When I booked my first appointment online, I requested confirmation that my insurance would be accepted. I did receive a voicemail shortly after booking verifying that it would be covered. Unfortunately I had the time wrong and was late so I rushed to get the paperwork filled in for at least a 30 min. massage, and when my insurance was ran, I was told a prescription was required and asked if I had one....the reason I inquired about coverage before hand was to avoid this situation all together. My time was wasted, their time was wasted and it could have been avoided had this been checked before. If most policies require this, saying that in the voicemail I recieved, would have been helpful since you know how things work. "I guess they didn't understand" isn't a suitable response. Front office was clean and inviting though.
*just to clarify the owners response: I think the point of my issue is being missed here. When my appointment was booked, my online question was asked that my insurance be verified before my appointment, a voicemail left at my home, ensured me that it would be covered....upon arriving late and accepting a 30 min. session instead of an hour, it was determined that a prescription was needed, the very same information I asked be verified BEFORE my appointment. An appointment for later that day was declined due to the fact that there was time for a 30 min. The issue is not with the appointment time, date, length, it's the fact that when requested to have my insurance verified BEFORE my appointment and arriving only to find out that this was NOT done after ensuring me it was, is unprofessional. I also must add that my appointment for the following week was promptly removed after my review was posted.
