What a disappointment! The rooms are set up in such a way that you can hear everything from the room next to you making it hard to relax. The therapist there should have pointed out to her client to keep the volume down, but nothing; she just engaged in the conversation. My therapist failed to explain what to do, where to go and didn't even offer tea after the massage. Everything was rushed and definitely not an experience you would expect at a spa. I was there with a client and was humiliated by the experience. Trying to rectify the situation, I decided not to bring any attention to it by having a conversation in front of my client but called to explain the situation two days later. I spoke to a manager who assured me that she will look into it and call me back later that day. It has now been 5 days since I spoke to her and I still haven't heard back. I presume I'm not going to at this point. It appears that the spa is about offering a sub par treatment to tourists that are unlikely to return and don't care about the experience or service they provide, repeat business is not part of their strategy. Save your money, go elsewhere. I have tried many spas in Collingwood/Blue Mountain area and never experienced anything like this.

Just a terrible RMT massage. Of the hundreds of massages I’ve had, this ranks among the worst. If having copious amounts of cream sloshed about your body is your idea of a massage, this is for you. But if you actually want to feel something, some relief, something for your muscles (and not your knees or other bony parts), watch out for what therapist you get here. This was an over priced hour with an RMT, and you’d never know it. I actually had to end it early, it was that uncomfortable.

This place was lovely. I'd never had a massage before and as a gift, a friend had booked my boyfriend and I a couple's massage here. Everyone was incredibly friendly and kind and despite the fact that I had never done it before, my awkwardness was minimal. My masseuse was also excellent, talking me through the process, and when I let her know that I'd never had a massage before she just told me what she recommended and didn't make me make a decision that I didn't understand. I would absolutely recommend this place! I felt amazing all day.

Iwa was great this past weekend! I had a pregnancy massage and a facial, both really enjoyable! The facial was a little bit rough, she could have touched/wiped a bit more gently, but I was happy with the results. Gail was fantastic for the massage and super informative. Highly recommend!

Small but mighty. The car park is still being developed (?) but can park right outside the facility. Aaron is a great RMT who will relax your muscles without the deep tissue pressure. You get to choose your scent for massage lotion and afterwards there is tea with almond chocolate (tastes like Almond Roca). Definitely a refreshing experience!

Ganban heated stone beds were very relaxing. Feeling very nice the day after from the therapy. Staff were very helpful and friendly and made our Honeymoon extra special. The spa lounge is also very cosy with lots of amenities.

I would highly recommend the Iwa spa to anyone interested in treating themselves to a Self-Care experience while visiting Blue Mountain! My mom surprised my sister & I by booking us deep-tissue massages while she got a pedicure, and right from the start of checking in, we were looked after & taken care of so well. I want to give a huge s/o to David, this was probably the best (and definitely needed) massage I have received in a very very long time. Also, a huge s/o to the staff at Iwa, you all made us feel pampered & relaxed during our experience (and we cannot stop eating the chocolate we ended up buying & taking home after trying), THANK YOU <3

I tried to love this place, but it was very difficult. They have a 24 hr cancellation notice. We had an emergency in the parking lot as we were coming in, so one of the indiviudals stayed back to deal with it and the rest of us went in. When we went in, we explained the situation in hopes that this situation would be considered an extenuating circumstance. However, we were told that we should've told them 24 hours in advance by the staff. Of course if the emergency had happened 24 hours in advance we would have, but since it was in the parking lot, there was nothing we could do. The spa refused to do anything to help us out in this situation, which I did not feel was fitting of good customer service. The massage itself was great, but definitely overpriced. If you are claiming through insurance, you should get the RMT massage. End note- if you might have an emergency, don't go here! They won't help you out and will expect full payment.

Holiday relaxation session started with a 30min complimentary volcanic hot room meditation, followed by a 50min body scrub and massage by Christina. Christina was the perfect combination of relaxation and great company. I didn't leave feeling beaten up or sore, I felt relaxed and ready for a big glass of wine in front of a fire place. My only recommendation would be some type of mat for the 30min hard volcanic floor meditation, pressure point develop about half way through. P.s. the caramel chocolates they offer will satisfy any sweet tooth... delicious.

