One of the last remaining local funeral homes in the Niagara Region. Great people to work with, not pushy on services, and willing to work in your budget. No one wants to deal with a funeral home, but if you're looking for compassionate help and understanding at one of the most difficult times in your life, George and his team are the people to see. Highly recommended.

I found that there was rudeness as well as a lack of compassion towards guests and family in mourning than not. It doesnt matter how big or little finances had been spent everyone deserves compassion at a time of loss. Definately wont be preplanning at this home.

My family and I were so happy with making our decision to celebrate my husband’s life at George Darte Funeral Home. The staff were professional, caring and compassionate to the loss of my love one. It didn’t take long into the process to decide that this was exactly what we were looking for. The visitation, sanctuary rooms had the capability to expand to accommodate a large funeral and also a reception room without leaving the premises with catering availability. It is modern and inviting with its fireplace to welcome your guests. The after care program helped to complete forms and process them directly to the specific destinations.

Said good bye to my grandfather here 40 years ago and said goodbye to my gramma today. Considering the pandemic they did a great job. They were sensitive but straightforward, which I appreciated very much. My grandmother had all the arrangements taken care of previously so that made it easier, but they were still very clear that if we wanted anything else or if there was anything we needed from them, they were available. They also took all the right steps in Covid protocols and I felt safe there.

You better be loaded with dough before you walk in this funeral home or they will show you the door. No compassion or compromise whatsoever. When it was a small funeral home they couldn't do enough for you now that they are one of if not the biggest in town it is all about the money. I wouldn't even attend a funeral being held there now. One star is too much.
