Although, the massage I have had here has been mixed (one RMT was good and two way below average...incidentally, all three no longer work here, which says something in itself...probably about the way the owner treats them and runs her business...many of the negative reviews (here and on Yelp) comment on a lack of respect by the owner and clear disregard for them as people and clients) my issue with this business and warning to potential customers is two-fold. Firstly, Jassy, the owner, appears to lack the business acumen, to understand that customer service is essential in this (and all) business, and that it costs money to make money. Firstly, she refuses to implement direct billing through Pacific Blue Cross and other insurers, and says she just doesn't have the software capabilities( really?) and recently she has implemented a new practice where she does not accept credit payment for the services provided. They only accept debit or cash:-) Also they do not give customers advance warning of this practice when you book your appointment and plead "the small business" blues when one questions the practice and inconvenience to the customer. Perhaps this might make sense to some if they were offering a discount of some sort for the inconvenience, but in fact, their prices are slightly over the average cost of RMT services, and they even have their debit machine set to allow a "tip" which again is highly irregular in my experience.
There are many good massage therapy places, with excellent RMTs, in New West ( Mountain View Wellness, Healthland Wellness, Columbia Integrated Health for example), all of whom provide immediate billing and accept credit card payment for their services. I strongly recommend you stay clear of this place and instead deal with reputable businesses that provide good customer service for their valued customers!
