You will see the opinions of real people who are using the services of Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy (Massage Therapist) in Northwest Territories (Canada).
At present this business has a score of 3.7 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 50 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is really good, and it's founded on a very high number of reviews, so we can be pretty sure that the rating is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Massage Therapist is included in the category of Massage school.
As a former student, I want to thank Mr Grosbers, the college president who take care of everything to ensure good services are offered to clients and students.
I attend their massage and reflexology sessions on a regular basis and I find that the students and teachers are truly educated. I've learned a lot from them to keep the well being of my body in check. Everyone there is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful and the rates are good. I have strongly recommended the sessions to my friends.
I bought a Groupon deal for an hr massage because it was $1.20, there are a lot of bad reviews for those but it's mostly around the customer service which I found to be no problem at all. The only downside about the group deal is that I bad to wait over a month for my appointment
I would highly recommend NOT purchasing services through any group deals. I purchased three vouchers through Groupon for their reflexology services and had to get a credit when I tried and tried to book a single appt. The Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy obviously is not able to keep up with the demand. Their phone greeting indicates that they are not able to attend to your call at that time but if you leave a msg they will return the call in 48 hours. Not the case. Nor do they reply to email. Save yourself the headache. Go elsewhere.
RCC is a wonderful school to attend, with intimate classes, approachable teachers, and an accommodatingly flexible curriculum. The staff care, and that's what really got me, always trying their best to make sure you're learning and understanding the information being provided. Allowing themselves to be available for extra help and/or questions. When you walk in through the front doors, you can always sense warmth and a family environment.
I have been here for many appointments! The staff and students are very kind and helpful! Very clean and such a good environment! I highly recommend Royal Canadian Collage Of Massage Therapy!
Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy... Is The Best... I am sorry that some people have a habit of writing fake or negative reviews for Untrue and/or Invalid Reasons, but My Review Is Honest And Truthful! The Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy has been Successfully In Business since 2006 and they operate both a Professional, Licensed School as well as Offering Massage Therapy to Everybody. I was very fortunate to find this school online while doing a Google Search because my 86 year old mother, Mrs. Helene Shore needed Reflexology very badly since she suffers from arthritis both in her feet and legs. I truthfully believe that my mother will benefit from their Massage Therapy. In Fact, today being Wednesday, July 26, 2017 was my mother's first Reflexology Therapy Session and she told ME that she liked her treatment with Stephanie very, very much! My mother has already paid for (10) treatments already and I look forward to her receiving Excellent Therapeutic Results with future visits. I want to personally Thank Ben Grosberg, the Founder of the Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy for Inviting My Mother to his school and getting her an Immediate Appointment. Yes, this school is Quite Busy and that is a Good Sign. Obviously, they are doing something Right! Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Visitor Executive, Writer For Google, Tripadvisor And Other Social Media Websites /HPS
Amazing experience, great massage, wish student performing massages would not speak as much ???? in order to have relaxed atmosphere (Yes difficult to schedule as calls not being answered)
Overall review based on having a package (10 student massages) there: The price is worth it; I think I paid roughly $130 for 10, 1 hour student massages. But like the comment below reads, they cannot keep up with the demand so it is hard to book an appointment. Also, keep in mind they are students so every session they have to do analysis, etc. which takes almost 15 mins. so by the time you actually get the massage, its more like 45 mins. Most of the office staff (Gary, Bonnie) are nice, except for this tanned, bald headed lady who has no concept of what being a receptionist entails; so much attitude for no reason. Otherwise, you pretty much get what you pay for. The place is clean, but your session satisfaction depends on the student you get.
This place does not answer phone calls or emails, I’ve tried numerous times to book my groupon foot reflexology over the past 3 weeks and no one responds to my inquiries. Initially when I called I did speak to someone who told me all the Saturdays in February where booked and to call mid month to book for March. When I emailed to inquiry if they are now booking the person responded only the student massage needs to be booked in advance not the foot reflexology. Anyways since that email I have yet to heard back in regards to an appointment... definitely lack of communication. I hope groupon will refund me for this ????????♀️
WARNING - Once upon a time, there were a handful a private vocational schools in Ontario offering massage therapy education. The Ministry that oversees private vocational schools is different than the Ministry that oversees colleges and universities. The latter had obviously not consulted the former when they permitted community colleges to begin offering massage therapy programs. At that time, this caused an uproar because the Ministry had not done any feasibility studies to ascertain just how many new RMT's the province could realistically absorb every year with potentially multitudes of colleges offering the program. Since then, there definitely has been an issue of over-saturation, especially given where the majority of grads likely land... in major centres, as with most jobs. This information definitely SHOULD be shared with RMTs-in-training
The folks at RCC have been amazing. Ben couldn't be kinder or more willing to help in any way. Dr Ali was a truly phenomenal instructor. Incredibly knowledgeable and delivers the material comprehensively and efficiently. After studying at RCC, I passed the board exams on my first try!
