We never felt pressured into making any decisions we deemed unessary. In fact after the initial meeting I requested several other items which were porvided with little or no effort on my behalf. My father recently passed away my dads cremation was handled by his ex wife so my siblings and myself didn’t know what to expect. My brother and I went to the funeral home hoping to see my dad before cremation... he was still in the morgue in the facility ...no parlour viewing and no body preparation. Which was fine as there was no funeral. Upon arriving we spoke to Pat who I may add has no sense of compassion and we were told if we wanted to see my dad there was a 268 dollar fee plus GST. We asked to see him and for some compassion as we did not get a chance to say goodbye... again for a few minutes to see him we had to pay. I do understand this is a business but the way we were treated is cold. My brother was told in order to cremate my dad he had to sign the paperwork.... keep in mind the cremation was paid in full. I will admit my brother was upset and didn’t entirely read the paperwork. I asked who ID my fathers body and Pat said we have a picture to ID him... I asked to see it and he said it was a driver’s license... I asked to see it and he had no answer as to where it was..... we left in shock and called the manager who was so rude ..... we told her my brother .. after reading the paperwork signed the area stating he ID the body ... in fact my dad still has not been personally identified... but again Pat said if it wasnt signed he wouldn’t be cremated....The manager said if we paid 268 they would waive the100 dollar fee to dress my dad to be cremated otherwise he would be cremated in his Hosp gown.... we were not even told of this 100 dollar charge ....we asked the manager where my dads jewelry was and we were told none of our god damn business they would deal with the wife....not only have we still not identified our dad ...and they took clothes to cremate him in ... as we didn’t pay 100 or 268 he won’t be dressed .... I’m shocked at the unprofessional attitude of this home and would never recommend them ... no compassion what so ever ....all about the money... absolutely disgusting

What a great experience during a horrific time. My 12 year old granddaughter passed away after battling cancer for 935 days and Hainstock made our experience about as least painless as it could be. Right from, Ashley, the gentleman who picked up her body to the wake to the service. They were there for us every step of the way. I met with Josh today and he listened carefully to what I had in mind, and then gave me some options. I wanted a fairly simple funeral, and he respected my wishes. At no time did I feel any pressure to upgrade or choose something more elaborate and expensive. It gives me great peace of mind to know that I have taken care of most of the details for my own funeral, and will be able to spare my children the difficult task of having to make a number of sudden decisions after my death. I will be recommending Hainstock's and pre-planning to anyone who asks.

A funeral is something that is never an easy thing to deal with, but the staff helped us during our mom's passing in a way that we had a beautiful wake and funeral for mom. It was so comforting how they helped us in every way and sensitive to our feelings in the way they treated us and all the people who came to be with us. They were all very professional, and kind from the time we met with them until the time we laid my mom to rest, and when we got dropped back at the Church after the interment of my mom.
