I’ve been here a few times and Lulu is the best! She really knows her stuff and was immediately able to localize my trigger points/muscles knots. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for some of the others, as one of the massage therapists just seemed to rub oil over my skin without taking into consideration the tender spots I mentioned. Also, I hear stuff like “your next client is a fatso” in Chinese often. So yes, your paranoia has indeed been validated.

An amazing experience! I got a mix of Chinese and Swedish massage, it was more relaxing than a whole day at the spa. My masseuse was obviously highly experienced, and worked expertly on my specific area of tension. My neck and shoulders were extremely stiff before I went, it had been killing me for days and this massage made it all better. It would definitely recommend it for athletes with strained muscles and knots, or simply for an amazingly relaxing experience (great Christmas gift idea!).

Went for a Swedish massage and my wife got a foot reflexology here. Both were not satisfying at all. Does very light work on the body. No remarkable skills. Wife said they just put some oil on legs and just rubbed. She didn't even feel the difference before and after. Not going there again. Waste of money.

I went for a 90 minute Swedish massage session; the massage itself was great, in fact one of the best massages I've had. I prefer high pressure massages/deep tissue, and Yuna was able to deliver an impressive amount of pressure. Her technique used to find and relieve knots was super interesting, and it was great to talk with her about it and ask questions as she went. One thing I thought could be improved was the reception area. I think the area could benefit greatly from a few more places to sit, as I had no where to sit when tying up my shoe laces, and constantly felt like I was in the way when bending down to do said task. Overall though I've recommended this place to friends and family, as I believe the value for money is fantastic and worth exploring. Thanks!

Lulu and Dr. Zhang Li are both my therapists. They are really caring and listen to your needs. As someone who suffers from chronic back pain due to sitting for long hours and not enough physical activity, i decided to go see Lulu. She relieved me from my back pain and recommended that i see an acupuncturist Dr. Li. I would usually go for a combo and having a massage after the acupuncture really helps with my back. I would recommend both and i would also go back to see them at least once a month to keep my pain at bay.

Horrible experience! I went for a Deep tissue 1H massage thinking these people are experts and actually know basic anatomy but hell nooo...the girl was pulling my skin and pinching my back and when I told her to lower the pressure she started rubbing my body like my grandma. This was a full body massage she barely did any work on my legs and even skipped my feet. I woke up the next morning feeling like I took a beating on my back and my legs are still sore I would sue them if I had the time and energy but it’s not worth it. Veryyyy unprofessional and uneducated.

I can't say that I know a lot about messages as I have only had a few but I can say that the message I had was great. I felt really relaxed and the pain I was having in my back was gone. The masseuse was able to apply a solid amount of pressure, more than other messages I have had in the past and the hour long massage was much more reasonably priced than some of the other places in the city. I went there withy wife for a couple massage. We took the Hybrid options which is a mix of Swedish and Chinese and it was amazing. The woman who operated on me was strong and completely untangled my muscles. It felt good and focused. You can see they have really good training and master their craft. I have been to Cathay Massage's Guy Concordia location twice and have been very happy with my visits. The two therapists I've seen provided excellent massage. They worked hard and took direction well. It is very easy to book an appointment, they seem to always have a therapist available in the near future. They provide receipts for insurance plans. They also have a loyalty rewards system, which is nice. The facilities are nice, but there may be accessibility issues for people with disabilities. If this applies to you, you may want to investigate first.

I had a great experience here with Minami. I asked her to focus on my neck and upper/mid back and she did a great job releasing the tension in that area. Pressure was fairly strong, how I like it, and was nicely maintained throughout the session. The room was very clean. 60 mins isn't enough in my opinion. Would do 90 mins and would book with Minami again! The young lady at the desk was very welcoming and offered water after my session. Rates are reasonable. Will be back!

Highly recommended if you prefer deep tissue massage! My second time in 6 months, I had 60 min Massage therapy with Lisa. It was a mix between swedish and Chinese deep tissue massage. Communication was limited but she understood my pain or problem and applied best ever techniques and treatments. Well done Lisa. Very reasonable priced, the best of all is after 60 min done I took 5 min shower in the same room. Very refreshing. Clean cotton sheets.

