I wanted the day to be perfect, and it was, so I had questions almost daily for Jamie and Andrew. They were very prompt with responses, caring and professional. When a company has been around for more than 100 years they must be doing something right. When my moms underground condo parkade was under construction a year ago Connelly graciously offered their parking lot for any residents who needed parking. This was not for a few days, it was for several months. When I mentioned to my mom how nice it was of them to do that her response was that it was not surprising, that the family that started it always cared about their community and often did things to help out when needed. Fast forward one year and after living an amazing life my mom passed away at the age of 92. Since my mom had such high respect for Connelly McKinley I called them first. Calling there 24 hour number I ended up speaking to a lady who was super nice, took my information and told me someone would call back in a couple of hours, that’s exactly what happened, I booked an appointment to see Pamela the following day. Pamela was excellent, went through everything detail and thought of things that I suppose are typically forgotten by family during such an emotional time. My mom had prepurchased her cemetery plot from the city but we still had to go to the dreaded casket room, probably the one thing I just did not want to do and after hearing stories about funeral homes up selling caskets I was on guard the minute we walked in. Well that’s not the way this company works, the room is bright and airy, all of the prices are very clearly shown and when I saw one that I felt suited my mom, Pamela simply lifted off the model number card, said ok and we were done. Absolutely no up selling at all. The paperwork took a little longer to prepare than I would have hoped for but everything was done correctly and by the time we left the funeral home we felt that everything was taken care of and we did not have to worry. Due to COVID we did not have the kind of service my mom would have wanted. Just a few of us and the reverend at the burial plot. Pamela made this smooth for us as well, from waving to us when we got out of our cars so where we would know where the plot is, to meeting us half way and walking us to the gravesite we certainly felt like she was taking care of us. When you do this every day I imagine that much of it becomes routine and probably fairly easy for a funeral director to just assume you know what’s about to happen. If that’s the case, then we really got lucky, on the walk to the gravesite Pamela gave us some information and when we got to the grave site and were waiting for the reverend she took the time to tell us exactly what was going to happen, when it was going to happen and what our role could be. At the end of the short service, she gave us a little more information, offered to stay as long as we wanted her to and basically just tied everything off perfectly. It’s not a pleasant time for anyone but dealing with a company that seems to have all the bases covered and having Pamela and her team take care of us from beginning to end really did make an incredibly Trying time feel just a bit better, more natural. I would highly recommend this company, and of course Pamela as well.

Never preplan/prepay with this funeral home.Had terrible experience with them.Paid in full for my wife and myself for funeral arrangements over 2 years ago.Checked with the assurance company yesterday that is /supposedly holding these funds and found out that our monies are only worth 77pc of what we have paid. The representatives that had dealt with our plan were certainly not forthright in the information that they provided,as it turns out what they told us was completely misleading,regarding the plan. The reason We decided on this company was Inattended a seminar at its funeral home located in St Albert.

On the day of my mothers funeral, the staff were professional and accommodating. Lots of parking available and facility was very clean (edmonton downtown location). The only things i was dissappointed about was that they spelt my mothers name wrong on the pamphlet that was handed out, the director addressed my mom by "mister" instead of "miss". The person i dealt with, was not knowledgeable in preparing the slideshow presentation.
