Stayed in the honey moon suite which was absolutely beautiful. We had a nice fire lite in the fire place. The soaker tub was fantastic asking with a nice breakfast in the morning in the dining room. The house itself it gorgeous with loads of detail from the 19th century construction.

I would recommend going there with an appointment even just to see the interior. A great place with weird but excellent decor, and quite the history. Beyond that, the spa experiences I have had there have been excellent.

I had my nails done here (gel polish application) with Nail Technician Holly. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I had a great experience, the front desk staff were very nice and it’s a very relaxing and welcoming environment. The only downside is that I found it to be a bit over priced. I was pleased with what I got however I wouldn’t have been willing to pay that much for it if I hadn’t had a gift card.

A 45-minute massage that lasted 32? A one hour massage that lasted barely under 50? My friend and I felt they cheated us on the time. After "they" canceled and rescheduled one of the massages (messing up our day) the SPA should have tried to make it up to us. A F grade for customer service. An overall underwhelming experience for sure...3 stars for the gorgeous house and location

I have been going here for almost 2 years. The admin staff are outstanding and extremely professional. But why I go is because of Denise H. She is an athlete and understands the injuries people encounter through training and competition. To say that Denise is a world class massage therapist is an understatement. If you are active and are experiencing relevant pain go see her.

To start off, we didn't even make it to the Winterholme. I had booked the 'Suite and spa' package a month in advance. We were scheduled to check in at 2:00pm on a Saturday, and our massage was scheduled for 3:15pm, which worked out perfectly. It was a week before our scheduled time to go, and I had called to just to confirm my booking. When I called, the lady said "I'm glad you called because whoever had you booked in, booked it incorrectly." The lady had booked the massage for the Friday evening (the day before we were even supposed to check in), and had our room booked for the Saturday. It didn't make sense at all for us to come in the day prior for a massage, then return the next day to basically sleep? Of course instantly I was upset, considering it was booked ages ago, so I immediately decided to cancel the whole thing. The biggest downfall is not receiving that $100 deposit back, even with them being at fault. The lady who I was speaking with the second time to confirm my booking was very sweet, and she did seem genuinely sorry that it was booked incorrectly. I just know from word of mouth, that this isn't the first time that this has happened to someone, so it seems to be a frequent thing happening. Extremely disappointing, I was looking forward to my first visit there, and quite frankly, I don't think now I will ever go.

I appreciate the building and it's history, it's gorgeous as you walk in. I was excited that Eminence products were used. However, the spa experience was lack lustre. My facial was done in a large room, which doesn't make for a very cozy experience. There was other equipment and beds around, and they looked old/outdated. Even the towels they used just seemed like cheap, mix matched towels. The aesthetician I had seemed to be a very new service provider, unsure, didn't ask me many questions, and her technique seemed strange from what I've experienced from many facials. She also was performing extractions with a light, in the poor room lighting? I certainly wasn't expecting a modern feel when walking in, but I did still expect a cozy spa experience with some element of luxury. Updated equipment, spa towels, proper lighting. these all contribute to experience. Even when I was walking out the building, leaving through the door way of random shoes, just really took away from the experience I look for at a spa. I personally won't return but sincerely hope my review might encourage some changes!

My experience at Winterholme was overall good, but less enjoyable than another spa for similar services (facial + relaxation massage). I appreciated the buildings history, it was beautiful, but personally I prefer a more traditional contemporary spa like feel. We were in the double room (the attic) and I found it to be cold and drafty, which definitely took away from the comfortable environment. I had to ask for an extra blanket because my feet were freezing. The ladies doing the services were super nice and pleasant, however I found that the relaxation massage was extremely low pressure. Again, I've had more enjoyable relaxation massages elsewhere. All in all a great morning spa day but would go to the Spa at the Monastery for future services.
