I've been here several times for facials and massages. Facials are great, which is why I give it 4 stars. MASSAGES NEED IMPROVEMENT. I went for a couples massage a little while ago and the guy I had was just honestly, bad. It was the worst massage I've had. The guy literally only had 2 technics. TWO. He would take his fingers and just go in a circular motion in a small area. He was going in the same spot over and over and over, where it became sore. His other technic was taking his fingers and just running them up and down my back? Every 5 minutes or so I'd be hopeful when he'd move but no, he would just go back to do those 2 things again. Was very very disappointed.

The ambiance is great. Very relaxing atmosphere. They offer complementary lemon water and chocolates. I went for a couples massage with my boyfriend today (my boyfriends first time getting a massage). Danielle was my masseuse and she did a fantastic job! She always made sure to ask if the pressure was alright, if the heating pad and pillow placement was ok. She was very kind, gentle, soothing and caring of what was going to make it a great experience. Amy was the other masseuse and they were both so nice, friendly, constantly making sure we were ok. They even offered us a water bottle after the massage. I rated it a 4 and not a 5 (I don't rate 5's because regardless of how great things are there is always room for improvement! I will definitely go back and recommend it. Overall a great experience! I would recommend going to see Danielle. She's great!

Very nicely decorated, clean washrooms, clean rooms, ample hot towels and professional staff at the front desk. RMT even offered a water bottle after the massage. The massage table had an automated hydraulic raising and lowering system which allowed the RMT to sit down for head treatment. They had a few rooms and were even open on Sunday. They did even accommodate me on the same day. So in short an excellent place however, the RMT was quite detached and the overall feel was that of a lack of personal touch and felt very mechanical.

A very clean, well-kept and professional place. I had a great experience with the RMT and will be coming here again in the near future. It's located in a great location just off of Taunton Road and it is surrounded by a lot of other businesses in the area. The staff were nice and the facilities were kept in great condition.

Great first experience! Alison at the front desk was very friendly and informative. My massage therapist was Kimmy, she is a smaller set woman but, don't let that fool you...She is so strong! (and she told me that the pressure she gave with my massage was medium-hard). She concentrated on my lower back as I had mentioned to her that I had lower back pain in the past and it had only eased up a little when I got a new pillow. She also worked on my other muscles just as hard, which was great! I love that this clinic offers a discount to members who sign up for their prepay plan option. I did not feel pressured into signing up for this plan at all. Alison gave me all the details of the plan and assured me that there is no term, no contract and no fees for cancellation. She gave me a brochure with all the details and pricing to take home so i could take my time to make a decision on whether i want to sign up or not. That put me at ease as it didn't make me feel like I was being roped into something that'll end up costing me an arm and a leg in the long run. I will definitely look into taking advantage of this option!

The massage Therapist ( Kimi) is perfect all times. But the atmosphere was really bad. The hole Massage the was a meeting in back and they were talking so loud. I couldn’t relax at all. Also I bought a Massage for a friend, to introduce him to Hand & Stone, but had to pay the full price instead introductory price. I can’t wait until there is some competition in Whitby!

I am using a name other than my own for reviews. I booked an intro massage at this place. I had asked for deep tissue massage from the massage therapist and nothing more. He then told me that he does stretching into his routine, which I said no to. I do not like stretching because I strictly wanted a deep massage only . The man agreed, but during the massage, started to do stretching... I gave up at this point. I do not like paying large amounts of money to a person that does not respect what I want. I have never run into this problem with any other massage place and I will not be returning again.

I received a Himalayan salt massage with the foot therapy add on from Stephen and it was absolutely amazing. It felt so good and I feel as if years of stress and pain went away. I will definitely come back. Stephen was very accommodating and professional - so was the front desk. I wasn’t sure what to expect for my first massage but it was certainly comfortable and relaxing. I could of drifted off into a slumber if I got the 90 minute one lol

Slightly more expensive than other locations but I've been a loyal customer for 2 years and have never had an issue getting an appointment with my preferred RMT. You definitely get what you pay for in this regard.

