The team at Royal City Health and Manual therapy are the best. I’ve seen a few different Physios and massage therapists over the last 6 years, each one was professional and well trained. I’ve been seeing my favourite RMT monthly for treatment of chronic headaches (and everything else I have done to injure myself) for 5 years and I would be lost without her. The office staff is super friendly and everything is clean and well maintained.

Super professional and knowledgeable, I had my car accident a month ago and the neck pain has been bothering me for a month, after his treatment (in the morning), for the first time in a month, I have no neck pain nor headache after work. Been getting treatments here since 2018. I haven't had a single negative experience. Jeanie and Victor have been amazing and I am so thankful for their work. They have set great safety guidelines and ALWAYS are checking temperatures to insure the safety of their clients. I am a healthcare worker and I haven't been refused treatment at this clinic. This clinic works with a lot of senior clients and it is understandable for them to refuse service for people like me if we happen to work in COVID19 ICU wards or the ER.

I've been going here for a quite a while now and decided to make sure everyone knows that this is the place to go! Every single time I have an appointment they call to let me know so I don't forget, the reminder is priceless for me (I forget to write down appointments). As someone who has a fairly serious spinal issue I need a place I can rely on. Out of the 9 or so places I've used in the past this one is the best I've ever had. Super friendly staff, always very professional, great location with tons of parking and I'll never leave them. Don't waste your time looking at other options when this one is so good.

The staff at Royal City Manual therapy are helpful and courteous towards the people visiting them for recovery and treatment. The receptionists work around your schedule and not their schedule , taking away any inconvenience it may cause in your busy day. I found Nick especially professional when it came to sharing knowledge about the injury and finding the most comfortable way to deal with it. Never pushing you too hard to re-injure yourself , like the other clinics do , they are always checking to see if your comfortable. ( two thumbs up ) I'm not just saying this after twisting a limb , I actually do extremely hard labor for a living , and I am constantly suffering from severe injuries. I have been to about 5 physio therapy clinics in the past few years and found this one the most effective and professional set up i have ever been to, and will definitely make this my future choice when needed. When I went for my 1st appt., I couldn't move my hip. On a scale of 1-10, my pain was 15. After just one session Mandeep had me mobile and the pain was down to a 2. Three visits later, my hip is fully mobile and pain free. Mandeep is a miracle worker!

Very polite staff and nice waiting area. They offer lots of options for therapy and understand if you want to switch to another therapist during your treatment. There is free parking too. Only thing I found I don't really like is the open area where the physical therapy takes place does not offer alot of privacy.

I went here a couple of times. It was primarily for physio but I did try some of their other services. The staff was definitely nice, but I didn't get a sense that the people providing the services were that knowledgeable. The physio didn't know what was wrong with me and ultimately I saw better results working with a personal trainer at the gym. The chiro didn't really care to maximize our time and sent me home after 5 minutes into a 30 minutes followup session. The nutritionist also didn't provide me with a lot of guidance. She said she doesn't help with meal planning and that I should make my water more fun. Overall I feel like I wasted time and money here and I won't be back. The worst was $180 that wasn't covered for unhelpful nutritional advice.

I brought my son in for physio, his complaint was his legs tightening of muscles. He plays basketball a lot and all those strenuous exercise. After his initial visit - he said as if Nic his physio therapist knew him for a long time. Very knowledgeable, he did not spend a lot of time finding the area where pain originated and right on he offered some tips and exercise on how to loosen up the tight muscle. Very warm and no hesitation of giving the best service beyond our expectations. My son can't wait for his next session with Nic. I got an accident in June this year. The location of Royal City Health and Manual Therapy was convenient for me. There were sufficient parking spots in the mall as well. My last session of massage therapy was done in the last week. Also, the last session of physiotherapy was finished in September. After those treatments, I now feel much better than the start. Thanks to my therapists Ernesto and Nicolas. They both worked very professional and did a great job for me. Moreover, all staff at the front desk were really helpful and polite.

