Gattozzi and Son was very sympathetic, respectful, available, quick to respond to everything. They took care of everything for us. He let us know about expenses and did not push us to do anything we didn't want to do. The deacon from Gattozzi who spoke at the cemetery did such a good job, I almost wish he could have given the sermon at the mass as well.

I have given myself a whole week to think about a way to word this review and the reason I have given this place two stars is this. I went to a funeral here for a young friend of mine, she was very well known and a very laid back person. However her family did not have much due to loosing their father many years before. I greatly appreciate not only the acceptance that the family received when decorating the area but also of the various ages that came to pray. One female staff member that I recognized was very compassionate and flexible with how everyone used the space provided. Another staff member was an older gentleman. On three separate occasions I noticed his lack of compassion with the GUESTS! One woman went into a separate room looking for more tissues because the other boxes had run out. As soon as she walked out of that room she got harassed by this older staff member. She was apparently not authorized to enter this "conference room" to grab more tissues. The next issue was a mother who went to feed her baby in the same space. She asked the staff member if she could use this room and close the door as to not disturb the other guests. She got told no, to use the room filled with people in line to pray and talk to the family. The last issues was another mother who needed to changer her child's diaper. She walked into the restrooms and did not find a changing table so she went into this same "conference room". She also closed the door as to not disrupt people. As soon as she came out the older staff member asked who let her in that room. A gentleman paying his respects came to him and said that he allowed her to go into that room because there was no changing table in the restroom. He asked if the staff member if he had an issue. Later that night this particular staff member was complaining about how the chairs were placed in the hallway. He also complained about working and wanted to go home. I understand that it was a Sunday and it was around five o'clock. However this does not give the staff member the right to be rude and lack respect. It is his job to be there and be compassionate. I've never gone to a funeral Home with such lack of respect in staff especially the older staff members. Keep the young lady but not the older gentleman.