What a great surprise to know that my massage therapy student was already a practicing chiropractor! I had Hilary, she was great. She was very professional and checked in with me frequently to make sure the pressure was ok and that I was comfortable throughout the hour-long massage. When we got to chatting, she mentioned that she was in the accelerated massage program and working to improve her manual skills to become an RMT. When I asked a little bit more, I found out that she's already a practicing chiropractor (so already a Doctor!) who studied at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She mentioned that many chiropractors who have already graduated have continued their education at this school to be qualified as an RMT as well. Kind of a phenomenal deal to get an hour long for less than $50 from a Doctor! Will definitely come back.
Took the reflexology course here for some CEU's, biggest mistake of 2015. From start to finish I had issues with this school from the President telling me the wrong start date, as well as telling me I could work off half of the course in the clinic. The presidents story changed so many times it was hard to keep it all straight, first he told me I could work in the clinic doing RMT massages but then this changed to getting paid at the student rate. Then it changed a final time where he told me I'd have to perform 20 odd reflexology trtmts to pay for $500 of the course. Which would generate him almost double the amount of revenue. So, after getting fed up and paying for the full course so, I could be done with misinformation which the President Ben couldn't keep straight either. I received my certificate after about 3 weeks of unanswered emails and phone calls. I wouldn't recommend this school to non rmts wanting to become rmts and I would highly recommend against any RMT'S taking any CEU courses here. Gary at the front desk was the only helpful person. What a terrible experience over all, definitely a waste of time and energy.
The general atmosphere was not very professional; albeit it is a school, however they are also operating as a clinic. The therapist I had was very nice; however, the treatment didn’t do much to relax my muscles. Have had many treatments from RMTs over the years, so know how it should feel after a good session. I wouldn’t return.
I am a new teacher at the school. I am so fortunate to be teaching at a school that cares so much about its students, staff and clients. In the last couple of months , I have observed teachers giving 200% to their students and students giving everything they have to their clients. As a practicing RMT for over 23 years. This school is doing an excellent job fulfilling its commitment to its students and the public.
The front desk staff were very friendly but my massage therapist was not very professional. Most of the session was just him applying pressure points/me breathing through it rather than proper massage. I came in with no pain and left with pain!
Beware! If you're thinking about registering for Royal Canadian College, don't do it. I had nothing but headaches with this school. The president Ben seems like a nice guy, promising you all sorts of things. But once he gets you registered with the school, he will start to treat you with no respect. When it's that time of the month to make payment, his assistant will turn to a collections agent and become very annoying to a point where I thought she was going to physically harm me. They have teachers there that have a very thick accent and it will be hard to understand them. Most students end up failing a lot of the courses and are required to retake it. I feel bad for some of these students as they feel like this school will give them a promising future in a short period of time. I lost my money, but I feel a lot better not going to this school. I am now attending another college, which I wish I had chosen from the beginning.
Where do I begin I booked an appointment for a reflexology massage on Tuesday and when I got there they said I wasn't booked. Apparently they booked me for wed under a different name for for a full body massage with a male tech. And when I said I had a Groupon they became very rude and unprofessional they did not apologize for any of the mistakes they made.so I had to rebook and they still managed to screw it up again I will never ever ever ever come to this establishment again the massage tech have no clue what their doing I can't believe this school real.
I'm a recent graduate and a fan of this institution. Was looking for a college that fits my special needs and my busy life. The programs and instructor at this college helped me that I just needed one attempt for the board exams. Now I'm an RMT thanks to the college and my hard work. The instructors are highly educated and most helpful even when you have a question in the hallways. Staff is so nice and friendly that you feel amongst friends. The programs are so versatile that it will fit your needs for sure. Above all "Ben" the director/owner, makes sure that everyone and everything is as such that fulfill your special and unique needs, no matter what. I will search no where else if I had to do this all over again. Thanks everyone at RCCMT.
I am a recently active Healthcare professional and is now studying at RCCMT. Just finished Term 1. I went to this school because this is the only massage school which provides evening classes starting at 6:30 pm in Toronto from Monday to Friday. All instructors at the school are professionals, PhDs, CP, RMTs with a lot of years' experience in the field and teaching. The program is extensive and would be challenging without a science/health science background if you are enrolling in the evening program. Looking forward to start Term 2 and the materials to be covered will be much more compared to the first term in the next 4 months. You can make up your own class schedule since the school provides day classes and evening classes all year round depending on the number of intakes. Study in your own pace and earn to pay for the tuition at the same time.
I am an Osteopath Manual Practitioner, I am one of the Student in Advance Standing Diploma in 2017 Batch , I will defiantly recommend this Collage to attain Courses. All staff is very very professional and very Knowledgeable. In other words one the best Collage to attain if you want become an Reg. Massage Therapist.
They always have the groupon deal. Yes, it is cheap but so many people purchased it, it is impossible to book an appointment. sometimes has to wait for a month and a half. In addition, rarely anyone picks up the phone, and messages were not return. I gave up trying to book, I exchanged the groupon for something else. I won't be purchasing again.....
I have been going to this clinic for awhile now and it's usually a mediocre experience. Today I met Lisa for a massage. I was pleasantly surprised at her professionalism and massage skills. It was the best massage there so far. She even followed up showing me some exercises that I can do to help. I was impressed.
Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy Is Excellent! My son, Howard Paul Shore found out about the school online because he knows that I have a hard time walking and was in need of some Good Massage Therapy and unfortunately, I just can Not afford an outside Massage Therapist on my own. I was so glad that Howard found ME the Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy and when I went for my Very First Treatment, I met with Ben, the owner who took Good Care Of Me. His Massage Therapists are Excellent and Very Well Trained and they have developed a Program for ME that works quite well! It has been several Massage Sessions so far and Now I feel that I am benefiting and my walking ability seems to be a bit easier. I will definitely continue receiving Massages here because I know that I need them and they are working for ME and if You need a Good Massage, then You have found the Right Place. Thank you. Sincerely yours, Helene Shore Royal Canadian College Of Massage Therapy Client Mother To Howard Paul Shore /HS
It has been lucky to have Ben as the school chair and lots of wonderful teachers at Rccmassage. It is proved it was a wonderful expiring learning journey for me and will be for you. Cheers and good luck.
BEST COLLEGE ,VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL TEAM .VERY STRONG SKILLS AND HIGH KNOWLEDGE.I PASS OSCE AND MCQ EASILY.VERY HAPPY.)BEN YOU ARE THE BEST ,DOING AND AMAZING JOB....RECOMAND...RECOMAND....RECOMAND ...ROYAL COLLEGE...FOR EVERYONE ...THIS IS THE RIGHT CHOICE.....
The instructors at RCC are highly educated and passionate about teaching and developing good massage therapists. A lot of work is required to become a RMT but the school is very supportive and flexible. If you work hard the school will do everything it can to prepare you for the examination process. If I had to do it over again, I have no doubt I would come back to this school.
I am not happy at all and deceived with the Reflexology session that I had at Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy. Luxi the person who did the session did not know at all what she was doing. It was a total waste of time and money.
I do not have enough good things to say about this college and Ben and all his staff! I had taken a massage therapy program at another college and had been unsuccessful with the certification exams. I had a baby in between and by the time I approached Ben I was at an all time low confidence wise and financially. At RCCMT, I was offered evening classes that made repeating the course even possible! The tutors helped identify my weaknesses and deal with them effectively. I passed both my certification exams at first attempt and I am now registered. A big thank you!!
Went to this school for a semester a couple years ago, teachers were easy to get along with and learn from, overall very pleasant experience!
go elsewhere
Went here on a groupon for reflexology. We just made it on time for the appt. (like maybe one minute to go); traffic was super bad and the restaurant we had lunch in was super busy but since we r new clients we need to be there earlier to register (~15min). When we entered the school, the mood was not friendly at all at reception, we just got scolded. We apologized for being late and was not even asking to do the full 50 minutes because this is not the first rodeo at a spa for us, we know that if ur late ur time is shorten. So it was a little off putting. But the therapists we had made it all up. It was very relaxing and the reflexology was great...mind u i never been to another place for reflexology so nothing to compare. I really enjoyed the entire session. So much that i tried to see if the reception area would be nicer on our leave so i asked a few questions. And they were actually super nice so then i may have just caught them in a bad mood when we arrived. Overall, i recommend and will come back.
I haven't went in for service as yet but it is ridiculous that you have to book 1 month in advance in order to get a massage.
I was a student who graduated and passed mcqs and practical exam and became a full licensed RMT. Ben made it easy for me to stay and complete the course. I couldnt of done it without his or the staffs help. The teachers were knowledgeable and understanding. Great experience overall wouldn't trade it for the world. Recommend it to abyone wishing to be an RMT or interested in acupuncture. thanks for everything. Sincerely, Aaron Da Silva R.M.T
Experienced reflexologists and massage therapy students offer healing and relaxing sessions to clients. Supervisors control everything and help both students and clients, to work efficiently, and enjoy their time.
Great school, Great staff and excellent learning experience. School provides more than enough sources to pass board exams and be a good RMT. Highly Recommend
I tried all three reflexologists at this clinic. Staphanie was wonderfully professional and knowledgeable but recently it has been hard to get an appointment with her. Malanie could not stop talking about herself, and I did not enjoy playing her psychotherapist while paying a fee. Masoud was totally ignorant. He told me to eat more salt while I had edema! When I challenged him on this, he tried to tell me the edema was only in my mind. I assume it's because he does not know what edema is about, as there is a kidney point on the foot for reflexology, but no edema point! The thing is if he is not a dietician or psychotherapist, he should not pretend to know how to "fix" me or my problem (in his mind)!
This place is unbelievably hard to get a hold of.... you actually get frustrated. Considering they are trying to advertise on groupon with extending an offer, you can NEVER get a hold of them. You end up playing phone tag and you never know when they will return your call. People who go for massages anywhere would envision ease of making appointments..but this is ANYTHING but that. Keep in mind, these groupon deals of course expire within time frame..and also keep in mind that IF you try to make an appt it will be MANY weeks later. I would advise to go elsewhere.
