I have tried both massage and acupuncture with Massage Addict and overall have good impression on the quality of their services. My first experience was with Charles and he is truly a caring massage therapist. The session was relaxing. Currently I'm treating my upper neck and back problem using acupuncture with Yong W and it has been an interesting experience for me with all the diagnosis and the cupping technique etc. I'm looking forward to see the positive effect on my health.

I had my first ever therapeutic massage at this location and it was a wonderful experience. My RMT was Alicia and she was very pleasant and great to deal with, not to mention the amazing & relaxing massage she gave me! Darlene, the sweet lady at the front desk was also a pleasure to deal with! Very welcoming and friendly. The location itself is very clean and inviting. I already pre booked my next appointment and I plan on coming to this location once a month from now on!! I strongly encourage everyone to book a massage here, trust me, you will get addicted (no pun intended haha).

Darlene is absolutely wonderful and I think half the google reviews here are just about her which is astonishing because she's not even a RMT. Owner should consider giving her a raise. Today I had my first ever massage. The experience was exactly what I hoped it would be. After reading through the bios provided on the Massage Addict site, I chose Caitlin. They required little direction from me aside from a health history form I had filled out prior to my appointment, and of course, we discussed my major complaint- knots in my neck, and shoulder blades. The atmosphere, and Caitlin's energy were extremely relaxing and reassuring, not to mention, the physical pressure they employed was perfect! I am very much looking forward to my next appointment. I have been a client of massage addict for many years and have just moved down to this one in the last year. The staff is fantastic and I've always pretty much had a great massage experience. I noticed the last time I was in the face cloths that are in the washroom to be used to dry your hands look really dingy. Perhaps they should swap back to paper towels. Also I'm happy that they're washing the sheets but yesterday when I got on the table they were still damp and not warm and I mean yes they do warm up with your body temperature but it's still a uncomfortable feeling getting on clammy sheets. When I got off I noticed that they were also well worn. Maybe time for a linen refresh.

I have been a patient in this clinic for both massage and acupuncture. I have always had a great experience with the services here. They promptly bill to my insurance and the staff is very personable and willing to help answer any questions or concerns. I suffer from chronic migraines and body pain and see one of their acupuncturists, Krisztina B. I have had the most effective outcome from Krisztina’s treatment plan and have a lot of trust and appreciation for the work she has done to help me. She has taken the time to work with me to find a treatment plan that works well for me by listening and recommending various methods by which to improve my quality of life. It has been very effective in preventing migraines as well as other bodily dysfunctions I struggle with. I highly recommend this clinic especially for acupuncture. The RMTs practicing massage there are great, too!

I went for a prenatal massage today with Jeremy. It was a wonderful experience. He was incredibly knowledgable and tuned into the treatment. It was the perfect balance of relaxing in quiet and also checking in to see if there was anything I'd like changed. He treated my TMJ which I've had for years and can be painful or easily triggered if over done - it was perfect. He kindly reminded me to breathe (I have a lot of trouble relaxing) which I definitely needed to optimize the treatment. All around super caring and friendly energy while allowing you to relax and get a top technique treatment. Looking forward to my next my next massage, I highly recommend!

Amazing! I messed my hip up while stretching (you know you're getting old when...) and was in severe pain all day. I was lucky enough to get in to see Paul for a massage the same day and he saved me! I start getting my massages on this place since November of 2017, started with Dave, who is an excellent massage therapist, service was great by this time, the girl at the FD was nice with a good service and I got the membership with them for the year. I went with my benefits card and they did all the process to withdraw with my insurance company by this time, was amazing!!.. On June of this 2018 I started my massages with Ram, which is another amazing massage therapist, I will highly recommend him! But the staff at the front desk was not friendly anymore, they really lower their guest services with the guest even when you have a membership, of course this does not apply to the massage therapist. When you have the membership, to get the membership rates, you have to at least get one massage per month. Since I start my membership I never receive emails that will remind you when is the due date of this massage, and if you do not have track of your own massages you will get charge. On July they start sending the emails, which was a very good update of their system, and once they charge me for not getting the massage on time without sending me an email, I had to contact them and deal with it in order to process it back. Problem solved by the moment. When I tried to use back my benefits card on the last three massages and they always has a different excuse to not use them. The last time there was a problem with it and they were extremely rude at the front desk and not able to help me with it, even when my insurance company allowed them to help they for some reason refuse to do the exactly same thing that they did when I started to get my massages here and I got my membership. The customer service was the worst one that I experience in my life, and it was the owner with the manager dealing with it and to be honest was something extremely disappointing because they have excellent massage therapist but the worst customer service. I will not recommend this place at all if you are looking to relax and enjoy your massage because you will be stressed about how bad their customer service and their lack of help once you get what they want that is the membership. Definitely terrible!!!!

