I went to Sanctuary Spa on the advise of a friend who had been there several times. The service from the time I entered to the time I exited was superb. We were greeted and shown the lounge where we relaxed and had a drink. The esthetician was early and very professional for the entire service. I will definitely be returning to Sanctuary Spa :)

I go to Sanctuary Spa for pedicures, they do a great job with my toe nails and I also have very bad calluses which they do wonderful work with removing and smoothing my feet. On a side note I do wish they would offer free wi-fi for their clients.

What an incredible time! Everyone there really gives you that premium experience. Alicia did a great job with my massage and made me feel very comfortable as a first timer to the point I didn’t want to leave the spa. I was treated with utmost courtesy and professionalism from the receptionist to the RMT. I felt truly pampered and will definitely be back.

This was my 1st experience here. I get regular facials every 6 weeks. Today's service was quite rough rubbing the face cloth and rubbing eye makeup off with a wipe is not what I do at home and not what I expect from a spa the skin is too delicate. I called beforehand to ask what skincare line is used and was told it was all natural. The strong fragrance was overwhelming it caused a headache - the fragrance was not natural. Definitely overpriced at $130 since the service was technically only 45mins long (I arrived 10mins early).

Update: they said they would contact and didn’t! Don’t be fooled. Received a massage and facial and Was really disappointed in the massage. I gave her a specific area and pressure and instead of listening to the customer, she proceeded to tell me it was only a relaxation massage even though I just asked her to focus on a specific area. If I’m paying over $400 for a service I expect you to listen to me? Honestly, the facial was medicore but nothing to complain about. I suggest MassageAddict if you want a realllly good massage at a reasonable price and they actually listen to you. Over paid for an expierence and when I tried to customize my experience she refused because “she just didn’t feel like it” save your money guys :)

I’ve been going here one and off for years and I have to say, what keeps me coming back is my massage therapist, Cindy! She is the most professional, kind and intuitive person. I don’t even have to tell her where my pain is stemming from, she is able to find and fix it after every session. Cindy even wrote down helpful tips on what I can do to ease the stress spots for when I can’t make an appointment! That’s above and beyond for me. They also don’t pressure you into buying anything after a service, unlike most spas! And they offer receipts for insurance. I would give the place 5 stars if the atmosphere was a little more relaxing (I believe it’s the heater that’s really loud) but the staff here definitely makes up for it, they’re always happy to help. Thank you ladies!

I've been going to this location for 8 years now, and can't say enough good things about them! They have taken great strides to keep their customers safe and happy through these challenging times. Prior to the pandemic, their facility was clean as well. I go to this location for my massage therapy. I am continuously greeted with a warm caring smiling receptionist aka Mary and her team. These attributes in customer service are always like gold to me, especially now more than ever. If you are in need of an amazing RMT, I highly recommend Tim, Kevin or Cindy. All three use similar yet different techniques. You come out of your appointment feeling more limber, and zen. A receipt is provided to be refunded by your benefits company at the end of your visit. Keep up the great work everyone!

Excellent Day Spa! Took my daughter with a friend for her 16th birthday present. The girls really enjoyed themselves. Instead of waiting I booked a massage as well. I was really impressed. It's really difficult to find an RMT who does a massage in a tranquil relaxing spa like atmosphere. I've been to so many RMT's in gyms and wellness places where I felt like a chunk of meat at the butchers. This spa gives a very professional massage with the little touches like heating pads, soft lighting as well as music.... that make you feel more relaxed and pampered. Yes you can have it all and you should!

I absolutely love going to Sanctuary Day Spa for massages! Alicia always does an incredible job and makes me feel so comfortable and welcome. The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly as soon as you walk in the door. My most recent appointment left me feeling extra impressed with the COVID-19 policies around mask-wearing, sanitizing, and extra precautions surrounding cleanliness and social distancing. As someone who lives with chronic back pain and has seen several massage therapists over the years, I can honestly say that Sanctuary Day Spa has been my favourite place to go and that I always look forward to booking my appointments there.

Such a beautiful foyer and waiting area. I would have loved to visit before covid. I know they would have offered tea which would have been nice to enjoy in the waiting area. The treatment I received was amazing. I had the Mahalo Ritual which was very peaceful and calming. The esthetician was very nice and does a fabulous massage. The treatment room felt like it was lacking in beauty and decor. It was very small and just enough room for a massage table, a chair and a couple pieces of random equipment that were stored in there I guess. I give a 4 star because I wish the treatment room was as glamorous and fancy as the rest of the place

I had a lovely manicure done by Stacey. It was relaxing and very enjoyable. Stacey is a great esthetician, and knows her job. She is a wonderful person, and I highly recommend her and the Sanctuary Day Spa.

Very very very disappointed in the service at this spa. I booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. They "said" that called me to let me know that we would have to reschedule as one of the massage therapists had her full time job schedule change and wasn't able to come in. They "called" me on Friday to reschedule. I didn't have a message from them what so ever and second why wouldn't you try again when you didn't hear from me. We showed up to the massage and she was like oh you didn't get our message? I booked this massage over a month ago and you call me 2 days before to cancel? Thank you for ruining the day I had planned for my boyfriends birthday. I will never go to this place or recommend it!

