To this day the business gets a score of 5 over 5 and the score was based on 86 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is unbeatable, in fact, it gets the best score it can earn., and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is very credible. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Massage Therapist is included in the category of Physical therapist.
Amazing place with wonderful supportive coaches and very engaged students. The physio is top-notch - client focused and movement specific. Assessments are very thorough and carefully done - and frequently re-evaluated to measure improvements. Recently I have been working with Carlie and she's been wonderful to work with. With her careful assessments and prescribed exercises I've been able to gain considering extension in my back and shoulders allowing me to do pull-ups and chin-ups such that my chest touches the bar. Achieving full range pull-ups and chin-ups has been a goal of mine for your years! Carlie's support and guidance has been pivotal in achieving this goal.
Had the opportunity to be a patient of Rebecca the Physical Therapist. She was fantastic for the few weeks I was seeing her. Top notch communication skills explaining her diagnosis and the rational for her treatment in layman’s terms. Importantly, she’s a very hands on / manual physical therapist - never pushing for fancy machine based treatment modalities. She created a great home pain control regime for me with app of the techniques recorded so I could review at home. She also provided dry needling on my first visit which was fantastic relief from the injury pain. She also got be back into my normal routine without needing several hundred appointments. Will be returning again with my next sports injury.
I had a friend recommend going to Move to Move for Physio and I have not been disappointed. I started seeing Carlie Rompre last year after I dislocated my shoulder and have been very happy with our physio sessions. She is throrough in her assessment and takes the time to explain what is happening and provides lots of different exercises and stretches to complement the treatment. She is my go to physiotherapist in Calgary!
I really enjoy all aspects of the classes I attend at Move to Move. It's a safe space and I feel stronger even after going just a few times. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend the physiotherapy at Move to Move. As a high performance climber it’s important to get comprehensive assessments and rehab programs to minimize downtime. I've seen Karyn many times for finger, shoulder, and hip injuries and each time I was able to get back to my normal training quickly. She takes the time to get to know you, assess the injury and create a personalized rehab program. I attend a lot of the movement classes as well so it's great that the movement teachers are always communicating with the rehab team to make sure your training is in line with your rehab program.
Carlie was awesome today! She assessed me thoroughly, explained what was going on with my injury gave me treatment and finished off showing my some stretches to improve my injury. I felt I got the proper care and attention I need to get better :) Great welcoming from the front desk when I got there as well as it was my first time at the clinic.
Excellent class, challenging, and able to accommodate people of different levels of experience and skill.
Was visiting from Sweden. A great creative set up. Designed and dreamt up by the owners/instructors. A great advantage is the in-house physio therapy assessment and therapy. The instruction is good - seen by the good progress and performance of the students Classes are very well organised and structured. Very friendly ambience. Instructors are passionate and self disciplined in their teaching and self practice. This is the place to go to move if you want to keep moving in life.
I'm about 3 weeks in to a movement program at Move to Move. There has been lots of one-on-one coaching with a focus on the details, good form and function. Continuous improvement and complexity means classes stay interesting and engaging. I learn at least one new skill/movement every class. Rhythm, coordination, speed and strength are all addressed in the practice. I've definitely seen improvement in hip mobility, shoulder stability and strength and overall ability to control my body. It's helping correct some of my bad habits I've picked up over the years. The Kinstretch classes are also excellent for those end range movements in the hips/shoulders/feet etc. *** 2..5 year update - I've been going to Move to Move fairly consistently for the past couple of years. Over that time I've repaired and strengthened my shoulders and hips, developed new skills but most importantly I've developed a better capacity to learn new physical elements. Now when a new concept is introduced I have a better understanding of what I need to progress. So much so that I've joined a martial arts gym to learn even more new stuff. At Move to Move I've developed a handstand, gymnastics ring routine, learned all sorts of ways to move around on the floor, planche progressions, developed some basic skills in weight lifting, coordination, balance. I'm better at everything than when I started. I've really enjoying the process and have found it to be extremely worthwhile.