I am impressed at his thoroughness when assessing me, broad range of techniques to try and help me and willingness to work with and listen to my needs and problems. He's been wonderful and I would HIGHLY recommend his services! My only wish is that this clinic would move to online appointment booking as it would make it a lot easier for me than calling and going through dates verbally with the receptionist (even though she is very nice).

5*. If there was 10* Davina would get that! I've been going to this therapy location for few years now, started when they were located on 10th/6th. Initially I had therapist Julia, however she was off on maternity leave(congrats btw) so I was assigned with Davina. Wow! She is awesome! I was scheduled for surgery and she wrote a letter to my surgeon asking if after my surgery I could still continue getting treatment or it would cause an issue. My surgeon cleared me, but she was really surprised that the therapist took the extra time and was actually concerned about my well being ???? I've had couple of issues, with my ribs being popped out and had my rotator cuff messed up. In both cases she right away diagnosed the issue and recommended I seek medical attention from my family doc. She also recommended I see chiropractor (seen one the chiropractor at their location and he was also awesome too). I have regular appointments and she always listens to my concerns and needs and works with me explaining which and how to do stretches to prevent any more damage. I'm very happy with the service they provide, my only wish is they would have more people like Davina as she gets booked fast and one needs to book months in advance. If there was a cloning machine, she should be cloned! Thank you for your ongoing support and treatment on regular basis. Thank you again!

Other Physiotherapists have said that this behaviour is completely unacceptable. It's a shame that this business doesn't support the people who are risking their lives by caring for our loved ones in this time of need and uncertainty. I have been a patient of Rick Tkach's for almost 10 years. I was introduced to him by my daughter, Michelle, who was part of the SFU rowing team. At the time he looked after the entire rowing team. They all loved him. I felt privileged that Rick accepted me as a patient as I thought he was too busy, but he will always go the extra mile for anyone in need. I see him at least 1-2 times per month and he keeps me in good shape. He is awesome at total body stretches, not comfortable mind you, but worth it! He is a natural and seems to be able to get right to the root of the problem. He is knowledgeable about many worldly things, so not only does good deep massages but one also benefits from interesting and informative discussions! I also see Nick, the physio for the past 4 or more years as well as others before him. Nick is a very enthusiastic physiotherapist. He is very thorough in his assessments and always has the latest new tricks up his sleeve. He comes up with very good exercises to cure the injury. He too seems like a natural in what he does! (plantar faciitis and rotator cuff injuries especially!) I usually try to combine Rick and Nick on the same day. The girls in reception ( Joniel, Maria, and Raj to name a few), are amazing at coordinating things to make it all work. They also call or email the day before to make sure it is all confirmed and a good reminder. In fact, everyone at the office maintain a very professional approach and try to be as helpful as possible. (from the very young to the very old) Jeanie, is a very professional and competent overall office manager! She is a multi skilled individual, athletic herself and sets a great example for everyone there. She is never too busy to say "hello and how are you". As I do my exercises I can see how well everyone works together in a relaxed environment. The clinic is spacious and bright and they have the latest up to date equipment to help with every kind of injury. As a health care professional myself, I highly recommend Royal City Health and Manual therapy. BTW, parking is plentiful (free), location easy to find and convenient to be able to do some shopping as well!

I have been a client here initially for MVA related injuries and received excellent treatment all around. My therapists have been considerate, courteous, patient, professional and clear in terms of why certain types of treatment were performed. During the pandemic, when they opened up to provide in person treatment, I have been fully apprised of safety protocols before going to the clinic and know fully what to expect. My well-being and safety is evident from before I walk into the door. Upon entering, I am to sanitize and complete Covid related forms and I’m seated with appropriate partitioning from other patients. Once in the treatment room masks are Worn at all times and I have absolutely no concerns that the staff at the clinic are well versed in what is required of them so that their and their patients’ health and Covid related concerns are held paramount. I wholeheartedly recommend the clinic and am not at all surprised that they have been voted #1 in New West many times over. Keep up the good work !

