Here we offer you the reviews of people like you who are using the services of MCI The Doctor's Office at Six Points Plaza (Massage Therapist) in York (Canada).
Right now the business has a score of 2 stars over 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really insufficient, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can say that the rating is quite faithful. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Massage Therapist belongs to the category of Walk-in clinic.
All the bad reviews are just of the office itself and should be ignored. All walk in clinics will have a wait time no matter what. The reviews should be about the ability of the physician who treated you. The review should not be about the clerk who was rude to you after having dealt with a bunch of other customers who all think their medical problem is of the utmost importance.
BOOKED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 12:15 PM THIS AFTERNOON, GOT THERE WAITED FOR 1 HOUR 30 MINUTES. THEY TOLD ME TO COME INTO THE ROOM I THEN WAITED ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. HORRID SERVICE HORRID STAFF NEVER GO HERE I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU 0 STARS
Worst place ever - advertises that they are open until 8pm, but the door is locked at 7:30pm. They only allow people to exit the place as needed, and the doctor is choosing not to take any more patients at 7:30pm. Is it even legal to advertise one information, but to act completely differently? Beware and save your time.
Heartless people I am physically in pain and they give people more of a hard time then they help people. Not sure about the reception but don't go here. Edit: August 27th 2021 @2:00pm - I had got into a car accident and my ribs were bruised and was in pain and honestly I had used to go to the MCI on Eglinton near the Rexall before you moved and booking appointments wasn't a issue until the location was moved. I called to see some physically just to make sure my ribs were okay I had called several times with no connection to the phone lines until I got the receptionist on Friday August 20th she had said that they cannot make appointments and that I had to be considered a walk in and to call back on the 21st. I did and I called so many without connection and finally able to get in touch with a receptionist she had put me on hold for over 10 mins and when she answered I was in the washroom with her on mute when I unmuted her she hung up on me. She only had said "hello" once before hanging up. I tried calling again and still no connection and frustrated. I was already in so much pain I just wanted someone to just do an Xray on my ribs. I had to resort going to the hospital which I ended up waiting for 14 hours to just tell me that it was the aftermath of the accident but I have no broken ribs and that just wait until the swelling and bruises subside and they just gave me pain killers. I'm sorry but I lost faith in your facility. It may not be a common practice but that 1 time was enough for me to not waste my time again. Maybe have your receptionist say "Hello" 3 times before deciding to hang up would be something I would suggest going forward to avoid reviews like this. Thanks for reaching out hopefully this will help others in the future. Warm Regards
I had the impression that the doctor was highly inexperienced and lacks compassion and personality. She did not take the time to properly assess my problem. She was too quick in prescribing a medication that had no effect on my issue. I will not be returning to this location.
Dr.Amin is a great doctor. My wait time at the clinic was fast, Dr Amin got me setup with xrays and ultrasounds, they called me back the next day with a diagnosis. Nothing but positive things to say about my experience.
This medical Clinic is the worst my family of 4 has ever experienced. Wait time is long at the reception area. They call you in and the wait time is sometimes just as long in a room waiting for the doctor. You are there because you feel sick/ill and the Doctor's won't prescribe the medicine you need. A different doctor all the time or in many cases. They are usually rude and just angry or a bad attitude. It seems like they want to get to swipe your Ohip card and be send on your way. You leave there with no choice but to go to another Clinic and get a prescription from a professional. Avoid this place.
Extremely slow wait times because the doctor just kinda strolls around to check if a room has a person in it. I once was told to wait closer to the door to make sure he could see me. Also, asking how long it's gonna be is like asking anyone in shoppers, they have absolutely no idea. However, the tests I've gotten there are fine, and generally they do well with vaccinating you so that went well but other than that horrible
Worst clinic ever! Never go over the weekend! The doctor on duty is extremely rude and doesn't even give you a second to express yourself. She has absolutely no wish to understand why you're there. Other days of the week the doctors manage patients as pieces in a factory production line. It's in and out without any satisfactory diagnosis or discussion as to why meds are prescribed. Horrible and by no means a fit place to call itself a clinic.
Of course there is always room for improvement. I would suggest the following: 1). Have a bigger more convenient seating area, b). Perhaps have a numbering display system so that we know where we are in our turn to see the document instead of asking the nurse all the time, c). Perhaps show a wait time indicator based on the number of patients in front of you?, d). I liked the doctors though and the nurses are courteous.. e). One of the nurse seemed to be quite pre-occupied when i saw her twice. Just a simple sentence like "How are you today .. " etc. goes a long way :)
Because this office has appointments and walk-ins my initial wait time of 45min - 1 hour was pushed and pushed. While it's understandable that people with appointments are seen at their scheduled time it is very frustrating to see person after person go ahead of me. If the wait time is in fact 2 hours not 45 min be clear when I sign in. I might decide not to stay or make a later appointment with my own doctor. This is ridiculous.
