The place is very nice inside and atmosphere is very relaxing. The receptionist that I talked over the phone to make the appointment and in the location treated me good too. The RMT was a great person and I felt she irradiates such a calmed vibe. She was very gentle and I left feeling very relieved from my back. I don't give 5 stars because I would like to book the appointments online but you need to call in instead.

I have been to Body & Soul twice and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Both times I went for the 90 minute Swedish massage. Before my experience here I found my therapists would spend too much time on one side or I would leave feeling like it wasn't enough. At Body and soul their RMT's always take their time and both times I left feeling rejuvenated.

My message therapist had a discussion before hand making sure she works on every body part causing me issues. Great ambience from the moment you walk in, great scents and aromas coming from each room and the lotions aswell. im currently on facial treatments with Jessica and she's very attentive to your needs and gets me results, my complexion has changed gradually I have more life back into my face. I received an hour long deep tissue massage from the RMT Sharon who was absolutely amazing. It was the one of best massages I’ve ever received, and my first time at this location. She was very nice as well as thorough. I can feel quite a difference on my shoulders and my knees right after the session. I will definitely be coming back for another massage from Sharon. Massage was amazing, my practitioner Nancy went over the expectations, But Receptionist extremely rude, they books us for late night and after finishing almost kick us out of there because they close by 9pm, so why you book late appointments them? We took a shower after because the oil was in our bodies and the receptionist keep coming knocking the door and complaining. After we been done she send the girls to clean the shower just in front of us. Really rude and a total disappointment after all.

Experience: I was really pleased with my experience here. My shoulders and back were really tight, so I booked a 90 minute Swedish Massage. During our orientation, I expressed some of my concerns and requested that the therapist really focus on my shoulders and neck. She listened, massaged the heck out of my neck and shoulders, and completed (in my opinion) the best massage in Toronto. I will definitely return for another massage in the future, and I feel confident in their abilities. Price: I felt like the pricing was also really great, especially considering it was an actual therapeutic experience and not just someone rubbing your back for 90 minutes. It's definitely affordable, in my opinion. Location: It's located right off the highway and easy to find. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around the area, so it's a great thing to fit into a busy day. The facility was also very nice. It wasn't the most extravagant facility, but then again, the fancy facilities charge a ton due to overhead costs. The room for the massage was really nice, and all of the scents and sounds were really relaxing. Recommendation: Definitely check this place out. Get there early, and just breathe.

I think the space is beautiful, and the RMTs are wonderful. I have never had a bad massage here. BUT there is one front desk staff who I have found incredibly rude both times I've been to this location. She is unfriendly, cuts you off, and acts put out when she is just doing her job. It is a shame that she's the first person people interact with when they arrive because it 100% takes away from the experience, so much so that I will probably be looking to book my next massage elsewhere. I normally wouldn't bother to write a review but because the RMTs are so good and the place is so nice I think they need to know when staff are hurting their business.

I've been going here for about 5 or 6 years, despite having moved up to Bolton 2.5 years ago. I mainly go for Mamiko- she's honestly the best RMT I've ever had (and I've tried lots). She pays attention to little details that many others don't, and it makes a huge difference. Little knots you wouldn't know existed, she finds. I like that she has you sign a waiver at the beginning stating you give permission for her to work on your pecs/glutes/whatever. She also always covers your eyes for you when you're face up, so no awkwardness about keeping them closed vs staring at the ceiling. She explains everything, and she's a sweet person too! I've sent my sister and husband to her, and they're also both impressed. Also...I don't know how, but that woman has the strength of 20 men. Honestly, I don't know how she can get so much pressure on you. As someone who prefers a deeper pressure, this is ideal for me. I've seen several other RMTs here, and have been fairly pleased, for the most part. There are 2 other women I like almost as much as Mamiko (I'm bad with names, but I think one is Lisa). I've only had 2 weird experiences there...one was a young woman who spoke almost in a whisper at the beginning of the session- not sure if she was ESL or not, but she seemed to not want to speak. She didn't say anything throughout the massage, and then at the end, she just disappeared. Like she didn't say goodbye or anything, just very quietly walked out, and that was that. I wasn't even sure if I was done or not. The other was a man who insisted on massaging my feet, despite me saying I didn't want them done because I'm very ticklish. I think he spent like 15mins on each foot, and while my feet felt amazing afterwards, I had booked the 60mins to spend on my back and neck, and only my back and neck. Like I said, they were weird experiences... Anyway, the place overall is very clean, nicely decorated and professional. I like the warm towels, it's a nice touch. It is pricey compared to other places, especially when you factor in the 35min drive each way, but if you've got benefits to cover most of it, the price is nonconsequential. I'll definitely continue going!

