The St. Catharines location is always clean and the staff are friendly. Tidy Up Tuesdays is such a great deal (half price on bikini waxes). I have tried many different services at Sugar and Spice and have never had a bad service. I also love the super easy to use option of making your own appointment online. Would recommend this spa to anyone.

It's too bad I only found out about this place a couple weeks ago - a top notch spa with great massage therapists! The staff is so friendly and knowledgable I recommend this place highly - not just for women either!

Overpriced mani with shellac $48.50 , or should I say shellac application. My nails were filed for 30 sec, buffed with the file, and shellac applied with a 2.5 min hand massage. I came here with the expectation of paying a bit more for way better service than "the nail salon at every corner" what I got was the same thing but English speaking. This was mediocre at best. Oh, and dead and wilting plants in the spa area - doesn't exactly say. Alive, hydrate, wellness or worthy If you want to spend this kind of $$$ go to white oaks, at least they fake it better, and make you feel like you actually spent on yourself. I read some of the previous reviews and just by the fact there has no public attempt to address some of their valuable customers concerns. It's clear their bottom line is profit, not people and planet. Sadly

I’ve been coming here for various treatments for quite awhile, and have never been disappointed. Everything from laser hair removal (you wouldn’t believe how easy and amazing that is), to a replenishing hot stone massage – they do it all with professionalism in a calm and quiet environment. If you’ve never treated yourself, you definitely should!

Myself and two girlfriends went for a mani and a pedi in January 2015. We paid over $100.00 each plus tip and all our polish started peeling off within 24 hours. I contacted the spa manager the next business day and she was not in so left a message. She never called me back. I received an automatically generated email from Sugar and Spice asking how I enjoyed my visit and in the response I outlined my disappointment. I never had anyone email me back or contact me by phone. I would not recommend this place at all!!!

I arrived for my 10:45 appointment at 10:40. I was told to wait and at 11:06, I had still not been taken in. I went to the front to the receptionist to ask if there was a problem. She said that my appointment was for 11:00 not 10:45. I told her I had confirmed the 10:45 appointment the previous day. She told me I was incorrect and invited me to leave. At that point, the esthetician came to get me...it was 11:10, ten minutes past the time the receptionist said was my appointment, half hour past the time I beleived my appointment was to start. There was no apology, no "I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding"...nothing. Just a second invitation for me to leave. I stated that I was a long time client of the salon and I was extremely frustrated and I left. I do not feel this is an appropriate way to treat a client. I will never return to this spa. And just to clarify, I have included screen shots of the confirmation emails wherein I confirmed my 10:45 appointment. They wasted a half hour of my time with no courteous explanation.

Amazing. I've gone to sugar and spice spa twice now (once for a mani pedi, once for a neck shoulder and head massage)-- I left both times feeling satisfied and relaxed. I highly recommend treating yourself at sugar and spice spa.

They offer amazing spa treatments and their laser hair removal is very nicely priced. Would recommend to anyone looking to escape normality for a bit and feel pampered to the heavens. Keep it up!

Two stars because the massage was great. I got a 60 minute massage as a gift. Arrived 15 mins before the appt and the lady started 20 mins late and finished when the appt was supposed to end even though they started late.. Ended up receiving a 35 min massage instead of 60...Very disappointed !

Visited Sugar and Spice for an eye lash tint, end up leaving with an eye infection that lasted 3 weeks. More like sugar and STYE. People are nice, unfortunately that this happened.. beware.

I had a lovely time getting a couples mani-pedi with my boyfriend here. He frequently gets his beard sugared here so we already knew that service and quality was amazing. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. They made us tea while doing the pedicures! The place is well divided between services and very welcoming.