Very friendly staff, the reminder options are great (i prefer emails). I like them following up on me, compared to other clinics that doesn't care. The reception area is clean, bright and welcoming, I like that they always have fresh flowers to stare on while waiting. My RMTs and PT are very professional. Ernesto is like the human "dry needle", he knows exactly where the pain points are, he is very knowledgeable and educates me how to manage my neck and back pains. Davina is like healer of pains though it's hard to book her, she's always fully booked. Promod makes sure I am comfortable, and encourage me to do home exercise and he tracks my progress. The clinic is in great location also. Parking will never be a problem and you can browse on shops after relaxation.

Davina you rock! You're my superstar! During these hard times with COVID-19, its very selfish of someone complaining about not being treated due them being possible exposed to corona virus. I do understand everyone needs services, but at what cost? We all need to listen to Dr Bonny Henry and avoid large gathering. One person being treated which could technically expose the whole clinic patients, staff. If there was a way to do appointments virtually, then take that option, obliviously, one can't do message, but there are other options, like getting one of those massage guns, the therapist could show you how to use it correctly or have someone within your bubble assist you. I have regular appointments and she always listens to my concerns and needs and works with me explaining which and how to do stretches to prevent any more damage. She has shown me some stretches' to do at home to maintain my issues I'm very happy with the service they provide, my first wish is if they could have more people like Davina as she gets booked fast. If there was a cloning machine, she should be cloned! My second wish is to have a system like other clinics which allows patients to book on line directly maybe to "X" number of appointments. All our life's are busy especially during COVID-19. At the present time, we can only book up 2 months ahead...there has been times when I have missed the opportunity to attend as either I had to cancel or the all the appointments were booked...if I can book ahead up to year that would be great! Thank you for your ongoing support and treatment on regular basis. Don't worry about "one person" who is selfish by wanting to get treatment but exposing others...last time I checked health care workers get in that business to assist people! I had a referral from doctor for Active Rehabilitation so I selected this store!! (Royal City Health and Manual Therapy) in October. They assigned me to a Nutritionist who was not helpful, respectful and communicative, I do not know who was thinking that he was!! I stopped going there because not only the considered exercises were not helpful but also it was the waste of money and time even I did not pay for it. In spite of poor management for assigning me to a Nutritionist (uncommunicative, unhelpful, and disrespectful person) unrelated to active rehabilitation but there was a girl (practicum student) who was friendly, and caring. I do not recommend this place to anybody at all!

I've been going to Royal City manual therapy in the Royal City Center for the last three and a half years. I have been seeing Davina for massage therapy since I started going there and she is just amazing, honestly I don't think I would be where I'm at right now if it wasn't for her. She is so helpful and informs Me of anything that she notices different or that's concerning to her with my treatment. Chi is always sensitive to my needs and very friendly and willing to help in any way that she can. She's been an amazing support for me over the last three and a half years and honestly I don't know what I would do without her or the amazing team at Royal City manual therapy. I have seen other therapist there as well including Victor for acupuncture treatment he is also a great therapist very kind and patient and friendly and also lets me know his concerns and really helps me. Ive seen pramod too for some physio treatment and so did my mother after her workplace injury a few years ago and he is also very friendly very professional very patient and kind and another one of their amazing therapists there. But I cannot forget about the amazing stuff that they have and receptionist everybody there deserves an award they are all friendly patient outgoing and the customer service is amazing. Pramod has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with me during my recovery, most importantly very professional and at the same time honest about the pros and cons of various options and sessions required for treatment. With his help, I was able to fully recover from all the injuries or problems that I've been going to him for. He will continue to be my guy whenever I need to be fixed up! I look forward to my massage appointment every two weeks, as a matter of fact, I book them a year in advance. This is a really nice spacious clinic. The receptionists are very friendly and the Intern Massage Therapist I visit is truly exceptional. She knows exactly what treatment to employ in order to alleviate pain and discomfort. Her treatment is better than most actual RMT treatments I have received at other clinics. When you 1st walk into the clinic your approached by front desk who are very welcoming. The setup of the clinic is really nice, clean and practical. They have also sorts of equipment that help support your recovery. I’ve been seeing Mikey for a number of years, who has helped me overcome a number of sports related injuries. He is an amazing RMT who is able to clearly explain the injury and gets to work straight away. Just make sure you book your appointment in advance!! (He’s that popular) For my physio sessions I’ve been seeing Pramod who has excellent experience. I’ve been doing the IMS needles and the improvements in my recovery has been immense. He is so friendly and sets you up on a recovery plan to get you where you want to be. I’ve recommended this clinic to a number of my friends who like me, speak very highly about them. I am so glad that I was referred to this clinic. I found the staff to be super friendly. My physiotherapist Pramod is very knowledgable in his field. Dry needling seems to be his specialty. I am glad he introduced me to that treatment option. My RMT Mike has been great. I have never had an RMT like Mike. He is the only RMT who was able to get my shoulder/arm moving. I really like how they collaborate with each other when treating same clients. Mike has a long waitlist...but thankfully the front staff take the extra effort to call me any time there is a cancellation. Because of all of them I am able to pursue my life long dream. I can't thank them enough.

