All the staff at First Memorial Funeral Services were very kind and helpful. Melissa walked us through all the paperwork and we were able to get all of it done pretty quickly as most of the arrangements had been made already. Connie, who does aftercare service, was great as well and we really enjoyed her visit with us as she was kind, compassionate and enjoyed our stories. Today, we picked up our loved one for the final resting place to be done later and again, nothing but kindness and compassion. We will be using First Memorials services in the future for all the reasons stated above.

When I called to make enquiries, I was greeted with rude service on the phone by both the receptionist and the Funeral Director. Other places were much nicer. Even if you are providing a special service, it's still Customer Service. Don't forget.

There are no words to describe the despair and sorrow how my family felt when my father passed away at home unexpectedly this Easter Monday . In the mist of total chaos, your service were recommended by one of RCMP officers . When I dialled your number, I did not anticipated what service I will receive. It was the funeral director , Tracy Bevan, who kindly helped me to set up the appointment and guided me through what I should do next. When my mother and I arrived the funeral home, Tracy was there to greet us and prudently address our concerns when walking us through wide range of services we might have to pay final respect of my father. Her professional and caring attitude made the whole process less heavy for us. Both Tracy & Angel helped us with their insightful knowledge and professionalism , we felt quite satisfied. The service was exceptional and Michael was very thorough with the steps being taken on our mother’s funeral day. He showed his caring by using white gloves for the pall bearers and then at the cemetery, putting the gloves and boutonnières on the handles of the casket as they lowered the casket into the grave....a beautiful touch! It is evident that all the staff truly care about you and ensure that all your loved one's wishes can be fulfilled in such a difficult time. Doug was professional and prompt with answering all my questions and concerns. I was able to plan my grandmother's entire funeral via telephone or email and did not have to physically be present especially during COVID. Overall, my entire family was very impressed in how the vision we had in mind translated to the reality that was prepared for my grandmother's funeral. The staff at this funeral home provided everyone attending the funeral with support and we were pleased with the amount of dignity my grandmother received during the entire time. I was impressed with the service from prepayment plans, through the preparations and then service and reception. Everything was great other than overflow, no parking available. The only glitch was the opening song on CD did not play as needed but worked later, technical help needed. Everyone has given us great feed back for the Service and Richard did a great job with DVD and Videography of the Celebration of Ian's Life. A BIG Thank You!!

Suzanne Picton, our advisor at Victory Memorial, was really helpful during the entire process. We got off to a shaky start with the pilot version but the problems weren't Suzanne's. The new software has limitations/bugs which need to be addressed. We reverted to the paper version, and it went much smoother. We left confident that we had been a participant in the process rather than just an observer. Suzanne offered us a 10% discount to compensate for our time and inconvenience. Very professional touch.