100 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr. Babatope is wonderful! I first saw him during a walk-in and was beyond impressed by his outstanding quality of medical care. I have now had the privilege to be his patient for a year. Finding a family physician like him is next to impossible. Dr. Babatope takes such good care of my health and ensures that his patients’ concerns are heard, acknowledged and diagnosed correctly and efficiently. MCI as a business did a great job working with a doctor as conscientious and brilliant as Dr. Babatope. Thank you!
The worst clinic ever. Dr Babatope- never seen such a unprofessional doctor. First time living a review for a doctor but this guy deserves it.
Listen to the reviews people. Dr Wong was so miserable she seemed to barely care about what I was expressing to her. After several paperwork’s handed to me, they attempted to charge me $35 for a note for massage therapy for my insurance company despite never having paid that before, or for it explained to me. I feel like my tax money was just thrown in the trash on this appointment. The girls at the front are nice though.
I have been to this clinic on many occasions. True the staff is generally unfriendly and the wait is pretty boring. For the most part I find the doctors don't recommend or prescribe the right things. As an example, I told the doctor I had an allergic reaction to Polysporin and asked for an allergy test. The doctor told me to just not use Polysporin and wouldn't facilitate the test. When I asked for a prescription of Bactroban as a substitute I had to convince the guy that although I didn't have a cut now I will surely have one in the future and I want to be prepared. He almost didn't give me the script. Another time I went for a prescription that I had gotten at this clinic before and the female doctor refused to give it to me. I went back the next day and a different doctor gave it to me. Lastly I had requested several blood tests from this clinic and now that I have recently reviewed all of my records they have on file I see that the tests they did covered less than a quarter of the tests I had requested. Make sure you complete medical school before attending this clinic. This place is convenient because it's close but that's about it. I did go the the other clinic in the plaza once before but found them more expensive.
Came in after checking out their website only to be very rudely informed that the walk in was only available Wednesday and Saturday "as was obvious from the window" which it was not, there were a lot of signs and none of them said the walk in was so ridiculously restricted. I came quite a way to get medical help only to be turned away with no empathy and no other options.
The receptionist was the most unfriendly woman I've ever interacted with and was incredibly inconsiderate of my need to see a doctor. I was there at 9am when they opened to see a doctor but since there was a 45 minute wait and I had to work across the street at 10, she told me I could come after work. When I called around 6 to ensure that was the case still, she told me they had closed registration. They close the clinic at 8. She refused to take me and was unapologetic even though she had told me they would. Being in need of seeing a doctor is already a bad thing. This woman made it worse. What an aweful, aweful person.
He was being patient and not even listening to the problem. Even asked multiple times still he washed away the talk and send me out as soon as possible. I waited 25 days for this appointment.
The website says that they are open until four on Sunday but stop taking patients at three. I showed up before three and the receptionist started signing me in and then came back and said they stop taking patients. If you have specific hours posted on the website then you should stick by them. I left work early so I could make it to a doctor on time just to be turned away anyways. Seems like I'm not the only person that is had this problem before either.
Have been coming to walk in clinic for years. Never encountered problems with any of the doctors to deal with immediate health issues. One biggest advantage of the current adjustment is the availability of phone appointments. I wanted to get a new prescription and the doctor called me back within 15 minutes of initial calling. I understand others' frustration in getting a hold of receptionist. But the volume of calls is high at this time, after keep on trying 3rd time is usually the charm then someone eventually put me on hold. Then once they picked up they allocated entire attention to my call so I am happy. Great to have walk-in's throughout this time and provides timely attention to your patients.
You may need to hire more receptionists who can be on call depending on the flow of calls you may receive on a day to day basis. They may not need to sit in the clinic but can help take messages etc..and forward calls if necessary..
I have gone here three times since October against my better judgement. This place has really gone downhill since the previous manager retired. The nursing staff is very unempathetic to the patients. I even said how are you to the nurse and got no response. I needed a referral and was going to be late for work. I was already seen my the nurse and just waiting for the doctor. She pretty much said it didn't matter what I did instead of asking the doctor to pop in quick for 2 seconds for the referral. The doctor was fine just the rest of the staff needs to be changed.
Worst walk-in clinic experience I've ever had, will never use their services again and I'm not sure I will ever visit another MCI managed doctor's office again. Waited 30 minutes and a very rude and condenscending female doctor questioned me about why I was seeing her and asking for antibiotics instead of my family doctor, ignoring the fact that I've moved and I'm in fact looking for a new family doctor in the area, I even asked the receptionist if they had openings for new patients! This doctor repeatedly treated me with no respect and responded to any information I gave her with "that doesn't matter". To top it all off when she finally caved in and gave me a 7 day prescription she screwed it up and the onsite shoppers drug mart had to question me about what doctor's office gave me the prescription as it was missing required details. Lastly this woman doctor ended things by telling me to go to my family doctor next time, I will once I find one, and it certainly won't be at this office!