I had a great Swedish massage wile I was there. I told the masseuse I was having problems with my right shoulder and she really worked on it which was greatly appreciated. I have been here 4 times for massages, and each time I leave feeling great. The only reason I cannot give a fifth star is because I always have such a hard time getting through to the front desk to make an appointment. They rarely answer on your first, or even second try.

Clean, quiet, peaceful and friendly. I was able to book in a day's notice no problem. Body & Soul has convienent hours which allows me to get an appt without having to take time off work. Receipts for insurance are provided. The massage therapists are truely invested in your well-being and will give tips and tricks to relieve aches and pains in between bookings.

I didn't get into the massage room until 2:20 was supposed to be 2:15, I wasn't late and my 90 minute massaged ended at 3:45 so I feel like I didn't get my full 90 minute because once you go in and change you lose a few minutes too. The massage was good, however she didn't massage my feet, she asked and I said it was fine so maybe she misunderstood. I could hear talking from the room next to me the entire time so that was a bit annoying but overall was a good deep tissue massage. The 90 minute I had a few months ago was awful so I am comparing it to this one. The bed where your face is had the sheets covering plus we are wearing a face mask, I was so uncomfortable because I couldn't breathe. I didn't enjoy that massage at all. Would have been nice for the lady to have asked if I was ok because I feel like I was moving around lots.

I booked my appointment a month in advance and organized child care for my newborn so that I could get a massage. I arrived, only to find out that they made a "scheduling error" and accidentally cancelled my appointment. To make matters worse, the receptionist barely gave me eye contact, and offered no way of remedying the situation. Do yourself a favor and book your appointment at a more reputable, professional spa. I will not be returning here.

We booked a 60 minute Swedish Couples Massage earlier in the month. We had a great experience! The waiting room was lovely, staff was very welcoming. We were offered refreshments upon arrival. Although we did arrive a few minutes late (we accidentally set our GPS to "The East Mall" not "The East Mall Crescent") the staff got us in to our appointment and we did receive the full 60 minutes, which was absolutely appreciated. Look forward to returning again!

Not quite happy with massage therapy, was expecting a great experience as I was referred by one of my friend. I booked dip tissue massage for an hour but didn't feel like I had dip tissue massage with relaxation. I had asked to be worked on full body massage with more attention to upper back and calf muscle. Satisfied with upper back massage but therapist didn't work on calf muscle properly. I came for relaxation there and therapist was constantly talking with me instead letting me relaxed. Sorry to say but over all poor experience, not satisfied with massage I had. Not worth of $130 i spent.

I am still suffering and have difficulty walking after receiving a deep tissue from TI . I await my MRI because the massage here has caused significant damage to my lower back to the point I cannot walk well. Stay away from this clinic! I do not recommend RMT TI, she did not comprehend the complexity of me as a person, I told her I was in physio at Triangle downstairs and she dug into my lower back way too much!!! I could not walk the next day and I am chronically suffering on a daily basis.

I’ve been RMT-hopping for quite some time since I moved to Canada as I’ve never quite been satisfied with the results. That is, until I tried this place out. Tetiana was excellent! She is very precise and consistent with her approach and for those who prefer deep tissue work — I can tell you that she is one of the very few RMTs I have met who can maintain consistent pressure! I left without the months of tension in my neck and back that I had walked in with, and will definitely he returning again.

I always come to get a massage at this location, but my recent visit was absolutely horrible. My massage therapist was Raje, super nice lady, but super horrible. I asked for an hour of aroma therapy massage and she ended up massaging my arms and hands for more than 45 minutes... I was so upset. The massage she gave me didn't do anything. Not to mention that the receptionist, Christine, is absolutely ignorant. She would not get off her phone the whole time I spoke to her. She completely disregarded what I was saying and kept asking me to repeat what I said to her because she wasn't paying attention as she was too busy on her phone. I am absolutely upset and I am never coming back to this location ever again. Complete outrage.