Great service! Unlike other massage facilities, this facility shall claim the insurance coverage directly from the insurer; all you have to pay is the difference left out by the coverage. The experience was very calm, peaceful and very professional. Nicole was my massage therapist and she did a wonderful job; I have requested for deep tissue massage. She did successfully explored my body and unwound my muscles that were tightened by my daily routine; I could sense my body being relaxed right after the massage. Great job, keep it up.

My experience at this Massage Addict location was absolutely fantastic. The massage itself really helped my localized pain/physiological issues. The front desk maintained great communication with me and confirmed my appointments the day before each time, and the general vibe and demeanor of all the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. 11/10 experience.

Enough Is Enough

Out of the 25+ massages I have had this was by far the worst. I got to my hour appointment 10 minutes early only to wait until 5 minutes after my massage to get called in. Once I did, Melissa made sure to take as much time as possible to ask questions. She finally started the massage 15 mins into my appointment and made sure to stop the moment the 'hour' was up. She continued to waste as much time as possible during the massage as well. After I was finished the front desk girl asked me how it was. I said 'not great' and all she said was 'oh ok. have a good day'. Needless to say I will not be going back. And if you like deep tissue massages make sure to stay away from Melissa.

The massage was good, but my room shared a wall with the dish pit of the Sunset Grill. That’s all I could hear the entire hour. Not very relaxing unfortunately. The therapist apologized several times, and I realize that’s not their fault, but I suggest they install some sort of soundproofing to the affected rooms. I would not recommend booking at this location before 3pm.

Probably my last time coming here, I always went somewhere else but switched to here because it's SO close to my house... Nah I'll make the drive across town from now on. My sample size is 5 massages with three different RMTs and on 4 of those occasions I wasn't brought in until about 5 minutes past my massage scheduled time, then after the getting on the table and waiting for the RMT to come back to actually start we're already 10 minutes past... This would be a non issue if the massage then went late to make up the time but nope as soon as the clock hits the hour... BAM it's time to leave... Calling them "60 minute therapeutic massages" is legitimately false from what I've seen too many times It's not all bad, the massages themselves are usually 'ok' once they actually get going (with the exception of today's appt which I did not enjoy AT ALL) but it doesn't make up for how consistently I've gotten short changed Other places are fully covered by my benefits and Massage Addict actually makes me pay about 10 bucks because they're more expensive too.... While I wouldn't call this place a total disaster, going somewhere else instead seems like a no brainer to me

Nicole and Charles are wonderful massage therapists. They addressed the soreness in my gastrocnemius and pectoralis muscles from weight training. They also gave me helpful stretching routines for me to implement at home to improve these regions. Darlene has been incredibly helpful at the front making sure everything is in order. Chrystine was amazing...I am a massage therapist in Michigan. I also do alot of deep tissue massage and have a difficult time finding a massage therapist who understands deep tissue and how to perform a massage of that nature. All I wanted on my vacation was to relax and have a great massage. It was not an easy task, the massage places in the heart of Niagara Falls want a ridiculous amount of money for a massage with no pressure. How lucky I was to stumble on to Massage Addict and have the pleasure of a massage with Chrystine..... And it was only a few minutes drive from my hotel!!!! I highly recommend Chrystine to all that come to Niagara Falls, whether they live close by or hundreds of miles away and are in vacation. I felt like a million bucks after I got off her table. Way to rock an awesome massage Chrystine!

