Do not buy your casket, urns or monuments from this business. They are prepared to take your money but are missing when the product breaks, is defective or not meeting customer expectations. With a manager who hides behind his part time employees, you are better off anywhere else. Save yourself added grief and find another place.

Do NOT order from this company. At best, they have worst customer service I have EVER received, at worst they are outright scammers! I ordered a mini keepsake urn from the website. It said free shipping when I placed my order. I then received a voicemail message saying I needed to call them back because they required an additional 20 dollars for shipping. I returned their call and informed them that their website indicated that they offered "free shipping" in Ontario and processed my order as such. Furthermore I had already received an order confirmation email and an additional email saying that my order had shipped. The guy on the phone then told me that the website needed to be updated and required me to pay additional funds over the advertised price. Confused and upset by this seemingly blatant bait and switch, I asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn't in and would contact me in the morning. I never received a phone call back. After several days (longer than a week possibly two weeks) I called back and told them a manager never contacted me. The same guy answered the phone and proceeded to condescendingly tell me that I still would need to pay more than the advertised price for shipping. I told him I still wished to speak to a manager. He said he would go get one. He came back to the phone less than a minute later to tell me the manager was too busy to address my concerns and that regardless, I would have to pay the 20 extra dollars for shipping if I wanted to receive my order. Flustered and already upset and grieving the loss of my MOTHER and just wanting this experience over I said fine put my order through. I then received an email saying my order had been cancelled. Considering the sensitive nature of ordering an urn for a loved one that has passed you'd think they would at least venture an attempt at competent customer service but this is NOT the case at all. For a company who's slogan is "Respect, Value, Simplicity" they sorely lack respect, I do not feel valued, and this process has been anything but simple. Currently reaching out to the Better Business Bureau for their misleading website, sales tactics and abysmal customer service. DO NOT BE TRICKED BY CASKET OUTLET.

We used Casket Outlet to order flowers for my parents funeral-flowers. It was a large order of 40 flowers consisting standing sprays, large hearts and 2 large casket sprays. Judy was wonderful to work with. Because our order consists of traditional Chinese writing on flower ribbons. Judy patiently & respectfully sat down with us to go over each flower order over 3 visits that we needed. To my surprise, Judy contacted me to view the flower arrangements in progress to ensure that I am happy with the orders. The flowers were beautiful. The service we received was professional and seamless. Just over a week later I contacted Judy to order 2 silk flower hearts and Judy responded within reasonable time and my order was available for pickup as promised.

I am absolutely disgusted with this company. Very poor customer service. I've waited 2 weeks to know if my picture I gave them was ok for them to use for etching. Apparently they had to send it to the company that does the etching for their approval, but I don't believe it should take 2 weeks to hear if the picture is good enough to use or not. I've emailed, called and even gone into their shop to see what's happening and all I hear is "I don't know you'll have to talk to the manager" or "no, we haven't heard back yet" No one's ever called or emailed me back. This is making the grieving process much more difficult then it needs to be as I just wanted my dad to have a beautiful stone so his grave can be complete. In the meantime I've found a wonderful company "Monument Direct" who was able to design a stone, create an image of my dad using 5 different pictures through photo shop and modifying it and the completion time is less then waiting to see if a picture is ok to use for etching. I hope I'll never have to go through this ever again and if I do, I'll never use or recommend Casket Outlet

6 WEEKS to find THEY DID NOT EVEN ORDER THE STONE - and didn't even call to let me know! I tried to order a stone for my mothers grave, from David (the owner). I went into the warehouse 3 times, emailed and called over 6 weeks. We delayed my mothers burial, waiting for this stone. First the "Quote" from David was scribbled on scrap paper. Second, the price increased when I went in to order it (trip 2). Third, the price increased again by "a few hundred dollars more" for a smaller size and Fourth, the payment terms changed completely from 1/2 due at design approval + 1/2 prior to delivery, to 1/2 now + 1/2 before design! Having my design in hand ( 6 weeks ago), having shared pictures, by-laws from the cemetery, David (the owner) said he would contact me with the new price for the smaller stone which would be a bit more money than originally quoted. I agreed, desperate to save some money because my mom had no insurance. Weeks passed and I heard nothing from him. I finally called for a delivery date and David said....I remember you. You can't pay $3000, can you? We put off burying my mother, WAITING on David to complete this order, and he didn't even place the order. And he didn't even call to tell me!!!!! When I questioned why he didn't have the decency to call me back, he kept repeating, I don't have $3000. I am reporting this business to the BBB - Better Business Bureau. To treat people in mourning with utter disregard because they don't have $3000 is just appalling! To delay a funeral because you don't have the decency to call someone and say, I was wrong in the price, or I can't get that for this price I quoted is just SICK! I would NEVER EVER recommend this business to anyone!

