This place is awesome hands down. Great environment to better fitness, health and movement. If you want to actually enjoy your time at the gym, while getting fit, StrongHearts is the place to go. Great trainers, small classes, and amazing people! Make a goal, and they will help you reach it! I was climbing ropes and doing pull-ups in no time (who can say that?!) Great class times that work for all schedules, and so much variety. I love being a part of the StrongHearts family. Thanks Adam! You rock!

Our teenage son has been doing CrossFit at Stronghearts to complement his football training. They have listened to his goals, worked with him to create a plan, and supported him every step of the way so far with advice and encouragement. They keep us up to date on how he is doing as well, and I feel like he is being taken care of by people who treat him like family. Positive, caring, encouraging atmosphere. Highly recommended!!

In the middle of August I was ready to make a change to my health. As a 57 yr old woman, I’m thankfully not in any kind of health crisis, but I’m about 20 pounds overweight and was pretty squishy. I started the introductory training with Chris Berglund on Aug 22. It didn’t take long for me to notice that I had also been suffering from soft-body-creep. That’s where you’re just chugging along in your life and fail to notice that you’re getting slower and weaker over time. After about a month of hard work, because it is really hard work, I noticed that when I got to the top of a flight of stairs I didn’t have to take that split second pause any longer. When I get into the car, I’m no longer using my hand and arm to assist my left leg into the car. I haven't really lost too many pounds yet, but underneath I can now feel firm muscles forming. Chris has been patient, but also knows how to push me. He also has a good sense of humour and that is really important for 6 or 7am morning workouts! I’m now doing regular classes twice a week and any that I have attended have been great. At one point in my life (back in the stone age) I could do 30 feet-elevated pushups! I can’t even do one complete pushup yet, but I know the day is coming! I am so thankful to Stronghearts.

I love Stronghearts! Its made fitness much easier for me, I just book in, turn up and put the work in. My whole body feels firmer and stronger, and having a coach the whole time ensures I am doing it right so injuries have gone away. The classes are also really friendly so its very easy to make friends. Be prepared to work though! But if you are ok with that, you will see unparalleled fitness benefits.

Near the end of 2019, I decided to add some variety to my fitness routine and was curious about CrossFit, having never really tried it before and not knowing very much about it. Before long, coming to StrongHearts after work to exercise in a fun, encouraging environment became the highlight of my day, and I can’t say enough great things about all of the coaches, the quality of instruction, and sense of community. My overall fitness has improved significantly since I started, and with all of the workouts being scaled to your own fitness level, knowledgeable coaches, and supportive, inclusive members, there’s something for everyone here whether you’re looking to start your fitness journey, add to your existing routine, or just try something new.

Strong Hearts Fitness has truly been a blessing in my life. I recently moved back to the Valley from Labrador and was in some serious need of some fitness. I am a Missionary who works with single mothers, widows and their children in Eastern Africa. To address shortfalls in funding for Literacy training for my mission I chose to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness to the organization I am affiliated with and for literacy training for my women in Uganda. With only 3 months to prepare for the climb I met with Adam Morden of strong Hearts and he matched me with the perfect trainer. A physical training program was thoughtfully created for me, one that honoured my body and my mission by avoiding injury while building the strength and stamina required to successfully summit Mount Kilimanjaro. My summit of the mountain was indeed successful and I reached my fundraising goals. I am so grateful that I chose Strong Hearts for my training needs. The professionalism and dedication of the staff at Strong Heart Fitness is second to none. I have found community there and I have found personal success there many times over.

This is a fantastic gym. My body hurt from a couple months of travelling and irregular exercise, and the folks at StrongHearts Fitness sorted me out. I felt welcomed from day one, and was very impressed by their knowledge and eye for good form. I had a month membership and was able to drop in on a mix of classes, depending on what worked best for my day. I went to a different gym 6 weeks postpartum for about 6 months, doing a cardio class 4 days/week. When i switched to Stronghearts, 2 weeks in i was already more fit than I was from the previous 6 months at the other gym! The coaches here are very professional and honestly... its fun! This is the best place to work out in town!

I've been at Stronghearts for 9 months now and it's the highlight of my week. Having never joined a gym before, my only regret is not finding this type of fitness sooner. I do a mixture of CrossFit and Conditioning classes and I'm amazed at the progress so far. It's not just physical either. I feel stronger mentally and emotionally; with each new skill learned or goal achieved, comes a major boost in confidence. My favourite classes are the Ladies Only ones; they're a really fun hour full of laughter, encouragement, and genuinely helping each other to be our best selves. As a stay at home mum to 3 young kids, I look forward to the social aspect at the gym, just as much as the daily workouts. My daughter also looks forward to her hour of playtime in the kids' area. No two classes are exactly alike and that keeps it exciting and challenging. Combined with the awesome coaches who are so knowledgeable, so strong, and so supportive, Stronghearts is a pretty special place. The addiction is real!