Really impressed with the hardworking kind folks at The Massage Addict here in Niagara Falls. My dad found this place online looking for relief for the both of us, I have always struggled with posture issues and worked physically demanding jobs, as well as some of my hobbies involving heavy lifting. As someone who struggles with anxiety and insecurities, I was a little nervous on my first visit; almost to the point that I didn't want to go. I'm really glad I did, I didn't know how badly I needed this. It's really made a difference as far as overall comfort and pain. I'm only 2 visits in but every time I leave feeling loose, relaxed and relieved. I am extremely grateful for the effort the staff put into this, they make you super comfortable and relaxed, which is only a small part of the overall exceptional service they provide. I forget the person who gave me my first massage ( her name starts with an A? I think there's 2 ladies that have names that start with A ) but she was awesome. I was speechless and felt a massive difference all week after in terms of overall comfort and reduction in pain around my shoulders. I am sure that all the people there are great, my dad was really impressed and said the same thing. I decided to try their chiropractor based on the things I've seen online and years of wanting to get one, Dr. Aaron is attentive, thorough and really good at what he does. I really can't thank you guys enough, everyone from the receptionists to the people who work their butts off to make sure you get relief and enjoy your experience are simply amazing. Words can't describe .. I almost get tears of joy when I think about the level of kindness and respect these people have and their passion for helping people. I really really hope they are treated well and fairly, they are a true asset to this company. They deserve just as good of a massage/therapeutic service as the very same customers they serve. They work very hard , on their feet all day to make sure other's feel amazing. It takes a caring, compassionate person to do this work. Greeted with a smile from Darlene upon entering who helped me get familiar with what I would would expect, then Charles, the RMT was super helpful to prepare me for my first appointment. He did a wonderful job and I left relaxed and the pain in my shoulder that I was experiencing before coming was virtually gone. He went over some specific stretches and exercises I could do from home to continue to have it feel better as well. I went in for an hour of reflexology with Claudine as my therapist. The good: Claudine has warm hands, the facility is clean, the treatment room was nice with standard massage bed. Treatment itself: consisted mostly of pinching all over the foot with thumb and fore finger with some rubbing and few other techniques. She didn't talk me through the treatment..as in which area activates which part the CNS, etc. Aiding tools like stone were not used. I was given a little cup of cold water on my way out (but I've been in facilities that serve hot green tea after a massage). The bad: pior to the start of treatment, she spent quite some time talking about the intake form (tingling in wrist due to past surgery) and reccomending stretches unrelated to the reflexology treatment. The hour session is expensive, I'm paying for the service not to chat about stretches unrelated to the the treatment. When she asked about the pressure being sufficient, I replied you may increase it, she flat out refused saying she doesn't need to apply much to activate the CNS. So I'm not sure why she bothered to ask. At the end of the treatment I wasn't even given the sheet with stretches for the hand that I was promised in the beginning. Overall, I wouldn't recommend and will not return for another service.

Renee was my RMT and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and I felt so relaxed after my massage. I've had such a wonderful time ever here. I was a bit nervous as it is my very first time experiencing a professional massage. However, every step, from booking to massage, is easy to understand and well organized. It's because starting with Darlene, who helped me with the process, the kindest and sweetest person I've ever met. Not only her professional attitude but her voice and way of speaking are making me relaxed even before I have a massage. If possible, I would like to make the voice mail that she left as my lullaby. ;-) I had a 60-minute massage session with Charles, and my issue is almost resolved even though it's the first time! I had been suffering from my Tennis Elbow Pain since the beginning of this month, and it kept bugging me especially at night. But after the session with Charles, I finally could get a nice sleep. Started out as a wonderful place...great service, atmosphere, and excellent RMTS. I used to recommend to many clients and family members. Things have changed drastically. Unfortunately the owner was working the front desk when I arrived for an appointment. He was extremely rude, did not set up for the hot stone massage and so when I showed up told me the RMT is unable to do it. I was shocked that he would throw his employee under the bus like that and not even apologize for not providing the service I booked the appointment for. I crossed paths with the owner again at another location and he refused to give me the promotional value for the appointment because my usual location was on Dougall and he didn't have my file. Now the prices have gone up significantly, the availability has reduced significantly, and the service has decreased significantly. The RMTS as far as I can tell are still doing a great job but I do not think they are being supported or treated with respect. I was given less then 24hrs notice that they were cancelling my appointment and so I asked what the options were and they said I could have an appointment with another massage therapist 5 hours later. I asked for information or the therapists name and they said there was no bio online and could not pronounce the therapists name. I said that I was not comfortable paying a premium rate for a new RMT that they couldn't give me any information on. The response was, so you're cancelling your appointment? This is the second cancelled appointment in the past 3 months. As someone who works in Healthcare, customer service, and has a client base, I am gravely disappointed with the way Massage Addict is doing business. I will not return and will be passing this poor experience on to the many people I've referred.