What the heck is going on? I've been calling them for the last 3 days, during their office hours which they state on their answering message. Is this place still open? Why is no one answering the phone? I also sent an appointment request through their website, got an automatic email saying they received the request and it says someone will contact you shortly to confirm. Haven't heard from anyone since. Really wanted to try this place but no one answers the phone or checks email!

I couldn't make an apt I'd booked because my Fiance had to go in for emergency surgery at Toronto General. When I called to cancel my apt and explain, the receptionist told me she would have to check with management. She called me back to say that I could not cancel and I would be charged 50% of the cost. I was disgusted with them. If they are so desperate for $65, they should probably declare bankruptcy and just close.

Free chocolate, coffee, and water is great but is not what i came for. I found my massage to be subpar and not worth what i paid. It was supposed to be an hr, i got less than 40minutes. Ive read a few of the reviews were this has happened and the owners' responses to them. I appreciate that she does respond, however i have noticed a tone that takes no accountability nor acknowledges the possibility that her establishment may not have fulfilled its obligation. So before you respond, i will be very clear: If my appointment is for 3pm, then your 15min assessment should start at the appointed time. However from your comments and my experience, you put that responsibility on your clients by advising arrival 15mins prior to the appointed time In my case, i was running late, i called and advised your receptionist. At no point in time, even when i initially made the appointment, did your staff advise me that it would be taken out of my 1hr. None of your policies were told to me. It was only when i came up to the front desk to pay that she said "oh you missed most of your massage". REALLY?! Importantly I did not receive an assessment, i was shown to a room, advised to change, the rmt returned a few minutes later, started and about 30minutes later was done. I did advise her of were i had pain and that while i'd like for those areas to be focused on, a full body massage was what i booked. However she was more interested in chatting away than focusing on my massage, spent 1 minute per leg and then abruptly, was done. Suffice it to say that even after i repeated what i wanted 2ce, i didn't get it. And while she was pleasant enough (and i know that miracles don't happen overnight), i didn't receive a deep tissue massage, i received a way below average swedish massage, and my pain is exactly the same. Waste of my time and money. I WILL NOT RETURN.

Went in for an 1h deep tissue sports massage and I definitely appreciated the friendly, helpful staff, welcoming me and taking my coat away. The masseuse was also very professional and knowledgeable: I left the spa relaxed and glowing. The spa itself it’s a work in progress, but it’s heading the right direction! I understood they recently rearranged their waiting area and I have to say its very welcoming: warm & cozy & comfy! But then I walked to the massage room, I found it cold: from the room temperature, which was not really inviting me to get undressed (I was warm though once under the sheets and blanket), to the design of the room (the masseuse didn’t even have a designated table for lotion and such: we shared half a small round table in between my jewelry + watch and her lotion). A cup of warm tea at the end of the massage would have been amazing, especially on a cold winter day! Hopefully they will keep working on it and will manage to give the feeling of warmth and luxury even though their rooms.

I was very disappointed with my first visit yesterday. Possibly the worst massage I have ever had. My visit was with Chelsea I walked in and she was asking if she treated me before. I said no which is fine. Within the first 5 mins, she asked what I wanted to focus on. I said shoulder and neck since I'm in a lot of pain (which I also wrote in the form but I don't think she even bother reading it). After I changed and lay on the table, she started with my leg.... I told her that hey can we focus on my lower back and my neck and shoulder please since it's in pain. She said it's all connected but she will and still spent around 15 mins with my legs. When she started with my back she barely touch my shoulder or my lower back. And when she's ready to flip me over, I asked :"are you not gonna touch my lower back.???" She was like oh... I was trying to touch it but you were flinching which is a lie. She touched it for like 2 mins on my bump and flipped me over. I said can you please focus on the shoulder and neck please . I'm in pain. She was like ok and started with my arms. .... Like seriously... I felt like I have to keep repeating myself over and over and she didn't listen which is crucial as an RMT. By the end I repeated myself one more time since she DID NOT TOUCH MY NECK AT ALL. And she's like oh sorry you are done. I am very upset. I am still upset and seriously I will never ever visit any of these kind of location again. I feel like I was scammed . You need to find people with experience and patient care for these kind of job. Not a pair of hands that don't listen.

I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage for $110 ($125 including HST) with Laura. The treatment room I was in was closest to the street (Bloor) and had a window. It was distracting hearing conversations, some yelling, traffic, and dogs barking from street level throughout the massage. My appointment started about 10-15 minutes late but I wasn’t in a rush. During the massage, I asked for more pressure and was asked to explain why and was told more pressure doesn’t necessarily mean a more effective massage. Perhaps this is true but I felt uncomfortable having the conversation considering I booked a deep tissue massage. If noise might bother you, consider requesting rooms that don’t face the street.

