Corey and the entire staff went above and beyond to provide all my father's funeral arrangement needs. This is the first time we lost a close family member and my mom, my brother and I were very anxious as to how it would all go. This funeral home could not have made things any easier for us. From preparing my dad's body (he looked so good), recommending a great florist (Flower Workshop, Bolton - these guys are artist!), providing beautiful facilities, understanding and follwing Italian funeral traditions, directing the funeral and burial, and accommodating all our requests. All at a very reasonable price. We will be forever greatful to the Egan family for helping us to say farewell to my father in such a grand way!

Elaine and her sister were nice enough but... My mother was so poorly prepared for viewing it was shocking how bad she looked. Furthermore they did not call me to tell me my mother's ashes were ready to pick. Almost 3 weeks had passed so, i contacted them only to find out they had received her ashes back for over 2 weeks. D. I can not express how horrific it was to witness how a mother was treated at her sons funeral. Not a single person deserves that kind of treatment. You would think in this line of work that respect would at least be given to the ones grieving, but no. Absolutely disgusting. Cory, I really hope you are considering a change in profession, and if not at least stop using the phrase "I live in the real world" because you clearly do not. Warning to anyone considering this business - all they see is $$$, not the people actually mourning the loss of their loved one. But on the other hand, if you are looking for someone to bribe and do your dirty work Cory is your man for the right price, of course. That much was obvious. If I was given the option to give no stars I would.

Egan Funeral Home gets 5 stars from us, and they've earned every single one. From the time we consulted Egan while my mother was still at Vera Davis Center, her health failing progressively, to the time we laid our mother to rest, we were well taken care of. Our funeral director was Mr. Corey Jordan. Corey's attention to detail, vast knowledge of legal matters, impeccable taste, and uncanny ability to read his clients' emotions is nothing short of masterful. Corey assisted us in making informed and sensible decisions, that met our wishes for a tasteful and elegant service for my mother. He truly listened to what we had to say, and even heard us at times when nothing was said at all. Whatever our mood or state of mind may have been on any given day walking into Egan as we went through the process of making arrangements, we always walked out feeling light and assured that everything would be alright, and go as planned. We always left feeling comforted. Our mother's memorial reception was elegant, tasteful, and exactly what she would have wanted. I would also like to thank Elaine Egan. Elaine assisted us in selecting our mother's final resting place at Laurel Hill. Like Corey, Elaine is generously warm and genuine, and has her own intuitive talents in reading her clients. As a result, with her help, we were able to select the perfect spot for my mother's urn. Our experience is that Egan is a well run, well coordinated, professionally executed and truly ethical business. As a family run home, they put the emphasis on family. My family will never use Egan again or recommend to others. It may be the only funeral home in Bolton but it is worth driving to a neighbouring community. My loved one' s funeral was poorly organized. At transition times our guests stood around confused never being told what was going to happen next. There was a change in the program and no one bothered to inform us leaving us to figure it out. But in the wrong ways it was very well organized. We were harshly (and at one point even sarcastically) scolded and reprimanded by the staff traffic patrol) and this was completely unwarranted. Even worse, certain key, immediate family members felt pushed around with stern gestures receiving cold treatment from a funeral director who seemed to lack much compassion for them. The end result was that that things did not happen in the way we know our loved one would have liked. The minute the scheduled visitation was over multiple staff appeared and our guests, while saying goodbye and getting ready to leave, felt that they were getting the 'stink eye'. In fact I was greeted when I came in and hung up my coat, with a plaque right on the hanger advertising to "inquire about packages and pricing". Yet at least one car in the fleet was, I am guessing, more than 25 years old? My loved one deserved so much better. A sad day made even sadder, with no second chance at changing our memories of our last goodbyes..
