Love it!!!
My favorite place to go...Patrick is the best..
the massages are always very relaxing and i love the atmosphere, Kai is phenomenal. Would highly recommend the hot rock massage.
Was quite please with my massage therapist and service at Massage Therapeutic Arts. Nice service at an affordable price.
Horrible business!
Love MTA... the staff are friendly and very accommodating they make you feel rate at home...they offered cookies with herbal tea or lemon water once you arrive for your appointment. Sarah and Jackie do great work. however. I highly recommend trying them all if possible see what you like. the environment was very clean and the Building/Manson itself is a must see !!! Valet is available for no additional cost... And all for a relaxing experience at $50 a hour... yes yes yes ...my new favorite place in buffalo.....
This was an overwhelming success when I found this gem online. Friendly, personal staff, a great atmosphere, and talented therapists. 5/5 Would highly recommend. I already have my next session booked.
Mike at the Delaware location is the absolute best! I’ve gotten several massages over the years and have never felt as great as I have after a session with him. He asked where my problem areas was and immediately got to work on them. I felt a difference almost immediately. Highly recommend ????
Only hire skilled people, not crazy expensive. Fair, affordable, actually Therapeutic massage, in a lovely atmosphere.
Relaxed, comfortable and excellent massage (couples massage). They asked if there were any problem areas and they focused on them but not for the entire time like some places are guilty of doing. Very happy with the massage and an excellent price. The waiting area got very busy which took away some of the relaxed environment feel at the beginning but once you are in your room all that fades away quickly. I would definitely come back here again.
OMG LOVED THIS!!!
Good massage but I don't really like to chat while getting massaged.
I bought 4 hours of massage for family members and 2 for myself on gift cards. None of my family enjoyed their experience there. A rather unwelcoming factory kind of experience. I lost or misplaced my card and was told I could get nothing in return because even though they could verify that I spent hundreds of dollars there they couldn't say if the card may have been stolen and used by someone else. Opps! Too bad you're out the money and there's nothing we will do for you because it might or might NOT cost us money. Even though not giving you what you paid for is obviously costing you money with nothing in return. There are too many fine massage therapists in Buffalo to think twice about giving business to this place.
Great
They have the hands of gods, honestly
Relaxing experience! Would like to go regularly.
Eric and Patrick. No need to say anything more
Always top notch service and very respectful and warming people. Everyone is always extremely professional and there’s really never a time I leave and am disappointed. Customer for life!
A really affordable place to get an excellent massage within a well laid out historic property in Buffalo. My massage therapist was well-versed in her skill, and did an exceptional job getting the kinks out of my neck. The front desk agent was kind, thoughtful, and took my appointment quickly and easily.
Massage therapy has helped my chronic migraines and sciatica more than any medications. Very professional service.
One of the best. New location is nice too. I had one experience with a masseuse that was very very chatty so I mentioned it to staff that I didn't want any more bookings with him and they accommodated me. Overall a good space. Hence why they are busy
I've been a client here for years. Patrick, Autumn, and Debbie are the best! The receptionists are always helpful and polite...going above and beyond to schedule, reschedule, or answer any questions including pairing you with a therapist that best suites your wants and/or needs. I am always impressed by the attention to cleanliness and comfort!!! Highly recommend
For years now I have been receiving such healing massages from several of the therapists at Massage Therapeutic Arts. With my many injuries I have from a car accident, and my busy schedule I try to keep up with, they have been able to accommodate me every time I call and I am grateful! Each time I receive such a healing massage, my body feels so much better! I couldn't have done it with out you! My recover has been slow but steady and massage has been a huge part of that. Thank you to the many therapists who so lovingly treated me! 2016 UPDATE: So happy I went back to Massage Therapeutic Arts recently! I feel so much better now that I got a massage! Thank you once again for amazing therapists that are trained for medical massage! Sure anyone can get a frou-frou massage, but when you have injuries it's important to go to people who are trained in such!
Lovely space, parking nearby. Great massage. Reasonably priced.
The massages are really great and relaxing. But the overall service of paying a non refundable fee in advance is a little demotivating. The masuse focus to much on the clock.
Amazing and affordable. Elegant and professional... everything about the business is top notch. From the moment you walk-in to the personal conversation you have with your masseuse you know you're in for a great experience. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to find inner peace and strength from within your body
Probably the best place to go for a massage in Buffalo. Fair prices, and not a subscription trap. There are a bunch of different therapists, don't be afraid to try a few and see who's style works best.
Love this place! Jackie is outstanding!
Great atmosphere
Beautiful. Organized. Comfortable. Professional.
EXTREMELY RUDE ON DELAWARE LOCATION
THE BEST massage place ever!! Hours are great, the ambience cannot be best and the therapists are all friendly and very professional. I've been coming here for years and always leave feeling healed!!! They even have complimentary valet parking! Highly recommend!
Patrick was great! Had the eucalyptus wrap & massage- so good!!!
