My family and I used Chapel Ridge for my fathers viewing/service and cremation. Neil took my original call and he was really pleasant but it was Matt who helped us through the entire process. He was nothing short of amazing. He was sincere, kind, organized and extremely helpful. I probably sent him three dozen or so emails in just a short amount of time and he always responded promptly. When we called Christine early in the morning on July 18th, she explained everything very nicely and was ready to accommodate all our requirements. Christine texted me to send all the details of the expired person’s information to have it prepared for our discussion. She was very flexible and met with our family around 1:00 PM on July 18th to display the caskets and allowed family members to make their decision privately. Despite the Covid-19 situation, we didn’t have to worry too much about the funeral service plans. Christine is very efficient, supportive and available anytime to find our last minute items. No hesitation from her and she was ready to help family members during this loss. They received all the flowers, kept the log, and gave it to us with the guest book. All our friends and family members mentioned that the funeral visitation & service was very elegant. We are very grateful that she organized the spiritual ceremony and performed it according to our wishes. Everything was on time. I truly admire Christine and their entire team for their full support in leading the celebration of life and to say the final good bye to our beloved ones. Very friendly atmosphere & caring nature. It feels weird to write a review for a funeral home. Going to a funeral is one of the worst things in one's life. What I will say is that the staff are empathetic towards all those who pass through their doors. There are also tissue boxes spread throughout so you'll always be within close reach of one. If you're not able to find a parking spot out front there are more in the rear of the building.

Sadly, I've been here too many times to count. Coming here brings a mixture of emotions. There's a sadness because it usually means that someone I know has passed. There is also some joy, remembering good times and seeing friends and family members of the deceased. Sometimes, because of our busy lives, it's the only way we meet these days. One thing that's consistent is the professionalism of the staff. They are always friendly and courteous, greeting and directing guests, and most importantly treating grieving families with respect and compassion. I recently attended a visitation and funeral under COVID conditions. Attendance was much lower than usual but both events were live streamed to viewers who were not able to attend. Chapel Ridge, it's unbelievable how your staff was able to side-pocket money under the table, asking for customers to pay for additional services that are already included as part of your funeral service. My family has been paying for annual storage of ashes while this fee was already included and paid for during our funeral service. This staff member and likely others have already been doing this for many years. This staff member also removed our family ashes without consent to store it in her residence. We are so disgusted by the criminal acts of your staff members have taken advantage of families who are grieving. Your services are not cheap and to have grieving families pay additional fees that are side-pocketed is extremely unethical and criminal.

TO say I loved and highly recommend this funeral home is a very weird thing to say... therefore if you're unfortunate enough to need their services, you would want no one else helping you with the details so you can grieve properly.

My mother passed away last month. This has easily been the hardest thing I've ever had to endure. My husband was responsible for the funeral arrangements. We couldn't have asked for a better funeral director. Veloshan explained the process very thoroughly with my husband and took away a lot of the stress. He simplified the process, explained the cultural traditions that accompany a hindu funeral as well as their significance. We felt that the pricing was reasonable and he never pushed us to pay right away. My husband must have called him at least 30-40 times at all hours of the day during the funeral arrangements and he only missed 1 call throughout it all. I'm happy to be done with Chapel Ridge, but take solace in the fact that should we ever require their services, I take comfort knowing we're in good hands.

We had a service in Sept 2020 with Chapel Ridge. Mr.David Zou is very professional, although under pandemic, their professional attitude and services comfort us very much! The progress was very smooth and we are fully trust with their service, we don't have to worry anything. There are one bonus service which is very benefit to us, it is their "LIVE STREAM" service. It helps for those who cannot attend the funeral because the limitation of the seats (Only 30% capacity by Ontario Government guideline) , also it is good for the overseas relative and friends to join it online too. He was compassionate yet professional and went over and beyond in meeting our expectations. He took care of all the arrangements and services that required a lot of attention to detail. He truly went out of his way to coordinate documentation, live virtual stream and overall coordination with everything that was involved. Matthew has great customer service and was consistently able to promptly communicate with us and take care of all our necessary needs and requests in a timely fashion. We decided to use Chapel Ridge and a better decision could not have been made. Sagen P. and Sarah did such a great job with everything. Sarah went out of her way to put together a condolence board with Ian's photo on it, she printed all of the condolences made in memory of Ian and she created photo collages celebrating his life. I don't normally write review on funeral home but this is happening way too often that this must be raised. They have a tendency to loose flower arrangements for the deceased. Instead of working with people to resolve the issue they are very quickly to put the blame on others, meanwhile it's them that misplaced them or even lose them. We had an issue with a Sarah at the location, we spoke to her about the flowers the day before and she acknowledged it. We told her where the flowers were left off. Then come the day of the service, they discover the flowers were missing, when she was questioned she said she didn't acknowledged anything and never spoke to anyone. Sarah, you should be ashamed of yourself for lying about the whole situation.