If I could give this 0 stars I would. The wait is extremely long and they lie about wait times to get patients to register. I was told the wait was an hour and it took almost 4 hours for me to be seen. The staff is unprofessional and there is a huge lack of communication between the patients and any of the Heath care professionals. You are better off going to wait in the ER than in this walkin clinic. Safe to say I won't be coming back.
Visited on a Monday evening. Less than an hour wait. Quickly seen by a reasonable and courteous doctor - he prescribed antibiotics and made a referral. Pharmacy is next door. Referral was processed the next day and made a specialist appointment in a reasonable time. Either I had low expectations (from these reviews) or it seemed reasonable to me. Overall quite satisfied with the experience.
I couldn't ask more from a walkin clinic or my GP office. Clean facility with wonderful & friendly general practitioners, and staff. It's very rare nowadays to be able to have a comfortable, not rushed, discussion with a doctor. I always leave feeling appreciative of our country's free medical services, when the treatment and service is at such a high standard.
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY. I was coming in with a bad knee I couldn't easily stand on and not only did they see me standing and waiting outside, but they continued to just go about their day without even unlocking the door for me to come in to my appointment. They left me standing there with the pain for quite a while. How am I suppose to go in for my appointment if the reception doesn't even bother to come unlock the door? Maybe don't lock the doors if your staff isn't going to pay attention. I came at 11:16am and waited outside until 11:32am on my bad knee. My appointment was at 11:20 and the receptionist ignored me and left me waiting at the door until 10 past. I even got there early...and continued to wait inside for quite some time. This place is just an embarrassment. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
Called ahead of time and was told they would be open till 4. Google says 4 and the sign on their door said 4. I arrived at 2:20pm to find a locked door. The doctor was planing to go home for 3. Several other people and family came by in the 15 minutes I waited to see if they would take me outside thier locked door. Unprofessional and fauls advertising of hours.
If I could offer zero feedback I would. Receptionist, nurse amazing politeness. Saw the dermatologist Dr who should not be allowed to work with patients. Very rude and arrogant man . Complete idiot. Please do not see this man as he will not help you. Will make out there is something wrong with you. I feel sorry for the employee who has to reply to all these google reviews, there is only so much a person can do. Advice to the Dr do some training on how to talk to patients or improve aspects within your own life. There is clearly no empathy and rudeness present in this man.
Dr Noor Amin is so disrespectful! While there were only one patient waiting inside he had the courage to tell me “you’re wasting my time now” when I asked him a few extra questions that didn’t even take 2 mins of his precious time. My insurance is paying for you to answer to those questions you arrogant! Don’t ever go to that clinic all they care about is your insurance money, not you as a patient. And they try to get rid of you as soon as possible
I read the negative reviews but still went because nothing else was open on a Sunday close to me. I arrived at 2pm, was out the door with my prescription after 30 minutes. Saw Dr Amin who assessed me and gave me proper prescriptions (exactly what I expected to get). No issues for me here, will definitely come back. Bonus: inside the SDM so was able to shop while waiting for my prescription to be filled.
I should sue your office for refusing to help me while I was begging to see me when I had anaphylectic shock from a wasp sting. When ambulance picked me up on the parking lot 10 minutes later my pulse was 60 and I was on my way. You should be ashamed of yourself. I'll make sure this gets out to the ministry.
I went here today because I had a really bad cold and half of my face was swollen, and I couldn't wait to see my family doctor. I saw Dr. Noor who is extremely rude, zero bed side manner, condescending, I asked him a question and instead of answering me he said "that's how medicine works" I found him to be disgusting, he didn't do a proper examination either, and couldn't be bothered to take 2 minutes to talk to me and answer my questions, and this was after I told him I have alot of anxiety about seeing doctors and medical procedures. Zero care or concern. I found the entire things very traumatic and disgusting. Would rather wait 8 hours at the emergency then come back here and see DR. NOOR again!
The receptionist was rude, but the nurse was nice. My partner waited with me for an hour at this clinic, but they wouldn't let him use the bathroom there because it was very literally "for patients only".
This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!! I called at 9:30AM to have an over the phone appointment with a doctor. The nurse called me at 9:55 for a screening and said the doctor should be calling me within 30-45mins. I had to call back 3TIMES during the day to see about my appointment. My final call back at 3:30 (30mins before closing) I was put on hold for 15mins, then a doctor finally came on. NOT ONE APOLOGY for the inconvenience. NO SIGN OF REMORSE for wasting my whole damn day. A 3 minute conversation about my symptoms and what I should do. I wish I remembered the doctors name (older woman) so I could cuss her myself. I’ll NEVERRRRRRRRRRR use this place again. It really shouldn’t take 6 hours to tell me I need Reactin. I would’ve gotten a faster answer at the hospital. I rate this place -5/10.