As a former high performance athlete and strength coach, I thought I had a pretty good grasp on training my body and mind. However training under the guidance of Bonar and Lea at MOVE TO MOVE has had profound positive impacts on my approach to physicality and an active life. I have achieved things I never thought possible, and have learned new passions that I never would of explored without M2M’s educational and generalist approach to Movement. It is such a gift for me to grow in these ways within the inclusive community M2M fosters. I feel so lucky to have Canada’s only facility dedicated to this practice!!
Professional and professionals. Big fan on how this place transformed my body movement to now. Greatly improved my yoga teaching skills in knowing deeply how I can push my strength with the movement classes attended.
I love Move to Move for both their classes and rehabilitation services. Their approach to movement health is preventative with a focus on building physical resiliency that can translate across different movement disciplines. They make high level movement training accessible to those at all levels in their training journey. I believe that their multidisciplinary team of movement coaches, physical therapists, and massage therapists is outstanding. I've had the chance to learn from Bonar, Lea, Colin, Dejuan, Ty, Karyn, and Carlie. My most recent visit was with Carlie for physiotherapy: she guided me through revisions to my home exercise program. She helped me feel empowered to get back on track with my movement goals at a time when I was particularly vulnerable. Carlie's knowledge, experience, can-do attitude and empathy made this a great experience for me.
Amazing classes, groups, people. Beautiful set-up - definitely a wonderful place to learn new ways of moving!
Carlie was a wonderful physiotherapist. She helped me work through my golfers elbow and get me back in climbing shape!
Really happy to be under Lea's care. My old injury has finally started improving. She pinpointed the problem immediately. They also have a great facility for group classes.
Been going here for my MVA physio for about a month now. I really like it here. I've been seeing Janine and she is awesome! Very chill and calm environment too so that helps with the therapy!
Great Kinstretch classes and friendly, helpful staff.
My first visit to Move to Move was today, a massage with Sam March. I've had many sports and injury therapy massages over the years and Sam's treatment was in the top tier. I'll be back for more treatment from Sam. Following my treatment we did a tour of the facility. The clinic is centrally located, has free parking, is clean, tidy and bright - what else could you ask for? They also do direct billiing to my insurance - amazing. On the way out I spoke with Leah (co-owner) about their classes and treatment options. Leah's is a physiotherapist and she had great advice on treating some injuries I have and for creating a sports training and treatment plan.
This class was awesome, Lea structures each class for the total body. There are tie-backs to previous lessons so you build on your previous work. I had emailed a question to Lea between classes and in tonight's class, she took time to review my questions, demonstrate options, and provide practice time. Thank-you
(Translated) Very good. (Original) Muito bom.
I've been to two physio appointments with Lea at Move to Move, and she's been incredibly helpful helping me recover from a finger injury that occurred while rock climbing. She clearly has had experience with this type of injury before and quickly diagnosed the problem. Lea helped the healing process through the use of acupuncture and teaching me stretches that would help prevent this injury in the future. While her niche seems to be rock climbing injuries, I would recommend her to anyone who is in need of physiotherapy.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for all of your help Lea!
Unique interactive class that combined some coordination, balance, strength, and collaborative work. Really fun and challenging.
Karyn is an amazing Physio and helps me constantly. She keeps me in healthy condition to make sure I am able to keep doing all the things I love!
Amazing experience - the instructors at Move to Move consistently challenge and encourage their students. I'd recommend this studio to anyone who wants to improve their functional strength and mobility! Plus it's a lot of fun!
As an injury prone climber, over the years, Move to Move's physio and rehab team have helped me get back to my sport on multiple occasions. I used to have muscle twinges and tweaks that I thought I was going to have to live with until I went to physio with Lea. She is highly methodical in her screening process and has been able to not only diagnose my injuries but also provide clear explanation as to movement patterns or strength deficiencies that likely led to the injury to begin with. Being combined with a movement gym, the team is highly knowledgable when it comes to healthy, functional movement. Classes are also catered to a wide spread of abilities and the coaches will help you reach your workout goals in an achievable way. I highly recommend M2M if you're looking to get fixed, or simply to move better!
