I frequently get massages (thankful for health coverage) and I can be a bit picky. I really like this location as so far I have enjoyed all of the massage therapists. It's nice that I can book online and just pick anyone and have a good massage. However, I have gotten massages by Christina McKague and I have to say that it was the best massage I've ever gotten. I have a spot that always bothers me and she was able to work it out really well. Highly recommend!

Be very cautious with the folks at this establisment. At the end of your session when it comes to make payment be sure that the transaction is final and complete including the insured portion. There was some sort of mix up where there ended up being an unpaid balance, when all the while I thought I had finished the session, made my payment and left never thinking of it again. Months later I received a call from a very aggressive collection agency. I can understand that there may have been some kind of credit card transaction issue or maybe the insurance provider, but to not have notified me and have it go to collections made me absolutely livid. I have never ever been contacted by a collection agency and have a stellar credit rating. TBC had all my contact info but made no reasonable attempt to let me know they had made an administrative error. Fortunately with aggressive action I was able to avoid a downgrade on my credit score. They were apologetic however I will never take my business there again. If you decide to get a session there just make sure the final payment transaction is complete.

First visit to this clinic yesterday and what a great experience. Kaitlin M is top notch - super thorough and extremely skilled massage therapist who clearly listens to clients' concerns and is able to "read" the body and know what is needed. This clinic is just over 20 minutes drive from my home, but well worth the trip. Very relaxing, easygoing atmosphere and beautiful facilities. Will return and recommend to others.

Booked online the night before for an 8:30am massage. It took 40 minutes to drive to the location and when I arrived the reception told me she has sent me an e-mail of appointment denial. I checked my phone and their e-mail was sent out to me at 8:15am, 15 minutes before my appointment. I was disappointed that she only gave me 15 minutes notification when the night before they had bookings as early as 8am!!! What angers me the most was I said there is a flaw in the online booking system considering I only get E-Mailed 15 minutes prior to my booked appointment instead of an early morning phone call as I was a previous customer on file. I was given the excuse "Erin isn't doing a 90 minute massage today", "we never had this problem before" (basically implying I was the problem and had no reason to be upset). A simple phone call instead of a 15 min out email while I was already headed there through heavy morning traffic would have been a better choice. Would have been common sense. If you can't accept 90 min, then change your online booking to restrict from it on certain massage therapists that cannot cater to it. Why show availability of booking an appointment next morning day when your excuse was "you booked last night". More excuses then a simple apology which she ignored. I will be taking my business elsewhere and Alberta Momentum has been by far better with customer service and online booking always follows up with a phone call. A perfect example of common sense is not so common.

I have been using this place for about 12 years, new location is very quaint and cozy. Parking is good but some of the neighbors don't appreciate it so try as you can to park in the lot. The dirty looks aren't worth it. Therapists are very informative and work with you as well. Kaitlyn Cayen is my new rockstar!!

I jump around from therapists in this location, I book more based on when there is availability vs who I book with because I have never had a bad experience!! simple to book last minute you generally get some sort of availability in the next few days. This place smells amazing, and staff are super awesome and kind! I do wish their rooms were just a tad bit warmer but that is just me I am always cold ????. Deffinately reccomend them to anyone! They also has so many different types of massage so you can be adventurous!

First time at Therapeutic Body Concepts was great! I went for a prenatal massage with Jason and he did an excellent job! My baby was digging her foot into my side and I think I may have pulled a muscle on the same side so needless to say I was in quite a bit of pain and discomfort. I couldn't sit, stand or find any comfortable position ! Jason was very responsive to what I needed and after working for only a short time on that side of my body i felt a major release and was able to lie completely comfortable for the rest of the session! Whatever he did got the baby to move off that side of my body which also felt great! He is clearly very knowledgable and passionate about his field and gave me some stretching tips and referred me to a doula. I will definitely be back! :)

I had several massages with Julissa, one with Cheyenne and my daughter with Keiko. Julissa simply changed my life with her massage. I've had a chronic lower back pain and after she worked on my back, for the first time in 10 years I could sleep and get out of bed with no pain. Cheyenne's hands worked like magic on my back and my neck. She made my migraine disappear! a migraine that nothing worked on...it usually lasts for 3 days, it was gone at day 2 and I slept like a baby. Keiko did the Rapid treatment on my 10 year old shoulder pain, and same thing, pain gone. I also love the location. located in a residential neighborhood with a side parking lot and lots of free street parking all around. They also direct bill, which is so convenient.