I've been going to Body & Soul for at least 4-5 years now. I've used them for their RMT services and just recently I also had a microdermabrasion. Their RMT services are always great but my one complaint is that they don't keep the same RMTs so once you get used to someone they leave. The lady who does the facials - she's great, very pleasant, gentle and not a pushy sales person (let's be honest some places really push products - don't get me wrong she does ask but is not pushy). Overall, I would recommend their services and spa.

I booked an appointment for a deep tissue massage but because of one sensitive spot on my back the masseuse did a Swedish massage instead. My back pain did not improve. Additionally the masseuse talked throughout the whole experience so it wasn't very relaxing and she kept getting distracted by her thoughts and neglecting my back.

I have gone to this location twice and love it here so far. The receptionist/reception area are very nice and its relaxing while you wait (if you have to wait!). My therapist is very friendly, attentive to my needs and takes the time to provide stretching techniques to help alleviate tension etc. No complaints and I just booked my third appointment. Went for a couple massage since it was close to where I lived and had good online reviews. The massage was okay, not great (I didn't leave thinking "wow, I'll be going back there")...but the lack of stars is all about the price. $130 bucks for 1 hour is robbery. My benefits wouldn't pay out more than $100, stated as the reasonable price of coverage on my claim return. Usually I get my massages from an excellent RMT in the downtown core and for 75 minutes, they charge $110. So completely up to you, but my advice is you can get better bang for your buck. Also, when filling out their sign-in form, I'd recommend not putting in your email. They send you quite a bit of follow-up emails and "review us" emails afterward.

As a health practitioner, I've received and gave many massages. I'm familiar with fascia release, trigger point, shockwave, Active release and othwr therapies to name a few. Although I don't like complaining about a massage publicly and wish no firm action against the employees, my experience at Body & Soul was not great from a business and a service standpoint. The service desk ladies were short and abrupt from the phone call through the entire time I spent there. Amongst arriving, greeting a client with a smile is an warm and easy way to make them feel welcome. I didn't see a smile once, maybe it was something I said or how I looked but it just wasn't a friendly vibe there. My masseuse, which I won't mention her name, wasn't very great. Apart from finding some tightness in my upper back, which is quite normal in a flexion based work society, she barely did more than rub her elbows up and down my muscles. No asking about pressure, no technique outside of basics and failed to target hard to reach muscles solo like the glutes and piriformis. I don't blame her for my experience, as she will only get better with practice, however if you don't ask you don't learn. Personally, I would do a better job running a RMT. From training about kinesiology, anatomy and fascia release to keeping the staff engaged and involved with their clients. I can say confidently that I didn't see a staff member there trying their best. I realize the time of year is very busy for a spa and that perhaps the year we're having could weigh into the service. However, I see major opportunities for improvement. Apologize for the harah review, however the standard for service has to be high on both ends with those prices.

Most of my massages made me feel perfectly relaxed after, with only about one not doing much for the pain I was experiencing. Be sure to note whoever does your therapy session so that you can request them again if you enjoyed it, as there's no guarantee how the next therapist will be! Everyone's style here is so different, which can be great depending on what you're looking for.

In my opinion, Body & Soul is one of the BEST massage therapy clinics in Etobicoke (even Toronto), The front desk staff are always welcoming and accommodating. Often I will call with a last-minute appointment requests, and they always do their best to fit me in. Because of this, I have seen a number of different RMTs at their clinic, and for the most part, they've exceeded expectations (there was maybe one who didn't). The RMTs employed at this clinic do a good job at asking upfront for your objectives (e.g. what do you want to get out of this? where do you want me to focus?) and checking-in (e.g. is the pressure OK? do you want me to adjust anything?). It might not have all the frills as some of the spas in the city, but it's exceptionally clean and very well-priced.