Hi Dave - you are making way too much money. Your take it or leave it attitude for the casket we ordered with streaks on the veneer manufactured by your family in Mexico is unfortunate. Funeral is in one day so our only option was something more expensive. This is not your problem I guess but you knew there were issues with the entire shipment. You should let people know and we would have had other options.Winter storm coming in so we are concerned with having no casket for Friday. We are a repeat customer from way back. I wanted to share my very positive experience with Casket Outlet. We found the prices substantially less than what the funeral home wanted to charge for a comparable casket. We also got our headstone from them, which was also much less than the funeral home. During our very difficult time, they were great. The delivery of the casket was done with care and they made sure that we were comfortable with everything at the funeral home. The stone took long for us to design as this was a painful task. They were great and didn't rush us, and had no issues with all the revisions we had. They really are compassionate. Had ordered an urn for my father who recently past. Twice they sent scratched urns. The second time, the ashes were already prepared, so when we received the second damaged urn I had to vigorously look for and prepare another one as to compensate for their failing to supply a proper urn. Not only did I not receive apologies, there were accusations and a huge lack of sympathy and acknowledgement on their part. And this to a mourning family. And when you call customer service they don't even answer by stating their name. An absolute disaster of a company who should not be in a business of dealing with mourning families. Please consider anybody else when arranging for your loved one's funeral.

We also purchased the floral arrangements from them and they were way beyond ANY of our expectations!! Even the flowers were a very reasonable cost!!---saved quite a bit there too...about $1000.Any funeral home will take a casket that has been "pre-purchased"... I have already been letting everyone know to come and deal with these people as they are truly amazing!! It doesn't hurt to check them out first before hand!! I truly cannot believe how little respect they have for people. The day of the arrangements they were not on time and had no idea how long the casket would take. The owner was unable to even track it down and had no idea what was going on. You pay for their service to deal with the funeral home and they were unable to do that. This caused the day to be extremely stressful. I’m very upset with the service.

I recently ordered an urn and plaque from this site. I needed to make sure the urn would be ready and delivered by Monday (called on a Tuesday the week prior) the person I spoke with said that shouldn't be a problem and we will get the urn by Monday. It didn't show up until Thursday the day before the funeral. My other issue was the quality of the plaque. On the website it looks like it is metal and it says material: Hard (whatever that means) it showed up and turns out it is plastic. It was 35 dollars and looks cheap. The last problem I had was they spelt my dad's name wrong. Which is confusing because in the email confirming how the plaque will look it showed the correct spelling. So they clearly don't care to do quality control. I emailed them last week about the plaque and have only received 1 email back saying " sorry about that. Well get back to you" No response outside that.. My review is this company has poor customer service, product quality is poor and they are unreliable.

Avoid at all costs! Not only we waited for the stone over 1 year and 2 months (!!!). We were denied an opportunity to see it prior to installation and when it was finally installed the stone turned out close to 1 foot shorter than what we ordered. The stone is sub -standard, poor workmanship and since it is so much smaller at the end we ended up paying much more than what we would have in any professional place for a much better product.

I have become so frustrated with the horrible service Casket Outlet gave us. During our initial meeting, we designed the stone & the representative told us that the installation fee is an additional $400, which we paid. Months went by & I heard nothing about the stone. I would call almost everyday to get updates & it took them forever to make the stone. Finally the stone was made & I went in to pay the balance. I told them how a religious holiday is coming up & we would love for the stone to be installed by then since we can never find her & it is frustrating not being able to pay respects to my grandmother since its hard to locate her burial spot. This was a two weeks notice. A different representative was at the store, and he said that he will be personally delivering the stone the next day. He didn't deliver it the next day, he delivered it the next week!!! After it was delivered, it came to our attention that the stone was the wrong colour, and the muslim garden has strict rules, so we could not keep this random colour & must send it in for repairs. I was furious since we had been waiting for so long to finally receive & get the stone delivered & they could not even follow basic instructions in their line of work. So the stone went back for repairs & it took them approximately two more months to fix the colour. Again...calling almost everyday for updates & i kept getting brushed off... "oh he's not in today, he will call you tomorrow"...which he would never do...until finally i went in to the store again to remind them we urgently want this stone installed... the delivery man told me he will be personally delivering it tomorrow between 11-1130 am and if i want it installed as soon as possible, I should meet him at the cemetery at that time, so I can bring it to the cemetery's attention in that moment. I went to the cemetery the next day at 1030 am. I was waiting for an hour and a half and the stone was never delivered that day. The delivery man was not picking up my calls or responding to my texts. Days later I find out that the fixed stone is finally delivered, only to hear another disappointment that the cemetery requries $315 for installation. WHAT!? It was my understanding that we paid an installation fee of $400 to the casket outlet & the cemetery is saying that they would never take installation payments from a third party....made sense. When I checked the receipt from the casket outlet, it doesn't even say there any installation payment. When I try to address it to them, they blocked my calls & stopped responding to my emails. I am guessing they hide that $400 in totals for other add ons we got for the stone. So clearly we got over charged & used in a time or grief, along with all the headaches, worry, constant run around & miscommunication.... I will never recommend the casket outlet in the future to anyone. I was extremely dissatisfied with their service & shocked that in a time of sadness they are trying to scam people for money & cannot even keep their orders straight. If you don't want to deal with the hassle, on top of the sadness of loosing a loved one, do not support this waste business.

