I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brennan and the Active Balance team. They are a positive and professional group dedicated to providing the highest quality of service to their clients. Dr. Brennan identified, explained in detail and treated (through manual adjustments and prescribing exercises) an issue that I have been trying to resolve for years. Dr. Brennan took the time to demonstrate the exercises clearly, explained what the purpose of the various exercises were and continued to introduce new ones during subsequent treatments based on my progress. The results have been nothing but positive. Without a doubt the best chiropractor I have worked with.

I went to Vancouver General Hospital before coming to Nelson. I went to VGH with severe dizziness and vertigo, after an mri, blood work and ecg, I was told to go to a physiotherapist for BPPV syndrome. The physio did the epley maneuver and told me I would be fine to ski, so I headed to Nelson the next day. When I woke up in Nelson I couldn’t walk or see properly so I went to Kootenay lake emergency, where they repeated the same tests as vgh and all were inclunclusive; however, the e.r doctor wanted me to see dr Brennan who she noted was a BPPV expert. Dr Michael Brennan thoroughly examined me and determined I did not have BPPV and said he was not a medical dr but that I most likely had an inner ear infection. You went back to the hospital where the e.r Dr called in a neurologist who diagnosed me with vestibular neuritis (inner ear nerve infection). Dr Brennan saved my health as it is imperative to be diagnosed ASAP and given prednisone while experiencing vestibular neuritis.

I went to see Dr. Brennan with an extremely sore back. Dr. Brennan quickly saw what was troubling me and gave me a hip belt and some excercises to do and told me that i should be able to ski by December and I was skiing by the end of November. A+ rating

Hello everyone, I was recently on vacation in Nelson and I was experiencing back pain :-|,,, I have had lower back pain for thirty years, It has been a problem that I've always had to contend with and at times can be more than extreme. I called Dr. Brennan and he was gracious enough to squeeze me in on short notice, I explained my situation to him and he looked at me and said " I can fix this",, I was more than curios to say the least, he explained to me that for years I have been treating the symptom and not the cause, and then showed me some strengthening exercises and gave me a support belt to wear Immediately I could feel a difference!!!! I'm a very discerning individual and I'm not easily persuaded by anything other than what works,, as well as being a good judge of character ,, If you don't go to see this doctor for what's bothering you , your flat out missing the boat! Dr. Brennan knew exactly, and very quickly, how to relieve me of the pain I had been experiencing in my shoulder and arm for over a month. He suspected that it was the result of a rib that had become dislocated from sleeping incorrectly, and he was right.