Called a few times today and no one answers the phone. I know they are going to write they appreciate the feedback but this does not look like a good place. Gave 1 star as 0 is not possible.
Been here 3 times, and have not yet once managed to see a doctor despite waiting a minimum of 90 minutes. On all 3 occasions, I noticed that NO ONE actually went in or out of any treatment rooms for the entire 90 minutes, and so finally took my child and left. In other words, they line up the patients, and then hope that a doctor arrives who will just funnel them through at 2 minutes each. Really awful. Pretty sure they only have a doctor actually there half the time - I haven't see one there yet.
Dr. Dabb was efficient and answered all my questions. I found everyone professional. Wait times were not long if you phoned in advance. I felt in good hands and had competent care.
Don’t deserve the single star too. The doctor chooses to come in and go as he please while they give you appointments for when he’s not in the building and No one has a clue about where he is. After 2 hours of waiting we were told they need to call and find out his whereabouts. Don’t waste your time with this pathetic place.
"Hours open" not respected. I went to the clinic at 330pm on a Saturday and they had already locked the door. I could see what appeared to be reception and Doctor talking but they paid no mind to me. If you want to close at 330 on Saturday, that's fine, but at least have the decency to have the correct hours of operation posted on your door and online.
If you leave a bad review for a walk-in clinic because you expected special treatment instead of waiting for a doctor like everyone else, there's something wrong with you. I was told by a friendly receptionist, with apology, that I was in for a bit of a wait and that's FINE because I knew better than to think just because I only need refills on my scripts that they will see me before others. The nursing staff was very nice, the doctor was great.
I have had only positive experiences here as a walk in patient- yes, you are going to wait, but if the alternative is no care from your regular family Dr on the same day then it’s worth the wait.
After visiting the clinic today I am completely baffled by all the negative reviews. Everyone from the receptionist to nurses and doctors have all been exceptionally kind and professional and I was seen within 5 mins. I will definitely use this clinic in the future, especially because they do in person appointments.
Went here once with a slight infection on the side of my mouth. I had researched it on my own earlier and thought it was angular cheilitis. Went in, waited for about an hour and explained why I thought it was that and not a cold sore. Doctor scribbled down a prescription and told me to go to the pharmacy. Headed there and asked the chemist what the prescription was for, "Cold sores" he told me. I asked his opinion as well. He looked at it and said "That doesn't look like a cold sore to me." Had to wait another day and got an appointment with my Doctor (it was the weekend). She looked at it for about 10 seconds, said "Yeah, he's wrong, it does look like angular cheilitis." Apparently, because angular is a mix between bacterial and fungal, the cold sore medication could have made it worse. Not coming here any time soon. These doctors care more about their Government subsidies as they do about their reputation or their patients.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!! 1. The staff are incredibly rude. 2. The line rings forever and they barely pick up the phone 3. The staff are not aware of procedures and booked me in for an appointment without letting the doctor know 4. The staff don't communicate (doctors and reception staff). The doctor told me to come in, the staff made me wait for over an hour to see the doctor and when I told them I had an appointment they said that I didn't I'm definitely switching my family doctor to another doctor. This clinic is hard to deal with!!!
Never recommend to go to this place! Super rude and no customer service mind from nurse and doctor. They have lack of understanding skill, dont know how to talk to patients. They just asked stupid questions which is NOT related to my concern. Never let me finish talking. So rush to talk, never get to the point. 30min on the phone with the nurse and doctor was very disappointing and waste of time. They dont want to help you, although you told them your concern and asked questions, they dont want to listen to you. Very stubborn. I had to beg them to ask my questions, otherwise they will never let you talk. Even though I nicely told them about my concern, they still wanted me to repeat. DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY MANY REASONS WHY PPL DONT RECOMMEND YOU TO GO.
I have come here quite a few times and find it is a shorter wait than other clinics. I find the staff to be very nice and helpful. I am very pleased with the nurses and doctors, in my experience they do their jobs well.
I just had a phone appointment with one of the doctors from this walk in clinic. The meanest person ever! Super rude, did not let me even talk and hanged up, just because I told him that the doctor from the night shift never called me back to give me the results of my x-rays and ultrasound and I was still feeling sick. He yelled at me on the phone and hanged up. Worst experience ever. Not coming back.
I have been there a couple of times before and they were diligent and treated me as they should. Today (sunday) complerely different experience. I arrived at 1:50 pm, and they didn't allowed me to see the doctor even though they close at 4pm, saying they were many patients in line. Outside there were only 4 people. I found this very disrespectful. If you are going to close early, then mention it in you working hours. The receptionist was quite cold and borderline rude.
Having a severe allergic reaction and wasted my time going here! After waiting an hour and a half I was given 30 seconds of the doctors time who didn't look at the multitude of hives I have all over my body and just recommended over the counter meds and Calamine lotion. That's fine if that's all it needs but at least look at it! The nurse was lovely but the doctor is just a money making machine.
