Best studio in Halifax! I love the variety of classes they offer, some including aromatherapy, all including amazing teachers. I lost over 15 lbs in 30 days by going daily for the Intro. The heated classes are my favourite! I promise you will sweat like never before. It's a two level building with 2 open yoga studios, accessible parking, changing rooms, showers, and some delicious snacks at the counter! They also offer some very powerful Reiki! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to begin or grow their practice. I mean $40 for a month unlimited classes is a good deal.

Every yoga instructor here has a slightly different style but I have enjoyed ever instructor's approach to their own class. All the instructors here are just wonderful.

The Universe sang "Halifax Yoga" in my ear, and while I was working in Dartmouth and living in Lake Echo, I said yes. It didn't really make sense in my life at the time, choosing a studio 40 minutes from home, yet the pull couldn't be denied. I started practicing at Halifax Yoga in May 2017, and was hooked, not only to the yoga and all of the benefits, but to the beautiful studio, the amazing and supportive instructors and healers, and the big love community. I enrolled in the 2017/2018 Yoga Teacher Training Program to first help heal my body, soul and mind, and then help others, however I received so much more than I imagined and everything I needed. I'm genuinely grateful to have taken the program under Sherry Zak, and the irreplaceable mentors. Sherry has walked and shared the journey with our group, with love, singing, dancing, laughter, tears and tremendous growth. I'm proud to call this my studio of choice. With heartfelt appreciation, thank you Halifax Yoga.

A Yoga enthusiast for many years and new to the city I decided to try this place as it's close by to my home. Its a cute studio, nice people. The prices are set on the higher side for a single pass $19 vs $15 - $17 at other places, which is fine... So long as the standard is also high. I attended a warm yin class. Typically the kind of class you would describe as "yummy" when you leave... If that was the experience provided. Unfortunately, the class was room temperature at best and I'm thankful I wore long sleeves. I left feeling bitter not blissed and I can honestly say this won't be my studio of choice. Thankfully for Halifax and myself there is as many yoga studios as Tim Hortons. So I'll have to drive a little farther... Not a deal breaker. The deal breaker is charging for warmth, and not providing it.

The classes are fine, neither any better nor any worse than others I have had, but the music is loud (for a class promoting meditation and concentration) and distracting. The two instructors I worked with would always play the same songs, so if you didn't like one, you were just out of luck.

Halifax Yoga is a welcoming community of people with amazing instructors! I originally started yoga here through their "Intro to Yoga" program and have never looked back. If you are new to yoga or getting back into it after a period of time, I highly suggest this particular program. It was a comfortable and safe environment to learn the basics of yoga and it sparked an absolute love of yoga in me. I have now been practicing at the studio for almost a year and am thrilled to continue to learn and grow in this space. Since my first time ever doing yoga in May 2017, I have become enthralled with it and joined the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at the studio in September 2017. This program, led by the studio owner, Sherry Zak, is incredible, eye-opening, and completely supportive. Whether you are looking for a new studio to practice at, a beginner program, a YTT program, or interesting and unique workshops, I highly recommend Halifax Yoga. I consider this studio my second home and can honestly say that being part of this community has changed my life for the better.
