The estheticians I have seen for facials, waxing, and teeth whitening have been very knowledgeable, professional, and willing to answer any questions I may have regarding processes or products used. I recently had my first laser hair removal appointment done at the Halifax location and was highly impressed. The business is following all covid regulations which is a plus in my books. The girl sat me down and asked me questions and explained everything to make sure I knew what to expect and was comfortable proceeding. She also explained the payment options which were surprisingly flexible! The treatment itself was painless which surprised me. The technician was very friendly and professional, she made small talk to make me feel comfortable and was very thorough in her work but was still efficient. The price point was really good too, so no complaints there. I’m excited to go in for my next treatment and see how the end results look after I finish all my sessions.

Microneedling Treatment - January 2021 My first time using services from Derma Envy Halifax. This was a package purchased on line, one microneedling/photo facial/bend collagen/hyaluronic acid $399+tax = $458.85 (Revive and Rewind deal) Sounded good, but was not. The technician was very nice, but right out the gate, I didn't feel she was very informative/knowledgeable especially where I was a first time customer and user of this procedure. I was expecting more discussion on my ageing skin and what would work best for me etc. The emails prior to my first visit showed a time slot a half hour 'free' consultation to discuss my skin, issues and possible treatments to best suit me and my needs. She forgot to do this until I was already laying on the table and then came back and asked me if this is my first visit!? Very brief discussion took place. Short answers and no specific recommendations. I had my photofacial done first (prior to this appointment I had phone conversations with her as It wasn't clear if I was going to have all procedures done at once and she wasn't sure either and had to check with her colleague and would get back to me... again, thought this was odd as wouldn't someone who provides the services know if a photofacial and microneedling should be done together or separatley??) The photofacial was very quick and I didn't feel much... nor did I see any results. Two weeks later, I had the microneedling done. It was VERY painful, even with the topical numbing prior, I couldn't believe how much it hurt! (I'd sooner give birth than go through that again) I felt abit traumatized from the experience and was left with an extremely red, soar and tight face for a few days (which I think is somewhat normal but it was bad!). My skin after a few days was not as red but saw lines and other skin issues I didn't see before. I was really disappointed but gave it at least a couple weeks. I followed the instructions to only use the hyaluronic acid for the first 72 hours etc. BTW, the initial bottle I was given had a fowl smell and when I asked about it she said sounded like a bad batch so she replaced it (this was before I had the microneedling done as I had the photofacial first). Also, The Bend Collagen is a powder that is so bad tasting and doesn't dissolve in liquid - I don't use it so it was a waste. I went back after a couple weeks from when I had the microneedling done and had an express facial (that took all of 10 or so minutes and cost me over $70 !) So, in total I spent over $500 and no apparent positive results. Just a bottle of Hyaluronic Acid that I use. After doing further research on this type of procedure, I found alot of reviews against it. I recommend anyone looking to do this, consider doing research on both the positive and negative side affects. I'm 55 years old and did not have scars or other issues with my skin except I was looking to improve my pores, skin discoloration, fine lines and possibly tighten my skin. I do not see any improvement, but rather I do see other negative affects such as more skin texture issues, skin lines where I didn't have before (under eyes/top of cheek bone). It was unfortunately, a waste of money and time for me and do not recommend. March 24,2021. Reply to Derma team. Thank you for responding. In regards to the photos taken of the Before and after, they were taken with completely different lighting which distorts the after photos. The results were not significant as the photos may suggest.

Went on a Sunday in December for a treatment and had a satisfactory experience. My next treatment was scheduled for January 9th. When I showed up at the office, the doors were locked and lights were off. I waited around for 15 minutes in case staff were late getting in but no one showed up. So I called and left a voicemail, and still haven’t even gotten a call or email response. Just found it poor service to not inform me that my appointment needed to be cancelled or moved, and unprofessional to not even get a call back after that. It’s difficult for me to get time off to attend appointments so would have appreciated proper communication from them. In addition to the above, I was not even asked any COVID screening questions before my first appointment which is worrisome.
