I recently lost my son of near 43 years, suddenly and unexpectedly... and it was the first time in my life (I am closer to 70 than I am to 60 now) I had suffered close grief and devastating loss... other family members having died over a long distance and me not being informed for years after their passing... But my son, Matthew? Well, he was my "why", my purpose for 43 years and to be suddenly without him was beyond devastating. I was in shock for the first 30 days, making illogical decisions for myself while trying to navigate grief alone -- but Affordable Cremation & Burial showed me SUCH compassion, SUCH understanding, SUCH patience when I kept asking for changes to so many posts, some of which were inappropriate in the circumstances (mine AND a couple others)... Never once did anyone express frustration with me, and there was ALWAYS a bright smile of assistance and accommodation throughout. I cannot recommend this burial venue enough... and ALL are certainly not created equal. Five stars, and I would give them 10 if that were the max option. I cannot sufficiently express my gratitude, and in particular to staff "Laurel".

Affordable Cremation & Burial (Westshore) is the best cremation service from Port Renfrew to Victoria to Nanaimo (bar none). Lauren and her team provided me the more valuable info. that other local funeral services failed to give me which made the process with no pressure, easy and smooth all located in such a gorgeous and serene setting for smaller gatherings. I cannot say enough....10+ stars in my book all the way! Thank you so much Lauren to you and everyone of your wonderful staff members for taking great care of my beautiful sister-in-law Donna ... as well as us, the grieving family and friends she left behind.