I was a loyal and satisfied customer for several years until I started going for massages that are covered through no-fault insurance (car accident injury). If I could award negative stars due to poor communication, rude demeanor, and flawed processes I would. I have wasted so much time calling and explaining, trying to sort out my no fault coverage with them for months despite having active coverage with my insurance (the insurance provider even tried calling and explaining) and have yet to be able to make an appointment to be seen. The turnaround time in processing these issues is appalling and there is zero communication and follow-up; when I call to ask questions the receptionists have no answers and are rude. Now I have reached a point where the insurance is likely squared away, but they create barriers to even being able to set up an appointment in that I have to drive there to drop off the hard copy script before they confirm my insurance coverage AGAIN (which has been active for months but they have denied this fact), before I can even set up an appointment. You would think that for individuals that have suffered an injury and are in chronic pain that these processes would be more streamlined and accommodating. I will never return to this practice and I will discourage others from going there, especially based on hearing negative feedback from friends that have gone there as well.
Great messages and good energy!
Went for a couples massage, the room was a tad humid/not a lot of movement in the air but over all, this place was beautiful, professional and busy!! There were many people waiting so I was very surprised when we got taken up on time for our appointment. The staff is very nice as welll!
Enjoyable couples massage in a beautiful old house in Buffalo's historic Allentown Area. Professional staff.
fantastic experience with most therapists. very clean and professional. highly recommended
A wonderful place very efficient and very reasonable on price. I lived the service and will be going back soon! I highly recommend.
Beautiful house, well decorated, smelled great. Convenient appointment time, my gf loved her massage.
Nice
Excellent place. Many different things offered at a very fair price. Staff is really nice.
I love going here. I was first introduced to it in 2013 by my coworkers and that we had it in our insurance. I appreciate the soothing atmosphere and the competent and compassionate professionals who work here. Unfortunately, we no longer have this as a part of our insurance, but whenever I can go for it, I do. My favorite session has been a two hour massage; trust me, you reap the benefits from it.
The best.
I love massage but do not often afford myself that luxury. I've probably had a dozen or so in my life. My employees bought this massage (including a $15 tip) for me. This is the first time that I was somewhat grateful that it was over. I was directed to sit and fill out the obligatory medical paperwork after which I sat for maybe 15 or 20 minutes past my appointed time. People were ushered in and out like any efficient doctors office - insurance cards were a common topic. ....just not what I expected I suppose.. and certainly not the end of the world. The part that stunk was my massage. I'm fairly certain that my masseuse had arthritis in her hands. The majority of the session was spent with elbows and bamboo sticks. It was a short session because we started late and unfortunately I was kind of happy it was over.
Once you actually get in and situated, the massage is great - worthy of five stars. Staff personnel are very friendly. I've had issues with the masseuse either calling in the day of an appointment or showing up 15 minutes late to an hour appointment, which is obviously disappointing.
I attempted to book an appointment on two separate occasions. Both times I called, a woman answered the phone and told me she needed to take down all my information and someone would call me back to schedule the appointment. Both times I gave her all my information, in great detail, and I was promised a call back but received no reply at all. I am not sure what they are even doing with my information at this time and I am very disappointed.
This place was amazing!!! You walk in and there is this awesome staircase. The prices are great and my massage was one of the best I have had. Then after the massage they offer you water and tea i think they may have even said there was juice. I can't wait to go back and get a hot stone massage.
Love this place, been going for years
I had the most amazing massage
This was my first experience with a full body massage, it was so relaxing. I believe I will go again.
I left after each treatment feeling energized and refreshed. I have had NO pain after my allowed time here from my car accident. They offer three kinds of massage...hard for muscles, medium if you don't like it that hard, lite for a relax massage instead of a rub.
Great massages I had one a few years ago for $50 dollars with sasha
I highly suggest the cupping massage from Melody. She is a brilliant massage professional and does outstanding work. She is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. You won't be disappointed. Book her early. She's in high demand.
Over the years my partner and I have frequented this place and recommended it many times over. We used to go every year on/around our anniversary for the couples massage. This year (April 2021), my partner's father passed away very expectedly and we had to (try to) reschedule our appointment the day before it was scheduled so we could travel for his funeral. I was informed by a receptionist that I did not call within the 3 day window for cancellation and that we would still be charged. I explained again that there was a sudden death and was told a manager would call me back, but no one ever did. At the time, I had bigger things to worry about and let it go. Once the dust settled on our personal life my partner and I both called on separate occasions 2 more times and no one ever responded to our calls. I was charged the full fee. I know cancellation policies are important to make sure that time and money are not wasted in business but in the event that loyal customers are experiencing a crisis, this is a garbage way to do business.
This place is awesome, really nice experience.
Great price great work
Went for a couple's massage, the masseuses were very friendly and knew what they were doing.
Angela is the best
Amazing
I love my massage therapist don't know what I would do without Josh.
Pat is the absolute man! Just was rubbed down, and my body is in euphoria. Absolutely the best massage I have ever experienced. Stop in and see for yourself!