This clinic has always been great for myself and my daughter when we can’t get to our family physician. We’ve been numerous times and have yet to have a bad experience... I would disregard the negative comments.
Horrible clinic!!!!! If I could give it no stars, I would. Do not go on a Sunday. There is only one doctor on duty and he happens to be the rudest doctor I have ever met. The wait time was almost 2 hours. Dr. Amin has no interpersonal skills, compassion or understanding of patients. Do not waste your time with this doctor!
My girlfriend needed a tetanus shot and didn't want to go to a hospital. MCI was an amazing option. The receptionist nurse and Dr Amin were exceptional. They even convinced me to update mine as well. I didn't have my health card but they allowed me to get it with no wait. Kudos.
I went into the clinic with a cut that did not stop bleeding, they took me in right away. Dr Amin was very good, got 3 stitches . I have nothing negative to say about the clinic in all the times I have been there.
Longest wait time I've ever experienced. Over 2.5 hours to get some simple blood samples. Avoid any MCI clinic at all costs.
I'm quite surprised to see so many bad reviews. I've been to this clinic several times and had a very good experience. No one was rude to me. The doctor was very helpful and the medication she prescribed worked really well. The only little issue I had is the doctor's had to change right when I was called in, so I spent 5 more minutes there, but I understand that doctors are people too, and they don;t want to stay overtime.
I am not sure why all the bad reviews....my family and I go here for all our walk in needs. The wait is never very bad, they do phone consultations and everybody I have dealt with is very nice. I can be quite difficult to deal and I have had good experiences here. I highly recommend this clinic
I would say one of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life!!! I walked in and this guy reception was so rude to me. Then I walked in the doctors office and this doctor literally just walked in for 2 seconds and looked at my throad and said strep. This doctor prescribed the wrong dose !! After the antibiotics didnt kick in and it came back. This doctor is far the worst and shouldnt pass to be a doctor please don't go here.
Traumatic Experience - I came in last week to see DR.WONG with a severe sore throat. I told her i was in crucial pain, couldn't sleep, and had trouble swallowing. DR.WONG did not do a full assessment on me whatsoever. She lied to me and told me she took a swab when looking quickly in my throat but now after being OFFICIALLY swabbed I know she did not. She then sent me home saying I had a virus, no antibiotics just rest. Three days later I'm in emergency at the hospital with strep throat so bad that my tonsils had swollen and basically closed my throat, I had a high fever and was choking on my own salvia. Now I am on steroids to keep the swelling down and an extremely strong anti biotic because of how bad the bacterial infection got. This was an extremely traumatic experience that I will be sharing with everyone I know that uses this clinic. This would have never happened if DR.WONG took the TIME to listen to her patient and do a proper medical assessment. I will never be stepping foot in this clinic again.
I had Dr Atharai today..not sure of his name but a bald brown Indian old man. He was unempathetic, rude and out of line. He was unprofessional with his language. I had a fall which caused me severe back pain and also had a negative blood result for vaccination that I needed taken care off right away. My fam doctor was closed and I needed a doctors note. He basically told me u are good enuf to fly, just take pop pain meds. In no way form should you dismiss a patients description of pain and make them feel like they are lying. Pain is what the patient says it is. He basically refused to give me a note and was extremely rude. It was quite appalling.
Ugly experience. I was waiting for Doctor's phone call fir two days. Nobody call me. Dont waste your time.
The place could be more organized when it comes to scheduling and wait times. I think this is something for management to look into. However if I have no choice to go to a walk-in, I would recommend seeing any of the following at this MCI location: Dr. Wong, Dr. Samie or Dr. Amin. All three of them are kind and compassionate.. all do their job well. Thank you for looking after me whenever I do need to come in.
I find the doctors here fairly good and are great communicators. I will say that at times it does get quite busy and I can't comment on the receptionist issues that seem to be mentioned a few time in the reviews as they seem to do their job sufficiently. But as the goal of visiting the office is not to see the receptionist but in fact the doctors, I think the receptionist mood is moot point at best. Keep up the good work.
Dr. Patricia Wong is fantastic, unfortunately the administration is not. I can go online at Shoppers and see my drugs, change and set refills, see history. I can go online at LifeLab, make an appointment, see all the results of my blood tests. Yet I still have to call in and rely on the human errors of the staff at this clinic. It’s been done this way for the past 43 years I have been in Canada, kinda like The Beer Store, so far behind the times it’s no longer funny. This clinic needs modernizing. This is a poorly managed clinic. Very frustrating.
Clinic really deserves 0 stars, its awlful. Went at 7:20 pm, receptionist stated "we are taking no more patients for the night try back tomorrow" - the reception was empty not a single sole! 40 minutes before close really!
Just not at all up to par. Reception is unfriendly, waiting times are incredible, Doctor's are not up to standard. NOT recommended unless its your last resort and you live close by.