It was my first time getting a massage here and my masseuse, Sharon was soooo amazing and open with my muscle pains and strains. Her techniques was nothing I've ever had before and even throughout the massage, we chatted and it was still a relaxing experience. I will definitely be rebooking with her and trying out other services at this location. With regards to safety with the pandemic, the staff was very clear about their precautions and preventive ways to keep everyone safe. I was worried that while receiving a massage with a mask on would hinder my breathing, and honestly, it wasn't an issue at all. I experienced no problems with my service with a mask on. As mentioned earlier, I enjoyed my experience and time here and will be back. :)

I had a 2 hour Nourishing Scrub with Ewa at Body & Soul and it was an indulging and relaxing experience. The attention to detail was considerate and appreciated. A bathrobe to wear to walk to the shower for after the body scrub and a new one for after the shower in my size was considered and I found to be thoughtful. Ewa was professional and provided me with water during the experience when I felt light headed. The body scrub left me feeling soft and my skin nourished with rich creams and essential oils. The full body massage helped work out the knots in my back, upper shoulders and neck. Ewa respected my need to relax and only suggested stretching recommendations when I inquired. Yesterday was my first time here. I found the place online. I live 5 mins away and had no idea this place existed. I arrived early and only had to wait a short time as all the forms were provided to me the night before. The lobby area was clean, quiet and had a great ambience. The receptionist was nice. My RMT was Sharon. The room was clean and the massage table was already warmed up for me. There was relaxing background music on. Although it’s located by Dundas, which is a busy street, I didn’t hear any outside sounds. I almost forgot it was in the city. :) I booked a 1 hour Swedish massage but I had mentioned to Sharon that I had some pain points/muscle tension due to working out and working an office job. She let me know that she was also going to work on those pain points since the spots were really tight. I haven’t had a massage in over 6 months and every single inch of my body was tight so I was 100% ok with this. Don’t let her size fool you! Those fingers worked wonders - soft yet firm when needed. She was able to work on those pain points to release the tension but balanced it out with an overall relaxing body massage. I had a bit of head massage which felt AMAZING! My job can be stressful and after an hour, I came out feeling so relaxed and a little bit sore due to the extra work on the pain points. She let me know that I would feel soreness the following day and to drink lots of water. As someone who has been getting massages for years (typically deep tissue), I knew what I was getting into so I wasn’t concerned at all but I did appreciate the heads up! A day later and I still feel great. :) Overall, great first experience and I’ll for sure be visiting again and booking with Sharon! :)

I came in two days ago for a Swedish massage session with Pei Lu. When she asked about my concerns, she advised me to go for a deep tissue and said “I will fix you”. I laughed. But to say the least, she fixed me! I’ve never been the person to enjoy/relax during a massage, but Pei made it happen! As for the previous posts complaining about not being informed to be 5 min early to fill out forms or tipping being on a screen; 1. That’s common courtesy to any appointment. Be early. 2. Due to COVID, this clinic has taken measures to protecting you and their staff. Not touching their screen is one of them.

I am disappointed with the service at Body and Soul. I purposely book my appointments in advance to insure I have made appropriate arrangements with a babysitting and when I show up, I'm told my appointments have been cancelled. How? By who? No one can give me an answer. I can understand it happening once but it has happened twice within a month. I was told a manager would call me but no one has called yet. Also, 60 mins massages are never 60 mins. They vary from 45mis to 50mis max. I'd like to think that if I'm paying for 60 mins, I should receive what I pay for. Save yourself the headache and find a new place for your massages. I already have. I will NEVER return.

Hands down the best spa in the GTA. They are the perfect blend of professional RMT services with the relaxation of a "hotel spa". I've never had any issues with my appointments at this location and have always been treated with the utmost respect. I also appreciate that they don't charge you up the butt (like hotels do) but can still provide a beautiful and clean environment (compared to some other RMT spots). This is the WORST clinic experience for Deep Tissue massage ! BE CAREFUL! They will leave you with a Disability and Nerve Damage!!!! They do not do a proper assessment of your pain areas before they start the massage and start without this, especially this RMT " TI" or "TI" Is TIAURA CHIEM She is not a good RMT and thinks everyone needs the same amount of force for deep tissue, no common sense. I have been left with DISABILITY problems for a long time and the CLINIC refuses to acknowledge anything on this and blamed previous problems for this! I would NOT Recommend this Clinic At All!!!!

Body & Soul is a delightful cozy space with good therapists, cozy rooms and a variety of treatments from regular massage to deep tissue and hot stone. Every therapist has a little different approach so you don't get into a "massage rut". The staff are always welcoming and make you feel at home. A real plus is the fact they stay open late to accommodate people who work in the day so there is no need to take time of work. It is convenient to get to by car or transit. I have always had the best experience there.