I have been seeing Carlie weekly for about 3 months now. She has helped me with my tennis elbow and stubborn chronic neck pain. She makes me feel valued, heard and cared for and I always look forward to seeing her smiling face. I cannot recommend her enough.
Bright, open and clean facility. Carlie was very knowledgeable and skilled at her practice. Her treatment and advice for at home care helped immensely in a speedy healing/recovery.
I worked with Carlie to rehab my ankle. She was amazing and really spent the time to figure out a rehab plan that would work for me and the activities I wanted to get back too (skiing/cycling/running). She went out of her way to accommodate me despite my chaotic schedule and public health changes at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was thorough, professional and I really enjoyed working with her. She kept me motivated to work hard both in the clinic and at home with my exercises. She is so kind and friendly, I cannot recommend her enough! Now my husband sees her for his injuries and thinks she is the best!
Worked with Carlie to rehab a tear in my shoulder, and she was amazing! Carlie is very easy to talk to, and takes the time to come up with a plan that will help with your goals. My range of motion greatly improved during my time with her. Thanks Carlie!
Movement training(Ido Portal method) at its best accessible to all levels. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation amd group mobility classes.
Good god I was skeptical going in for my initial physio consult but Karyn is a rock star; so patient, thorough and intuitive! After my initial session I'm already feeling much better and less tentative with my recent knee injury.
Valuable place to learn how to connect more functionally & foundationally to my body. I highly encourage anyone wanting to improve their quality and quantity of movement in a safe and supportive way to join. I feel stronger & more mobile as a result.
Wonderful people and service!
Have been going to move to move for almost a year now and it has been excellent. Carlie help me through all the stages of recovery after shoulder surgery. She helped me stay motivated and engaged in my exercises all the way from the sling back to the climbing wall.
Have been to a couple of classes. First experience wirh movement based approach. Really liked it. Instruction impressive. Everyone should go!
My first time in move to move. The lady in reception she's great. And Mr.Jarret ( a therapist) is a great guy and definitely knows what he is doing. He listened to clients what they really wants and need to be done. They are all friendly, with genuine happy face. Over all a great place to visit for your body pains needs. I will be back that's for sure. ????????????????????
The happiest place on Earth, even virtually! The teachers are very qualified and can adapt any exercises to your needs. The virtual classes are a great way to appreciate movement, especially if you're inside all day.
Great location and ambience, good price and great therapist
I first got involved with Lea and Bonar following a long history of back problems. After suffering a bad rugby injury in high school. Poor physiotherapists and even poorer approaches to rehab eventually resulted in back surgery and 7+ years of slow progress with periodic setbacks. That was, at least until I started playing with movement ideas, really working on my mobility and seeing Lea as a physio. She is hands down the best physio therapist I’ve seen. While I have by no means exhausted all options, over the last 15 years, I’ve seen quite a few for various injuries in Victoria, Vancouver, Canmore, Banff and Calgary. Out of probably 20+ practitioners, there is no comparison. She is excellent at really searching for root causes to issues and providing viable approaches to deal with the causes, rather than applying bandaids. The discussions and work that has evolved out of the physio sessions with Lea, Kinstretch classes with Lea and Bonar and more recently, work with Move to Move, Joseph Bartz and Gymnastic Bodies has radically shifted my attitude on what should be the basic standard for human functionality, mobility and movement. The pool is deep if you’re willing to explore it and genuinely care about your future health, functionality and ability to navigate the world around you. Movement as a concept is difficult to summarize, so the best that I can offer is that it is a highly worthwhile investment of your time, energy and money. Enter with an open mind and see where it leads. Nobody else in the region can offer what they do.
Outstanding service. Carlie helped me understand the root of my joint pain and addressed it holistically. I have freedom of movement now and the tools to maintain and improve it on my own. Perfect.