I really wanted to be in love with this place but we have had so many issues - however, this review has a silver lining and one reason we will continue to book here and that is Sarah E. Here’s the Saga … My husband and I originally booked our first massage in 2018 being very specific that we were looking for deep tissue. We were booked at the Delaware location and were brought in a room together. The massages were fine but definitely not deep tissue. We thought maybe we weren’t specific with our preference pre-treatment. We decided to try again a few months later - I was even more specific with the receptionist on the phone and she assured us it was noted. Sadly, it still wasn’t what we were looking for. THEN When I got pregnant we decided to try a third time. Being a bit more blunt when booking with the receptionist and again she assured me that who we were booked would be perfect for what we were looking for. Well that was far from the truth - my masseuse didn’t even know I was pregnant. She tried to lay me on my stomach (the other masseuse had to show her how to set up the table for a prenatal massage), THEN she tried to apply heat to my lower back which was a blatant clue she had no idea what she was doing. I should have quit there but I decided to give her another chance and explained my sore spots. The massage concluded and it was like we never spoke. She skipped every place I said was sore and it was nothing more than a light rub on the back. I thought, well hopefully my husbands masseuse was the right fit this time. This was the worst part. He was greeted by an elderly woman with a very substantial smokers cough. We thought “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” - she then proceeded to hook herself up to an oxogen tank and needed to take frequent breaks to spit out the mucus she kept coughing up. It was also the weakest massage he has ever received. So needless to say I finally called and spoke to a manager about our concerns. She was incredibly sweet and offered to comp our next massage. So here we are , our fourth attempt in - i booked our deep tissue massages with Sarah E and Chris. This time we were taken into separate rooms. When I asked Sarah why, she said that we asked for deep tissue and they never do deep tissue in a couples massage! What the heck? I never asked for us to be in the same room and was very specific on the deep tissue request. how did no one inform us of this until our fourth time here? This is what was mind boggling to me. At this point i had LOW expectations - My husbands said his massage with Chris was fine but he was brought in almost 15 minutes later than me and ended almost 15 minutes earlier than me? Not great BUT SARAH IS A STAR! It was the best deep tissue massage i have ever had and exactly what I FINALLY wanted. She listened to exactly what i needed and worked accordingly my. We will only return on account of Sarah.
Love love love this place. I have been going for several years. It's a beautiful old home. Clean, pleasant and reasonably priced.
Always a great experience
really good price and in a beautiful old house - very friendly masseuses
Great massage at a great price in a serene setting.
Beautiful place great staff great service
I’ve been coming here for a few months now and I love it! They have tea and cookies for while you wait and everyone I’ve talk to is very nice. You also can’t beat the price!
Very relaxing place! Professional derp tissue massage or hot rocks and so many more types of massage treatments to choose from! I am always pleased when I leave! About to go back again...
This place is very nice to go to for Massages And the reasonable
beautiful facility, great massage therapist.
Wonderful couples massage experience, a must try especially on a anniversary!!!
Love it here! Cute place, very nice employees and reasonably priced. I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated after my massage.
Jackie is the Besttttttttttt
Best massages I have ever gotten. Great detail and with the utmost profession. Great atmosphere and super clean. Mrs. Reagen is the best massuse I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I currently get massages from Autumn and she is the best, pay paticular attention to problem muscles and does not leave one spot undone. I am a bodybuilder and they have done amazing work on my back pain and it is such a relieve to be there for that one hour of relaxation and tranquility. Thanks so much Massage Theraputic Arts
Great location, staff and atmosphere
Amazing staff and beautiful decor done in an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely top notch! Sarah treated by multiply disabled brother and his pain decreased while his mobility increased after just one treatment! The entire staff was very understanding and took the time to explain everything to Bubba Bear and put him at ease before an amazing massage! Rates are the cheapest around and they say you get what you pay for but in this case you get so much more! We're going to send Bubba Bear back to see "Miss Sarah" bi-weekly. This may even save Bubba Bear from pain meds and a risky surgery. I simply can't say enough good things about the staff, their passion for the art and their compassion for the people they see. SIMPLY THE BEST!
love them!
Great experience Aj was amazing❤❤
Great massage. Anne fixed my leg cramps. Great value for the price.
I had a great massage, but the noise level outside of the massage room was unacceptable. A massage therapist was putting together a table in another room using what I can only assume was a hammer (I know this because I saw the open room and him adjusting it when I left). When other clients left their appointments, the other therapist(s?) spoke and laughed very loudly with them directly outside of the room I was in. I’ve had several massages in my lifetime, and I do not expect perfect silence, but I cannot believe another therapist would disrespect their fellow working therapist and client like that. I will not be back despite the massage I received being good because who wants to hear loud conversations outside of their room, and the loud hammering of a bed being put together during their massage? Not very relaxing, and not very professional.
The receptionist Sarah Was telling a customer not to tip khai when I was Schedule a massage. White people receive condominiums And minorities with paperwork #racist
Me and my boyfriend went to the Deleware location for the couples massage. We both absolutely loved it. Very relaxing environment, awesome customer service and fair prices. The guys we had were great. Definitely recommend to everyone!! We will return in a few weeks.
