I have mixed feelings about Rave. The staff there are extremely friendly, but I've been for two prenatal massages and I did not fully enjoy either of them. I am aware that I'm biased because these were not regular massages, but the first one I went to was a couples massage with my fiance and I felt that the massage therapist was way too hard on my muscles. I was sore for about a week after the massage, which is the worst thing to experience when you're already so sore and achy from the pregnancy itself. I decided to go again and try a different massage therapist the second time, but the experience was worse. The room was too warm and I felt like my face was stuffed into a tiny hole and I couldn't breathe properly. They used a pregnancy pillow so I could lay on my stomach, but it was just very uncomfortable- stuffy and didn't work for my body. I ended up having to stop the massage to ask for some water because I overheated and couldn't breathe. I'm sure for regular massages these folks are great, but I decided against going back here during my pregnancy.

Let me start by saying that the massage therapist I had was great. It's the front end service is where I have a problem. I was late for my appointment by 15 minutes - it couldn't be helped. As I'm driving they call to see if I am coming. When I get there, that's when they tell me that I won't get the full hour and all other slots are booked up. I ended up with a 45 minute massage. Unfortunately, they still charged me for an hour session!! I asked if they could correct my bill, and they said they weren't able to because the computer wouldn't allow it! That did it for me. Yeah, I was late - that doesnt give you the right to screw people over. I feel that I've been screwed over and I will not be back.

Loved it. Joseph was super kind and started small talk at times and keeps me updated on what he’s doing or going to do, checks in on how the pressure is and if the towel is a good temperature. I’ve seen reviews saying the receptionist is rude, there might be a new one but the receptionist I encountered was very polite and even apologized for mistaking my age for older than I was, overall I’ve been to this place twice and I loved everything about it, my back and neck pains are much better now. I am definitely coming again.

The massage was just ok, the extra service I received (scalp massage) I personally didn't enjoy and it was done during my 1 hour massage, not after, which I was unaware of. I should have asked I suppose. I didn't like their request for a tip either. That really should be removed from their POS machines. I don't tip nurses or physio therapists, why would I tip for massage therapy? Anyway, overall experience was mediocre at best. Sorry, just want wowed.

Rave Massage has an awesome, professional, and very welcoming staff. They are always punctual for your appointment so make sure to arrive a little early. The therapists always take a minute or two to see which areas are bothering you. They provide many different massage and aroma therapy options. Each room is equipped with warming tables and after working on an area they apply a heated moist towel. After applying the towel for a few seconds it's used to remove any excess massage oils. The rooms are clean with reduced lighting with calming music plays for a very relaxed atmosphere. The complimentary option of a room temperature or cold bottle of water after the massage is a nice added touch of service. Rave also offers a Membership option which includes a reduced rate and a free aroma therapy option with the massage. The membership option also extends to anyone within the household so they can also receive your reduced rate. Very satisfied with the level of service they provide and would recommend them to all my friends and family.

I booked in for an emergency prenatal massage as I was having really bad pain in my SI joints. Caitlin was amazing and very friendly. I went in unable to walk without pain and left feeling like a new woman! The pregnancy pillow allowed me to lay on my stomach during the massage and it felt fantastic. I’ll definitely book with Caitlin again before my due date! Rave was very clean, all staff were friendly, and it was easy to get a same-day appointment.

I went here for a birthday treat to myself with my wife. We got a couples massage which was fabulous. They had us fill out a questionnaire about what our needs were and if we need specific attention to isolated areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful with a great level of professionalism. The pricing was on par with other places in the city but I would not hesitate to go back again. Lots of parking and easy access. Inside the experience is very tranquil and relaxing as it should be. Very clean and well maintained with well equipped private rooms.

Me and my partner had a great couples massage here, you do need to book like 3 or 4 weeks in advance, but it was great and relaxing, and they were able to easily accommodate giving her a prenatal massage, as she was 5 months pregnant. Highly recommend them. Better and more relaxing atmosphere then other places I've been too in Winnipeg.

The massage was satisfactory. However, the front staff was horrible. The worst ever! My son was late by 15 minutes and we said we had no issues paying for the full hour as it was booked for the hour. When we showed up late, we apologized and the receptionists just glared at us. They were very rude. I have been to many appointments and treatment appointments but never had experienced such rude staff. I do not recommend this place.