Awesome!
I made a physio appointment with Lea after suffering from elbow pain for over 4 weeks. I had a hard time explaining the pain because it only hurt during specific movements. She did a thorough assessment and knew exactly what was causing the pain. She released the tension in the muscles that was causing my pain and got everything working as it was supposed to. By the time she was done, the pain was completely gone. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to get treatment. Thank you Lea and Move To Move!
Carlie Rompre changed my opinion of physiotherapy! I used to hate physio because the places I went to before would spend minimal time with me and most of my appointment was just sitting with a TENS unit and heat, it felt like a waste of time. With Carlie, my entire appointment is dedicated one on one time! Carlie truly cares about the well being of her patients and always goes above and beyond the expected standard. She is very easy to talk to and I thoroughly enjoy my visits. I have to travel across the city to see her but I would follow her wherever she goes. I would definitely recommend Carlie to everyone!
Carlie was very thorough and professional. She took the time to ask the right questions, clearly explained the course of action and provided a follow up plan. I would highly recommend her for any physiotherapy treatment.
I have been working with Move to Move since Winter 2017. I have been very pleased with their approach to increasing strength and thus performance through full range of motion. Progressing from simple to more complex movements has been a rewarding experience, I and I have enjoyed setting and reaching goals with Bonar and Lea! Looking forward to more training in the future!
Had a back spasm before seeing Karyn yesterday. Was painful at work and driving. Today it feels great. So grateful to have found this studio!
After having been hit by a car as a pedestrian , and taking eight oxycodone per day for pain relief for my whiplash I visited Dr. Roger Menta at Move to Move. After three visits I was using 81% less pain killers, and after my forth visit I recently went for three days with no pain killers at all. And I am sure I will be using less and less as time goes by. I would highly recommend Dr. Menta for rehabilitation, Physio Chiro and Massage therapy.
Had a very informative time during the Elements introduction workshop. Bonar and Dejaun were very attentive to everyone's needs and levels while clearly and enthusiastically sharing the importance of the types of training they provide in their daily Movement Classes. I felt how I can become a much better massage therapist (in terms of dynamic alignment and bodily mechanics), especially because of scapular mobilization/stabilization in four cardinal directions. "Straight arm" conditioning will help me transfer the whole weight of my body when applying a lot of force onto another person's body instead of straining distal muscle groups. This work will keep my upper body's kinetic chains connected and capable of continuous use when massaging, and away from improper overuse injuries. In addition, as a dance and movement artist, I am grateful that there is a dedicated and focused place in Calgary where I can work on my "upside down" tricks to become a more versatile and technical artist. Thank you, MOVE TO MOVE!
Lea is an outstanding physio - thorough, compassionate and so knowledgeable.
Calgary is lucky to have such a facility. Have to come from Edmonton to see them. Looking forward to some shock wave therapy this summer.
Without Dr. Roger Menta, at Move2Move Rehabilitation Clinic and Movement Studio, I would still be in chronic back pain, my spine would still be immobile in certain places, I'd still be walking with a limp, and I'd still be mostly miserable from my body not moving as it should. Roger is an incredible specialist, chiro, and Functional Range Mobility teacher, so welcoming, he keeps it real and doesn't sugar coat anything, super nice, and I won't see anyone else! I recommend Dr. Roger Menta and his fellow team to literally EVERYONE I meet or overhear who says they're looking for help and are in pain. The Move2Move team is THE BEST!!! (And that's coming from someone who spent 17 years going to different providers and either getting more hurt or told I can go on pain meds to manage my issues, who had the highest hesitancy toward going there for fear the past would recur. I now trust Dr. Roger Menta with my life, my future, and that's literal! He has given my health and life back in addition to what my personal trainer has and I can't thank Roger enough!!!)