I have been here twice. Once for a 2 hour and once for a couples. Yes. I would book here again. Professional staff. Lots of options.
Prompt and Great service
It's so amazing ????????
Massage therapeutic arts is a first rate operation. Always plesant and professional. Autumn is my favorite therapist. She is attentive to detail and very strong but gentle. MTA is great!
Great ambience and great therapists. A+ services
I love this place they keep me in tact no lie good place to get it muscles worked on
This place is great.
I just had a 2 hour massage at their Delaware location and I am disappointed. The facility was clean , professional and everyone was great. I filled out the new client form and wrote that I was looking for some deep tissue work with significant pressure. I get massages about once a month and have a lot of experience. The type of massage I received was more of a relaxation , light touch massage with Low energy. I talked with the massage therapist about increasing the pressure and he did for a moment but then it reverted back to light touch. I left the 2 hour massage feeling like no work had been done . He was nice , professional and may have even been trying his best but his lack of experience was evident and the experience overall was disappointing for me .
Live getting massages here
Was nervous about seeing a man for the first time, but he was great and made me feel very comfortable!
Great atmosphere and rooms. I've been going here for many years and I've always had a really good experience regardless of who is giving the massage. They do a great deep tissue massage.
This place is awesome. My bf and I had a great couple massage by Angela and Ann. They have great personalities and amazing skills. We will definitely come back
Everyone was really nice, but I paid fifty dollars for a massage that wasn't a massage. I went in with a lot of back pain. My masseuse didn't even ask me anything about what I like or what I need. Started lightly rubbing my legs and then focused on the back of my knee. I told him my area of concern was my back. To keep it short barely did anything to my back and then tried to go back to legs. Very unsatisfied and left with my back pain which is what I went in for in the first place
Great & Professional
Goh and Megan are great! We enjoyed our couples massage! Price is more than affordable! Handling covid precautions very professionally.
The other day was my first (and last) time at Massage Therapeutic Arts. When I walked in, both ladies at the front desk were on the phone and one if them held up their finger signaling me to wait. Not very welcoming. And I was taken into my massage . I had asked for a deep tissue massage and explained all my pain issues to the therapist well it was like he didn't hear me because he did nothing I asked. It was a very light massage, I could barely fmel it. I was very disappointed I will be going e!lsewhere to get a real deep tissue massage !
Very nice people awesome massages
Experienced masseuses in a beautifully renovated mansion.
It was ok. It was very busy in there on a Saturday. Come early like they say probably like 15-20 mins earlier instead of 5-10 minutes early if it's your first time because it will cut into your massage time and you won't like that. I will give them another try and ask for a experienced masseuse. ???? 3 stars ???? ???? ???? They can do better.
Great deals
If my phone calls were ever returned I would be able to provide a better rating. It is unacceptable to not return phone calls after numerous messages were left with the receptionist and all she promised to do was leave an email with the appropriate person who still NEVER returned any phone calls.
I've been getting massages here since 2011 by the same person Sara E. I love her she's excellent so much so that I have to book my monthly appointment with her well in advance as she's always books up quick luv the old mansion it gives you a home like feel while being professional,I would highly recommend this place .....they also do couple massages
First off, I was super excited to get a massage here. I read the reviews and couldn’t wait. Booked my appointment on Tuesday, showed up on Saturday, and they had no record of appointment for that day but they had me scheduled for a Totally different day of the week at a totally different time in August?! What makes it even worse is they charged my card and have yet to issue a refund for their mistake. I have now talked to 3 people who said they would “email management” about the issue and I’ve heard nothing. Just frustrating.
Love this place! Although most of the masseuse could learn to apply pressure instead of just rubbing on you. Overall, a great price for quality massage received.
Every time I went I fell asleep. The massage made me so comfortable and so relaxed I had to keep going back. Go once a week you won't regret it. Each of them have their own skill and do such a great job. Is good to rotate from one to the next.
There prompt the place is clean all the therapeutic staff are great to there skills I just like going and I would always recommend them to friends to go and bring a friend for a couples day.
Wonderful therapists and very reasonable rates. I have had a great experience nearly every time, and the one time I did not, the owner was very helpful in responding to my concerns. I always go to Massage Therapeutic Arts and am quick to recommend them to friends!
Wonderful place
Absolutely amazing. Mary is incredible
$50 hour massages and they always have last minute appointments
Nice business very professional i would definitely go back
Amazing massage with Josh great deep tissue sore but feel amazing def going to be treating myself every month
Ask for Chris. He's amazing.
Always a fantastic experience. They always make sure that you are comfortable.
My wife talked me into trying out a couples massage. I didn't want to at first, but it was amazing! I made another appointment before we left!
