Had to attend my uncles funeral last week and it was a devastating experience. We were pretty much pushed and kicked out the door asap. The staff informed us that was clearly a miss communication when they were planning the arrangements with my grieving cousin... it's his fault the didnt request a space and "you get what u pay for". This was extremely insensitive and disheartening considering my cousin wasnt given the proper time or guidance to make the correct funeral arrangements. He was forced to decide what he wanted in less then 12 hours after losing his father unexpectedly. This was overall a terrible experience on top of having to grieve the loss of our beloved loved one. Not to mention, they told us they dont have a freezer to hold the bodies... they just turn up the AC and leave the body in the open on the table.. I think this says enough about this venue. Certainly not a place you want to grieve/celebrate the life of the people you care about.. please take my word. #justiceforteddy

I want to thank Jones Funeral Home. The way you helped my mother in this dire time will always be remembered by me. Amy and Jason were kind and caring and helped my mother with everything. My father just recently passed and they have made this transition very comfortable and easy. I cant thank you enough. I will make sure to recommend them in the future. Once again thank you Michael

My uncle just passed away, and we were told there would be a viewing on Friday. When we got there, my uncle was transported to be cremated without letting us know. We were told “you get what you pay for”. I never got a chance to say goodbye to my uncle, and the staff were not sympathetic at all. Would never ever recommend this place to anyone. I will never forget this day...... ???? #justiceforTeddy

Thank you J.S. Jones staff especially Terri-Lynn Walker. Your compassion and caring makes it so much easier for families at this very sad and upsetting time in our lives. You were always there for me ready and willing to help. Even though we don’t know each other personally When we would meet out in the community you would always ask how my mother was doing. I have Dealt with Jones many times and have never been disappointed with the service we have received.

I have lived in the area for over 15 years and have heard of several issues with this funeral home from insensitivity to incompetence and most notably and of recent a friends mother passed away and the family selected the folks at Jones to take care of handling their wishes with respect to their mother, one of those was to record her fingerprint as a momento. This a service offered by Jones and selected by the family and yet was forgotten before cremation. Attention to detail and respect are the hallmarks yet you hear the opposite from this place

First of all... don’t be fooled by the 1 star I gave them.. that was only given because there was no option for no stars. Secondly this was my first time attending this funeral home for my uncle who passed from a heart attack.. not to mention I hadn’t seen my uncle for over a year.. I drove all the way from Niagara Falls to attend his viewing here at Jones and sons funeral home, only to be told that the body wasn’t there and was told I had to leave because they had to set up for other services. None of the staff was sympathetic at all.. everyone had a major attitude problem.. me and my family weren’t even given a room or a small space within the building to gather and grieve over the loss of our family member. Worst of all.. one of the employees there made a comment to my aunt saying “well you get what you pay for” unbelievable. This place disgusted me, nothing but attitude and pure distespect. I do not recommend this place to anyone at all.. PS: THE COFFEE AND SNACKS ARE TRASH!! #JUSTICEFORTEDDY

This is my honest review of my experience with Robert P Blackburn, Funeral Director. My complaint will be sent to the BAO through the complaint process. Consumer Beware!!! Mr Robert P Blackburn, Funeral Director at Jones Funeral Home Georgetown, made promises to me he immediately broke. He made guarantees to me that he did not honor, he told me he was there to help me but purposefully hindered me. At a time when I should have been able to trust a professional who is in the role of Funeral Director, Mr Robert P Blackburn, made this experience harder, lengthier and more frustrating than anything I have ever encountered. He was NOT there to help me. I trusted him and found out that there are no consequences for his incompetence. He can turn the death of your loved one into a nightmare and walk away laughing, because he can.

my mom recently passed away and jones was supposed to saver her finger print as a keepsake for us but they forgot and cremated her anyway never trust Jones Funeral home they dont care about your loved ones they just want your buisness, please go somewhere else unless you want to go through losing your loved one more than once