Great spa right near the mill pond. Had a couples massage, they fit us in last minute as the Scandinave was booked up. I found the massage a little pricey for the length of time and atmosphere but the massages were nice and the staff very friendly. Would recommend if you'd like to visit a nice clean spa in the village.

Had a couple's massage with my wife. We requested two women therapists, but we're given a man and a woman. We decided not to say anything because we were nervous they were too busy and wouldn't be able to supply a woman (plus felt bad for the male therapist, who probably gets paid per client). I asked to have all the focus on my lower back and legs. I asked on my health form and directly to my therapist to do my lower back and legs. She proceeded to start lightly rubbing my upper back for maybe 15 min. Then spent maybe three minutes on my lower back. Once she finally moved to my legs, she rubbed my hamstring and side of one leg less than 10 times then moved on to ligjtly rub my calf. I had to ask her maybe four times to return to my legs because she always wanted to return to my upper back. At no point did she not demonstrate any knowledge of the human body, but the ability to listen to what I was saying. So....if you're looking to pay twice as much for a massage from a therapist who has given up on their career a long time ago- this place is for you.

My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage here but somehow messed up the timing - I was sure it was at 2:30 but it was actually at 2 pm. Not sure where the mixup was (on our end or theirs) but the manager was really helpful and was able to figure out how to get us both in for massages that day without charging us for the missed appointment. I had a fantastic massage from Janine, who was friendly and professional. Will definitely come back on our next visit to Blue Mountain and try out other services.

I booked a 'relaxation' massage during my weekend's stay at Blue Mountain. I'd looked at other spas and chose this one because of positive reviews. I wanted an aromatherapy massage but was told that, although one was not on the offered list, a relaxation massage would be one with a mixture of oils, so I booked it. I was told to get there 20-25 minutes early, to fill in questionnaires etc. I was ushered through to a reception area which was crowded and embarrassingly small, no privacy, no peace and quiet, the opposite of what is usually provided in spas. I have used spas all over the world and this fell far short of average. Not only that, but I was made to sit there for OVER 20 minutes and no one even asked me to fill in a health and safety questionnaire! As a doctor, I know that this is totally unacceptable! Pre-existing conditions MUST be declared and identified by the spa. The 'collection' of clients was next and many found this embarrassing too, instead of just calling out your name, the masseuse loudy announced theirs in public before shaking hands and requiring clients to say 'pleased to meet you' etc., then leading the client off to a room. My masseuse was good, BUT there were some issues with the massage itself. Firstly, she told me that it was a 'full body massage', but it certainly was not! My feet were not touched at all and only the back of my legs were massaged - when lying on my back neither my calves or thighs were even touched. This is unacceptable. The masseuse was completely silent, except for brief instructions, which is not really an issue, and I can't criticise her for it, BUT she might have asked if I had any issues/wanted her to concentrate on any area in particular, that's after all a minimum in other spas. The music was very quiet and not very relaxing. Oils were not used, simply a very mild scented body lotion, very disappointing. In addition, on the website and advertising sheet, it said there would be a free sample of the oil/lotion used and I didn't even get that! Overall, I paid $140 for something that would cost $50 back in Toronto and be much more comprehensive. I do not recommend that anyone visits here for a massage.

Amidst the uncertainty and chaos of the Pandemic, the staff at Iwa Spa were extremely accommodating. I went in for a relaxation massage and my fiance after, Katherine was my massage personnel and she absolutely worked wonders with her delicate yet firm technique. I definitely enjoyed every bit of it and feel I can take the next few months of craziness without a stride. Thanks Katherine and everyone else. Highly recommend ❤️

Absolutely fantastic experience 10/10 recommend. Myself and my partner both had massages. I had an RMT and omg it was to die for. She was professional and knew what she was doing. She used oil instead of lotion which was a game changer. It was one hour of bliss. Will for sure be going back. We then had roughly 15-20 minutes in the volcanic room upstairs and we both laid there with our backs against the hot rocks... The experience was indescribable.