The massage itself was good and Ti checked in a couple of times to make sure the pressure was right. I could have used some work on pressure points but that's on me for not telling her. I was glad that they were able to take me last minute. The price was much more than I've been charged. I have been to a few RMTs in the past two years and the cost has been $105-110, with tax in the fee. This was $130. They also don't email receipts, saying they've 'had trouble' in the past. Since you make the appointment, do the COVID questionnaire, and get your financial receipt by email, I don't understand why the RMT receipt had to be handed over. Tiresome to submit to benefits. So between the cost and the hassle I won't be back.

When booking, no one mentioned we should arrive 5 mins prior to our appointment to fill out forms or else your massage time will be cut. My friend who went In a few mins after me got her full one hour massage. I also did not like how unprofessional the secretary was, she promted the tip options out loud when it should be done on the machine on my own. I felt obligated to tip when In fact I didn’t want to tip because my masseuse cut my massage time by 10 minutes. Overall, the place is Very clean and the staff were friendly. However, I will never go back to this place

I have been here before and was pleased with the services and the facilities but I wanted leave a review now to really applaud the staff for their diligence to cleanliness during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has always been a clean, well maintained facility, but I was very impressed with how seamless the process is to book an appointment, be screened (both online and in person), and take care of payment. Everyone wore masks while I was there, hand sanitizer was provided, screens were in place between myself and the receptionist, and my massage therapist wore a mask during the entire process (as does the client). The bed and head rests were all covered with clean sheets, and there was a disinfecting schedule in each room. I felt safe, and I received an absolutely wonderful massage that was sorely needed. Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful work.

On the same day, I received an “appointment request email” saying that they will contact me to confirm their availability. On Saturday, I still had not heard from them so i called to know why they didn’t. The woman on the phone decided to tell me that they do not call if they don’t have availability for the date requested. Clearly that’s not true, she should of just apologized for their mistake and offer me other dates. For a first time experience, I’m not that impressed. To be honest is the strict minimum in customer service.

The atmosphere is so relaxing when you walk in- there is water and tea set up with light snacks in the waiting area, and the massage room itself is extremely clean and comfortable. I would not recommend this place, I had issues booking an appointment and also with the payment. I purchased an online gift certificate total value of $187.58. It was 60 min reflexology and 30 min Swedish massage. I booked an appointment for Aug. 11th providing all the information about it (online gift card code and id number). A day before my appointment I called to ask questions about filling the forms due to covid 19 and I found out that my appointment was not booked. I had already asked for the day off at work. I talked to the manager who apologized for “the miscommunication” and I booked another appointment for the following week Aug 18th at 3:00 pm. Once I got to my appointment I showed my online gift certificate to the receptionist and she reassured me that everything was ok. My massages started 15 min late (3:15 pm) and it finished at 4:30 pm being told that both massages were performed. One hour reflexology massage (3:15 to 4:15) and then only 15 min of Swedish massage. The masseuse told me that the timing started as soon as I got into the room. When I stepped into the room the masseuse started to explain what she was going to do, she asked me if I had any questions, which I did, and then told me to get ready and to get inside the massage bed. There were my 15 min of massage. On my way out another receptionist had my invoice ready and asked me how I was going to pay. Once again, I showed my online gift certificate and I explained it was paid. The receptionist asked me to pay extra $10 because she said the prices had increased since the time I purchased my gift certificate and she could not figure out how to solve the increase in prices on her computer system. I lost a day of work for not being booked the first time. My massages started late and didn’t even get all the time I paid for and I had to pay extra $10 which is not much but what if It was more than $10 and didn’t have money with me. I lived very close to the spa and didn’t need to take my purse with me but since I was going somewhere else after my appointment I took my purse with me. I got out of there annoyed and more tense than ever.

I booked a 60 massage advised the therapist that my upper and lower back had a lot of pain. found it strange that she spend 30 min laying on my back pressing on my pressure points on my hands and feet telling me that it’s will release the pain from my back. When I finally turned around she was rubbing my back with barely any pressure.. I asked her to use maximum force on my back because I’m in deep pain from work, which she did with her elbows for a few minutes. I feel bad for writing this review because she’s looked about 60 years old but I’m upset that I spent $125, my back feels the same way it did before I went in.

