Staff is caring and professional. They walk the family through every step of the funeral process and give useful advice. The care that is taken and the sensitivity and empathy that is displayed by all staff is greatly appreciated. This is obviously more than merely a job for them. Thanks for all of your efforts into making a difficult time more bearable.

I recommend Birchwood Funeral Chapel to any family thinking about end of life arrangements. Our recent experience with Kris and the team was excellent. The email and phone correspondence was professional and timely. In person, Kris was patient, knowledgeable and interested in helping us. He was very attentive. We were thankful the Birchwood team had helped us through the prearrangement process a couple of years ago. It meant that many of the decisions were already made and the fees were paid for at locked in prices. The facilities are very nice and the team serving the meal was friendly and the food was good. After the day of the service, we appreciated the package they prepared for us with the cards, a laminated program and other thoughtful details. Our family has found Birchwood to be worth recommending to others.

Todd made us feel as if our family was the most important family they had served - he was gracious, gentle, and so sensitive to the family's needs and concerns. It was Todd's suggestion that we as children should share a meal together the evening of the viewing since so many had not seen each other for nearly 2 years. What an evening of drawing closer as a family again after all this time apart. Todd - May God richly bless you for taking such wonderful care of our family in our moment of need.

I lost the greatest person in my life which happened to be my sweet mother Kumba Veronica Mansaray about 8 months ago. The place that was chosen to be was Birchwood Funeral Chapel. Kris and the staff at Birchwood Funeral Chapel were beyond friendly, compassionate, kind, understanding, and professional from start to finish. Kris knew exactly what my mother meant to me and he reassured me that all will be taken care of and which they were. The way he and the staff spoke to me with such gentleness and respect made it feel like I wasn’t even making funeral arrangements for my mom. The day before my mom’s burial Kris called me to see how I was doing and of course he knew I was broken, but talking with him put everything at ease and to my shock he made me laugh and for that spilt second I felt calmness that I haven't had since the passing of my mom. The day of the funeral (Even with a snowstorm) everything was perfect, especially with the beautiful white flowers that laid flawlessly on her casket. A day of heartbreak was also a day of eternal love and mom was laid to rest. Words can’t explain my gratitude, and I’m so happy that I chose Birchwood Funeral Chapel to help me say goodbye to an incredible mother, and that even in death she was treated like the queen she is and I couldn’t say thank you enough! Our family dealt with Jarrod and he was fantastic from beginning to end. We all commented how relaxed he was and very personable and helpful. Ask to deal with him if at all possible. Part of our family has dealt with Bill Deck in the past and he was great too. We also, during this time, had a small dealing with a person another reviewer mentioned and found him not at all personable...the reason we removed one star. One recommendation is to provide a list of all the things you can or do provide: photo display rack, guest book, thank you notes, etc. so the family knows ahead of time.

First of all let me say this... Jarrod is perfectly fitted for this calling... So are Brad and Kris... Our family went through a tragedy a # of years ago and Jarrod looked after us so kindly and caring... It made the whole process seem not quite so hard to take when we were dealing with him...If it was only for these guys I would give 5 Stars right now! However not everyone here is cut out for this work(maybe you can read between the lines here) and that is why I can't give 5 stars...
