Yet another business with gender biased pricing. I have been here on a few occasions and the stylist Marie would garner my giving this salon a 3 overall, if solely basing my review on her abilities as a hair stylist. I don't know what is supposedly so difficult for a hair stylist (as opposed to a barber) to properly shave someone's head to a rather short length. They use the same tools, it's common sense ... follow the contours of the head utilizing the same pressure and ... done! I could do it myself if it weren't for a medical condition that causes my hands/arms to shake badly. FORTUNATELY, I have very recently found a fantastic barber who charges $14 for Adults (NOT a higher price for women) and, even giving him a $6 tip ... I still paid $10 less than the ridiculous price for getting my head shaved here (the price here did include a tip of only $5 at that). Not only that but, he was done in less than half the time that Marie takes ... that's not even taking into account the fact that she was texting on her cell throughout my last appointment which I found to be totally unprofessional and quite annoying. No, I haven't been here in quite some time. No, I never went here often. But ... you have certainly lost a client. You certainly won't get any word of mouth business from me. Quite the opposite, I would absolutely NOT recommend this business.

Had my wedding pedicure done at Pettigrew last week and Donna was FANTASTIC! She took so much care in making sure they were perfect then when I went and nicked my little toe the minute I sat down she touched it up right in the lobby to make sure I had perfect toes for my wedding! I have been going here for awhile getting my hair cut and Kim you are fantastic.Kim used to work as a stylist in the mall and she is by far a great stylist She listens to what you want. That's why I followed her from her previous employer to pettigrew. I recommend this place to anyone. The whole staff is pleasent and accommodating once you walk through the door. SO ALL YOU TROLLER/HATERS OUT THERE GET A LIFE AND LEAVE SMALL BUSINESSES ALONE. THERE NOT THE PROBLEM YOU ARE THE PROBLEM WITH YOUR OWN ISSUES.GO SEE FOE YOURSELVES YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AND PRICING .

Edited- 4 star I had previously given Pettigrew a 2 star rating as I was unsatisfied with services received and the way my complaint was handled. After some email trouble and back and fourth with the owner, the services were redone to Pettigrew standards. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns with staff and making this situation right. Original Review- 2 star I've been to Pettigrew many times in the past and always had a great experience, clean/friendly atmosphere and professional people. However I took a friend as a birthday gift in mid October and was very disappointed with the services received..... I could have done the same services at home, saved $200+ and achieved the same results. I also found there was some mistakes with our booking and the estheticians were not overly professional, just wasn't up to the Pettigrew standards I once knew. I reached out to them a week after my service to let them know I was unsatisfied and I feel like I got the brush off. Not sure I will recommend Pettigrew in the future.

Pettigrew Spa is wonderful! The owners, Blaine and Donna, and the rest of the employees are very friendly and helpful! Their spa is very clean and aesthetically pleasing! They offer a wide variety of services (e.g. massages, hair, make-up, facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures, reiki, etc.). I really enjoy each and every visit!

I really appreciated how flexible Heather was to my needs. I discussed with her my need for both wellness coaching and reiki, and she was very accommodating and creative in planning our sessions. She offered practical advice, wellness solutions and reminded me with texts and emails the things we discussed. She was helpful and insightful, as well as relatable to my issues. Marie is my stlyst and I love going to see her. I'm very picky with my hair and don't just go to anyone. There was one time I didn't get the right style I wanted (due to me not knowing the name of the style) she got me in the next day and it looked great. I see Kelsey for massages and recommend her to everyone! I have never had a bad experience here and find the prices reasonable. Will be going again soon.

My daughter and I both have gone here to transform our hair from dark to light and it was able to be done in one sitting! No damage done to our hair. It was the best service ever! The lady was great, polite, professional and the price couldn't be beat (and if it can it's not worth going somewhere else!) Highly recommend going to see the staff at Pettigrew Spa! Each and every individual there is always happy and so kind!