Worst place to ever go to. If I could I would give them -5 stars. Forget the never ending waiting time. 90+ minutes & the doctor cut me being clueless about the problem I have. he SHOULD HAVE NEVER, it just got worse. He should of sent me to a specialist instead. But I learned to find that out by myself. NEVER GO HERE
Always responsive and quick to provide and appointment. Thanks MCI doctor's office team.
I got there at 8:55am for a 9am appointment. The door was locked and the sign said to call in. I called the posted number 15 times. The number kept ringing busy while I was FREEZING waiting outside. The receptionist saw me but kept going about her business as if it were nothing. Finally another staff member shows up at 9:15am to start her shift. I wanted to follow her in but she said I cannot and that I have to wait outside. By this point I was furious and ready to lash out. Eventually someone came and opened the door to do my covid check and let me in. I got to see the doctor at 9:45am. The system is completely flawed and broken. Poor management and really cheap business model. If your going to refer people to the phones ensure you have high volume phone lines set up and staff to answer them. I will not be going back ever. Ps - my pharmacy faxed my prescription refill to them which they never sent back. I had to call them 10 more times to finally get an answer and have my prescription refilled.
It's absolutely shameful that anyone can make an appointment here for the first time and within a minute be prescribed powerful antipsychotics to just get through with the person. Any other place you would get a referral to a specialist to assess you. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. I don't want to imagine how many people were prescribed meds they shouldn't be taking. From waiting an hour to the male nurse or whatever he is that sees u before the doc is clueless thinking thank goodness he's not the doc only to deal with a bigger idiot. PARENTS AVOID THIS PLACE the doctor doesn't care for children. I can't express it enough.
Wonderful experience visiting this walk-in clinic! It was my first time, but the staff was very courteous, professional, and helpful. The process moved so quickly! In and out in less than 30 minutes; I was incredibly impressed.
Have visited this location twice now. I am satisfied with their services. Both visits were on weekdays, walk in appointments (vs family doctor appointments). Frankly i am not sure what the difference is. Both are appointments. One was mid- day. Another was in the evening. I felt wait times reduced near evening time. Anyway. The nurses are of great help. I still have no opinion of the doctors. Maybe a 3rd visit and I might be able to confirm. Thank you!
Terrible experience. First time ever going I waited outside of a locked door with no instructions on making an appointment over the phone only however i assumed thats what needed to be done. The receptionist had no clue how much a doctors note cost or if there was going to be any charge at all (how do they not know this) she tells me between 20-30 and i asked to pay it she says they will let me know after i said okay thats fine. Finally after being let in and seated in the doctors office for 25min i was told that i now had to go back to my car to wait. So I do as its now 1030 and my first phone call was at 915. After being in my car for another 45min as it was now 1115 I called in again only to be told that they tried calling me but didnt work. I asked the phone number they had and it was not mine. Finally at 1130 I get a call from the doctor and he was very nice and tells me they will email the note to me even tho im in the parking lot at this time. Finally after spending over 2hrs there from opening time for just a doctors note i leave and go to work. Get a call from there telling me that the note can be emailed now and it will be $35...ok thats fine i give them my visa card and after a few attempts she tells me they dont accept visa debit.....When i was there in person willing to take it and pay and i was ALREADY INSIDE THE OFFICE FOR 30min! So now they want me to go BACK to the office waste more gas and time! I was in shock at the absolute lack of training and organization. I live down the street and will be going out of my way to find a new clinic. 0/10
I never thought a doctor would turn down a child with high fever half an hour before closing time!!! Here's what happened. I called just after 3 p.m. on a Saturday and found out the office is open until 4 p.m. From past experience I knew most doctors stop taking patients 30 mins before closing time. So I rushed and we got there at about 3:25 and the back door was already locked. I drove around the front and walked all the way to the back of Shopper's Drug Mart just to realize the front door was locked as well. The receptionist was still at the desk and altough I was knocking on the door she kept ignoring me. I started knocking harder to the point where she had no choice but to look at me. I tried to talk to her but she only pointed the "We no longer accept patients" sign at me. That really irritated me so I kept knocking and gesturing I would like to talk to her. She finally walked to the door and said they are closed bacause they have four more patients. I said I could see not one person waiting and she replied, they are all inside! I tried explaining my daughter has high fever and that it would only take the doctor 5 mins to look at her especially when we knew she has strep throat since both, my wife and I, were diagnosed with that earlier in the week. It was just a matter of writing up a prescription. She even refused to ask the doctor and only did it after we literally begged her to do it just to be told the doctor said NO! Wow, I thought doctors were more humane and chose this profession to help others! And again, we are talking about a 7 year old with high fever!!! Just as a side note, when my dad fractured his leg, Dr. Wood at St. Joseph's Hospital literally turned around when he saw the Xray although he was on his way out to go home!! And it was Saturday at around 7 p.m. That's what a real doctor does! The one at the MCI clinic on Dundas should be ashamed of themselves. Do not waste your time, you are much better off to drive to the clinic on Queensway across from the Trillium Hospital, it's open until 11 p.m.
