The staff really helped out a lot, as most of us were still in static shock over the loss of my cousin Henry. you know when someone close to you who was such a major part of your life just goes like that ,you find it hard to get anything done you cease to do anything. Thankfully for the crew of Chapel Of The Bells McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home , the funeral went on without a problem. Thank you for everything you did for us, it really did make a difference.

Wonderful service but our funeral director, Kip, seemed to rush the entire experience for us. She also had some snarky comments towards some of our funeral guests (stating "this isn't a restaurant, you shouldn't eat on the main floor."), and also interrupted us during an obviously very intimate burial moment to remind us to return our white gloves. Was also disappointed to be criticized by her when we chose to have a female pallbearer, she felt it was needed to voice her unnecessary opinion that it was "unusual" and "untraditional" to have a female pallbearer. ****We were also overwhelmed and felt pushed into buying the DNA capsule that the funeral home sells. Their selling point was that the DNA of my father was crucial in genetic testing if I ever wanted to look into my own specific genes (ie. for genetic disorders, etc.). However, after further research, we decided that this was unnecessary as it would make more sense to have your own DNA tested rather than that of a late family member since not all genes are passed on to each child. So I highly recommend that you do your own research so that you are not persuaded into paying several hundred dollars for a vial of DNA.**** Regardless, we were pleased and relieved that we chose Chapel of The Bells, and we will definitely be returning to see a different funeral director.

I was super impressed with the level of attention, knowledge, and degree of customer service we received for my grandmother's traditional Buddhist funeral. The staff were highly compassionate and accommodating. Made the stressful situation seamless and pain-free. Highly recommend Stephanie Ho for any Asian family looking to make sure their loved one's funeral follows the necessary rituals. Before my grandmother's death, I was pretty wary of funeral homes, but I totally get it now... you definitely want competent, experienced people taking care of your family during a really difficult time! Special thanks to Sharon Kostin, our funeral director for her kind care in making arrangements for my Dad. Such a sad time it is, but she made us feel special and made me relax to make everything easier. As I told her on the day, I don’t know how you do this. She also arranged for our celebrant for our graveside service. He did a wonderful farewell for my Dad. He would have loved it. The experience I had at the Chapel of the Bells on Centre St on 20th December, 2021 was truly horrendous. From the booking of the funeral with a person with no empathy to the day of the ceremony; where upon entering the Chapel of the Bells, they got the name of my dear Mom wrong, even though her picture and details were clearly displayed on the screen. We had arranged to see my Mom before the service and despite sending a picture of her at their request (which was received), they made no attempt to prepare her, not even wiping the dry blood from her nose. On seeing my distress at the state of her, a hairdryer, brush and water spray were produced by the staff in an effort to make her look half decent, in the end my husband held her head while I tried to style her bangs, it was truly heartbreaking. During the service the music to one of the hymns we had provided did not start on time, there was just silence so we started to sing and halfway through our singing the music came on. It was a horribly sad time for all concerned. The only reason I am giving them one star is because at my suggestion, they made a charitable donation of $500 to the Alzheimer’s Society in her name.

These guys are excellent. If you honestly have a loss deal with them. They are extremely helpful and honestly superior to all . My wife died and they were above supportive to all. Being palutive I also set up my own funeral arrangements and trust me. They are extremely excellent. You honestly care trust these people.