However, they’d suggested an alternative place which would not work for me, I said as much yet today the place they’d suggested started calling me while I was at work and leaving me emails. I don’t trust this business since it so willingly gave out my information without my permission and now I’m being harassed by a clinic that must be very hard up for patients to be bothering me on multiple platforms throughout the day. This place is amazing! I've had 2 knee surgeries this year and they've been there every step of the way through pre hab and recovery. Nick (my physio) was the first one to suspect a torn ligament, even before my actual doctor, I was so impressed. Besides that I had one of the massage therapists (Mikey) get rid of a shoulder pain I had for over a year just in two sessions!! Go here if you care about your body.

After waiting almost three weeks for treatment for an injury sustained at work, I was refused treatment on the day of my appointment. Why? Because I’m a nurse that takes care of COVID 19 positive patients. I’ve never experienced this at any other business, especially one staffed by health care professionals, who should know better how to accurately assess true risk present when wearing proper PPE, as well as the ethical commitments of a health care profession. I spoke to the manager and apparently none of the 4 physios working would see me, as they had decided their stance months ago when presented with a similar decision. Disappointing that they have decided this, and disappointing that they did not inform me of this 3 weeks ago when I made the appointment. My response to this clinic’s reply - If you see a description of a client’s experiences as an attempt to damage your clinic, perhaps some self reflection and policy change is in order. You say you’re doing your best to stay open and help all your clients? This isn’t your best. Fortunately, not all physiotherapy or medical clinics refuse to see front line health care workers.Thankfully, your neighboring business, West Coast Medical Imaging, didn’t refuse me their services. It would be one thing if I had covid or signs or symptoms of it, in which case I wouldn’t dream of coming in to the clinic. True, the manager did offer tele health services, but how useful is telehealth physiotherapy in an acute phase of injury? Perhaps later on in treatment, ie, when one is just checking in on how exercises are going, but not when manual therapy is needed. Again, no other business I’ve encountered treats front line health care workers like this, not my eye doctor, my dentist, my GP, my OB, my RMT, laboratory services, nor other physiotherapy clinics. Your clinic is the exception.

I have been going to this clinic for years now and everyone from the front desk staff to the physiotherapists and RMTs are a delight! I have been seeing Nick for quite a few years now unfortunately due to being involved in a few accidents and he is always trying to help me get better and stronger. He is always trying out different techniques such as IMS, acupuncture, massage, stretches and different strength training exercises. I appreciate how involved he is in helping me heal. I have also been seeing Mikey for a while as well and he has been great as well! I always leave feeling less stiff and overall relaxed. I have been going to Royal City Health off and on over the years as I have some chronic issues with my neck and back. Lately I've been treated regularly by massage therapist Mike, who is absolutely fantastic. The pain and stiffness that I experience really limits what I am able to do comfortably; after a massage treatment, I'm pain-free and ready to get on with my day. I send my kids here as well; they're in a lot of sports and are prone to sport-related injury and muscle tightness. Jeannie, Julia, Mike and Lisa have successfully treated them which helped them prepare for and compete in provincial, national and international competitions. We are very thankful for this amazing team of very competent therapists. The clerical staff at the front desk are friendly and professional.