One of the best massages ever received! Scandinave massages were booked 2 to 4 months in advance, and when we wanted to have an RMT massage anyways, we found Iwa. Thankful we did!! I would aplan future scandinave visits with a trip here first - and a little earlier for my appointment so I could enjoy the serenity of the lounge a little longer. Ps. Accept the chocolate. Michelle and her team made us feel at home during our 2 day experience. We had proseco during our pedicures (you get to bring your own little pedicure pack home), relaxation massages, and spent time in the soothing volcanic rock room. When checking out we discovered the most amazing feel good boutique. Spent some time and more money on some great items. Staff members are highly knowledgeable and eager to help if you have questions. If you get the chance to go do it! Totally worth the expense. A day filled with the best self indulgence options.

My hubby and I were on a weekend / baby getaway, my hubby booked us an appointment at the spa I had an emergency and called to cancel even reschedule if possible . I called and left a message which they didn't respond to then I called again to confirm they got my message. I talked to the manager Ali. The place did not care one bit that I am pregnant, stressed and had an emergency!! All they cared about was their money. Very unfortunate! When I asked to reschedule I was told they'd still charge us 250 and we'd pay next time again. We were told the RMT was scheduled there for us. I'm pretty sure the RMT is there whether we are there or not. We ended up going because otherwise they would have charged us 250!! I cried through the whole experience and did not enjoy my time. I have never been this badly mistreated as badly as I did today. EVER!! A spa experience is supposed to be something enjoyable but this was traumatic! Never again will I step my foot in this establishment. I have never met a manager who hates customers as much as this manager ! Edit: since I cannot respond to your response I'll add to my review. I not once disrespected your staff. I spoke about how I feel. I felt mistreated and did not like how the situation was handled. I don't see a problem with a customer complaining. A customer complaining is not verbal abuse. If your staff was verbally abused and inappropriate language was used I'm pretty sure that as an owner/manager I would make sure the customer is asked to leave which never happened because there was no verbal abuse or inappropriate language. As for your cancellation policy it's to make sure you are making a profit without caring for your clients or customers. I get massages regularly and have never ever been this badly mistreated. I hope my review helps others not come to this horrible money hungry establishment. It's very sad you guys would accuse me of being the bad person when in reality you have unreasonable cancellation policy and your staff weren't very professional in my case.

I spent a couple of hours at Iwa today and it was fantastic. We had a yoga class with Matt, it was meditative and super relaxing, he expertly guided us through the class. That was not the end of my experience I then had a massage with Jennifer and she was amazing. Michelle the owner is super hands on, has incredible staff and the overall experience I had reflected her, dedication, experience and focus on excellent client experience. Amazing experience here, the massage therapist was very professional. Relaxing atmosphere. There are many cool products sold here as well as lululemon apparel! It was very clean. The staff was very nice and very accommodating we booked a message one night at 6pm and got in the next day for noon! I would have loved to have more time to take one of the yoga classes they were offering.

IWA Spa exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of receiving couples massage by Alisha and Bob both RMTs. They were absolutely amazing, they took their time to understand our needs and we both left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. IWA leaves nothing out from the booking experience, to the personalized attention you receive upon arrival, to the lovely treats after your treatment we both really appreciated it. We will definitely return in the future!

My husband and I had a weekend get away to Blue Mountains and he surprised me with a couples pedicure, manicure and massage. This was such a great experience. The therapist were amazing and very attentive, the aestaticians were fabulous also. We were there for over three hours and were extremely happy with the friendly service of all the staff. The treatment rooms were very well put together as were the waiting and reception areas. At the end we were given a little gift bag with some massage oil, chocolates and a candle. A very nice touch. I would highly recommend this spa for anyone wanting a pampering.

I rarely get time away from my young babe, let alone time to pamper myself. Unfortunately the spa did not book the services I requested properly, resulting in a total let down of my time. The massage was ok but one of the weaker treatments I've had. One girl at the front desk was great and did what she could to remedy the situation. All other staff appeared disorganized...which would confirm why they booked my services incorrectly, or not at all. Get confirmation of the services you wish to book.

