I have been using the services here for one year and half. I did not miss one single appointment. An appointment today was missed since I had forgotten about booking it. Now they are charging me the amount for the RMT's time. Although they offered me 50% off, I find this whole situation to be absolutely unfair. They said that a staff left a voicemail for a phone reminder yesterday at 3 PM but I did not receive one. I did not get a phone call, email, or text message reminder. This is clear that it is negligent on their part yet I am the one being penalized for FORGETTING an appointment. Unbelievable.

0 Star Rating if Possible. The masseuse actually raised her voice at me for.... not relaxing. The reason I was in for a massage in the first place was because my muscles were extremely tight. They have less than zero customer service, and was shocked that I paid for someone to make me feel uncomfortable and raise their voice. Unreal. Other locations might be good, but St.Catharine's is a nightmare. You will leave feeling more stressed out like I did.

They have a plan for 1 massage a month for 6 months, and 1 massage a month for a year. Otherwise it's $100 per. I would commit to 6 over a year, but it's not offered, so I doubt I'll be back.

Used to be a huge fan... but having to book well over a month in advance isn't working for me. I called in one afternoon and asked if they had anyone available at all for the coming week (I called on Monday) after 4pm... they had no one till 3 weeks later. I was put on a cancellation list and was called the 2nd week in for a late appointment. In that time I ended up having a massage at another place. It's hard to give a good review to a place you can't get services from without a lot of effort. The place is clean though, so it all feels very fresh! I used to be greeted with water after my massage, but they seemed to have stopped doing that. A little sad really... Also, don't sign on for the "membership" you often can't get an appointment and then you pay for massages you can't use. Or at the very least, life happens and you move - and you have these credits you can't use.

You get what you pay for. Massage addict is a little cheaper than most massage places, but the quality of treatment reflects it. I've been getting regular massage treatment for about 8 years now, and spent two at Massage Addict. It was a revolving door of massage therapists during my time there, and I'd usually only have, at most, 3-5 treatments with a therapist before they were gone, and I'd have to start over fresh with a new therapist to learn my needs and develop treatment. Often times the new one would be terrible, and I'd spend several months bouncing around therapists, receiving poor treatments, until I found one that was adequate to continue with. Massages were often more in the form of a firm back rub, than an actual treatment. 4/5 massages I'd have there, I'd leave feeling like my needs and muscle pain and knots were not at all addressed. I kept going back because I wanted to find that gem of a therapist there to save some money, but never did. I spend a little more on treatment now at Knots (can I say their name here?) massage in Waterloo and get a very accomplished treatment and work regularly with the same therapist, who has been there since they opened, and who knows my needs and works on my muscles and makes recommendations, sometimes even for an extra treatment when things are bad, to ensure we continue making progress. I spend a little more now, but the quality of treatment is ten times that which I received at Massage Addict. If you enjoy massage and have never been anywhere but MA before, then I encourage you to check out an established clinic to see the difference. Sure, I pay more out of pocket now after my benefits, but it's been worth it and I've been feeling a lot better since leaving massage addict.

Today I had my first ever massage. The experience was exactly what I hoped it would be. After reading through the bios provided on the Massage Addict site, I chose Caitlin. They required little direction from me aside from a health history form I had filled out prior to my appointment, and of course, we discussed my major complaint- knots in my neck, and shoulder blades. The atmosphere, and Caitlin's energy were extremely relaxing and reassuring, not to mention, the physical pressure they employed was perfect! I am very much looking forward to my next appointment. I really enjoy this massage therapy clinic, it is close to home and I’ve been a client for several massage therapists there, I find them to all be patient and respectful, and I’ve had no issues with requesting amounts of pressure to be increased or decreased. I attend appointments regularly and have never had an issue with cancellations and find the clinic to be very accommodating with booking. They also direct bill which makes insurance a million times easier!

I really enjoyed my time at Massage Addicts. Upon entry the receptionist gave me a warm greeting. Soon after I was directed to my room. It was clean and the ambient music really fit. Inside the room I explained to the masseuse I was a first time customer and I had no idea what to do. Although I have poor communication skills she listened patiently; then responded accordingly with very clear instructions. The masseuse inquired about any points she should really focus on to which she could tailor the massage for the best experience. 5 outta 5 I felt fantastic.

I have been a client of massage addict for many years and have just moved down to this one in the last year. The staff is fantastic and I've always pretty much had a great massage experience. I noticed the last time I was in the face cloths that are in the washroom to be used to dry your hands look really dingy. Perhaps they should swap back to paper towels. Also I'm happy that they're washing the sheets but yesterday when I got on the table they were still damp and not warm and I mean yes they do warm up with your body temperature but it's still a uncomfortable feeling getting on clammy sheets. When I got off I noticed that they were also well worn. Maybe time for a linen refresh.

My wife has to finish the session within 15 min and she was not even provided proper exit curtseys of a massage table. Massage with Emily. I asked her kindly over 10 times in the course of an hour to please do deep tissue and rather than that she just gently open palmed rubbed lotion on my back for 60 minutes. I found it so stressful I stopped the massage and when I told the reception all they said was that Emily is very good. Perhaps she was having an off day, but I will not be returning. If you prefer a massage tailored to your individual needs or like deep tissue, I suggest asking for a different masseuse rather than Emily. Or just try a different massage company altogether.