I wanted to wait until the day after to write my review just in case I didn’t feel the same. My treatment was above and beyond expected. As a nurse, my schedule is hectic & taking care of myself is last on my to-do list. So when I was practically in tears - I found this place. So starters - fully detailed therapist information with up to date availability and slots definitely a gold star. The building is located in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of street parking - be kind to the neighbours and be mindful of driveways and such. There is space for 3 cars behind the building - but that’s subject to parking abilities. (Bad parkers Rant for another day) The decor is very warm and inviting with a hint of whatever it is in the atomizer. You know, spa stuff. My only complaint if you call it that, they chose very noisy doors that your inner ninja must find a way to shut quietly so as not to disturb other patrons. Note: I am not a ninja. So being super last minute with my pain issues - I picked a male therapist, “Kia”. I figured even if he was horrible - he had the weight to at least knead out my knot laden back. Think “CPR” shoulders over elbows over wrists. At least 170lbs? Those knots wouldn’t stand a chance! What a bonus for me- Kia took the time to literally identify every one of those painful knots (from hell). He really took the time to address them and their outer lying musculature. Also, very professional and knowledgeable to both service and suggestions for “mindfulness” so as not to worsen my condition. It was the kind of massage that I felt was tailored to my battered condition. I wanted to wait a day to see if it was just temporary relief. I actually got home after my appointment and napped for 6 hours strait. I don’t think I can remember a time when I didn’t wake a million times to readjust due to pain. I woke up this morning slightly sore, like a good session at the gym. My pain associated with stiffness totally decreased. I definitely recommend this company. I’ll update with photos my next visit- I really didn’t have the time to totally absorb the place as I was attended to so quickly with the super nice front desk staff.

Woke up yesterday having slept funny with a very sore neck and back. Unable to see my usual therapist, I went on Google Maps to find a place close by that could see me the same day. Therapeutic Body Concepts was able to accommodate me within hours with their easy to use scheduling website. I was able to go for a 45 minute massage on my lunch hour because intake forms were available to fill out and bring along. They Direct Bill as well, which is important to me. The studio is clean, with relaxing decor and a peaceful atmosphere. There are sturdy, adjustable, motorized tables that were very comfortable. Linens provided were very cozy. Reception was organized, friendly and got me settled in immediately. I got Emily, who was very thorough in asking me questions about my health and the issue I was there to see her for. She asked me what type of pressure I preferred and actually maintained my preferred level. She checked in regularly to make sure I was doing well. I will definitely be returning to Therapeutic Body Concepts and Emily, and if you are looking for a place to go in the West End, you won't be disappointed!

I was looking for a relaxation massage and I expressed this to the therapist before my treatment, she did exactly that, and worked on a couple of my specific problem areas. The massage was great. The registration and invoicing process not so much. Upon your first visit a copy of your ID will be made and placed on file along with your credit card information, if you miss an appointment you will be charged. As long as this information is kept secure this procedure seems fair enough, but it is unusual compared to other health care providers. Since I declined to give my credit card information they said they wouldn't direct bill my insurance company for me, again fair enough. However, at this moment I am still waiting to receive my online invoice from a massage 3 days ago, so I can't even claim it myself yet.

I came across TBC online and haven't looked back since! I have seen 3 of the RMT's there and I will soon try Acupuncture. All 3 ladies that I have seen for Massage have been superb!! I always leave feeling amazing. I have chronic lower back pain and a hip injury. These ailments rarely affect me anymore day-to-day and I have to say it is from the highly trained and professional therapists that this clinic has on staff. Their reception staff has always been extremely friendly towards me and give me a courtesy reminder call before appointments, which is helpful for me. They also Direct Bill to my Insurance Provider - Manulife!! This was a delightful surprise when I first visited as I was unaware that they billed directly. I never have to pay out of pocket! The owner, Tia Blakely, is one of the sweetest businesswomen I have ever met and she definitely knows how to staff a clinic! I will continue to tell everyone I know and meet about this place, Tia! You guys are my #1 stop for my aches and pains! Keep it up!

