I decided to see Jennifer after having my 3rd baby and considerable hip pain. I have never been to a physiotherapist and was not sure what to expect but it was recommended by my midwife. Jennifer has been helping me get through the pain of pregnancy with a breeze. At 25 weeks, I started to have discomfort around my pelvic area. It became hard to walk, to sit, to change position in bed and especially to get out of bed in the middle of the night to void and I void a lot. I was diagnosed by an obgyn with pelvis symphysis diastasis ,loosening of the pelvic joint. I wanted to see someone who is an expert regarding this issue and I am so lucky to have found Jennifer. She takes the time to listen to you and get as much detailed information about you, really drawing upon her communication skills to really get down to the nitty gritty to figure your issues. Booking my appointment was very easy through their online platform. Upon my first visit, I was greeted with a warming pack for my lower back while I waited for Jennifer. During that first appointment, she took the time to listen to me and took notes of the pain I was describing. She then took the time to evaluate multiple body movements. Which helped her pinpoint exactly the muscle/joint that what was causing my lower back pain. She took the time to massage the affected area and manipulated my hips. After that very first session, I was able to bend and touch my toes again when moments before, there was no way my back could support any forward bend. Jennifer then gave me stretches to do at home until my next appointment. I truly did my part and noticed incredible improvements. The pain was gone and I had a little discomfort performing certain twists or lifting heavier items. During my second appointment, she once again evaluated my body movements and did some treatment/massage. I still didn't feel 100% restored, but I could move again. What more could I ask for! I was given strengthening exercises that I did once I got home and I can tell you that my pain completely disappeared the next day!!! I had absolutely no more pain! I kept doing the exercises to strengthen my back and after an email exchange we evaluated that a third appointment was no longer necessary and it was cancelled at no extra cost. I highly recommend seeing Jennifer. She is someone knowledgeable and pays attention to detail. She takes the time to explain the source and cause of pain and she knows exactly which exercises will help you get back on track. I went from 3 months of excruciating back pain to my normal self within 2 appointments over the span of 2 weeks. Don't look any further, she is the physio that will solve you aches and pain.

I've had several Physio and Oseto sessions. The service is always great! We did a lot of different exercises to nail down the source of pain. They took the time to explain everything in a way that is easy to understand and at the end of every session a list of exercises was sent by email with video examples. I've been keeping up with the exercises and my problem is gone.

I have been suffering from what I thought was bladder pain, reoccurring UTIs for which doctors quickly prescribed antibiotics after antibiotics. Being someone who does not like to take meds, I decided to seek help from a Urologist who performed an ultrasound and a cystoscopy which both came back with normal results. Confused, the doctor was going to prescribe me pain management pills not knowing what was causing me so much pain. That's when I decided enough was enough and started my own research. I read a lot of articles on the pelvic floor and how it can be responsible for a wide range of symptoms including all of the symptoms I was suffering from so I quickly made an appointment with Jennifer Nwankwo who has been an absolute angel. She is so knowledgeable, truly cares about your wellbeing and is 100% dedicated to finding the solution to your problem. Pelvic floor physio is not the most comfortable type of treatment but Jennifer knows how to put you at complete ease. I've already started to see some improvements in my pain and it has only been 2 sessions I have had with her. I had been suffering with this for two years and consulted with many professionals with no success. If you're looking for a physiotherapist I highly recommend Jennifer Nwankwo at Nuvo Physio/Elle Sante. Black woman and family owned clinic, near Namur metro, with free parking, and an accessible entrance. She also specializes in perinatal health (along with other modalities) and there's even a room for clients to bring their babies with childcare often provided! She is highly skilled and trained but also made sure she was accessible and clear. A huge bonus was her consent-informed practice and the way that she not only told me what she was going to do/touch but also demonstrated it before hand. She was also very non-judgemental and I shared a lifetime of experiences with her. Also when I arrived Ashanti was playing in the background sooo in case you're not convinced. Excellent first visit! Jennifer gave in depth explanation of every test and theory she had about my injury, and created a comfortable environment. She really went above and beyond! Other physiotherapists I have worked with before will just silently do their work or mumble about something or other without explaining anything, and give exercises that don't really make any sense. Here though, I feel as though I understand fully the mechanism and location of my injury, which will help me not only recover, but treat my body with more care in the future! The receptionist was also very kind and friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was there was quite a few stairs on the way into the studio, and several hard to see steps at the entrance to the building. For me personally this was not a big problem, but I imagine someone with less mobility than me may have some accessibility issues. Perhaps this could be mentioned in the appointment email, or there could be a section on the form where a patient can request help getting into the building. I am sure the problem can be solved by this great team!
