McCall Garden's staff have done an excellent job at making memorial services possible with covid restrictions. They have adapted by getting the best technology that allows for families to be able to attend services online. They recorded the service and created a beautiful memorial video that was also shareable online. They have helped us by creating and mailing memorial cards to friends and family who weren't able to attend the funeral in person due to restrictions. In person, the facilities were very clean, the food was very good. I liked the 24 hour available phone service. All of the staff were caring and helpful during this time.

I recently assisted my grandmother with funeral arrangements for my grandfather. Having never done this before, I called around to several places before selecting McCall Gardens. From the very first phone call, the staff listened to what we wanted and provided us with all of the options. In the end, we decided on a memorial reception in their beautiful new hall. The atmosphere was perfect, and the caterers did an amazing job! They even matched the flowers on all of the tables to the ones that my grandmother had selected to place around my grandfathers urn. There was a memorial table, a special video tribute, and a professional pianist who played softly on a grand piano during the reception. Everything was perfect! I don't write reviews often. I have to be really impressed to do so. In this case, it is absolutely my pleasure to recommend McCall Gardens - Sequoia Centre. From our first email contact asking for preliminary information, we were treated with the utmost kindness, respect, and compassion. Truly a first class service. Dealing with Trevor McCall and his staff was amazing. They all seem to have a "can do" attitude, and all the time in the world to answer questions. There were a few things that we enquired about where the answer was: "well, we haven't done that before, but I'm sure we can make it work." And they did. Their "after care" service where they walk you through the paperwork/government forms that you have to deal with after a death is excellent and made this part of the process bearable and efficient. The venue itself was the most un-funeral home like place I have ever visited. It is bright and modern with beautiful gardens out the back. We held a celebration of life for mom and all of the details were attended to with care by Trevor and his staff, including fantastic food and beverage service, and technical support (i.e. they made us a Spotify playlist for the event with mom's favorite songs, and accommodated our request to have family members play the piano/sing). We also received a video of the event, which was a nice touch, and very much appreciated. I would recommend this family-run business without hesitation. Trevor and team: thank you so much.

We hosted a Memorial Reception for both our aunt and uncle at the Sequoia Centre and everything was perfect - the food, the atmosphere and the location. It was an informal event - they didn't want a formal service, so it was more of a celebration of life. We were able to bury the urn at the Royal Oak Cemetery next door immediately after the gathering. Dean was a great host.