My husband puchased the Rejuvenation package for me for a Christmas gift. I got an 80 minute massage, a facial and a foot treatment. WOW. I haven't had alot of spa trips in my life but I have had a few (ie. St. Annes). The massage was done by Amy. She was awesome. By body feels soooo relaxed. Best massage I've had by far. The facial was done by Denise. I would say the BEST facial I have ever had done. Amazing products used. Staff was professional and friendly. Felt very comfortable. Will be bringing my kids back and they are dying to get a massage....and mommy will HAVE to have one too. Highly recommend (and I NEVER write these things).

I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing! Everyone I have met has been very kind and helpful. I go here for prenatal massages and they are just the best!! I highly recommend it! I also took my husband for his 1st massage ever, and he said he enjoyed it and will be going back in the future. He says he can see why I like it so much! ????

Went for an hour massage specifically for neck pain and the women I had was not good at all. Kept telling her where I needed her to focus on and apply pressure and she would just stay in the same position for an extended period of time. Very annoying. Would not recommend especially for the price your paying. Oh and their even looking to increase their prices on crappy service.

Came here for a facial a couple weeks ago solely for the dermalogica products.. Was searching for someone who is a certified 'dermalogica expert' and ended up with Joanna, who is an absolute peach.. Made me feel comfortable the entire time (even during extractions) and she was so knowledgable and helpful it was definitely the best facial experience I've had. Just called in to schedule my next appointment and I didn't catch the receptionists name but she was great in helping me understand the 'membership' program. Overall a very relaxing place to go, almost a medical quality of professionalism, you know these people know what they're doing!

My husband booked the massage for me. They told him it would be $65 but charged me $110. I didn't know the price they had told him so I paid not knowing the pricing there. So with a tip I paid $130 for a basic 50 minute massage. Not worth it. I won't be going back

Facial with Kendra one of the best experiences i have ever had, and being a "mature" age I've had many experiences! If you are booking a facial ask for her by name. The front desk staff are all so accomodating and friendly. The spa is very clean from the front entrance all the way back to the restrooms incl all the treatment rooms in between. It has a calm and relaxing atmosphere and is wonderful smelling. If i was allowed to put my name and number here for you to verify I'm telling the truth, i would!

Mediocre massage. I think my therapist was pretty new because he was only using 2 or 3 different techniques over and over again. I think it would have been ok with a quick 20-minute massage but this was a 50-minute massage. I usually go to a chiropractor or another medical facility that offers massage. This was my first time here so I was a little surprised when they asked me to add a tip when I was paying. I have never been asked that at any other place I have gone to get a massage they certainly were not very discreet about asking. I did not add a tip as I submit this receipt through my benefits and had I know I was expected to pay additional money on top of the advertised rate, I would have gone somewhere else. I don’t think I will be back.

Tatiana was great, I have no issue with the treatment. The atmosphere in the waiting area is hectic. Staff are loud and very chattery, not considering customers in the waiting area may want to relax before their treatment. I had to sit through a staff meeting and a very loud receptionist who answered the phone with a stern tone. Build a wall and let your customers have a bit of peace and quiet before hand.

When I initially started to go to Hand and Stone it was great. However over the last month my experiences have dramatically changed. 3 weeks in a row I have booked an appointment with Megan. All 3 appointments were cancelled the day before. The first cancellation Megan was sick. The last 2 who knows. They were unable to fit me in for another appointment for 2 weeks. I was frustrated while on the phone trying to explain the issue to the receptionist. She interrupted me a couple times and in the end finally found me a time then hung up on me. My sister also had a cancelled appointment from the massage therapist she was seeing. She ended up having a bad massage and was disappointed. I explained on the phone I was worried about this so wanted to ensure the massage would be good and not a waste of an hour.