I love it
I usually do not write reviews but i had a very bad customer serv/hospitality ever i called prior DUE TO LAS MIN MEETING WE HAD AT WORK mind you i work at a doctors office so a lot of things is unexpected (she wasn't understanding at all) i got the couple message granted it was Feb 14 it was busy i expect that everywhere the manager RENEE was not understanding that i was near by i just wanted to know where the exact building was at and she is accusing me of coming at 5:25 and her response was i'll have to check the cameras and all i called for to see why they shortened my massage time when i walked in the receptionist stated "thank god our next appointment is not till 7:00 pm" was not sure if the reps where being funny or what then when i talk to the manager this morning and i told her i will write a review on how my experience was all she said "I WILL REPLY BACK" ITS SAD HOW THE CONDUCT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND she stated she will call me back after she check the cameras to prove that she is CORRECT ON THE TIME I CHECKED IN AT and still has not called and is now 3:38 pm as i type this sorry i just wanted a nice massage but didn't turn out how i excepted it and not one time she apologized or felt concerned on how felt or neither answered my questions just had to argue back cause no care-ness was shown not once whats so ever AND RENEE please don't call me back after your read this cause Im pretty sure you'll take the time out to review your cameras and then take the time out and write on here" how you was to busy and couldn't have time to call me lets avoid the non sense after you read this" have a bless day and hopefully you hear your customers out more cause were not getting these massages for free!!!
I always had a pleasant experience here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You let them know where it's the sorest and they will do the rest. Be honest with your therapist, they won't bite. I recommend going here if you need a nice little massage
I always try to write positive reviews but unfortunately, due to their lack of response, it’s pretty warranted. I scheduled a specific massage two weeks in advance. They called to cancel my appointment without any explanation and told me that instead of the refund I requested, I would have to wait for their office manager to call me back - even though I never received the service. Surprise - no return call from the Office Manager OR Owner per my request. When I call the office to follow up, they insist that someone will get back to me. Yet, here I am still waiting. In addition, their secretary was extremely condescending and unprofessional. Not exactly what I was hoping for considering this was not a cancelled appointment on my end. If their way of doing business is keeping peoples money, I would use your money somewhere else. Considering their most recent reviews, I’d hope they would look into their shortcomings with communication and customer service. Added Edit: The office manager would only return my email and said she’s not able to make phone contact due to her medical leave while the receptionist responded that the owner was a ‘very busy woman and may not return my calls’. Long story short - they must not be interested in problem solving or customer service. In addition, I have yet to receive my refund. It looks like their business practices aren’t what they once were.
I love a good massage. Who doesn't? I learned of Massage Therapeutic Arts through word of mouth. My mom went on a recommendation from a friend. She enjoyed her experience so much she insisted I go and gifted me a session. I was able to get an appointment for the afternoon of the day I called. Being flexible with the choice of therapist may have helped. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She gave excellent directions so I was able to find the office easily. I carry a lot of stress in my upper body. I asked for a full body massage with a focus in that area. The therapist used a comfortable level of pressure and regularly checked in to see how I was doing. At the end of my session I was satisfied. I noticed the massage lasted a few minutes less than an hour - maybe to give me time to get dressed within the hour? If I were to go back, I'd ask the therapist to dig in to my problem areas and really work out the knots. All in all, a good value for the price. I'd recommend them and would be more than willing to return.
Great place for a massage! Simone and Ann provided a wonderful couples massage.
It was like walking into nirvana, everything was white , it was an old building with gorgeous trim work and tall ceilings it smelled good and had some angel music playing in the background and the lady that gave me my massage was so sweet, and she did a good job too. Loved it
Eric is AMAZING! Another great experience!!!
Great massage
Very professional and debbie is the best
Best massage ever, been going to Kathy for almost 20 years and have recommended many people. Professional, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Won't go to any other place for my massage! This place is amazing. The ambiance is incredible, it's historical ,it's quaint ,it's artsy ,and best of all it is overwhelmingly relaxing the therapist are very professional and trained medical masseuse
My girlfriend and I started coming to MTA (Massage Therapeutic Arts) early last year. Since we live in Canada, we figured why not try somewhere cheaper that has good reviews. The first couple of times were nice, semi-talented women have always given us fair couples massages. Showing up early never made a difference because we never got in on time anyways. For our anniversary (this past weekend) we decided to go again for a 2 hour couples massage. We were 10 minutes early with the reception room full. Everyone but us was going in. 10 after 11 we were greeted by our RMT's and walked up to the third floor. We didn't start our massages until 11:15am and finished at 1:45pm. I paid for a 2 hour massage and got everything short of that. Not only did my RMT have zero technique, but she also was breathing heavy - not very relaxing. I am glad my girlfriend enjoyed her time as she stated her masseuse was great however very rough - even though she mentioned less pressure multiple times. So rough in fact that she has bruises. We chose not to tip not only because we paid for a full 2 hours and got less, but because this has always been a big disappointment; never getting the full massage and lack of professionalism. We've decided to no longer go to Massage Therapeutic Arts after this last chance and will most likely never recommend anyone going there. However, if you're interested in women that possibly have carpal tunnel and more than likely no formal education in massage therapy for $50 an hour this is your place.