Chris applied the exact pressure I asked for, constantly checked in to make sure I was okay and really helped my muscles release so they can recover. Friendly, professional and excellent at his job. It is impossible to get an appointment. I book months in advance, as suggested by them, and then the appointments are frequently canceled a few weeks prior, when it is nearly impossible to book another appointment. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who appreciates consistency and the ability to be able to actually book in advance and have your appointment honoured.

I have attended Massage Addict twice now and have nothing but positive things to say!! Darlene was absolutely lovely to speak to and was incredibly helpful with providing information about memberships and booking follow up appointments. She was also so thoughtful and followed up with me via email after all my appointments to make sure all was well! Thus far I've had two sessions with Yong, the acupuncturist, and have been very impressed! He was incredibly knowledgeable with his recommendations and explanations. Plus, he was able to provide service in both English and Mandarin which was lovely. I'll definitely be going back again soon! :)

For several weeks I was trying to book a surprise birthday therapeutic massage for my daughter for her 18th birthday. Because this would be her first professional massage I wanted it to be special. Everywhere was booked and it was difficult finding a female massage therapist (my preference) for my daughter. I spoke with Darlene who was so accommodating and super friendly on the phone every time I called looking for last minute cancellations. Finally...someone had cancelled and right away Darlene contacted me and I accepted the appointment. Now on to the massage....My daughter was so surprised when I took her there that morning. All of the safety and health protocols were followed and of course we cannot forget to mention her massage therapist Nicole who did an amazing job. My daughter said "Mom it was so relaxing I fell asleep, I didn't want it to end" The gentlemen at the reception was also super friendly and we chatted when I had returned to pick up my daughter. They even gave her a gift for her birthday! And her massage therapist gave her a few notes with instructions about some exercise that she can do at home. I just want to say thank you to the entire staff at Massage Addict Uptown Waterloo and continue to be awesome and exceeding your customers expectations.

Lady at front desk was communicating with her co worker by typing on the computer and other girl reading what she is writing. They would laugh and joke at me. I'm not stupid. Never coming back to this place. Plus they don't do the full hour massage like they advertise.

I'm very sorry, It's not me to give harsh reviews at all. But i'm in pain. I can't recall the name of the male who gave me my massage but it wasn't even a deep tissue massage, I like those and I know that tender feeling you might get after one of those, or even tender the next day. but my neck hurts to look up, turn left or right. I go for massages once per month, and his technique ..I didn't even feel like I was being massaged, he wasn't going over the muscles and barely applying pressure, he was going close to my muscles but was missing them oddly enough, this is a first for me, it';s not something you would expect from a massage therapist. and my neck, it was not massaged, he was moving the right side of my neck with both hands going to the right and moving it is different directions to the right side for 10 mins! then dong the same on the left, it didn't feel good, it didn't feel relaxing it was starting to irritate my neck. i got up and i kid you not, It hurt to turn my head. I blew my money and will be in discomfort for who knows how long.

I have had the pleasure of going to this Massage Addict a few times now. Communication and professionalism is unmatched. I see Kaitlyn and it is the best massage I have ever had. Attention to the client and their lifestyle to help treat is awesome, friendliness is also a strong asset she excels at. Your experience starts with Darlene and I can't say enough. Our conversations are always great, she has an attention to detail and it's like she knows my schedule is crazy so the reminder emails are a huge plus for my busy schedule. This Location is by far the best in Waterloo Region.