Casket Outlet staff were all so kind, courteous and very helpful with making arrangements regarding my late cousin’s urn. Judy took our inquiries and emailed me the proof prior to engraving and informed us about various options for the plaque as well as different urns to choose from. She also helped us decide which option was best, and did not try to up-sell things we did not need, but added on a couple of things we wanted at a very good price. My brother brought us here after my dad passed away, The product is great and the prices where good but there is a cheaper company located in Vaughan and we only found this out after the fact, When I notified David he wasn't even willing to do anything to adjust the price a little bit, told me a deposit is left nothing can be done (every one adjusts prices now a days or matches prices not to loose a customer) It was really hard dealing with this company from the start, when something had to be fixed or changed during the layout process because even with changes provided on the emails sent to them they would still get it wrong or they would miss something. Going back and forth the overall time to complete took the monument almost 8 months to be finished. The signed documents for the cemetery never got sent the first time, having to resend the paperwork a second time. They never told me that they where printing out the picture to place on the monument and placing it on the themselves, after the monument was installed at the cemetery I called David to find out the size so I can print the picture and that's when he told me they are doing it, so had they mentioned this at the start or during the layout process, the picture would have been delivered with the monument (Which makes total sense) now we have to wait again for layout on a simple picture and for them to place it there (it's been 4 days for a simple picture approval) I Understand that everyone has to make a living but not at the expense of a mourning family. So people do some research before coming here because located in Vaughan is a much cheaper company and I myself do regret not shopping around.

Avoid this shop at all cost!!! Most caskets on their website are sham products to generate leads. Once you contact them, they try to sell you something else for more. Their showroom is much smaller than they advertised with only a few caskets. Their service is extremely unprofessional and substandard. You should not deal with them at your most difficult time. There are many other shops out there that offer you far better prices and services.

WORST SERVICE EVER. DO NOT RECOMMEND. These guys are unprofessional and have the worst customer service. They have no remorse for people and just want to take your money. They are not friendly and they do not care to help or make this difficult time in your life any easier for you. We PREPAID AND BROUGHT a casket over a year ago. And then of course when time of need the casket is damaged and unusable. We asked to speak to management multiple times and got the run around all day and was told he was not in the office. What kind of management does not help their business succeed? What kind of management does not put their customers first? This place was horrible to my family and i would not recommend this place to anyone. It was a horrible experience. We were so unhappy we went with another place and did not deal with these guys. They do not deserve your business as they do not even know how to run one professionally. Please think twice before you want to get a casket/flowers from this place. From personal experience, it is not worth the trouble and headache to have business with these individuals.

I am 2 hours north of Toronto and was able to communicate successfully by email and have products delivered. My monument was a custom order and it was not only reasonably priced, but the quality of the final product was exceptional. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT STRESS DURING A TIME OF MOURNING. Not dependable and horrible, unsympathetic, and heartless service. Like the reviews below I had also prepaid for a casket and was told that they didn’t have it in stock. What is the purpose of a prepaid casket if you don’t have it in a time of need????? What’s worse is nobody would speak to me and they want me to pay a higher amount for the caskets that they had rather than offering a COMPENSATION for THEIR NEGLIGENCE. During an already stressful and devastating time I was running around looking for a casket for my beloved while organizing a funeral. Nobody should ever go through that. Heartbreaking and they should not be in business.

It’s much better than I saw the one at the funeral home and very reasonable price. I also ordered my mounment this summer. It’s done in perfect. I love it. Thank you everyone who work there. When my Mother passed away in 2013, a friend found Casket Outlet online. They had beautiful & very affordable caskets and Urns. The casket Northern Cherry was exquisite- beautiful detailing and FAR less expensive than the very least the funeral homes offered at over 4x the $. I was treated exquisitely no detail too small to consider. David was professional, courteous, kind, and more. Upon delivery there was a small scratch. No questions asked, it was replaced immediately.
