Tried this as a Groupon that my girlfriend bought. She booked an appointment for two massages. Once we arrived, filled out an intake form, and was asked about insurance. I mentioned I have insurance. The massage was good, the masseuse walked on my back and stretched my body. A lot of elbows deep into the muscles, and focus on pressure points of the spine. When we settled up, we were surprised by the bill. My masseuse was an RMT, my girlfriend's wasn't. I was charged for RMT, and the Groupon paid for a portion of the services. I wasn't told before. There was no discount applied, the Groupon fee covered for the difference of $101.70 RMT service. I paid the remainder and was told that I can claim through insurance. What shocked me was that I wasn't told this before my session. I wasn't given the choice to choose whether to use my insurance or not. When it came to settling the bill, that's when they told me they switched the services. My gf had booked two normal massages, and I felt I was upsold when doing the intake form because I had insurance... The normal rate would have been $44 (with Groupon) but instead it went to $101.70. If I had known, I wouldn't have come here and use my insurance.

I have tried many different RMT places and this is by far the best. I travel all the way down from Aurora to visit them regularly. I have really bad back and neck problem and a massage always help. The price is a bit expensive but if your insurance covers RMT, this is the place to go.

This is a good and relatively cheap option (if you get their package) for massage and relatively good quality especially because they give you deep Asian-type massage. Not much of a relaxation type massage if you want to relax. Their concept is so that you don't take off your cloths, but still works so well. I've been to many regular massage places (medium priced and expensive) and I can say they are good. Only, watch out for the any guy masseuse as they're usually tougher and some tend to go all over your back including your spine and may give you weird massages of the scalp! My favourite is LILi.

I've never had a Traditional Chinese Tuina massage before, but I'm glad I came to Osteo Tuina to try one. The clinic was clean and cozy, and the staff were pleasant. I normally opt for private room massages, but the open concept didn't bother me because I was made comfortable. I was given Dawson as my masseuse and he was great! He really targeted my areas of concern, and I loved the techniques he was using. After the massage he highlighted areas of concern and advised how I should try to correct it. I had a very good experience here and will most likely return.

I've been a regular customer here. Great staffs and services. They have 2 small rooms for privacy, and curtains outside. Sometimes if I make late appointments, the building main floor door is closed. I entered from Rexall drug store.

My friend and I enjoyed our experience here. Excellent massage therapists using traditional Chinese techniques. We got a Groupon so our services were discounted. They don't have private rooms, just curtains separating the massage tables. I prefer private rooms but they were not busy when we visited and had the whole place to ourselves.

I came in for a massage to help out with my tight and sore body. The tuina massage hurt a little, but when we had finished the massage my whole body felt much more relaxed and all the muscle tension was gone. They suggested I do acupuncture afterwards to help with fatigue, I had been a little scared of the needles, but you could hardly feel them enter your body except for the tingly sensation you get when the therapist hit the right spot! The next morning, I felt much better, it was as though all the sleep I’ve lost and stress I built up just faded away!

Jack was amazing, his hands made a good job with my body, I went for a couple massage with my boyfriend and the only thing we didn't like is that is not private at all, it's just a full suite. unfortunately at the same time of our session, an old man took his massage and he was making weird noises.

All the staff are so friendly here; session was very relaxing. It's my first time doing a deep tissue massage, and they paired me with a very experienced therapist. Felt a bit pain and some soreness during the session, but I felt great the next morning. Will definitely go back for another session.

It’s a condo building and the space is quite tiny. I think the massage itself depends on how you prefer it but for someone who is used to RMT massages, this traditional Chinese massage was extremely painful and I had shoulder pain for few days after. The massage person and receptionists are nice, but I won’t recommend it for someone with injury or someone who’s sensitive

It was a perfect Acupuncture experience for me. After treatment the pain and sore feeling have gone away from my body and I also got a really nice sleep. Therapist is a nice and knowledgeable lady who tought me some exercise when I am at home. If you have shoulder tight and headache make you can work in good condition. I really recommend do the Acupuncture here.

I first came in a couple months ago with some shoulder pain and after a 20 minute session, the next day it was completely gone. In one visit the osteopath made a small injury a huge injury for me. I spent a year recovering from it. He would not listen to me when I was crying in pain as he manipulated my hip & I was asking him to stop. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

awful. when I came in they got my insurance card for pay. after massage they told me your insurance doesn't cover the massage. I had to pay $124 from my pocket. If I was supposed to pay from my pocket I could go to a cheaper place. I don't recommend this place.

