In our darkest hour, Thompson in the Park staff provided us with a service that was extremely caring, profoundly thoughtful and extremely professional. They walked us through everything so that we didn’t have anything to think of. It was really helpful and we always be grateful for it.

My family did not feel pressured into spending more then we were comfortable with. Our funeral director was honest about cost and willing to help us find something that was within our budget. We felt so comfortable and at ease with Lorraine and the team.

The Funeral Directors, Shane and Arron worked with us and were very respectful of our needs. They demonstrated and provided a very positive atmosphere throughout our ordeal. Always a gentle reminder of Covid and health rules here and there but we were still able to grieve as a family. Thank you for your dedication. ???? ????

Had a very negative experience. Would give zero stars if I could. Consider going somewhere else for the price and service. Had my father's service carried out by them. First time we have lost someone so we were quite new to the process. Had a phone call and an in-person appointment with a representative who was initially quite helpful, we explained our situation to them, they explained the process and requirements. We knew it was quite a big amount we were paying but had a relief that our loved one would be handled well and family outside of Winnipeg would be relived to see a good sendoff. All was fine and we proceeded forward. - The service was unfortunately quite restricted due to COVID, which is as understandable. - But the rep had no control over the service, - live video was not functioning well which was as the main reason we chose them, - the death certificate came 6-7 months after they placed the order. As explained to them, we needed the death certificate as soon as possible and we were told 6months is what we would expect. It shocked us when we called in to check with Vital Statistics the status of the death certificate and they said for 120$ a rushed order could be placed and it would get delivered in a couple days. - the distasteful remarks on tradition and culture by the rep only further confirmed that the funeral home staff were akin to sales person and only cared about making the sale. The funeral home tacks on useless charges and doesn't inform you what is required and the available options unless you ask. I would have accepted it, but given the kind of service that was carried out it is unaccceptable.

Everything was so professionally done. Staff extremely helpful at this time of need. There was last minute change of funeral director and Jason contacted us to let us know in advance of the funeral which we appreciate. Thank you for all your assistance. It was very much appreciated. Ling Chan

Where do I even begin. Save your family the time, money, and frustration from dealing with Thomson. They were late to transport the body to the funeral. They forgot the easel for my sister's photo and had to return to the funeral home to get it. There are no supervisors or managers to speak with. So if your funeral director delays or doesn't know what to do, they will not put you through to no one else other than that incompetent funeral director. We were trying to send my sister's body to Australia for burial. The funeral director was so useless, our family had to make the calls and do all the legwork and prompt her on how to do her job. We were told on what day the body would be transported. This was over a week after the funeral simply because they were too lazy to send the proper forms to the consulate. We had booked our flights, got time off work, we're ready to go. Then this same funeral director says the body doesn't fly until Wednesday, delaying it again. We essentially will have to bury my sister 2 weeks after her funeral, not due to international regulations or processes on the Australian consulates end, but simply because of Thomson not doing the work until we call them and ask them to submit forms they already have. I'm only telling you true facts. I pray no family has to endure what we did. Do not go with Thomson.

We had a 2 day window to plan our father's funeral. Out of 10 possible places to call my first one was Thomson "in the park". We wanted to do a hindu funeral. The price was excellent and I liked that they had the chapel, the reception area and crematorium in one building. The property also has a lot of parking for guests. The building itself is beautiful and the staff were so attentive. In comparison to other places we chose this because of the price and it was easier logistically to do everything in one building. The staff: First: I need to mention that when I called on Wednesday evening the answering service stated that a funeral director would call me at 8:45am the next morning. Thursday morning: they called exactly at 8:45. They already professionally left a good impression in this respect. Jason met with my siblings and me and he was so wonderful and caring. He met our needs and was not pushy about sales on extras. Nonetheless, the options were explained and are if we choose. Transpency is what we were looking for in a funeral home and Thomson "in the park" demonstrates this. We felt that Jason went above and beyond when planning and meeting our needs. He is a definite asset to this company and anyone that will have him as a funeral director. He was genuine, empathetic, calming, thorough and ensured that everything was taken care of so that we can focus on our father's funeral service and grieving. He communicated with us effectively and even asked us to email our playlist of songs and an MP4 of our videos and photos that were shown on the retractable screen. This made our father's funeral more personal and touching for everyone and us. All of our guests commented positively on the Thomson staff and how the venue was beautiful and warm. Reception room: This add-on was so worth it. The 2 hostesses were very sanitary as they served tea and coffee. We had a lot of food. They displayed the food on the tables. The entire staff that were working during our father's funeral helped bring in our drinks and foods. We didn'teven ask for help. They cleaned up and we didn'thave to worry about this either. The reception hall is beautiful and quaint with a TV that projected videos of our dad with his grandkids. Post funeral: Rick was helpful in explaining what documents need to be taken care of and what phone calls should be made. My sister, brother and I recommend Thomson "in the park". This venue will be in our future plans most definitely. Thank you Jason and all of the staff for your professionalism, your attentiveness, attention to detail and for guiding and helping us organize a beautiful and memorable service for our father. - From the Dutta Family

I am feeling not respected as the cremation date is not asking for my permission but like this is a order.

We were glad we choose Thomson in the Park. We had already used their services for my father's funeral in the past. We appreciate the care and service you provided our mother. Thank you.

During a trying time for our family there were numerous delays. We were constantly informed that regulations were preventing movement yet our own research and the manager were a lot more component and found the director was very lacking in knowledge and only seemed to put effort in once we provided direction or asked for information. Not what you expect during the hardest moments you have to go through. They have a plaque stating 100% service guarantee but we were disappointed at every turn, from the exorbitant costs to the lack of support. No family needs to go through extending the pain as it was to ours.

Thomson in the Park handled our Dad's death with great professionalism and dignity. Lorraine Greig treated us very well and was a font of good information.

Absolutely terrible service livestream service. No sound for a friends funeral and they didn't even adjust the camera angle to be able to see the slideshow of her life. Even after numerous calls still no sound or adjustments. They did have time to delete comments they didn't approve of though. Terribly disappointed all who couldn't attend live and relied on the live stream.????

The service our family received from the staff here was exceptional. Their empathy and compassion was evident throughout the process and the personal attention to every detail and continued follow up made a very difficult time so much easier. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank Aaron Bowskill for his compassion during this difficult time. It has been very hard dealing with my father's passing as I am overseas and with the current covid crisis he helped handle the entire process keeping me updated at all times.

Staff were professional, caring and very helpful thru one of the hardest times we've had to face. Calls and emails were promptly answered. Overall very satisfied with the services we received.

We were overwhelmed with all of the planning involving our Mother's passing. Richard Wankling was beyond compassionate and caring in his support as well as the staff at Thomson "In the Park" with handling the transfer of our Mother with dignity and respect and making the overall experience in handling the loose ends that were required. The facility is beautiful and provided us with comfort knowing that our loved one was cared for and prepared for viewing. Thank you to Thomson " In the Park" and a special thank you to Monica who helped with the coffee and the catering afterwards. This made the transition for our family and our mother very peaceful and comforting knowing that her journey and those who cared for her during and after the transport was done with the upmost of care.