It is a good place, I brought my wife here for the first time and she liked it. The staff is friendly and the massager who attended my wife was very professional. He knew it was her first time in the place and he made her feel very comfortable and confident. She left the place with a very good impression. We heard all of the massagers are qualified and well prepared. You have to make an appointment and when you get you can specify if you have a particular need or an area where you need more attention. Good for relaxing and also therapeutic massages.

I went for relaxation, Did not enjoy the first massage i received here with "Lisa" , The owner told me, you just have to find the right Massage therapist whose right for you, So she booked me another appointment with a gentlemen named "Andrew" And I must say He knows exactly what's he doing, He's very skilled and has been doing this all his life. Highly recommend going to see this guy, Never felt better and loose after getting a massage. Andrew was great, we communicated well, Will come back again 100%. (Lisa did not use her thumbs, so its harder to hit certain points and muscles. Andrew did great at this.)

The rooms are peaceful, and the music is very relaxing, like a spa. I injured my right shoulder and Melanie, the Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) knew exactly how to apply just the right amount of pressure in the right place. Extremely knowledgeable and very professional. You can easily book online and don’t let the word membership scare you away. Check it out. You may find you really won’t want to leave. The only risk is wanting to stay. I highly recommend Massage Addict. Don’t go to any other place. This is the best !!!

First, let me start off by saying that I have Health Insurance Benefits that cover 80% of the cost of my massage. I was a bit skeptical about having to commit to 1 massage a month. I mean, I've had coverage for 15 years and only used massage therapy occasionally. As I can attest to now, my lack of initiative in booking massages in the past was regrettable. I would encourage one to try out several massage therapists at this location prior to determining a favourite therapist as they very much vary by style. What might be the best for one person may not be for another. I have experienced a range of 'very good' to 'just okay' massages here, so I know now which ones to choose when booking an appointment. The excellent thing about becoming a member is that others in your household are able to receive massages for the same low price but don't have to commit to one per month. Let's face it, I love massages and have been lazy making appointments - until now. I hope this idea catches on, since now, due to the low price, I can have even more massages per year before I reach my max limit.

My visit with Stephanie was HORRIBLE. I am sorry to give 1 star, but here are my reasons: She was 8 minutes late and didn't make up for it. She used latex GLOVES during the whole massage - I found that very odd. And she never even asked if I had skin sensitivities to latex. The massage was horrible. I think there are better massage therapists here, but for that reason, I had to give 1 star. Unless management is able to rectify this issue, this is my review.

I've had 4 massages there before yesterday, and they were good. But yesterday for once i felt it was a bad massage. I feel it didn't help at all. I don't want to mention names, but be sure to tell them you don't like what they are doing. Some of them don't have a technique and I felt yesterday that someone at home can do a better job than she did. I wouldn't choose the person from yesterday again. Plus she was breathing all over my face when i flipped on my back lol that was really annoying. It wasn't worth the money at all for that time.

Massage Addict is still open during the Shutdown and operates under very good Covid-19 protocols. They keep a list of all who visit, take temperatures at the door, and have distanced seating available while you wait for your appointment. The staff wear medical masks when doing your session. We've attended for massages and for the chiropractor. Both were great experiences with kind, friendly staff. They worked to solve issues in areas of need and give you advice on how to prevent injuries in the future.

A corporate chain for massage? Hard pass. While there are *some* talented RMTs here, it's like comparing a home-cooked meal to terrible fast food. Corporations don't care about their employees, their quality, what goes into their training and like most, exploit their employees to make the chain richer and this is apparent at Massage Addict. Please do yourself a favour and find someone who is independent with a good rep, places like this need to disappear.

This morning I received a relaxing full body massage from Nicolette S. at Massage Addict - Kitchener. I was greeted with a peaceful atmosphere and welcoming staff. My massage was exactly what I was looking for and I highly recommend Nicolette! Without me having to explain my medical history in depth in regards to injuries (apart from the forms/checklist you fill out before your first appt.), she was able to identify conditions and tensions in my muscles from sports/car accident injuries that had resulted in muscle related issues months/years after the fact. She was able to identify problem areas by looking at my natural movements while breathing as well as through touch. She then gradually increased her pressure as she worked through my full body massage so that my muscles warmed up to her touch and I felt comfortable the entire time. Nicolette checked in with me throughout the service to ensure I was comfortable with the pressure and that I was feeling alright. Nicolette is very knowledgable about the human body and is a very capable RMT. At the end, I was offered water and this small gesture proved to me just how professional and knowledgable she is as drinking water is important after a massage. This was the best massage I ever had and I will be continuing to book with Nicolette as I wouldn't trust anybody else with the health and wellness of my body.

Amazing! I messed my hip up while stretching (you know you're getting old when...) and was in severe pain all day. I was lucky enough to get in to see Paul for a massage the same day and he saved me! I used to love this place. Got two hour massages every month that were quite therapeutic for me. However I have experienced too many fee increases and too much employee attrition to continue expecting reliable service and being delivered unprofessionalism. I booked an appointment over 30 days ago for a two hour and today, Saturday, I get an email advising that my Monday appointments were cancelled, that the person I was supposed to see was fully booked until her last day of employment and that there were no other openings available. Perhaps I expected way too much.