Prior to the appointment I just left, I would have given five stars however due to the experience I just had, I am going to have to leave a neutral review. The massage therapists here are all talented and I have always left feeling better. However, I did just try acupuncture for the first time here and booked a 30 minute message following. The appointments were set up by the front desk, the 75 minute acupuncture at 5:30 pm with the 30 minute message at 6:00 pm. I called at noon today to confirm that everything was correctly booked as math didn't really add up but was told this was correct as this is how the acupuncturist sets up her schedule as sessions overlap but I should expect to be at the clinic for almost 2 hours. I was doubtful but trusted the information given as they should know their system right? I arrived slightly early at 5:15, more than happy to wait but was admitted early. While I was in the room by 5:15, I waited in the room for 20 minutes and at 5:35 the session started. While I did get a mixture of acupuncture and a massage, low and behold to my surprise when at 6:32 pm I was told I am all done. When I left the room after getting dressed I did question why I was already done as the acupuncture session should be 75 minutes not an hour and I should have a 30 minute message still. Meaning I should be leaving at 7:15 NOT 6:40 taking into account me getting dressed. I was not charged the first time acupuncture session rate just the standard rate nor was i charged the 30 minute message even though at first I was told I would be and just to book again for a free 30 minute message next time but I am pretty sure the scowl on my face while waiting to pay played a part in the change of heart not to mention I had already decided I would say I will not be paying for the massage this time. I am not down playing the massage or acupuncture session received, however I am quite disappointed in the fact that my time was not treated as much as a priority or as important as the patient who was booked at the same time as I was and that due to the incorrectly booked appointments (which I even questioned and was given a little attitude about when I called, but hay turns out I was right) I left less then satisfied. My time and schedule for the rest of the evening has been thrown off due to this "mixup/miscommunication" which to me is unprofessional. While the massages here are up to par, the customer service isn't. On the fence whether I will book again, but as of right now, I will be looking for a new clinic to attend.

I just went in for my first appointment and loved it, before I was done my paperwork my inurance was approved which was nice not to think about before the massage. My masseuse was Lee and she was seriously amazing, she is very strong but didn't hurt me, and got out some knots I didn't know I had. I booked my second appointment right after coming out, and writing this the day after.... I feel great. The only negative I can say was the walls are a little thin so you can hear a little chatter from outside the room, but that isn't really an issue, more of a quibble. Asked them if they do direct billing through who i was covered from and they assured me that they do, therefor based on that i booked my appointment and drove over a half hour to get to the place. Having a sore neck the last couple of weeks I finally decided to visit a massage therapist. Not knowing who or where I should go, I googled it and found Therapeutic Body Concepts Massage which has a high review rating with lots of respondents. I immediately went to their website which is well laid out with all the required services and the costs. I proceed to book the appointment for the following day for an hour and the cost was confirmed. I arrived early knowing that I may need to park down the street, I was greeted by reception and filled out the required forms prior to my time slot. I was then greeted by my RMT and explained my symptoms along with what might be causing it. After the treatment my RMT suggested a return date and then I proceeded back to reception. I paid the bill and re-booked the next appointment. I would have no problem recommending this clinic for treatment and I think that would also be reflective of both the high number of positive google reviews they have received with the owner responding to all of them.

I have been here several times over the last year or two, and I can safely say that this is my go-to for an amazing massage. I almost always book with Danielle, who does an incredible job of assessing my needs and tailoring her massage to meet them. As a courier, my body takes a lot of abuse with repetitive motions, but Danielle always leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the next day. She works out the knots that are usually present around my shoulders and upper back, and I couldn't be more thankful. Five stars for her and for the clinic in general. My husband and I booked a couples massage at the west location. When we arrived, we were greeted by two of the friendliest massage therapists where we exchanged our masks with ones provided and they took our temperature. We then passed the reception desk with two lovely ladies that were helpful with anything we asked especially when paying at the end of our visit. The massages were excellent and my husband said the massage was one of the best he’s had in years. The clinic was clean, quiet and I loved the music in the room. All the Covid precautions made us feel safe. We can’t wait to book again and we will definitely become regulars!