My husband and I had couples massages, and then did an hour of ganban. The massage was the best massage I've ever had. The ganban was a good experience, the heat felt so good and really kept the relaxation going after our massages. The service and Quality at Iwa spa was above all my expectations. From the soft slippers you put on when you enter the spa, the chocolate and tea to end your massage. Such a delight, we can't wait to go back!!

What an unbelievable experience this afternoon at iwa Spa Blue Mountain. The facial I had was amazing, relaxing and rejuvinating. It far exceeded my expectations and the service was excellent and the staff very professional. The products they used for my facial were chosen just for my skin type...and when I got home, my husband said...'wow...you look amazing'! Highly recommend.

I have been to the IWA spa several times with always having a wonderful experience. Only once the hot yoga group was so loud that my husband and I could not enjoy our experience in the stone room. So.....I have to say that many reviews quoted that your cancellation policy is unfair. I have been to several spas around the world and most have the same policy. I had a facial booked a couple of weeks ago and on the day of, I got a rash in my face due to what I thought was a reaction to a new med. IWA graciously wished me well and asked me to rebook when I felt better and did not charge me!. IWA care about their clients from my several experiences! Thank you Ann H.

I've been to this spa on more than one occasion and I must say that it has been a great addition to the Blue Mountain Village. From its Gan Ban hot rocks, amazing massages and it's fun and vibrant staff its a definite pit stop on your village getaway. Try a Massage and Gan Ban package you leave the spa like you're floating on a cloud! Not interested in spa services? Still check them out they have a great shopping area where I found the best scarf and Pom Pom hat!

Went as part of a bachelorette weekend. Our group had 9 ladies in it, one of whom was pregnant at the time. The staff accommodated our group with ease and kept everything running smoothly. The itinerary we were given for when and how long things would take was very accurate, ensuring that the rest of our day continued smoothly. VERY disappointed that IWA Spa does not require a COVID Vaccination Passport for guest entry, nor do they share the status of their staff (so assume that some are not vaccinated). Yes to mask wearing…….but their requirements are too lax given the rate of infection in Ontario. I had to cancel my massage.

Amazing facility! I have been to multiple spas and i have to say that Iwa was one of the most memorable. Between getting to have a glass of wine during my pedicure, to having the most hilarious and outgoing therapist, i was beyond relaxed. I WIll be going back.

My husband and I came in at 930 am on December 29th. We had an absolutely terrible experience. 1- fatphobic spa, my husband and I purchased the earth package, we were charged something like 129 dollars per person. We changed into these robes that came with bottoms, everyone there was wearing their robes. The woman gave me a size M and told me they are one size fits all. I'm a size 14/16 I had to come out and ask for a larger size in the bottoms.. she went and dug up a large.. I asked "do you have any bigger sizes than this, I need an XL at least" She said no, a large is their biggest size. This entire interaction happened In front my of my husband and the entire store, I was so embarrassed. Why isn't this spa size inclusive? I wanted to cry but I held in my tears and continued to try and enjoy the experience. 2- the lava rocks were supposed to be a one hour meditation. The woman who "helped us" put on a 30 minute meditation without informing us that this will loop twice ( we didn't know the guided meditation was only a 30 min track) when we were prompted it was over we thought we were done. I had to put my hot track pants on and go downstairs to find out we had another 30 minutes left.. it really caught us off guard and took the relaxation out of the whole experience. 3- My husband and I got pedicures. He originally didn't want to have nail polish on but the only way he were to get the bottle that's included with the pedicure he had to get his toe nails painted. If I wanted his nail polish I would have been charged extra without my husband getting a bottle of nail polish. So now he has sparkly toes. 4- at the end of the day I was given a voucher and I wanted to purchase a pair of leggings in the store and use the voucher toward the clothing item but there was absolutely nothing in my size, the largest size for leggings was a size 8. I believe this spa only wants thin people enjoying their services. 5- The woman who hung up our coats somehow broke my husband's coat zipper, we were supposed to go skating but didn't. I left in tears and my husband was so mad, we spent so much money at this place. We are so disappointed. We didn't go skating because my husband's coat was broken and I was so upset that a spa on a resort could make someone feel so excluded.

