Have been going to the uptown spa for a few years. I have never been disappointed! Tonight I had a last minute pedicure from Julia and she was amazing! Megan is my esthetician for my manicures and she is fabulous! I absolutely love it here! Top notch service all the way!!! Feels like home!! ❤️????

I booked a full day experience with a gf of mine. We had massages, facials, and the classic mani/pedi. Everything was amazing until we got in for the mani/pedi. The girl that did my nails didn't even know how to properly take off nail polish, she botched my nails so badly and I got so tired of asking her to fix things that I just gave up because I wanted to leave. We had been there for almost 5 hours already at that point. When it came down to pay, I explained to the manager about my terrible nail job and she said she would credit my account for another mani/pedi. I was also told I could use this at another location. I called for mother's day weekend trying to book and they were booked pretty solid (understandable) however, they tried telling me at the downtown location that they could squeeze me in but it wouldn't be for the full amount of time it's supposed to take (they would rush it) Seriously? Cause that's what I paid for? A rushed job? At this point I gave up on ever using my credit up until today. My husband convinced me that I deserved it and should use the credit I had sitting there, so I called and booked for this weekend. I called the uptown location first (where I originally had gone) I asked the girl if I could pay the difference for gel nail polish on my hands and she said it was fine but that it would cost $24. I thought she was nuts, who charges $24 for applying gel nail polish to finger nails????????? I said nope, not interested. I looked on their website and it clearly stated there that the extra fee is $12 NOT $24. So I called back, asked to speak with a manager (it was the same girl that had answered) and the manager wasn't around. So I said to her, the polish is $12 extra and not $24. I then asked if I could book for downtown cause at this point I didn't want to deal with uptown anymore. I spoke with the lady there, she booked me in and I guess we'll see how it goes on Saturday. But regardless of the outcome, I will NEVER be going to Avalon ever again. Not like I'm sure they even care.. ***UPDATE*** Since I have written the review, Crystal from the uptown location has reached out and apologized for the lack of customer service I had received and urged that this was not the way they believe their customers should be treated. She has been nice enough to reach out and make things better. I do plan on going back with a perfect pair service (massage and facial) with my mother in law at the downtown location next week and I'm actually looking forward to it. Thank you for reaching out and making things better, Crystal. :)

Booked myself and my boyfriend a RMT treatment. The deal was incredible, $25 for a 30 minute massage. Will definitely keep an eye out for another cut a thon. Customer service was amazing, massage was amazing. Did not get offered beer ???? Think they should consider sound proofing the waiting room from the hair salon... it would make it a calmer environment similar to the northside location.

AH-MAZING! My sister + I live in BC + Alberta so planning a Mothers Day surprise isn't easy from across the country but these girls are incredible! They treated my Mom SO well, she left feeling totally pampered just like she wanted + deserves. They went above + beyond (multiple times) to make sure it was as perfect as it could be. The customer service at Avalon Uptown is fantastic. Jill was running a little late with her previous appointment so Angela offered me a complimentary hand massage for the inconvenience. Jill always does a great job with my eyebrows and I had no issue waiting after they treated me so well. Highly recommend Avalon Uptown!

I went here for my prom hair and make up! They did a good job with my hair but a terrible job for my make up , I was so sad because it was supposed to be my big prom day and literally after 15mins, my fake eyelash on one side started falling off and the women told me to wait 30mins for someone to come put the last back on and I had to leave because it was my prom day and an overall disappointment for sending that much money on a make-up job I could have done better on myself!

Hi - had a great experience yesterday with makeup and Miranda also other services in the past (hair, hair removal, facial etc. The atmosphere and people were wonderful. However on this last occasion it was my birthday so my husband stopped in the day before to pre-pay for my services as a surprise and gift for me. He also picked up a separate gift certificate of $100 from my son. Apparently there is still a credit there under my name that I can use in the future but it was disappointing for my husband as he had no other gift for me.

I found the girl doing my nails not very friendly she didn't really talk the whole time I was there. I put the mask under my nose for a minute as I was overheating she was rude about that. I started coughing due to the mask she never asked if I was ok or anything. Thankfully one of her colleagues brought me a drink which was a huge help. I was told it would be 55.00 ended up being 74.00 and took almost 2 hours. I went to Avalon because I had a giftcard but I can tell you it won't happen again giftcard or not. I will stick with the lady that usually always does my nails and everything.

I love the massage therapy..and Karen at the uptown location is abosultey wonderful. Highly recommended. On the pricey side but the experience is worth it and I couldn't go anywhere else. I love the little bit of aromatherapy they do in the beginning and end.