This is not "regular" massage. You are clothed (bring comfy, airy clothes beneath your outerwear), you lie in a regular massage bed, and the therapist applies pressure and rubs with fingers, hands, knuckles, elbow and even legs - she walked on me (I am a big guy and she was a slim lady)! No oil and or "soothing" rubs. This is for when you have a specific set of issues you want addressed. At the beginning she actually read what I wrote in the intake form, asked a few questions to make sure she understands, was very nice, and then proceeded during the therapy to touch on the problems I mentioned - super professional. Though slim, she applied as much pressure as needed, and knew to find and then home in on the target muscles while she worked. These were definitely not the "professional caresses" some massages end up being. Since you are clothed the massage is done in a common room where there are 4 other beds. The ambient is quiet, the music relaxing, the temperature comfortable. I didn't mind the other guy in the next bed. What did bother me a little was that when other people come and go or the secretary speaks on the phone it did cause some distraction from my "zen" while I was zoning out, enjoying and concentrating on my body. But, hey, you can't get everything. So if this would bother you, don't come, or book the head massagist who has his private room (and is more expensive). For all the rest - thoroughly recommended, especially since there is no oil etc it is perfect for before, after or in the middle of work. The rates are competitive and similar to what is the norm in the market, with cheaper options if done by a non-RMT.

Really friendly experience. The lady had a problem speaking English but she made it up with the different style of massages that she was really good at. As we entered, we just had to quickly finish the paperwork -the beds were ready and the massages were worth every penny. I would definitely go again.

I went to Osteo Tuina North York location this Friday and got a massage from Sayaka. She is super good! She got all my points! I use computer everyday so I got pain of my Upper back and my neck. I feel so comfortable after treatment. The Front Desk is friendly also, her name is Ava. Will go back! Highly recommend.

It was such a waste of time and money. The place is basically a tiny bachelor suite. No rooms or even covers or curtains which makes you very uncomfortable and not able to lie down and relax when people walk around. The massage itself was so weird. They made up something which is not standard at all. It's not deep tissue and it just made my muscles more sore. About the pricing, they charged me $100 for a 50 min session which is so over-priced for that kind of non-standard massage. Don't recommend it at all. There are a lot of professional massage studios at Yonge & Sheppard area you can try.

Overall the session was good but the receptionist was way too pushy. She kept aggressively asking different questions and getting me to buy the package. This place is way too expensive and space makes you feel like you are in some cheap place.

I am assuming that the high ratings are due to other services provided by this practice or maybe my experience was an isolated case with this one particular RMT. There are few other RMT's I believe. However, personally, I will never return to this place ever and will not recommend to people I know. The massage was unbearably painful and pure torture with lack of prior communication by the RMT. Her strokes were very quick and too much pressure was applied. It felt like she was putting her entire weight on me when pressing with her elbows. I was in so much pain and distress. Mind you, I am not abnormally sensitive to pain and don't have any sensory issues or any prior medical history. It is also my fault as well as I should've spoken up about it rather than groaning in pain once in a while trying to endure the massage to avoid "offending" her. I just didn't know any better as it was my first deep tissue massage and I thought it was normal for me to be in this much pain. Only after reading countless online forums and speaking to other people about it made me realize that even a deep tissue massage isn't suppose to be that painful. Second of all, my primary reason for coming in was my lower back tenseness/pain.I spoke to the RMT about this as she briefly asked after reading the registration form that I wrote. I was shocked to realize that she massaged my lower back for maybe 2 minutes and never again for the other 58 minutes. II was dumbfounded when she told me that the session was over because I was assuming that she was going to focus on that area at the end ( I couldn't see the clock so I didnt know how much time had elapsed while receiving the massage) I was just confused as to what her reasoning was for avoiding the only area that I really needed the massage in the first place. Did she forget? or was there a communication issue? The entire experience exhausted me as I was in such distress during and after the massage. I expected some kind of body aches as that is to be expected after a massage but my body felt unwell, uneasy and malaise in stead for two days. I recommend that for the future, this place should do a pre-consultation with the clients prior to starting to discuss the intensity and the primary chief complaints/reasons for coming in. They merely put one question in the registration form asking about it to which I wrote "lower back pain". And the only follow up question the RMT asked was what kind of pain to which I answered that it was tense/tight. Also, they should provide a brief (maybe 1 minute even) client education about what the expectations should be during the massage. Otherwise, the receptionist and the RMT was friendly and the overall atmosphere of the practice was calm and soothing but no private rooms which I was fine with as there were curtains in between other clients. I usually never write reviews but my experience here was traumatic and there's room for improvements. Hence, my essay-like review :)
