As a 26 year old single mother/university student, I never imagined that I would have to make funeral arrangements for my younger sister. I have never had to make such arrangements before so I literally had no idea what I was doing. Our funeral director was Dale and I would have to say.... I could not have asked for anyone better because he made sure my sister was well taken care of, he helped me in every way that he could to make sure everything went smoothly, I also had so many questions throughout the process and he had no issues with my countless phone calls. I requested to come in and do my sisters makeup... to ensure that my sister looked her best on the day of the service and they were okay with me coming in and had another funeral director come in and help me... she was also so amazing. I was indecisive about many things and changed my mind frequently, an example was when I stated I was going to find a reverend on my own.... I tried and I ended up calling Dale last minute and even though he was on vacation he quickly got us a reverend for the day of the service - the reverend was good. On the day of the service.. I was worried that the service was not going to be that great because I had a limited budget but it was so nice and beautiful... better than I could have expected. Carter was the one who took care of us that day and I would have to say that she made the experience exceptional. The reason why I'm writing this review is that I know when my sister passed away I had no idea what I was doing or where to go for my sister and if you are reading this and in the same position I was in... I would really recommend Leydens. The staff are all really lovely, the place is nice and I just really felt like my sister was treated with respect and dignity.