The spa tried to not honour a gift card purchased during Covid. This visit was in November. Our pedicures were good and enjoyable, but when I went to leave and use the credit on my account the reception said they could not find my account. I had received the gift card as a gift and Elite had provided a print out stating the following "This amount has been placed onto your account under your name" with no reference number. I couldn't use the gift card for months due to Covid and work. They said I had no account and implied that we would be taking money from them if they honoured it. They tried to strong arm us into paying for the pedicure and would not let us leave. Eventually it was sorted out with a great deal of effort on our part. The front desk was very rude and I will not return. This would be a 1-star review if not for our lovely pedicurists.

Today I had my first experience with sugaring with Jessie. Uncertain of what to expect she was able to explain and reassure me making for a very pleasant experience. Jessie was very kind, professional and a pleasure to speak with. I will absolutely be back! Oh and a shout out to the sweetest receptionist! Such a great group of professionals at Sugar and Spice :)

I would 100% recommend this location for a mani or pedi but would not recommend them at all for sugaring. 1- hair removal appointments never start on time 2- this is the second instance where I’ve driven across town only to be disappointed 3-The website doesn’t allow you to choose between sugar or wax when booking your appointment and not all staff are trained in sugaring. The first time I went for a sugaring appointment, the staff was 20 mins late and I had to go back to work. Today, the staff member wasn’t trained in using sugar. The only option provided to me was to wait (while on my lunch break!). I was never asked to reschedule and received a “meh, oh, well” response. Mani/pedis here are great - the staff (book with Kateryna!) clearly enjoying working in this domain, the tools are clean and the work is incomparable. Would have rated higher if it was the only area they worked in. I’m disappointed that I can’t go to this spa for everything.

I really liked this place until they messed up my brows. What bothered me was that after I expressed I my dissatisfaction in the salon, they still made me pay for the botched service, instead offering to "fix" it. The fix was even worse! When I later wrote to express my dissatisfaction, the person who performed the "fix" called to apologize and explain they did what they thought was right. There was no attempt to try and keep me as a customer. There was no indicator that the managers of the salon even we're aware of the issue. I was attending here for my nails, waxing, brows and more. I have cancelled all future appointments. Bottom line, this place cares more about money than keeping happy, satisfied customers.

I have had several pedicures over the years and I am always pleased with the experience. I find the Polish and the benefits lasts longer than the Asian salons. I have also had lashes done. Although they are a little more pricey than other lash venues, I have never had the problems that I hear of others having at other spas. I had a hot stone massage from Allison Raines. It was amazing! All the staff are friendly and helpful. Very relaxing atmosphere. I always recommend this to friends and family.

Great little spa with wonderful staff. The spa is cozy and most importantly clean! It is also very affordable and they have promotions every month, which makes it easier to treat yourself. Tidy Tuesdays are great if you're looking for a bit of maintenance at a great price.

Loved my experience at sugar & spice spa in St. Catharines. Absolutely love the promotion for "tidy up tuesdays", such a great price and the staff is very polite and friendly. I have gone to Kristina twice now for bikini sugaring and she does a great job, is very friendly and easy to talk too, and I do love how quick and efficient the appointments are as well. My appointments have always started on schedule and finished early so far which is great!! Highly recommend this spa and Kristina as well !

My daughter & I enjoyed our pedicures last Saturday until we went to check out & the rude front desk staff tried to dodge honouring my daughter's $70 gift card purchased by her aunt in BC in Dec./20. Despite being told by the Spa at the time of purchase that my daughter's name & phone # would be kept on file digitially along with the gift card details, the Spa staff informed us that it had changed its accounting/booking system in 2021 & therefore could find no record of the gift card purchase. Fortunately, the aunt in BC was able to locate her receipt, & the matter finally got sorted out, but not before the Spa's rude & condescending front desk staff had cast us as liars & scam artists. Oddly, I was a repeat customer on this recent visit who had used my similarly gifted $70 gift card back in July/21 without incident. Based on our experience, the Spa would be wise to train their front desk staff in proper & polite customer service; furthermore, the Spa should not put the onus on its customers to compensate for the shortcomings in its records keeping. We will be taking our business elsewhere, this despite the two pedicurists who treated us being lovely gals.