Had my first massage here last week. The RMT was very pleasant and the massage was very satisfying. She focused on my problem areas as requested. The spa itself is very lovely. Nicely decorated and looks to be very clean. My only negative feedback is the booking system. If you are going to have a button on your website "book an appointment" it should lead to an online booking system with availability very clearly designated. Many other service type industries have these programs. The way your website is set up defeats the purpose of online booking. You end up having to call and make an appointment anyway. Other that that, I would recommend this spa and I will be a returning customer.

I came to Body & Soul Massage Therapy with the expectation that I would be helped.... Instead my problems were FIXED! I had the pleasure of working with an excellent RMT named Veronica Mlyn. Originally my pain was associated with my shoulder and it hindered my mobility. Veronica was able to recognize the issue and the problem. She worked extensively on my shoulder over a couple of sessions, and she provided me with at-home exercises to follow up with on my own. Its safe to say without her my pain would still be lingering. She was excellent to work with and knew exactly what to do to get me back into tip top shape! I highly recommend Veronica to anyone, whether its minor or major pain she can get the job done.

Everything was going good until the massage. I was booked for a mani/pedi, facial & massage and the first 3 services were great (a 5/5 with Diana!). Then I had a massage booked for an hour with Tamika. I was in the massage and it very fast and rushed - not relaxing at all! I thought to myself 'there is no way this is 1 hour'. Sure enough I come out of the massage and it was explained to me that they had done only 45 because of time mismanagement earlier in the day. I have no clue why this couldn't have been communicated to me prior to starting my massage because I would have asked for a different area of focus for the time frame. When I go to the front desk once I'm done I express my disappointment in not communicating to me the short massage and they say they will credit my account the 15 min lost time. I then ask for a massage receipt for my insurance and they tell me they can't provide one because it was a gift certificate (basically a treatment pre-payment for Xmas by my husband). I explain that a git certificate is just like cash and one of the girls tried to tell me that I can't get a receipt because it's double-dipping with the insurance company. How does that make sense? If neither my husband nor I have received an RMT receipt how has anyone dipped? No claim has been made at all without a receipt. I asked for the gift certificate to be refunded and then I would pay for it myself so I could get the receipt. After asking for the owner/manager to be called I did end up getting the receipt, but what a terrible ending to what should have been a super relaxing day.

Good massage overall and clean place. However, paying as much as I did for the session, I shouldn’t be prompted out loud to tip as the massage fee wasn’t cheap either. I prefer not be asked by the secretary if I want to tip or not, and complete the transaction independently, without feeling the pressure to tip when asked if I’d like to or not. I prefer to go to a RMT at a physiotherapy location instead, no tip required as that is their JOB. Not returning here.

It is all about integrity. I was over charged included taxes by almost 70$. I got a gift card from a friend and decided to try a spa. I don't usually pamper myself so I booked a 60 minute lipo massage, but got a call the day before my massage explaining that the machine they were going to use was not working and that they would upgrade my service to a trilipo and I would supposedly like it much better. I looked it up and was considering purchasing a package after my appointment. I got there and everything was fine. They did 45 minutes because the machine was diferent (whatever, I understand). When I went to check out, they had to call the other location and confirm my friends name because no details were left on the gift voucher. This made me feel like I was some kind of crook; instead of explaining what they were doing, they left me there in silence. They ended up charging me the full price of the trilipo (the upgraded machine). So I told her that they had called me advising they couldn't do what I had originally booked and since it wasn't my fault, they would upgrade me with no additional cost. She said "ahh you are the one" as if they didn't have a note on my actual booking. She was trying to adjust things on the computer and then made me check out on the other computer because her computer had frozen. In the end they charged me 450$, gave me a discount of 250$ so with tax I paid 226$ for a service that was supposed to be the same price as what I had initially booked for that was 140$. Was planning to book for other services like wax etc, but I can tell they don't communicate and really don't have integrity. Not interested.

This is the first time I am sending out a google review. This should speak volumes to the level of customer service and integrity of this clinic. I called yesterday (Wednesday) AFTERNOON to book a prenatal massage. I asked for the earliest availability as I was experiencing a lot of back pain and the receptionist mentioned availability for the next day, however I had meetings and the time offered didn't work with my schedule. The receptionist then offered me the day after that (Friday), which I was happy to accept and continued to book my appointment and followed that right up with entering the time in my calendar. Shortly after, I received the intake forms and an email to confirm my appointment. It's on me that I did not pay close enough attention to the date: September 16 vs 17 (my bad!), however the time was the same and as I mentioned, I had just spoken with the receptionist who verbally confirmed my appointment date and time for Friday September 17 at 1pm. Did I mention I this would be my first time attending the clinic? Needless to say, they called me the following day asking me where I was and that I was missing my appointment that was scheduled for today (Thursday). I expressed my confusion and they had nothing to say other than "well, we're going to have to charge you for missing your appointment...". I get there's a policy in place, but we just spoke not even 24 hours ago! Not impressed at all. And you just lost yourself a regular client.