Terrible experience. I had spoken with the doctor and had a prescription filled. I was told it would be sent to the Pharmacy right beside the doctors office. I went around an hour later to pick it up, waited 30 mins in line because the pharmacy was busy. Then pharmacist told they had not received anything for me. I tried calling the receptionist at the MCI clinic back to see why my prescription was not sent over like I was told it would be. However, MCI decided to close early without any notice so I was unable to speak with anyone. I wasted a couple of hours and never received my prescription.
I don't know what happened to this place, it used to be good. I will never use this place again unless I have to. I waited 3 hours for a call from the Doctor ( I was told 45 mins) before I was called back, only to be told my health card was expired (its not) I then waited another hour to finally talk to the doctor who prescribed me a drug I'm allergic to. Thankfully the pharmacy picked up on this and didn't fill my prescription. Both myself and the pharmacy tried for nearly 4 hours to get a hold the clinic to have my prescription change and neither of us could get through. A day later I'm still on hold trying to get much needed antibiotics. This is unacceptable bc my condition is now worse then it was. I would avoid this place unless you literally have no other choice
If I only could give them a big ZERO. Waiting with a child for 2h now. There is total disconnect between patient and anybody here. Let me remind you about your primary role guys. It's not just to swipe health card...you should show that you care! Like possibly to speed up, or God forbid, show some interest in people waiting. Or if you can't handle the load, don't accept patients...duh
The worst clinic I have ever been to. The management is awful. The staff compensates for their lack of knowledge with rudeness and disregard. Very poorly run. Dirty facility. All the bad reviews are 100% true. They have no desire to help patients and it is very evident from the moment you walk in the door. I would suggest another clinic. There is another one in the plaza that is better.
Most doctors are good, even if I can see their impatience sometimes, (That's how most doctors are like abd I understand caz they must be very stressful almost everyday about their job)they still finish their job professionally and let me feel at least I can find an answer to my question. However, this morning, I met a doctor who finished our meeting for only three minutes and didn't even give me time to think. When I asked what can I do now with my problem and although it wasn't a serious issue, he can choose to say it's ok or at least let you feel there's no problem, however,he asked,"What do you want from me?"So rude and made me feel like a fool. The worst one I met at this clinic. Btw, I don't quite remember his name but he doesn't have any hair.blah????????????
I had a terrible experience with a dr few days ago, then I received I call from the manager , she was very professional so I came to see the dr agin today but the lady at the front desk was more horrible , extremely rude and very unprofessional, people come here to get help not to get harassed by the staff. Instead of resolve the matters they tell patients to go somewhere else
DR babatope hv been amazing, well manner, relate in professional ways and friendly
I read the reviews before I went to walk-in clinic but had little choice as it was the only local place open late on Wednesday night. My experience was totally opposite to the other reviews, receptionist was polite and efficient and I was seen by Dr. Amin who was personable and excellent .. all within 15 mins of arriving .. incredible !
Went there for the very first time today. Waited for my turn. The moment I saw the doctor, before I completed explaining she immediately cut me off and said she cannot do any thing. She hardly let me talk at all, very rude, unclear and did not even slightly check wat is wrong with me . I myself work with a doctor. This doctor has been the first I have seen having no professionalism, no sense of attending to a patient, and just rushed me out in exactly 1 minute( I saw her in the exam room for exactly 1 5 min) Never had such a bad experience.
I'm aware this clinic is a walk-in but just a word to the wise - AVOID DR. JONATHAN MARCUS. For those of us that are people of colour, he'll first ask you what your name is, followed by why you're named your name. He'll carry on with asking you what brings you to the clinic, and he'll laugh. Jonathan is condescending, dismissive, rude, and sarcastic. Does that sound like traits of a doctor? Avoid him.
Ivy at reception is amazing. If you're rude to her though, she'll give it right back! Some of the other receptionists are sub-par. Dr. Wong is probably the best doctor I've ever had, she's great.
My husband visited this clinic because he cut himself pretty badly at work. He was seen in good time. This clinic also has a doctor onsite that can do stiches if needed so it was a much better option than going to Emerg. The doctor cleaned his cut and made sure he was up to date on his shots to ward off infection and also provided him with a prescription anti-biotic. I feel the staff were very thorough.
The worst clinic ever. The staff is very rude and the doctor is unhelpful. The doctor has no interest in actually seeing patients. He only spent about 10 seconds with me and did not explain anything. He pretty much walked in, gave me some prescription and walked out. I spent more time with the assistant/nurse explaining the reason for my visit than the doctor himself. Never going back here again
Calling them 2 days on a row and cant get line with them. Dr. Babatope is rude and arrogant. NEGLIGENCE OF DUTY!!!
