I have challenging hips and glutes from sitting all day. Maria is like an RMT, Physio and Chrio in one because she uses ART and helps release the knots then gives exercises to improve the posture. She is a kind and lovely person and plays great music so I am able to relax well. I would highly recommend.

This is hands down my best massage experience. Maria is very knowledgeable, skilled, and observant therapist. What sets her apart from other massage therapist is the way she employs her background in kinesiology. Maria carefully assesses her client's condition (for example, posture) and regularly gives exercise suggestions and advice that extend and enrich the benefits of the excellent massage she provides each and every time. I wholeheartedly recommend Maria to anyone who wants to get the most out of their massage therapy sessions.

I'm really reluctant to write this review, because the more people who rush to make appointments with Maria, the harder it's gonna be for ME to get in! I have seen A LOT of massage therapists in my life, dealing with back injuries, multiple MVAs, and the typical pains, knots, and tension from working a desk job and getting older. But I'm gonna have to say, Maria is the BEST RMT I have EVER been to. Though only my age, I'd swear she's been doing this for 100 years-- there is no hesitation in the movement of her hands as she finds all the problem spots, and expertly manipulates your body around to access, stretch, release those ornery muscles. Great pressure (I hate a whimpy massage), excellent communication, and a lovely "presence." Thanks so much, Maria!

Found Maria via google maps and her reviews stood out. Her in home basement studio was clean and welcoming. Covid protocols in place and very safe. Maria spent time learning what I was looking for and used the full hour massage to address my concerns. Amazing pressure and really felt where the trouble spots were. Her pricing is amazing and next time I’m in town I’ll definitely return. Felt like a new person walking out of there (for your appointment just go ring the front doorbell. There is no separate entrance)

Just had my first appointment back with Maria after everything was shut down for Covid... SO great to be back! I have been to many RMTs over the years but I can honestly say that Maria is by far one of the best that I have ever seen. She is professional and respectful and although I often end up chatting, she would be happy to let me just relax and not say anything. She does an amazing deep tissue massage and offers suggestions for stretching as well as preventative measures I could be taking. She is extremely knowledgeable and I am so glad that I have found her!! Highly recommend!!!

I have been going to Maria for massage for nearly two years. With a series of car accidents, workplace injuries, underlying health conditions, and general clumsiness - I have a lot of neck and back issues that are often very difficult to effectively treat. I didn't realize the true difference an effective massage could make, when being treated by a provider who took the time to understand my issues, and seriously treat the problem areas until I started going to Maria. She is by far the most effective RMT i have used in over 20 years, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Five stars massage therapist! Maria is my favourite RMT in the whole Halifax area simply because she is soooo good! I always develop tension knots in my trapezius muscles because of stress and my lousy posture. Maria has years of experience, and her background in kinesiology gives her that expertise to target the right areas in just the right way. She uses advanced massage techniques like deep tissue massage and gentle releasing of muscle tension through active release technique (ART). Not many RMTs in Halifax practice active release technique or know how to do it at all, and Maria is AMAZING at it! I strongly recommend Maria to all of my friends and anyone looking for personable and effective massage therapist. She is THE BEST!
