I've been seeing Maggy for close to 20 years and could not speak more highly of her. She spends the time to really understand what issues you have and prescribes post-treatment "homework" (if applicable) to help you manage between appointments or help avoid future issues. Her practice is extremely professional but personal as well - definitely see her or one of her other hand-picked co-workers.

I've had a few treatments with Crystal after jamming my shoulder and neck. Crystal truly goes above and beyond as an EMT. She's super friendly, warm and professional...and STRONG!!! This is my first experience with an RMT and Crystal has set the bar super high. The house itself is clean, tastefully decorated and zen! All around a terrific experience.

Maggy Ashby is a very talented, deeply skilled, and thoroughly experienced massage therapist. She looks at your body and finds the places that really need the most work. I have been going to her for nearly a decade and I hope to go to her for another decade at least. When I didn't live in Ottawa, I would make sure to book massages with Maggy when I came to visit. She's an RMT so you can get reimbursement for something like 80% up to $300 each calendar year from the public service health care plan if you work for the Government of Canada (around 3 massages and a bonus little bit on your fourth). Book in advance though because Maggy gets booked up - you can book on the online system on her website on your own or email her if there are no times that work for you and Maggy usually makes time if she can and replies fairly quickly by email. She does have two other massage therapists in the practice who I hear are good too. It's a beautiful, very clean, and very relaxing space here at Ashby House too. I love it there :)

If you’re looking for actual Massage therapy, to feel better, to move more freely, this is the place for you. I couldn’t recommend it enough. There is parking on site, it’s centrally located, the folks working here super knowledgeable and I’ve never seen anyone care about their practice like the therapists here do.

Professional but friendly, with a lovely atmosphere and decor so it felt like home. Staff were warm and the massage therapist answered all my questions and even did a before and after mobility check to help determine if the treatment was effective. She went out of her way to get a heating pad for me cause there wasn’t one in the room. The space was clean, uncluttered, and layout gave you privacy.

Selfishly, I'm VERY inclined to give one star so that I can keep this gem of a business to the limited number of clients as Maggy and her team is hard enough already to get in with! If you need a therapeutic massage, this is it. She actually does assessments on you, visually seeing the muscle movements and working on areas you didnt think needed to be worked on and it relaxes the problematic areas vs. other therapists who just massage the problem area. I cant speak highly enough how gifted of a massage therapist Maggy is. I never experienced what a therapeutic massage was until I came to Ashby.