I came here because of the reviews. Sadly I did not come out with the same enthusiasm. If you want to just relax in a clean looking environment, than this may do the trick. That said, if you want a bit more for your body, time and money, hassle-free, do read the cons before you decide to book here. Pros: Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, in-room showers, easy booking system online, massage was relaxing, (and oil was dabbed off). (+5 points) Cons: I did not get a full body massage as requested (despite communicating this before and during, the therapist was reluctant in doing anyone's feet, barely covered that, arms as well, and ignored hands and head - and note I take pride in being clean well groomed before a massage, so that is not the issue); the therapist came in late, and also rushed the end to dash out as she was "late for an event"; I was also asked to come back another day for my insurance receipt as it was left blank. (- 3 points) Notice : For those in a wheel-chair or with troubles walking there is a spiralled staircase to get up to the rooms, and a few steps for the in-room showers. For those booking online, the 'final' confirmed price is before taxes. [Edit] The canned auto-reply to my post here is not helping to show a genuine concern for customer satisfaction. In person, I was faced with protest to change the rating, promising better the next time... but as a business this is not how I would want to remedy a bad experience.

Not the first time I have been there. Maybe about twice before today. Always had a different woman massaging me. Very amateur like, not massaging but mostly caressing the back when I asked her to work my upper body for my aches. Today I called the place, telling myself : maybe i just never had the right massotherapist , I asked for someone professionnal who actually is a certified massotherapist. I don’t know if they clean the bed between every clients, but the bed smelled like human sweat. I had to pass a whipe myself , for the smell was very strong on the cushion. She was late. And preformed a similar massage than the two last gave me. Either caressing my back, or killing my spine. I unfortunetly do not recommend this place for someone who wants to work their pain and aches. It’s mainly just relaxions massages.

To begin with, when I called to book a 1-hour massage yesterday, they did not honour their promotion as advertised online. According to their website, for first time customers, there is a 10$ discount on the regular price of 59.99$ for a 1-hour massage. However, the receptionist gave a lame excuse and explained that the prices used to be 69.99$ and now they are discounting 10$ for everyone, not just for first time customers. I was highly skeptical because if the website was indeed outdated, then 69.99$ should have been listed on their website instead of the "current" 59.99$. Nevertheless, I let it slide and booked my appointment anyway. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by a multitasking receptionist: she summoned my massage therapist, talked to me, and talked to another customer behind me all at once. I was impressed by the decor and ambiance of the clinic. My serious-looking massage therapist lead me to a large room and thus began the massage, which was very average. At times, it was painful, at other times, the strokes could barely be felt. Also, I could smell her offensive breath. **One of the reasons why I decided to consult was because I have been doing a lot of physical exercise lately (both cardio and weight training), and I have developed slight pain in my right leg. When I brought up the issue of leg pain, the massage therapist just retorted "It's because you sit all day and don't exercise." I was shocked and appalled that a supposedly trained and licensed therapist would leap to such a conclusion without asking any follow-up questions and assume that I lead a sedentary lifestyle.** **She then asked me if I had back pain, but before I can even respond, she concluded that I do because it's been humid and raining the past few days. I was at a loss for words at this point. Was she really a regulated and insured practitioner, or was this all a load of hocus-pocus?** After paying in cash, the receptionist just expected me to leave. I waited for a few seconds to give her the chance to offer me a receipt, but she had no intention of doing so, so there was a moment of awkward silence. Purportedly, this clinic values high standards and integrity. Their website states they follow "rules of hygiene and asepsis" and select "regulated and insured practitioners". This isn't some cheap dingy parlor in Chinatown. This is supposed to be a clinic with a reputation to uphold. In my opinion, offering a receipt systematically, or at the very least, asking if I would like one, should be common practice. When I realized that the onus was on me in order to get a receipt, I was already frustrated at the concept and couldn't be bothered so I just left. This final transaction left a very bad taste in my mouth, thus the 1-star rating instead of 2 or 3. All in all, I did not enjoy my experience at this clinic and will not be coming back. Granted, the receptionist was friendly, the location is convenient, the facilities are clean, the ambiance is nice. I can overlook the misleading online promotion not being honoured, and not even getting a receipt; but at the end of the day, the crux of the matter, the massage itself, left much to be desired.

The first time I went here, I left with a migraine. The second and third time, I enjoyed my experience overall. I just didn't like that the staff demand tips very openly. Tips are ment to be optional and up to the decision of the person whos paying for the service. Today I booked an appointment for a massage at a specific time and later the masseuse asked me to come in a little earlier if possible. It was sort of an inconvenience but I managed to rush from work and get there on time. I arrived there and sat in the lobby for 25 minutes waiting for someone to come. I could hear two girls in the back but despite deliberately making noise hoping one of them might come, I ended up leaving. Im not satisfied with the level of professionalism and will be seeking therapeutic massages elsewhere.