Tried booking an appointment online but wasn't sure how to make one for 2 people at the same time, so I decided to call. Called and was able to book our appointments through the girl over the phone...gave our names, email, credit card number, and asked if there was anything else that we needed to do or if we just show up then. Was told to show up 10 mins before our appointment, so we did just that. We were told we didn't have an appointment booked and they were not able to accommodate us. We planned our day around this trip to the spa and now the entire day has been ruined.

This place was fantastic. We got the couples package and although it seemed steep, we booked a weekday to enjoy it while it was quiet. The massage was excellent and the girls picked up on subtle reactions and instantly changed pressure accordingly . I could not have asked for a better time and more personable staff . Ps thanks for being part of my proposal plans :)

Absolutely amazing experience. My RMT Robin was the best masseuse I've ever had. She made me feel so comfortable, she was very kind and strong hands. Brena was great as well. She did my facial and I have not been that relaxed in years. Lazy boy chair, weighted blanket. Hand massages while my face mask was setting. Just above and beyond what I expected. I recommend this place to anyone looking to be spoiled! Thank you ladies!

My aunt suddenly passed away the night before my trip to Blue Mountain. I had to cancel my appointment at the spa the night before as well as my hotel reservation. The hotel was great and understood my circumstance. The spa was unsympathic and was all about the money loss they would endure. They STILL CHARGED ME, didn't care, and the owner didnt even have the courtesy to call me when I left a message to be called back. I undertand the concept of running a business but life has circumstances and sometimes we have to adjust our rules according to that circumstance. I realized their priority is money, and nothing but. I will never step foot in this spa and will make sure to tell all my friends and family the same.

Terrible customer service, reservation was mishandled and manager offered Prosecco over the phone for our couples massage, upon arrival we were not greeted, rushed into the massage room, no Prosecco, had 34 minute massages even though we paid for 50 minutes. Not even close to a ‘spa experience’, had to change in massage room, not lockers, weren’t given robes, basically felt like a massage I get at my chiropractor office but paid twice the price. Such a disappointment.

The absolute only option when in the Collingwood/ Blue Mountain area! Outstanding facility- gorgeous, clean, modern….just lovely! The staff make you feel as if you’re with old friends (who happen to also be extremely talented). The boutique is my new favourite place to shop- who knew I would get all my Christmas shopping done where I went to get a mani/pedi for the holidays! Can’t say enough. Have already booked my next appointments!

I’ve been to Iwa Spa many times since they opened and it has always been an amazing experience. As always the staff was friendly and my masseuse was phenomenal. The distancing measures were perfect and I was able to enjoy yoga on the hot rocks safely. I cannot wait until my next visit!

I started off in the Gan Ban volcanic rock therapy room, followed by a 50 minute massage with Robin. My massage was wonderful! Robin was very knowledgable and educated and walked me through the massage when needed. I felt like a million bucks after I was done at Iwa Spa. I could not get enough of the tea & chocolate that they have in the lounge as well. Will definitely return!!

Honestly had the worst experience here. Wouldn’t recommend booking because the staff are extremely unfriendly to clients that need accommodations. They had a very unprofessional manager during my stay. He was so rude and made me feel so uncomfortable because of it. When you’re paying $160 for a quality relaxation massage and suffer from an anxiety disorder we expect the right to be treated with respect and dignity. NEVER AGAIN!!!

It was an amazing experience! However I did find it a little hard to find via Google maps. Google maps indicated I had "arrived in the middle of the street" took me about 5 minutes worth of circling before I found it located at the end of the village, close to the Weston.

I took a yoga class here and it was so lovely!! We practiced outside on the dock, there was a gentle breeze, the view of the pond and the mountain, and birds singing--wow. The teacher was also knowledgeable and friendly. What a relaxing experience! ????

I had a very enjoyable experience at this spa. if getting an RMT be sure to ask for Bob! I have lots of issues with my upper back, shoulder, and neck area and not only did he address these issues during the massage he told me some home exercises i can do!
