I have some experience in naturopathy, after seeing one for over a year in B.C.. I was looking for one here in Montreal and came across Zeina. She has no reviews on google (should have been a red flag), only testimonials on her website. When I saw hockey player Georges Laraque was one of her clients, I thought maybe she was good. When I walked into the clinic, I immediately felt off. Her secretary was fairly cold, and not very welcoming and Zeina was standing there seeming cold as well. Usually for naturopathy or any type of homeopathy visit you should feel at ease as they tend to be very spiritual. Not this place. I spent almost two hours sitting with Zeina while she read off a piece of paper - a check list of things - asking if I experienced any of them. Normally they are supposed to examine you as a person and ask your general history... So it was very robotic and not personal at all. I went for weight loss help mainly. In the end she told me to not look at numbers anymore (which I thought was smart considering I knew this already but sometimes its good to hear someone else say it - lbs and blood pressure numbers). Eat my greens and see how things go. She insisted I see her 10 more times for the best results. Whatever this means. Aren't we all different? Zeina didn't leave me with any tools because she doesn't believe in supplements, apps, or any sort of guide. Her advice was strictly calorie based - 1700 calories a day - low fat - low sodium - but no actual education on super foods, or things I can try. She did give me some brief lentil recipes (boil lentils..thats about it..) I didn't learn a thing from this visit, I felt uncomfortable, and I canceled all 10 visits she asked for. I found another naturopath very similar to the one I had out west who does their job properly. They give me the freedom to choose how often I go, and are more educated in natural medicine. Zeina is more a dietician than a naturopath. Waste of money and time.

Zeina has been my massage therapist for well over 6 years now and I highly recommend her to anyone. She knows my history, she can easily locate any discomfort joints very easily and she's very knowledgeable. When she starts talking about muscles I can't even pronounce... that means I can trust her! I'll admit, not all visits are the same depending on the weather, what I do the next day, how you re-hydrate, what kind of activities you do and even the most basics things such as how you sit on the couch... all have consequences on any back pain treatments and how you feel the next few days. She's not going to magically heal you, but she sure helps. If pain needs to go away, the patient needs to make some efforts too! I tried several massage places throughout the years; some good, some awful. But at least I know I'm well served at Zeina's. If I ask her to focus on a specific area a certain way or to my liking, she'll do it.