Although I don't come through the doors without an appt. I generally have a pleasant visit to my Doctor....Dr. Patricia Wong. She herself is VERY good and very professional. One of the best Doctors I have had taking care of my medical needs.
Never call back. No referred to other specialist. Delaying by sending the prescription to the pharmacy 3 days+. In general they don't care.
Made a phone appointment for 2:30pm. The woman I spoke with did say the Dr could be running behind slightly so I might expect a call at 2:45pm, and that he would be out of the office by 3pm. I never received a call. I called them over 10 times and the line was busy every time.
I had a great experience at this clinic. I called to see if I can come in and the receptionist was extremely kind and generous with me on the phone. When I arrived, they opened the door for me and everything went smoothly. Dr. Samir Aziz was my doctor and he was one of the best doc I ever met in canada. He was not only thoughtful but very kind and patient with me. I have been to other MCI location and the doctors were just so in rush to kick patients out but Dr. Samir took his time to check my symptoms and listen how my pain occurred. The nurses and technician were super nice and kind as well. I really loved my visit and I would definitely go to this clinic if I have to go back. Thanks team!
If I could give zero stars I would. My husband went in and was told there were 4 people ahead of him. An hour and a half later there were still 4 people ahead of him. People would walk in and inevitably start sceaming at the receptionists because of the long wait and these people were taken in earlier despite the fact that they came in after my husband. When my husband was finally fed up, he informed them he was leaving and was told he was next. He decided to stick it out and an hour later he still had not seen the doctor. Over a 3 hour wait and he never saw the doctor. There is a serious lack of management at this clinic.
Online it says the clinic is open until 8pm. Nothing says unless we hit our full quota for the day. At 725pm a sign was on the desk saying the doctor was not seeing any further patients. The receptionist said the doctor had to fill out charts so therefore was not seeing any more patients. 35 minutes before closing time??? So Maybe update it online to say you technically don't see patients after 730pm? Seems like common sense to me.
Truly wish there was an option for a negative star. This is the epitome of a barebones minimum, crappy, sassy, Unprofessional clinic. 1. Staff is rude, rude, rude and miserable. If you don't like your job, don't rub it off on people who are seeking medical attention. It's really that simple. 2. With 2 people In the waiting room, the wait time is over an hour! Something is not right here. Curious to see if there are any changes. Highly doubt it. I only came here in because my clinic was shut. The lesson: be grateful if you have a good clinic already. This place is garbage beyond the GTA's worst landfill.
saw doctor fibi sourial. Absolutely the worst doctor i have ever met. I went in there for a simple doctor's note. Her english is poor and from the get go, she was loud, argumentative and berating for no reason at all. It was impossible to finish a sentence without being cutoff by a presuming statement. It was common cold but she said i should have seen the doctor on the first day of sickness, that's the rule (this rule comes form nowhere, it's her own rule). When i said your own medical association recommendation to the employer is to not require medical notes from employees as it's a waste of taxpayer's resources and spreads the virus further. That went over her head. She said other nonsense things but at that point I realized, reasoning with this lady is a waste of time. Doctors like her are an absolute waste of taxpayer's dollars. Her communication and language skills are extremely poor and require further ESL classes. This level of service may be acceptable in Egypt Dr. sourial, in Canada, it should not be.
A receptionist named Nicole was extremely careless, told me to call back again later and ask someone else for help, I said it’s just a question but she put me on hold for ever, although I was there on the clinic door step watching her from behind the glass.!!!!!
The absolute most disorganized service. I was placed second on the list for telephone appointment at 9am…11:30 NO CALL so I try to call the clinic to find out what is happening. It is easier for me to drive back to the clinic after waiting on the line for 15 minutes. When I get here I’m told that the doctor working from home is behind??? How is that possible. I am then fit in for an in-person appt and I overhear someone asking when she will be seen because she has been waiting two hours. I don’t ever recommend coming here. Thankfully the nurse who took a sample from me in the morning recognizes me and is the person who arranges for me to see a doctor and follows up on my test results. He gets 5 stars but the rest clinic requires a complete organizational overhaul.
I've been to this place few times and unfortunately have irge to write this review now. This is the worst clinic I have been and I heard of. Not only they are not professional they are so impolite and rude. They look you from so high to make you look small. You have to beg them for service or information. Receptionist that has to be kind and approachable are the worst. It's not for no reason that their rating is 2 stars. That's even too much. There are many places arround. Don't go here and don't let the government supports this place anymore. Disgrace!
the secretaries are actually useless here. Three times I asked to fax over medication and never did for two days. Yesterday I asked to speak to a doctor to get medication for my 3 year old and said they would call back in a few hours, of course they never did. I called again around 7:15 45 minutes before they closed and they said the doctor will call soon.... never did. Just called again today, have been on hold for 30 minutes. This place is awful.
