Beautiful memorial and even found my grandfather's name on it.

This place was a tribute to the former mines of the township of Elliot lake Ontario. There are the names of the mines, a list of the workers who had passed during the mining operations of the region and a marble geography map with the history of the mines and bronze statues of the miners in tribute to the township. All set on a buitifull lakefront at the base of the town on highway 108. An interesting place on Canadian history and the towns atomic legacy. As a former top uranium mining town.

Olivia Andrew

Beautiful place. Too bad Elliot Lake City don't clean it up. Not a good impression for visitors. Full of garbage and cigarette butts. No smoking signs are posted. But these are totally ignored. Put some disposal for butts!people might use them and take the ignored signs down. Use your brains here folks. A little common sense goes a long way!

Adish Jagirdar

This is a beautiful memorial and very informative. It's bittersweet to read about all the loss but also see how the town has chosen to remember all its miners. The landscape nearby is gorgeous and the town couldn't have picked a better place for the memorial.

Very impressive memorial to those people who worked and died in the now closed Uranium mines north of Elliot Lake. The fountain out in Horne Lake is dedicated to those people who died in the roof collapse of the Algo Centre Mall in 2012.
