I am so glad I chose PolyCan for non-symptoms COVID tests for my parents. We went to clinic on late 13th Oct for Travel purpose COVID test, and received the final report on the 15th evening. My parents finally got on their flight to Shanghai on the morning of the 16th. Very efficient service. For my urgent cases, Sonia nicely follow up with me, and she had a quick turnaround when I asked her questions. If you have someone who is going to travel and requires a COVID test report, I will definitely recommend PolyCan. I registered for my travel covid test almost three weeks in advance and was told that I would be charged $200+ tax. On the day of the test, I was asked to pay an extra $50 because I had my test on a day off, even though there was no indication of this on the website or my booking confirmation. Two stars because my results did arrive ahead of time.

The stuff is extremely rude on the phone, I called in to reschedule my appointment and they told me there is an additional $50 for reschedule fee, but the website didn’t say anything about that additional fees. I emailed them before to confirm my covid test that weekend does count as work day , now they are saying it doesn’t, this totally messed up my booking and now they won’t even reschedule my booking. Horrible service , and the $168 booking deposit is non refundable while other clinic is refundable and reasonable. Worst experience ever. Don’t ever choose this clinic , they won’t refund you a penny and never reply their emails and phone calls after you book.

I had booked a flight to Hawaii online and 24 hrs prior to my flight, I read that the state of Hawaii has a separate covid guidelines than the rest of the States in the US. The covid test must be a PCR/NAAT test and NOT the standard covid test. Plus the test must be completed by an accepted authorized partner of the State of Hawaii, which Polycan is a part of. Polycan was the only place I could find that offered an expedited test result, as other only offered a result anytime between 24 to 48 hours. Polycan was able to provide my results within 16 hours. (Additional cost to expedite) The team at Polycan in Burnaby (SFU) was assisting me every step of the way and even kept me up to date late into the evening. I was very nervous that I wouldn't receive the results in time but the team at Polycan was able to reduce my anxiety by keeping me abreast until the results were emailed to me. Great service, thanks Polycan Team!

Worst experience ever. I have been trying to get in touch with them for days to reschedule my appointment due to cancellation of my flight. They never reply emails nor phone calls. And i went to there clinic today, tried to explain to them, they just tried to ignore me and ask me to leave. No customer service at all. I left the clinic with no solution, they won't refund the deposit even though they didn't even care to mention that before i made the appointment. The only way is to make another appointment online which means they can just keep collecting people's deposit and not helping them reschedule, or not helping at all.

My parents and sister did tests at PolyCan Health Center on Oct. 21. The lab reports came out on Oct. 23, about 12 hours out of of the 72 hours window before flight departure time at 11am on Oct. 27. We were a bit worry about the report time issued and therefore contacted Dr. Mai for help. He was very paitent to address our concerns and calmed us down by explaining that the arlirlines can accept the date of the cover letters from the PolyCan Health Center. We received the test reports and cover letters on Oct. 25. My parents and sister checked in and boarded the China Eastern Airline smoothly with their test reports and cover letters this moring. We all appreciate help and assistance from staff at the Center, especially Dr. Mai!

Didnt know child at age 3 must have PCR and blood test done in order to travel abroad. Flight Ticket was on DEC.13, and have not booked any test appointments for my kid. Contact poly_can health centre at 11am, DEC.12 Sunday. Staffs were super nice, helpful and efficient. Got everything done at noon and received negative results at 10PM same day. It is very stressful trying to coordinate covid test with travel. I had a 72 hr window. The issue date is the date the test was confirmed negative. Check dates and times of flights to your destination so you are ready. I booked 2 flights and knew what other airlines were available on calendar. Book online estimate 4-5 days then I visited polycan with flight date in hand and they were very good to coordinate the right date. When you check in for test have a copy of visa bill to show you paid! This is unusual but do it. My result arrived 24hrs before flight ???????? Airline will only accept printed copy It is unfortunate our government doesnt recognize essential travel and help the travel clinics have more control of result times. This clinic is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to operate. The front counter staff are highly unprofessional, rude and have no understanding of patient confidentiality. When they did have a walk-in doctor, I visited twice. The receptionist and front office staff were speaking to each other (mostly in mandarin) and when they did speak English, they were discussing a patient's file while the patient was sitting in the waiting area. Nobody wants to know that someone is there for a pap test. They also didn't give me any notice when their one and only doctor left the clinic leaving me with no notice to find a different doctor/clinic. Based on other reviews here, someone needs to take a closer look into this clinic.

I contacted them with an urgent need for a covid test so I could get in to see and care for my elderly Mother. I requested an appointment with these people and actually got a confirming email from them advising they would be in touch shortly to set up the appointment. I had up to three weeks to get this test done before I had to travel to see my Mom. No one ever called me and no one ever emailed me as they had promised. There is obviously no compassion or caring whatsoever with these people. Stay the hell away from them if you know what is good for you. They left me hanging and I am sure I am one of many. I know a lot of people had a rough experience at this facility but I think they are trying to improve on their mistakes. I actually got my results in 50 hours. I did mention the nurse at the facility before I gave my sample, that I need it within 72 hours as I only had that much time before i boarded my flight. I wish I could give a negative rating for this clinic. I paid a deposit for COVID testing because it said on their website that the results would be back within 48-72 hours. After I made the appointment it became clear they could not deliver on this promise, so I phoned them multiple times and sent many emails to cancel my appointment and request a refund but never got a response nor were they answering their phone. They were clearly being misleading and now I can't even get a hold of anybody to ask for a refund. DO NOT book any appointments with this clinic!

Wow，this may be a wonder which happned in the morning of Oct. 9, 2020. After a number of calls with no respond, a nice lady picked up the phone and managed to reschedule my testing to meet the flight change by terrible Air Canada. Her service is full of helpfulness and understanding which gave me great experience that I've never had from the day dealing with the Covid-19 testing for China trip. Big thanks to her!

My experience with PolyCan was a bit of a rollercoaster. To start with I could NOT reach anybody by email or phone (I tried several times). I wouldn't have booked with them, but they were the only clinic where I could get an appointment when I needed it (prior to flying). I made an appointment through their online booking system, which was relatively smooth. When I showed up to the clinic, I was ushered to an office space upstairs that seemed to be hastily thrown together. The receptionists were great and there was plexiglass at the desk, but then I was sat in the hallway - very near to the front desk - to have my swab taken ... right in plain sight. As a healthcare professional myself, I felt that privacy/dignity were not priorities. That said, I didn't have any negative social interactions. I received my result the morning of the 4th day. It didn't bear a signature (which South Africa stipulated for my entry) so I phoned (no answer) and then emailed PolyCan but with little to no hope that anyone would even respond. I'm delighted to say that a lovely staff member named Wincy responded promptly and sent me a copy of my test result with a signature from the nurse at PolyCan. She was kind and friendly and my experience with her was by far the best I've had all along the way. So, in the end, I received what was promised but with a lot of uncertainty and anxiety on the journey. I leave for my flight tomorrow and I'm confident that I have everything I need.