Excellent
Had an absolutely terrible time booking an appointment over the phone. Her excuse for being extremely short with me was because people were waiting. Phone call was under 5 minutes and I just wanted to book a prenatal massage. She keep telling me she wanted to put me on a waitlist which wasn't what I wanted. Then she continued to complain about how far back she has to search. My request was next availabilities and apparently that was a bother for her because it was prenatal. I now know why there's so many bad reviews in regards to the phone receptionist. I suggest doing something online so your customers don't have to belittled in phone scheduling.
Best place for an affordable ($50 for an hour) massage. Caring, knowledgeable, highly trained staff, plus the atmosphere is super relaxing. Located on North St. in Allentown, in a gorgeous remodeled former single family home. An oasis away from the stresses of life. Highly recommend!
Love this place! Best massage in Buffalo
It was very relaxing Pleasant rooms nice people you leave all problems behind .I give it thumbs up.
Great way to relax after a long day at work
Beautiful building inside and out. Professional staff with an array of services. Great experience.
Love love love this place I go once every other month and it gets better and better
Called yesterday to schedule a massage. The girl on the phone was impatient and rude; she made me feel as though I was intruding on her time by asking a few questions about insurance, etc. before my appointment. So, I arrived at my appointment this morning, I was greated by a very nice receptionist, she was welcoming and the opposite of whomever took my appointment yesterday after 1 pm. Shortly after being checked in, I met my therapist Khia. She broght me to the massage room. The room did not look clean at all. There was wax all over the floor and in the sink. I honestly thought the sheets and the room was dirty, but she assured me that it was cleaned. I guess someone else used the room and left it a mess. I took pics to show how dirty the room looked with the candle wax all over the floor and in the sink. Khia was AMAZING, OUTSTANDING and the ABSOLUTE best masseuse I have ever had. I already booked my 2nd appointment with her. Most times when I get a massage, they just pass over your problem area really quick. She really spent the time to working on what was bothering me. Keep up the great work Khia! I will be back and I have told all my friends to check you out Massage Therapeutic Arts.
Love this place!
Great therapists at reasonable prices.
Deb. Good worker A+++
50 bucks for an hour massage . Great price and nice facility. It really depends on who does your massage though. I have had great massages from some therapists, but a really bad one from a different one.
I have gone to Massage Theraputic Arts quite a few times. Kathy Reagan has a truly remarkable staff and her warm and gracious
Will gladly go back again
So I’m a little disappointed today I got a thirty minute lavender soak foot massage not what I expected at all he had me soak my feet in a foot soaker with some type of milky looking water the foot soaker did not look clean and the water got cold . The massage scrub was ok . I was expecting the sent of lavender maybe I thought I was gonna have my lower extremity below the knees soaked as well the room just didn’t feel right today I don’t. And I’m usually pretty happy when I leave . May they could be a little more creative with the lavender foot soak.
The best of the best
Very friendly & professional staff.. very clean office.. professional massage for a very fair price— shauna and nica did an excellent excellent job Giving my partner and I a couple massage. I definitely recommend this place!
Worst experience I normally do not write reviews but I am being forced to do so with the level of horrible and disrespectful treatment on two separate occasions that went on for a few days each. One last year March and one that started about 3 days ago till now. I’ve seen a few negative reviews about Renee the office manager when I decided to read reviews last year and compare notes, so this is very telling. Renee is extremely rude, extremely condescending, extremely insensitive, extremely disrespectful, forget it if you are Black, the disrespectful treatment is worse when you go in to the office. I have experienced her over the phone and in person. I have proof of these dealing, as she knows. My first encounter with her I was just calling to book an appointment for a massage. She answered the phone and put me on hold for 13 min. She came back yelling, I tried to move past it and just book my appointment. She tells me to speak faster, she is busy. I ask her about the North Delaware location ( I had no idea it burned down) she asked me if I was joking. I was in shock because I was confused. She said that she is busy and the phones are ringing of the hook, I asked her so where would my appointment be she said the address super fast, and hung up but as she was hanging up she called me ridiculous. This thing went on a few days because when I kept calling back she kept yelling and being very disrespectful told me they did not need my business and a whole lot of stuff that were really hurtful. After a few days trying to contact the owner ( whom I was told doesn’t care) I reminded RENEE that I had all the recordings of our conversation, at first she laughed then said she did not care hours later had someone call me to tell me my appointment was set and provided the address. When I went in I was told I was too early by Renee, and I couldn’t sit inside I had to stand outside, she did it with a smirk on her face with a condescending tone. Long story short after my massage as I left I saw an older white woman and a younger one (early 20s ) sitting on the couch. In came another as I stood from the outside watching what they would do and again sat on one of the chairs. I recorded all of it. A few days ago I called in the afternoon to set an appointment. No one told me about a cancellation policy as I have been going here for years. I set an appointment for the next day, but then realized later on in the evening something was a bit off, I was loosing my appetite and just feeling tired. I decided to take precautions and just stay in and see if it was just a one off situation. I called that evening no one answered. Called earlier in the morning they weren’t open. My appointment was for 10. I called back at 8 and told the receptionist that I wasn’t feeling well and did not want to risk it. She said ok and said my appointment was canceled, without mentioning that I was still being charged. When I realized it I called back for 3 days I was told I would get a call back after following up . Finally I called yesterday and told them I wanted to speak with the owner because no one is getting back, I was told she wasn’t there and she would pass my message to Renee again. I finally received a no caller id call today and it was RENEE. I took out my iPad and instantly started recording. She didn’t introduce herself but I knew from her nasty tone it was her. She immediately says you had an appointment at massage therapeutic arts we do not do refunds. We are in a pandemic, out employees have to pay for child care. We won’t be refunding any money. Again Renee leaves me with my mouth open. This whole time I couldn’t get a word in. I asked after all that she said is this Renee she said “absolutely “ I told her I recorded her again. She laughed and I hung up. Renee will be the reason this place goes down. The owner doesn’t seem to care either how Renee is running the place. All the responses you see on here are all from Renee and not the owner. That is why she gets away with it. It’s not about the money but the poor treatment.