I had a facial done yesterday as a birthday present from my sister. Now I have had facials before and I've even had one done here mind you it was years ago but this one was very hillbilly. to pay 100 for a face wash and blackhead squeeze is ridiculous, She was scraping her creams out of the bottom of the jars with long fingernails and then putting on my face which is disgusting . When it was done I even had a gob of it on my nose, and yes I can rub cream on my face myself but that really not the point, very unprofessional and should stick to doing facials in her home

I had my first experience with Pettigrew Spa and I can say that I am very satisfied with the services that I received. The front desk staff is very welcoming as well as all other staff. I received a full head perm from Karissa and am very pleased with the results, she took her time and was very knowledgable about perms. I highly recommend Karissa for those looking to get a perm done :)

This was an amazing day with a full massage, facial and pedicure! Really loved it, perfect pressure on the massage, nice, clean salon with friendly staff. Really only held out on the 5th star because we weren't told about being able to park in the adjacent lot before arriving and an overly bubbly greeter (maybe that's just me). Other than that it was truly perfect.

Yes Jenna is wonderful but the other young lady who did my wax last week was awful. I don't know if I was burned or just had a few layers of skin torn off, but after 7 days I am just now able to walk without pain. I understand that they may have inexperienced people at times but I have called to try to speak to an owner/manager several times over the past week and I am always told that they are "in a treatment" and will return my call. I have received no return call. This is very poor service and I now intend to make sure that everyone I know is warned to stay away from this place unless they are guaranteed treatment by Jenna. And even at that, such poor customer service from the people in charge is a huge concern.

I love Pettigrew! The staff are so unbelievably kind and make you feel very comfortable from the minute you arrive. I go here for bikini waxes, and I really recommend this spa to anyone who wants to try waxing for the first time! It’s a very relaxing and comfortable environment, and the staff are very professional!

I have been to this spa quite a few times and have always enjoyed different services but after not being for sometime I hate to say that from what I experienced there recently it was nowhere up to spa standards in any way. I booked a facial, I have had plenty in the past and I am familiar as to what it endures, my facialist was either not a real licensed esthetician or she was specialized in another Dept and filling in. First off sheets and pillow on bed were dirty and covered in blonde hair, no skin anaylisis done, no tools or mirrors or lighting used at all, no steaming, no extractions done at all, I have clogged pores & even requested it, the facialist was maybe in the room with me a total of 7 minutes of the hour it says, no exaggeration. The facial costs $85 plus tax, plus tip so it's well over a hundred dollars and it consisted of one mask & her leaving the room for 15 minutes then another one on top and her leaving the room again and it was over..it was maybe 25 minutes total, no cleaning, no exfoliating, no massage, also the towel or should I say dirty rag that was used to wipe off the mask was rough and smelt terrible like not washed right bad ... I was blown away but I didn't say anything because the one thing I do love about this place is the staff are a bunch of friendly lovely girls , when I got to the desk to pay the two ladies were so nice I didn't want to complain, yes I should have as they should know about the unsanitary practices going on and how there facial is not really a facial at all. Needless to say I can no longer recommend this place. The icing on the cake is I woke up and my face is burning with red dried inflamed bumps so it reacted very badly to the mask, this has never happened to me before with anything , again lady performing facial obviously not trained in any kind of skincare education. I do want to say that I have had pedicures, massages and my hair done there in the past and it was great.

Everyone was extremely helpful and amazing! I have a newborn and they are all super accommodating for breast feeding so even just a fussy child during my appointment! Definetly going to keep going back and would absolutely recommend!!

I have been going to Jenna Pettigrew for waxing services for years. Intermittently throughout those years I lived in other cities where I tried many other waxing estheticians - no one compares to Jenna. She is quick and painless. I have never had a bad experience. In short - she knows what she is doing!!!

Blaine Pettigrew is a master massage therapist and I would recommend him to everyone. Donna Pettigrew is a superb esthetician and extremely knowledgeable in her field. The hairdressers are great and the estheticians that look after my manicures are also well-trained and very friendly. I would highly recommend this establishment to all who are looking for a great experience at a Day Spa.

My hubby and I attended Pettigrew for a couples massage to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The inside of the spa is quite welcoming and lovely. Staff seemed friendly. We have had couples massages in several other spas but were left feeling underwhelmed here. When I think of a couples massage I think of a room with sort of a romantic feel (lowered lights, soft music, aroma therapy etc...) our massage was in a brightly lit room with two folks were ready to chat about hockey, the weather..... Not that they weren’t nice enough, it’s just not what I had in mind when I booked. Also we booked an hour and the masseuse spent the whole 60 mins on my neck and shoulders. Perhaps a miscommunication, I don’t know. I guess full body should have been requested on my part. I was just confused because I had filled out a form prior to the massage naming my trouble spots I had assumed that all spots would be addressed. I ended up walking out wanting more and with a sore neck from being rubbed repeatedly in the same spot.