I start getting my massages on this place since November of 2017, started with Dave, who is an excellent massage therapist, service was great by this time, the girl at the FD was nice with a good service and I got the membership with them for the year. I went with my benefits card and they did all the process to withdraw with my insurance company by this time, was amazing!!.. On June of this 2018 I started my massages with Ram, which is another amazing massage therapist, I will highly recommend him! But the staff at the front desk was not friendly anymore, they really lower their guest services with the guest even when you have a membership, of course this does not apply to the massage therapist. When you have the membership, to get the membership rates, you have to at least get one massage per month. Since I start my membership I never receive emails that will remind you when is the due date of this massage, and if you do not have track of your own massages you will get charge. On July they start sending the emails, which was a very good update of their system, and once they charge me for not getting the massage on time without sending me an email, I had to contact them and deal with it in order to process it back. Problem solved by the moment. When I tried to use back my benefits card on the last three massages and they always has a different excuse to not use them. The last time there was a problem with it and they were extremely rude at the front desk and not able to help me with it, even when my insurance company allowed them to help they for some reason refuse to do the exactly same thing that they did when I started to get my massages here and I got my membership. The customer service was the worst one that I experience in my life, and it was the owner with the manager dealing with it and to be honest was something extremely disappointing because they have excellent massage therapist but the worst customer service. I will not recommend this place at all if you are looking to relax and enjoy your massage because you will be stressed about how bad their customer service and their lack of help once you get what they want that is the membership. Definitely terrible!!!!

My massage was really good the second time around but they need to be more clear about what a 60 minute massage is. it’s not 60 minutes it’s about 45-50 minutes. Even if you go early (as recommended) doesn’t matter because they only take you in right at your start time and then they do an assessment this cuts into your massage time and also the time it takes you to change. I’ve gone many times for massages but never had them cut my time short for an assessment or changing time. I appreciate the owner giving me this as complementary session as the first experience I had wasn’t so great but I’m overall just not happy with how they manage the massage time. Thank you

My massage was absolutely amazing. I normally go to this location once a month. I left for work for 5 months and asked them to pause my account and they said it was no big deal for when I finally got back - I called to follow up once I was back and they said everything was good. Once I received my massage they told me that I was no longer a member and had membership price nor did anything for their screw up not being organized and putting the right things on the file. Extremely disappointed and I will no longer be going to Massage Addicts Guelph when I was a very loyal client over the past few years. I’d like to emphasize I paid $135.59 + tip for a 30 minute massage because of this screw up (I was 15 minutes late and was my fault). But to tell me “I’m the manager and things weren’t run right before” is no excuse for poor customer service.

When I met my therapist he was jamming a protein bar in to his mouth up to his knuckles. All I could think was I hope he washes his hands before he gives me a massage. During the hour massage he kept pausing, leaving one hand still on my back while he drank a chocolate protein shake. I know it was choclchoc flavour because I could smell it. He seem to grow tired of massaging me and began to use a wooden stick with large beads on it. He rolled it up and down my spine and it was extremely painful when it went over each vertebrae. I will never return, I am horrified. My sister is an RMT out of town. When I told her what happened she said in all her career she had never heard of such awful experience.

EDIT/UPDATE November 2020: I found out that the Fanshawe clinic has had a change of management, which I'm extremely happy about. As a former employee and a client I can say that it was much needed! All the employees who work at the clinic deserve to be treated fairly and have the opportunity to work in a calm and relaxing workplace atmosphere. When I entered the clinic today and had the opportunity to chat with the new owners/managers, it was exactly that. They were extremely welcoming and nice. I have great hopes that every person who enters the clinic will feel that as well. I am updating my rating to what it should be! Previous review October 2019: I guess it's considered a "normal business practice" to have negative reviews removed because truth hurts. Having worked there for 2.5 years I can account for the fact that every word said was true. The RMT'S are some of the greatest people I've ever met and are really good at what they do. The owners/managers of this and the other 2 clinics in London should reconsider the field they are in, because people skills and management skills are lacking to say the least. I'm not one for bashing, but when you speak up and ask for help - your hours get cut. Shortly after that, you receive an email informing you that they've also cut your benefits (because now you don't have minimum hours to qualify for benefits). In 2.5 years, not one team meeting was ever held, but when management wants something done their way - they come and yell at you. You get yelled at by management infront of new staff, who you just finished training, for absolutely no reason. You don't get quarterly or even annual reviews. You work anywhere from 5-13 hour shifts and never get a break. You are looked down on and gossiped about if you happen to travel even though you work part time. And the cherry on the cake, when you send in your resignation, your management will ignore you all day and then show up as you're locking up to leave at 9pm and are told that it is better for them and you and you are asked to hand in your key in the dark outside the locked clinic. At least I happen to be the first person to be paid for the remainder of my shifts unlike the not so lucky people before me. Think twice about working for such people.