I found the price for the pedicure was way overpriced comparing where I usually go and what is done at both places. I also was very uncomfortable with the setup for pedicures. Needing to climb 2 steep, narrow steps was not a good start. The bench you have to sit on is very shallow and is not at all comfortable. When I put my feet in the foot bath, my heels didn't even reach the bottom of the bowl. When the gal started my pedicure, my leg was stretched out straight in front of me, which for a 72 year old is not a comfortable way to sit. She did finally lower the foot rest which helped considerably. I had a tea which was very nice, but there is nowhere to put your cup. You have to sit and hold it till you're done. This setup is unlike any other place I have been for a pedicure. Normally there are nice comfy chairs with optional back massages and a comfortable way to stretch your legs out. I will not be returning or recommending Sanctuary. I had bought the gift card for my daughter for her birthday but since she was not able to use it, I did. I'm glad it was me. I would have been embarrassed for her to use it. She is almost 6 feet tall and she would have been very uncomfortable. Sorry for the review, but for someone who does pedicures every month or so, this was a huge disappointment and not worth the $80+ dollars...double what I normally pay for a much more enjoyable experience....

The Sanctuary Day Spa is everything you would expect from the name. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful. The waiting room is comfortable and supplied with fresh flavoured ice water and fruit. My appointment was on time and the therapist was very professional. I was so impressed that I booked another appointment before I left.

Always get an amazing massage from the RMT Chy, he knows what he is doing and you can tell he has lots of experience. Very professional and probably the best massage I ever had. I always leave feeling relaxed, and can notice the difference in my whole body especially my shoulder areas.

We enjoyed our day at the spa. Although we found that it was not mobility friendly, for people with leg/knee issues, it makes it very hard to access the pedicure chair. Tiffany was a delight and went above and beyond to make our visit a success. Also enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant.

My first impression was disappointing as there was a situation with booking the appointment. My friend & I had booked & planned on catching up over lunch & pedicures, however there was a problem somehow that prevented us from being together & we received our pedicures in separate rooms. When we came to the spa the reception services were apologetic and exceptional, the spa services were excellent. The receptionist apologized for the confusion and left us with a special gesture to show her gratitude. I would definitely return to this spa & would highly recommend it to others. I have been to several spas in the k/w area and would consider Sanctuary Day Spa one of the best.

**UPDATE (in response to "owners" response): owner cowardly responds to google review within a couple hours of my review instead of picking up the phone and dealing with concerns personally. Avoids addressing actual issues brought up and instead states "we appreciate your frustration", "we will take the time to review your feedback as a team at our upcoming staff meeting". HOW DOES THIS HELP ME? 1. How do you "appreciate" my "frustration"? How about attempting to RECTIFY my frustration? Finding solutions together? Send a GC to my mailing address, apologize for your lack of communication, etc. Take action, and realize that repeat business & client referrals can be your number 1 lead generator!** I would have rated "0" stars if possible as I have had 3 consecutive poor experiences here. First time, I was 8 months pregnant in the winter receiving massages every two weeks for back issues when I was charged for cancelling my appointment the previous day (for bad weather). So the next time I had a massage booked and the winter weather was terrible, I made the trek in only to be told "Sorry, your RMT didn't make it in because of the weather". So, to make it clear, I was charged for not making it in due to weather condiditons (8 months pregnant with a bad back), but when their staff couldn't make it due to weather conditions (that I made it in for so I wouldn't be be charged again), it was okay. I wasn't called, nor was given any sort of compensation. I was annoyed, but gave it another chance after my baby was born. Second time, I had a 6 week old and booked an appointment for myself and my sister each for mani/pedis over the phone. (I should note, that I did mention that I would be bringing my baby in with me as she is breastfed). I was so looking forward to this appointment as I had just recovered from a c-section and it took a lot to get out of the house with a baby after recovering from major surgery. When we arrived, the receptionist noticed the baby and said "oh, you have to leave, babies can't be here". And just like that we were escorted out with no apology, inquiry into our situation or compensation. I was so frustrated and felt discriminated against, coming to the conclusion that mothers who breastfeed cannot have their nails done here. I should also note, that I immediately called another local spa and they were able to welcome me and my baby in for a mani/pedi with open arms as well as booked us in a private room. Third (and last attempt) was when I had two babies under two and decided to treat myself to a much needed mani/pedi. I called and booked and the receptionist was sure to tell me about their cancellation policy and that I would be charged if I cancelled within 24 hours. Four hours prior to my appointment the receptionists called me (I thought it would be an appointment reminder call) to tell me that my aesthetician just had called in sick and they had to cancel my appointment. Again, no compensation or offer to cover or discount at another time. I shouldn't have ever called to try to book with this spa a second or even third time but the location is close to me and anyone with babies knows how precious time is. In conclusion, my experiences have shown me that this spa is about them and their bottom line (which I realized is a business), with no care about how they are treating their clients who are spending top dollar so their business can stay open. It is a double standard, they can cancel your appointment within the 24 hours and not offer anything in return for your time, but you cannot cancel your appointment or you will be charged. Seems quite backwards to me! And to boot, the communication/follow up on their part is non-existent. They provide excuses, not solutions. I will also note that this feedback has been given to (as well as my name and number) to the spa receptionists as well as manager. I have never been contacted with an apology or other for compensation. Only been told (when I called), that babies aren't allowed due to "insurance reasons". Unbelievable.

Booked the couples package with my husband, and we both couldn’t have been happier with our experience. Booking was very easy, front desk was very helpful and all the staff we came across were very kind. We had Emma and Ginger for our treatments, and would rebook with them again. I had Emma for my treatments, and she was phenomenal- I would highly recommend asking for her when you book. I’ve visited spas all across Ontario, and cannot wait to return to Sanctuary!

Very nice spa...often able to get short notice massage appts which is very rare. I never bother requesting a particular masseuse as I've never had a bad massage here. In fact I have often come in with physical ailments and have always come away with great information as well as having my ailment dealt with!