Most relaxing atmosphere ever!
I called to set up an appointment on 2/16/2021 and was waiting on them to call me back after they recieved a M2 form from my doctor and I know they received it but I still haven't spoke to them to actually set up my appointment. I tried to call them on 2/26/2021 and no one answered and no machine to leave a message. Tomorrow is 3/1/2021 and I will try again, hopefully I will get through this time! I'm kind of having second thoughts about going here because their customer service side of the business really stinks!!!
Excellent
They do pretty good massages and are one of the few that offer couples massges. But it's annoying when a 60 min massage only ends up being 40-45 min
Very nice people. Very professional
Claimed they accept workers comp.. But doesn't accept the insurance I have
We had a great couples massage
Awesome place. Clean and affordable!!
Always a wonderful experience. The staff are very friendly and professional, and make you feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone.
I had a deep tissue with Shawna , sorry if that’s misspelled, this morning and it was fantastic. She listened to everything I had to say in regards to pressure and areas needing extra attention, and her technique was amazing. I don’t understand the negative reviews regarding customer service because everyone I interacted with was positive, polite, and professional. Super pleased! Will definitely be returning :)
Massage so good I drooled in my mask… but really. ???? Great for the bedside nurse. Shout out to Ayiesha, she did a great job.
Great place for a good massage!
I've been going once a month. This place is great with a great staff.
Very informative. Nice and sweet.

Excellent professional massages.
Great relaxing environment
Great placr
Pros: I want to start off by saying Patrick is absolutely Amazing! Ever since my car accident years ago my back locks up in so much pain to the point I just can't handle. Yesterday was my second time seeing Patrick after many visits to Massage Therapeutic Arts with different massage therapist. Both times Patrick focused on the exact parts of my back that were sore and tensed and both times I felt like a new person when I left. The pressure was just what I needed and he worked every knot that I had. The massage didn't feel rushed and although I was tensed from the pain in my back, I was so relaxed. I have to say I had one of the best well needed massages that I had in years. I feel like I have a new back temporarily and I can move around without pain from soreness and stiffness. Cons: after many visits counting back from years ago, I never once gave my card information out over the phone. I was hesitant and I also asked questions. I understand the the establishment wants to secure payment just in case of no calls/shows or cancellations. However I as a customer do not feel secure providing such personal information over the phone. I was told that they take cards over the phone on the weekends. We suppose to trust a stranger over the phone with our cc information so they can feel secure although we do not. I felt the only way to receive my massage was to provide my information or else I couldn't book. I also thought about just not booking but was in desperate need of a massage and wanted it with the massage therapist that could provide what I needed. There were no other options although I've been there many times with no cancellations and felt uncomfortable giving information. Taking payment over the phone is one of the most unsafe methods out there with fruad, scams etc. Not to mention I have to walk away from people to say my card numbers over the phone. There's not even an option online! No explanations on the policy if indeed you cannot make it or something happens unexpected. Do they charge you full service or a deposit? No information at all. It's really unfortunate that this place has been my go to as I stopped going to previous places but something such as taking my payment over the phone made me uneasy with no care from the other side of the phone. I would love to schedule another appt in 2 weeks but at the same time I shouldn't feel stuck with no other options. I even asked if I can just pay in person and was told No. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has pushed away. There's no security in that policy. Besides that my massage was perfect!