I had foot and ankle surgery a few months before my wedding. I was completely non weight-bearing for 4 weeks and transition back to walking left me with a limp and limited mobility in my ankle and big toe. I met with Carlie and she did a great job with my rehabilitation. My goal was to walk down the aisle in my wedding shoes without pain or limping and I attribute the ability to do so to Carlie’s skill and expertise.
This place is awesome. Janine determined my problem quickly and had me on my way in just a couple appointments. She gave me some maintenance exercises so that I will stay healthy. Also she is a wizard with needles. I was very nervous but they didn't hurt at all
The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The difficulty of the exercises can be varied up or down so its fun and challenging regardless of skill level.
Karyn is such an amazing physio! She takes a lot of time with her clients and makes sure she listens to you. She really creates an individual plan for you. I would recommend her to anyone who is having pain or wanting some training tips to make sure they don't get injuries.
Move to Move has created an amazing, welcoming community in Calgary. Individuals from different backgrounds, passions and skill levels all manage to get together and have fun while staying active and learning how to rehab or prevent injury. Would highly recommend the kinstretch class and their rehab team if in need for a tune-up!
Rebecca knows her stuff I can’t say enough about how much she is helping with a shoulder issue that I have been dealing with for over 7 years,
Points given for the floor; that is hands down one of the best floors I've ever walked on. The studio itself is small, but really maximizes the space. There are rooms off on the side for each practitioner. Karyn is my go to at this facility; her work is exceptional, and she's always a pleasure to be around. If you have questions, she'll happily answer them, all while listening to any concerns you may have. She eases you into the exercises, and you're able to follow along.
Great place, geat program. Unique combination of classes and in-house rehab specialists . Suitable for all levels and abilities. Great team and "community" feeling
Dr. Roger Menta was recommended to me as I was frustrated with the Chiropractor I was using at the time. I was using this individual for about 1.5 yrs with minimal results with the injuries/conditions I was dealing with. its now been 2.5+ years working with Dr. Menta and I have never felt better. Prior to seeing Roger I had been doing some research regarding FR, FRA and Kinstretch and was intrigued with the results I was reading about. I was happy to find out that in addition to his Chiropractic degree and associated certifications like ART, Graston, Acupuncture, Dr. Menta was certified in FR and Kinstretch. I have been blown away at the quick diagnosis regarding my injuries and Dr. Menta’s treatment plan has attacked the route causes of my injuries and not just put a bandaid on them. I highly recommend Dr. Menta and I highly recommend Kinstretch. They’re both game changers.
Had a fabulous massage with Jarrett. Staff was friendly.
Names Jason this is my wife's account, I want to give a honest review. I really like this place very good people running it, all the reviews above are bang on. Its something very different if I could describe it in one word it would be natural. I dont want to change peoples perception into expecting something. its very very hard movements but they break it down so anyone can do it and build a person up one movement at a time, I find myself bored to death at goodlife now and find myself crawling across the floor like a lizard ;) iv had very bad back problems and they have been a god sent in showing me a whole new world of things my body can do (and I mean that, iv worked muscles I dident know I had) taking me through it with precision coaching. I cant really say anything bad about the place, maybe the hours but they are new and will have later and more classes coming im sure, but the timing of the later class works great for me and my work now. The people going here are also very welcoming and fun.
As a former crossfit junkie, I was skeptical about what Move to move was offering and exactly what the heck type of workouts these were. Bought myself the month special intro and haven't looked back. Been going fairly consistently for the past few months and wow, I'm addicted. It's very hard and you will be frustrated at first, but after a few classes when you start to understand the movements and the workout, you suddenly start to do things you couldn't before and you progress quickly. It's definitely not boring and brings you out of your comfort zone. The two owners are also amazing, professional while keeping it easygoing and fun. The people who attend these classes are also supportive and chill. Thanks!
Went to my first class with Bonar at Move 2 Move today and will definitely be back! It was playful and enjoyable and totally accessible for all levels - Bonar was great at making sure all of the movements were scaleable and providing feedback and modifications. Congrats on a beautiful space and a great style of programming!
