was also grieving, and in no place to take on all the paperwork and running around that happens when your second parent passes (transfer of estate to me and my sister). The very first meeting immediately put my mind to ease. Not only were they professional and very supportive, but they actually help with almost all of the paperwork. I honestly don't know where I would be without them. They are so patient and really go above and beyond, from the day you call until well after the funeral. I highly recommend their services to anyone.

Staff were kind and respectful. Communication was very good and all my questions were answered. I never felt pressured to do things a certain way. My wishes were accommodated without reservation. Tammy was so kind and thoughtful when I was going through the prearrangement process especially as this was all new to me. The post care was also excellent and took a lot of stress away from me. Just one wrinkle and that was the tribute wall/obituary where I was directed to Facebook in order to access….many people do not have a Facebook account so this was annoying.

During a terribly sad time, they asked my whole family if we would be interested in trying to get financial assistance for the funeral. We mentioned that we would like to look into it. Once they found out we were not eligible, they asked for all the money for the funeral services UP FRONT. The reason: We inquired into assistance. Seemed to me like a sleazy trap. Even now, years since this happened, I have a terrible taste in my mouth for Ridley Funeral home. I'm glad that Google reviews allow me to communicate this unprofessionalism and predatory behavior to the world.

I recently Buried both my mother and my father in the last seven months Both of them at two different establishments the one I buried my father in I found the lady that helped me somewhat snippy At times and when it came time to doing all the things I needed to do after, they just handed me envelopes with their certificates and told me where to send things off. Then I buried my mom seven months later at Ridley And not only did they do all that for me they even gave me a text message a couple weeks later just to check in on me that quite wowed me. So thank you very much Ridley for helping me with my mom and caring, what a difference between the two places

Unfortunately April 10th 2021 my father past away from cancer. He past peacefully at home with family. Although it was expected it was still very difficult. We entrusted Ridleys Funeral Home to help us during our trying time and I cannot express how much they surpassed our expectations. Not only were they compassionate and professional, they treated us as if we were their family. Each and every one of the staff were nothing short of exemplary. During these difficult times of COVID they ensured that our guests and ourselves were taken care of with respects of sanitation and distancing. I could not have seen us getting through this without them. Everyone was absolutely outstanding and not to single anyone out but Jason really went above and beyond for us. Thank you all at Ridley’s you all made a really difficult situation as good as one could have asked for. Please don’t take an offence when I say I hope not to see you all for a long time, but need be, you’ll see me.

My mom died suddenly of Covid and my dad and brother had both tested positive and were quarantining so the decisions were left up to me!!! Jason at Ridley was most understanding and compassionate with me during this whole dilemma! All the staff were gentle and most respective and helped me to not feel alone!! When it came time for the funeral they adhered to our requests as best they could and did a wonderful job of making my father feel understood and cared for! My family has been using Ridley since the late 80's. They make the whole process very comforting. All of their staff is very delicate and caring. From start to finish they make you feel as though they are caring for their own loved one. My best friends family has also been using Ridley for decades. We were very disappointed with Ridley. On top of a stressful time in the passing of our father, Ridley added stress and frustration in several ways: First by posting the wrong date of death on their web site. It shouldn't be up to us to check their work but that's how we discovered their error. It took 3 days to get dad's info on their web site, then when they did, we found out they had changed the visitation times from what we submitted to them, which caused unnecessary confusion to our friends and relatives. At the cemetery our instructions were not followed regarding the flowers. And in transporting the flowers carelessly they damaged the arrangement. Finally the "after care" to help us submit forms electronically was done unprofessionally and inadequately which wasted alot of our time. This company has been in business for a long time but it seemed to us in our experience they just started in business. We would never recommend them.

They went above and beyond with their service one of the employees brought my mom's best friend home with their own vehicle as she was older and she was there alone and it was very cold that day. My mom’s arrangements were done with dignity and efficiency. Combined with compassion and thoughtfulness, the process went very smoothly.