I recently decided I needed to get a massage after having years of stiffness and soreness in my upper back and neck. I ended up booking with Cindy and I would give her 6 stars if I could. Firstly I didn't realize how much pain I really was in, as it just became normal. Cindy was able to determine where exactly the pain was coming from, a past injury to my right should. She worked really muscles from my jaw down my neck and shoulders. Relieving so much tension and stress. Cindy also creates an awesome atmosphere while she does massage. I am not really one for quiet and the sounds of rain. Instead we spent the hour chatting and she shared some of her favorite songs with me. If your an Adele fan Cindy is your go to haha. After a few visits we have put a plan in place of physio and massage. So that I can really get rid of this pain caused by pasted injuries. Really happy I met Cindy and the team at Therapeutic Body Concepts.

I had been searching for the best massage therapist for my chronic pain due to an MVA. I found therapeutic body concepts. I've been seeing Kirana for the past couple of years and have always left feeling more relaxed and well taken care of. I especially love the thai stretching and massages. She is very personable and offers suggestions to help in my daily life to reduce muscle tension. You usually need to prebook with her because she gets booked up fast but there has been times that I needed a massage right away - so I've seen other RMTs here and have been equally happy! Keiko for RAPID neurofascial release and Alex for deep tissue massages have been amazing. I'm sure any of the staff here are extremely skilled in taking care of your needs. I've recommended this place to several people and my husband comes here often and also loves this massage clinic. The couples mssage rooms are super cozy and feel like a retreat. Even though it is a bit of a drive for us, it is definately worth it for quality massages. I like that they are able to direct bill and on Mondays, they usually have weekly specials on their website! My experience with therapeutic is wonderful.. I am writing this review for Kirana she is my therapist. When I came to her I was having a really bad lower back pain and it was really hard for me to even sit and lying on the bed. But with her experience and her magical hands took my pain away. I highly recommend anybody without any doubt this place and Kirana.

Jason is amazing! I booked with him entirely by chance, his schedule happened to be open at a time I really needed a massage and I feel like I hit the jackpot. I've been through about 7 therapist in the last 5 or 6 years and I have NEVER had as good a massage as with Jason. Aside from him being absolutely amazing at his profession, he is also very kind and welcoming, very respectful, and seems like he's sincerely concerned for your well-being. I couldn't ask for a better experience, and I will definitely be back!

Poor communication, a few current and past therapist were pushy of their opinions and argumentative when disagreed with. (Please note there were a number of very good therapists). Overall management was inconsiderate and managed situations poorly.

Booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I’s anniversary at Therapeutic Body Concepts after doing tons of research. He and I had never gotten a massage before so it was both of our first times. I had Alexandra as my masseuse and my boyfriend had Amy. They were both extremely professional at first impression and made us feel so comfortable. Although it was only a 30 minute session, Alexandra made sure to take care of every part of my body to the best of her ability. I definitely felt incredibly relaxed. So much that when the session ended, I was left wanting more. Will definitely be coming back here as it made us both realize how nice massage therapy is.

Ayy was awesome. The reason for only 3 stars, is they stated, on their website, they direct bill to all major providers which is why I booked here. I had a bad fall, in severe shoulder pain and payday a week away. Imagine my embarrassment, when I come out from my massage to be informed oh we don't direct bill to your provider. Even though I had supplied my benefit card upon arrival. When my claim is approved through my provider, I will pay my invoice and continue my search for a massage therapist and accupuncturist. I want to stress that Amy was amazing as a massage therapist and recommend her highly.

I've been seeing Kia for almost 2 years now and he is absolutely amazing. Not only is he great at what he does but hes super knowledgeable about fitness so he also helps me with different ways to increase my strength. I like how I can walk in there and he knows that all my stress is kept in my traps and he focuses on them. As for the place itself, the front desk personnel is always friendly and helpful. The waiting room and the individual rooms are always clean which makes a huge difference. I recommend this place to everyone i run into asking about masseuses.

This place is great. Very professional and tons of sorts of treatments available. Kia is a great massage therapist. If you are looking for something new that well loosen you up, try rapid release. Its painful but you will feel.much better after only a couple sessions. Kieko is the therapist as well as Kia

Got recommended by a good friend to come here for massages since my work requires me to do a lot of heavy lifting and working in hot environment and with that my back is always sore, between the shoulder blades and lower back especially.