I had a session last Sunday. The RMT was very nice and professional. If my rating was just on her it would be 5 stars. However, the receptionist although quite nice did not provide me with a receipt that i requested to be sent to my email. I followed up 3x with the spa and no response. Ive had multiple bad experiences with the receptionist at the etobicoke location (not the one i spoke to on Sunday). Some of the receptionists hang up the phone on you if they don't have an appointment available. Seeing all the reviews on the receptionist i think some training on customer service should be conducted. The bloor location is much better. Looking forward to receiving my receipt soon.

In my previous experience with RMT at other locations, I felt a lot more welcomed and was asked lots of questions regarding my muscle pain, reason, taught how to prevent etc. So I didn't feel like treated just one more customer of the day. But at Body and Soul, I felt each process was a lot more mechanical, no emotions, no building relationship. The RMT who treated me did an ok job. But overall, like other reviews said, the therapy was 5-10min shorter and I didn't feel great after. It was just ok and definitely I don't think that it was worth 113dollars. :( I will stick to my regular RMT as she does a lot better job and friendlier.

First I would agree with another reviewer who said that don't get used to any RMT as they change quite often. I had some great massages and ones when I didn't even know how the RMT even passed thier classes because it was so terrible. Also a lot of them cut the massages short but 5-10 minutes at least do you don't really get a full hour. But the worst thing is customer service. Some of the receptionists have messed up my receipts a few times and they are also not very helpful knowing about insurance coverage. If you have insurance please do research on whether you are covered before booking as some of thier other professionals are not recognized by all insurance companies. Yes atmosphere is nice but it would be good if they could retain their good staff and get rid of the not so good ones.

From the moment she meets with you, her gentle handahake and eye-contact are deliberate, instantly engaging your trust. She invests time in her client. She is a thoughtful, compassionate practitioner and professional, who actively listens. And should she impress on you any other take-home advice re: excercise or dietary tips, she isnt pushy or invasive about it. Courtney is an asset to the team, as are the staff manning the front desk. A relaxing and rejuvenating experience. My wife and I got a couples massage. They were knowledgeable about how to help with muscle and joint pains and left us feeling refreshed. I would recommend them for massage therapy. Great atmosphere and easy to get to for people living in Etobicoke.

I have been going to this spa for years now, and had never had a bad experience until now. Amazing how one bad experience can change your opinion so quickly. I booked two treatments this past Sunday to have on my birthday on the Wednesday February 10th, one for myself and one for my Husband(first time). Got a call the day before and the receptions said the his massage and my couldn't be done at the same time as they need the sink for both treatment, so we figure it out and he changed to his massage as it was my day after all. Than my first call on my birthday morning they call again to say David the head massage therapist is sick and she could come in still and wear a mask. I ask to call them back. This has been such a stressful time trying to book a relaxing day with the hubby. now he isn't getting anything he want. All they could say sorry and not offering any solution, or acknowledge their mistakes. I even advise it was my birthday and this isn't a stress less experience. Again sorry, I don't know about everyone else but sometimes sorry doesn't cut it. So now I'm upset that my relaxing birthday is now not so. I decided to cancel everything and saying they are not being very helpful and she get an attitude now in her voice saying we have offer solution. By wearing a mask to my husband massage REALLY. Never again will I go back and spend or recommend this place anymore. Thank God I found a great place afterwards in Port Credit call Hand & Stone Spa.

Had a deep tissue massage and swedish massage here. I have found it difficult to find a place that gives a good deep tissue massage (most places are only superficial with pressure). This was a nice change and I will be booking another massage in a couple of weeks

Tiaura & Feng (Amy) were both excellent & both knew exactly where it hurts. I felt immediate relief & for the first time in years I feel hopeful. Other therapist for many years weren’t able to target my problem areas the way Tiaura & Amy did. I can’t wait for my next appointment. Beautiful, spotless place.