Needed to get in ASAP for a massage as I was having back pain, called and they fit me in same day for a 30 minute massage. Saw Joseph and the whole experience was very professional. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The only thing I wish they would've mentioned is that: If its your very first visit with them you'll get a discounted "Intro Price" if I knew this I may have tried to book a 60 minute massage instead of the 30 as you only get the intro price for the initial visit. In the end I was entirely relieved of my back pain, I would highly recommend seeing Joseph if you want a deep tissue massage. Keeping it at 5 stars for that reason! I will be back!

Great therapists - gave 5 stars 7 months ago. But front desk booking procedures and communication are completely lacking. My previous 2 appointments were booked a month in advance, but were cancelled at the last minute (a couple of hours), with an offer to reschedule with a different therapist and at a different time / day. Then - this past Saturday - received an email notification for "last minute openings Sunday (today) & Monday". I booked immediately (within 30 min). I arrived today to find the "last minute opening" was for next Sunday (not what the email offered). Hugely unimpressed. ***The owner has responded below, but he's left out some info, so I have clarified some details. Yes - I did not look closely at the text confirmation I later received back. I did not think I had to, as the email was offering last minute openings - not a week or more away. And the 'reschedules' I was offered on the first 2 cancellations were simply the single openings they had. If I did not take them (took 1 of 2), my rebooking was waiting at least a week or more.***

I had my first experience with Rave Massage 6 months ago and it keeps getting better! Today I switched it up and had a 60 minute Hot Stone Massage........what an amazing experience!! Explaining the massage does not do it justice, it has to be experienced! The stones were a perfect temperature for deep relaxation/repair. I always see Ted, the owner, and his experience shows in his technique. Everything flows! There were even hot stones that are placed between your toes! The Hot Stone experience gets wrapped up with a cold stone facial massage and a hot, scented towel rolled up and placed under your neck! It’s the BEST! A great massage any time of the year but particularly on a chilly January day in Winnipeg! I suggest you have someone drive you and pick you up though as your body is so relaxed when you leave you aren’t really interested in driving!! Can’t wait for my next visit!!

As many people already wrote, the front desk people are very rude and mean. But I still decide to have a membership for a year (2019-2020) because Anna Kaegi is the best! And I come there for a massage, not to chat with the receptionist anyways. Anna is very caring and friendly. She checked up from time to time within the massage to ensure that the pressure is good, or the bed is warm, etc. Her technique is very good and effective. After each of my therapy, I feel so much better. My lower back pain seems much better than before.

I had my first visit to the clinic recently and was very disappointed. I will first say that the clinic itself is very nicely done, aesthetically, and does have a nice vibe to it. I appreciated that all the employees were conscious of being quiet in the lobby area as to not disturb the treatments going on in the rooms. My issue was the actual massage practice and communication. First, the massage therapist didn't even introduce themselves. Then, upon entering the room, the only couple questions asked was if I would like an upper body or full body massage. This conversation was also held between the massage therapist and myself while she had the door ajar ready to leave as if she was in a rush to get on with the treatment; so the people waiting in the lobby outside could hear our conversation. You are to fill out a form of what your needs and concerns are before your first visit. None of this was discussed, no plan or targets to improve these areas, no discussion on why certain things may be bothering me etc. It felt very much like I was just a number and there was no long term commitment to my needs and concerns as a client. After the treatment, I was simply asked how I felt after, and to help myself to some water and to have a nice day. Will not be returning, will not be recommending to others. Deeply disappointed given the good reviews. Very flawed and misrepresented by the reviews.

They called me 10 minutes before my appointment and said the therapist wouldn’t make it. No apology, just that “these things happen”. No offer to reschedule later in the morning or with another therapist, or offer of a discount if I booked again for my inconvenience. Terrible customer service, and I’ll be sure to share my experience with family and friends.

I was just here the other day. Had a horrible time. Poor technique and time management from the masseuse side. Told her I had surgery on my knee though it was 4 years ago it still hurts to the touch. She massaged so hard the tips of the fingers which make the pressure more intensified near my stitches and that was painful. All the pressure wasn't uniform only hard on one side or just not consistent overall. She only massaged one leg and not the other. She went from my back to my legs and back to the back but only the one side I had concern on. When she massaged my chest it was super painful too she pressed so hard again with the finger tips on my chest bones. I was so uncomfortable and in pain I had to ask how much time I had left, which I'd never done before considering I pay for the full time I'm there. At the end I told the receptionist I did't have a good massage and why. She told me she was going to get the owner. She then left me for a while only to come back with my masseuse! I was ambushed and that was horrible. She didn't even offer any compensation for next time, not that I was looking for that either. I've been here a couple of times, but this time sure looked like it was going to be my last. Horrible horrible experience! The receptionist sure didn't handle this the way she should've.