Our experience with this establishment was nothing but a nightmare. My grandmother passed away and we reached out to Chapel Ridge due to it's high ratings on Google. We met up with a Director to get a quotation for service. I want to emphasize that at this meeting- we did NOT sign or consent to anything. This meeting was purely for quotation purposes. As unbelievable as this may sound; after the meeting where they had learned our names and which hospital my grandmother was at. The Director/Chapel Ridge forged my relative's signature to the hospital and had them release the body to Chapel Ridge. This highly unethical establishment will use any tactic to force you to do business with them. Using my grandmother's body as leverage & forging signatures to the hospitals is not only morally wrong but illegal. They put my already grieving family through so much additional stress during an already difficult time. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere. Please think twice before you contact them or give them any of your information. Avoid this place at all costs- they have no respect, morals or ethics when it comes to those who passed.

Excellent staff and premises, well organized and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, in particular the Pastor, who oversaw the funeral. We have one complaint however, we booked a Tamil Hindu funeral, which was no problem for them to arrange, but they outsource the Iyer (Kurukkal) and therefore they do not have much control over him. Unfortunately there was a previous funeral before ours and he dashed from the other funeral to ours, not bothering to change his stained veshti and seemed to be in a hurry and we felt this was extremely disrespectful to our family. Also the chanter was incorrectly dressed in jeans, this caused us distress. We mentioned this to the funeral director but were told they cannot do very much as they are bought from outside. We feel this needs to be addressed, so another family does not suffer as we have, by this lack of dignity, not befitting such an occasion.

Chapel Ridge deserves every star on this review because they were able to help me out with all the documentation needed to start the process. In addition, I want to especially thank Sienna and Matthew who are both funeral directors at Chapel Ridge, they were critical to my being able to manage all the logistics of making all the arrangements that needed to be made. I was primarily dealing with Sienna who was extremely kind, courteous, and possessed expert level knowledge of all things funerals. She responded to all my emails and phone calls in a timely manner, better than expected. Sienna also helped me with contact tracing, floral deliveries, internal floral arrangements, the arrangements requested to be applied to the deceased and many other details. Nice funeral home and service. Low rating because we spent $200+ on flowers being delivered for a service at 6 Pm but they were sitting in a room and not with our loved one. Our relatives at the funeral noticed our flowers were missing and had to find them with the staff for it to be placed with the deceased. If you have flowers delivered for a service make sure you call them and let them know, no matter how obvious it may seem.

She was caught saying something along the lines of "these people think they can do whatever they want, and think i need to be sympathetic". All the male staff were amazing and very professional. The passing of my father was as for most, traumatic. Soon after passing away, hours later I spoke with a soft spoken individual know as Matthew at Chapel Ridge. He listened and helped me to arrange pick up of my father and on the next day we met and discussed the plan. It all felt natural and I was not stressed. I found him to be reassuring. The viewing , the Funeral at my church with the priest I requested and the entombment all went better than I imagined with a drive by my parents home on way for entombment , with a drop off of extra flowers to the home. Mathew was my director and made sure everything was planned out . I have nothing but praise for this young man who is professional and has empathy for others in pain.

We have just returned from the funeral service for my father at Chapel Ridge. Top notch service, top notch atmosphere. From the first meeting - when we prearranged the funeral - to the meeting just before the funeral to the actual events, all staff were super-professional, attentive, accommodating and friendly. The room was pleasant and tasteful and clean. The washrooms super-clean. The whole ambience very appropriate. Matthew exceeded our expectations with excellent ideas and initiatives such as a sand-box with candles (as customary in our religion), offering both English and Romanian language certificates and playing Ciprian Porumbescu's Balada on the minispeaker. He was assisted by the very friendly and helpful Alouette and by the wonderful snack room attendants.