I booked a 90 minute couples massage with hot bamboo for my sister and I as a thank you for helping me with my wedding. When I got the confirmation via voicemail, they did not say anything about the bamboo. I called morning of and I wanted to confirm about the hot bamboo, but they told me that the one therapist did not perform hot bamboo and that they switched it to hot stones instead. Not a big deal. I then asked her if both therapists had room to add an extra 30 minutes, making it a 2 hour instead. They said that it was perfectly fine, and that I can pay for the extra 30 minutes when I came in that night (I had already prepaid for the 90 minutes a few weeks prior). We get to the location, on time, and I paid for the extra 30 minutes and we both sat down waiting. I heard the girls in the back then shuffling around about the hot stones because they did not know that it was a hot stone massage.. again no big deal. The time I looked at my phone was 7:20 before they even took us upstairs but the girl at the front desk reassured me that we would get all of our time. No problem. Massage was GREAT, not complaining about that at all. As an LMT myself, I knew the girls did not do a 2 hour massage. When they were done, I get up check my phone and it’s 8:50. I was not mad about the time we were gypped on. I was mad because when I told Sue at the front desk about how it was only a 90 minute massage (80 minutes of hands on), instead of being apologetic and professional, she basically told me that there’s nothing she could do for me and was beyond ignorant!! Again, as a licensed massage therapist myself, I would NEVER speak to a client the way she spoke to me. But it gets worse!! I call the next day to speak to a manager about the way I was talked to, and that all I wanted was a refund, and there wasn’t a manager there to talk to me.. okay. It is now almost 3 weeks past when I came in. Not one person has called me back. I then call last week to see what the status was, and to make sure I was getting a refund. And the girl tells me that she “thought” a manager called me and that I have a $50 credit on my account. I’m sorry but no I don’t want a credit, I want my money back because I will never give them my business again. Now today I call again to let them know that I STILL have not got a call back, and Renee cuts me off and tells me that I’ll have to wait because she has a line of people in front of her. This place is beyond rude!! I do not recommend!
Great place to receive a massage. All staff are friendly and kind.
I was not going to put up this review but after stewing a bit about my experience .. I feel the need to share. I like to read reviews regarding places to get a feel for a business. This place had many good ones.. but after my visit yesterday.. I will not be coming here again. My appointment was set for 10am. I arrived at 9:45 because I was told paperwork needed to be filled out. The paperwork took a matter of minutes, handed it and waited patiently. The therapist assigned to me that day was Khai. She didn’t come and get me until about 10:20. No one addressed this, and or apologized for the wait or the delay. Now.. Onto the massage.. it was ok, not the best. Not complaining about that, it wasn’t until the end. I realized my session had been cut short by 5 mins, though I paid for a full hour, and waited 20 mins to be seen. After getting dressed and opening the door.. Khai.. was standing there with water. After drinking the water.. Instead of being thanked for coming in and using this place for the massage. I was instead greeted with open hands and asking “are you going to leave my tip on the card”. First off.. that’s extremely rude to ask and to expect a tip. I would’ve been happy to tip, if I was told thank you for stopping in and using our facility and I hope you return. (before everyone gets nasty, I did tip her). But that’s how it played out, and I walked out with just a bad feeling regarding my whole experience at this facility and I will not be returning due to your therapist Khai. This was not a good first experience for me, and I will not be returning.
Good at what they do
Quality massage, affordable but could've lasted the full hour, started ten min late, ended 5 min early.
Heaven on earth???? I have been a very happy customer for the past 15 yrs! The best experience for the lowest prices you'll ever find!
Massage was great. Has two sites. The north st has valet parking on off hours and weekends for free.
While normally I enjoy talking to others, during a massage I just like to zen out. This was the first place I've received a massage that I didn't have to spend any of my massage trying to escape a conversation, and I loved it! I highly recommend going here for a great, very affordable and totally relaxing experience. Also, AJ was my massage therapist and really could apply intense pressure when needed, and more soothing pressure where there was little to no tension.
I finally visited this place yesterday. It was quiet disappointing to be honest. The place itself is very nice and cozy but unfortunately for me, the masseuse I got was sick so he was coughing and blowing his nose most of the time so it wasn’t a nice relaxing and that was a bummer. And I booked a 1 hour whole body massage, we got started with the massage at like 7:15 pm after he asked me questions and the massage was done at like 750 ish. It wasn’t even a 45 minutes massage. I am just a little let down.
It's a peaceful place, the staff is very friendly and my therapist AG is very respectful and professional.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. My girlfriend booked a couples massage about a month in advance of my birthday (which they required full upfront payment in advance). We quickly discovered upon arrival that they didn’t have the staff we’d expressly requested a month prior and decided that was a deal breaker and that we no longer wished to continue with the massage. The front office secretary stated that the administrative assistant was the only one who could process a repayment for the massage and that they would be in touch. After the fifth time over the next week of inquiring as to the repayment we finally had to resolve this issue at our credit card company. Do not trust this company with your credit card information they will seemingly try to frustrate you into not seeking your money back!
Been going here for years. Love this place. Receptionist is always friendly. Great massage therapists.
My husband and I had a couples massage with Melody and Ashley. They were amazing! Relaxed atmosphere, warm people, and a relaxing massage. Kudos also to the valet who was so quick!
Great service
The therapist makes sure you comfortable, and room was orderly great place.
Awesome
I will say usually I've had good experiences here, and they're very affordable, which is why I keep coming. My only frustration is the employees seem to move on within a year or so, I can't find a provider long-term. I would like to find someone who I know can address my issues and be able to just stick with them. I don't love the new-ish pre-pay system for long-term customers. I'm sure this is to mitigate their losses for late cancellations, but I'd rather leave a card on file for a cancellation fee within a certain time-frame, as sometimes I want to book multiple slots for couples etc.
I already know the service is great! Amen
This place is amazing and the staff is exceptional. They're always able to fit me in for an appointment and it's so relaxing there.