My husband booked me a massage for my birthday since this place had decent ratings and was open on weekends. The staff was friendly but the massage was definitely not worth it. My shoulder bone was visibly bruised the next day from her hitting it with her elbow over and over and she aggravated an old injury in my shoulder as well. While some of the massage did feel nice it wasn’t worth the pain I’m in now a week later. I also assumed full body included your feet but she did not touch mine. The place seems to be under renovations as well and I did not have a shower in my room nor did anybody tell me where I could have one.

Not a professional place. When I arrived they told me I would be with someone else. I booked for reflexology and I guess they didn't communicate properly with the replacement because I got a massage instead... if you can call it that. The movements were really fast and rushed and I was tense the entire time. I didn't get to talk to the masseuse before or after, so I couldn't discuss areas of pain or preferences.

Last minute all of my appointments were cancelled with an excuse that she has an emergency and I was offered to have my massage done by somebody who is not a RMT. I came because of the reviews and because I live close, and you can't argue with this price. Also was wondering if these reviews were fake or not. Had a one hour massage - She spent 50 minutes on my back, 5 minutes on my legs (no feet) - then turned over and had 5 minutes and it was over. This could be, as a former athlete my back had many knots. That being said, the work she (Lulu?) did on my back was spectacular. Lots of strength and power. She knew the spots and back feels amazing. Maybe I needed more time. As someone else mentioned, reception seems rushed and stressed. This could be cultural, but investing in a well-spoken (bilingual) calm receptionist would really help this spa. Would I go back? I'm split. The expertise is there, the client experience is lacking, compared to most other spas - even if I would have to pay more elsewhere.

Lulu was the one who did it, and she recommended to try the Chinese massage next time. I came next time to try the Chinese massage...and it was the best massage I ever had. My only suggestion would be a warmer welcoming (people working in the reception area spoke a bit loud and seemed very rushed). This would also apply when I was paying at the end. Also, instead of using dry paper towels to dry the oil off my skin, I suggest using warm cloth towels, it would feel much better on the skin and especially after a massage.

This spa is very beautiful! Rooms are very clean and spacious. The first time, I made appointment by call. I asked a lot of information when I made appointment. The receptionist was so patiently and answered all my questions, their types of massage, which to fix which problem, and some questions about insurance receipt. My therapist is very professional, she fixed a lot of knots, tension and soreness on my body. Especially on the next day, I felt super better! I highly recommend this place, because i have so many stress, the massage made me completely relaxed, psychologically and physically! while doing the massage, the therapist is super nice and very concerned about my feeling. She was keeping confirm with me if the pressure is ok and which part prefer to focus more. I wouldn't refer to this place as a spa. It is more of a massage centre. When you arrive at the reception area, while clean, it does not give off a zen vibe. The massage rooms are up a flight of stairs. They are clean and do have showers. I have bern there a few times now. The massages have been good. The masseuses I have had are skilled although their knowledge of English and French is somewhat limited. Cheaper than most other placed though. 1 hr basic massage is $59.99 + tax. Close to a metro but parking can be difficult. They also offer acupuncture and reflexology.

If you need a therapeutical massage to remove knots then definitely choose Tracy, Monica or Jacky. I wouldn't vouch for their other masseuses as their style appears to be more rough. A star is taken off for their amenities. Their massage tables are uncomfortable for the face to the point that it cuts into your skin. Also, I still find it odd that tipping (highly suggested) is almost forced upon you when it's technically a medical service (i.e. you wouldn't start tipping your doctor, physiotherapist, chiropractor, etc. )

She was Cleary and embarrassingly flirting with him. Giggling like a school girl, especially when she hurt him. A few times she said ...and I quote "oh you like the pain, when I hurt you it's good?" Followed by over the top giggling. It was his first massage and the farthest thing from a relaxing experience. She ruined the entire massage.

I got a foot massage with Jenny. I really did NOT enjoy it. For starters she was late and she didn’t compensate for the lost time. She also had nails, so the experience was unpleasant and painful. I went there to relax and i left even more tense. I definitely do NOT recommend this place! It is a waste of time and money!
